We called for breakfast at 10am, the pub was busy with lots of people both eating and drinking. We both had a cooked breakfast. Staff friendly and happily exchanged my beans for a tomato. Tasted nice and a good price (much cheaper then the Premier Inn we were staying in) We called later for drinks, which we enjoyed as nice and chilled.

We went to Wetherspoons because it was a part of the "British Experience" for at least one of our party, but just as the evening got going they closed and unceremoniously kicked us out. Must be another part of the "British Experience" I guess. Still 5 drinks for less than £20, can't be bad!

Came for breakfast and I had to go to the bar to either ask for food they for got to put on the plate or to redo food. Staff are very good and accommodating but obviously have to much to do.

Excellent value for money.Food is good value and beer prices are unbelievably cheap.Service is generally as fast as they can cope with sometimes limited staff.Overall well worth a visit.Staff are usually hard working and prompt with orders.Meals are quick to come out of kitchen.It has a nice "pub" feeling even though it's a large establishment.

Good pub shame the barman with the earpiece curly hair seems to be unable to be polite to anyone even when your are saying please and thanks

Me and my family come we had 3 cheese burgers l had a bad stomach l think it was not cooked will not go again its rubbish l will not come again

I was disappointed at the small adult fish - it was truly more like a fish finger. We eat at spoons weekly with our foster children and this is our first poor experience

We went for the cooked breakfast,we ordered 2 small breakfasts which were brought to us more or less straight away which seemed to quick.The beans were cold and mine were in lumps all stuck together,bacon was stone cold and anemic looking,fried egg looked like it had hit the pan and straight out with the white all runny,hash brown looked like it was rock hard.My Husband went to the Bar to point out what was wrong,a waitress come and looked and said we will replace them,we said we wanted our money back and would be doing a review to which she just shrugged her shoulders.Obvious they don't care if you go back or not.Really disappointed with attitude.

Unfortunately my Dad has come down from Scotland & the staff including manager have refused to take Scottish money as this is 'company policy' as there are 'to many forgeries' & will not accept them. Embarrassing for me as I went the bar for him & poor customer service for legal tender. A shame as its a good pub & always enjoyed it in here.

The bar staff/manager twice tried to discretely replace the ale ordered from the table with something else without mentioning it. I ordered a Robinsons Fear of the Dark stout, and 45mins later ordered a New Buildings Courthouse porter. For my first order some generic "amber" ale was delivered. I ignored this mistake but after I received the same thing for my second, different order I returned it to the bar to complain. The new manager on shift told me that whoever had served me probably couldn't be bothered telling me that the original order wasn't available so they'd given me something else instead. My second order though had been available, and I'd still been given something I hadn't asked for. The person that had served me both times was the manager on the afternoon shift. As an apology, I was given a pint of Fear of the Dark from another pump. It was off, tasting more like vinegar. I left without ordering food. Don't buy ales on table service. You can't trust what they're serving, and probably don't bother with the White Swan, Solihull.

I brought my Nan for some dinner after shopping yesterday afternoon. Tables were clean and there was a good atmosphere. The person who took my order took the wrong items down, didn’t give me a receipt. The wrong food got delivered to the table and the guy basically said he’s checked with the bar so it’s not his problem. Meals were also missing items when brought out. Disappointed that they didn’t try and rectify the problem. Probably won’t return again.

Hey, I came here to the White Swan Wetherspoons on 14/09/23 for breakfast with my girlfriend. I don't usually go to Wetherspoons to be honest as it is not my thing but my girlfriend said she comes here a lot and a lot of the staff know her as a regular on Saturday nights with her mates. Our fantastic breakfasts were cooked to perfection and the service was brilliant. We ordered at the bar with a manager called Sam who told us he hadn't been there long and he was new to the role but he talked us through the breakfast menu and made us feel really comfortable for the duration of our stay. We asked the name of another woman who was walking around and was working hard, Sam said her name was Rachel. She was fantastic, she answered all questions we had and again made us feel extremely comfortable. I will 100% be back with family or mates. Big shoutout to the chefs who were working as well, the food was out in no time and tasted delicious.

What an absolute hole of a place. Absolutely filthy, incredibly rude and even aggressive staff and food I wouldn't feed to the dog. Avoid at all costs.

Let's start by saying this is a Wetherspoons pub - so you know exactly what to expect in terms of food/drinks. Huge range of (very) cheap drinks, decent range of (very) cheap food (think all day breakfasts, burgers and so on). It's clean, tidy and well run, with hard working, friendly young staff - just don't expect anything other than what it is, not at the prices charged.

We went in for coffees,we couldn't believe how clean this place is to how it usually looks,the front Windows were gleaming,tables being cleared straight away.We noticed some Chinese workers and must say their always wiping down tables and fittings,they are a credit to the place.But we couldn't believe what we witnessed as young children were repeatedly using the Coffee machines on their own,they were only about 8or 9 years old.Then one went to the Bar with her Mothers credit card and paid for a drink,the Bar girl let her do it,this is breaking the law and an accident waiting to happen with hot drinks.

Our gourmet steak lunch was served without the mushrooms or chosen sauce. No explanation given initially, but once alerted, things moved along swiftly. Freya, our server, took ownership of the mistake and brought extra tomatoes and the sauces. The meals were delicious and extremely good value.

When we came for lunch, the restaurant was heavingly busy. They appeared to be seriously understaffed, however the young lady taking the orders was super-efficient and apologetic (unnecessary - not her fault). Imagining that there would be a long wait for the food, it arrived within 10 minutes, hot, nicely presented and very tasty. One of us had fish and chips - it was on of the best pieces of fish that we have ever had!

The whole place looked grubby and . Vacant tables left with empty glasses and dirty plates. The upholstery on the chairs was stained. Paintwork chipped and wall decoration doesn't look as though it hasn't been decorated for years. My first choice wasn't available (Fish and chips), the replacement, chicken burger was just not pleasant. Steak and kidney pudding lacked a main ingredient, kidney. Whilst it tasted of kidney only one piece found in the quite small pudding. Prior to Covid we regularly visited here for lunch and never had any issues. This was our first visit since March 2020. Sadly we will not be returning. Whilst I understand times are hard for hospitality this venue seems uncared for.

We were in Solihull for a long weekend, during which we met up with family on the Saturday afternoon. We popped into The White Swan on the Friday late afternoon after we arrived to find out whether we could book a table for the following day. Unfortunately this wasn't possible but instead we arrived slightly early so that we could try to get some tables together. This worked out exceedingly well as we timed it just as a large group were leaving! There were 11 adults and 2 children and the staff were very patient with us. Some of us were going to the bar to get our drinks, whilst the younger ones were ordering from the table on the App! However the staff were very friendly, helpful and still smiling! Some of our group ate and thoroughly enjoyed their pizzas. Thanks to the staff for making our family get-together so enjoyable - even though we might have been quite noisy.

I decided to look for a reasonably priced quick meal whilst waiting to do a pick up at nearby Birmingham Airport. I always thought Weatherspoons was a good choice. Big mistake with this one though. The place itself was a typical Weatherspoons so no issue there. The service however was dreadful from start to finish. I ordered my meal at the bar and the young man didn’t make eye contact or say please or thank you. The lady who brought my food out, simply plonked it on from of me and never said a word. When I’d finished the lady simply grunted “are you done with that?” Appalling service. Avoid like the plague.

This place was always the worst Wetherspoons but then it went through a period last year of being quite good. Sadly it has slipped back to being the worst again. Waiting times and availability of items are dire. Shame

Not sure what is happening here. Place looks really tired - sticky carpets, chairs that make you wonder if they are about to give way and a very very poor beer selection for real ale drinkers

We visited here today for lunch. Went inside because there was smoking everywhere outside, despite signs saying no smoking areas. Waited 20 minutes for our coffee cups before I went to the bar to get them myself, by which time the food had arrived so that was going cold while I sorted the drinks out. There were no mayo sachets or barbeque sauce bottles, as there have been at the other 2 branches we've been to in the last week. I asked a staff member and she said because of covid they weren't allowed to use bottles. In 2 other branches in the last week we've used barbeque sauce out of bottles, so it clearly isn't "because of covid". No control freakery here about the stupid track and trace stuff which was good, but they've transferred it to the sauce! Food ok. Not brilliant, not awful. Not as good as usual though.

Called into this place for a refreshment stop on the way back south. A good choice in this lovely town. Lots of room for social distancing and good service. Recommend.

Well, lovely, laid back, enjoyable visit. Everyone wore masks until seated, tables clean. Had BLT sandwich with salad, really, really nice, loads of bacon, mayo, just how I like it. Staff very attentive. Been here loads of times and same great service today.

Would give 0 stars if I could! The “manager” Andrew was so rude! We ordered food and drinks (no ID was asked for at the bar) when they brought the drinks over they asked for everyone’s ID (although I was drinking soft drinks and driving) you can clearly see we are not children...As one of us didn’t have ID they took all alcoholic drinks & refused to serve us or refund us for the drinks. Saying that we shouldn’t have ordered without ID. THEY DIDN'T EVEN LET US SWAP FOR SOFT DRINKS. When we my friends ID dropped to us they still refused to serve us alcohol because the manager was clearly embarrassed that he was such an idiot! THANKS for nothing will definitely not be spending any more money in your rubbish spoons.

Booked Turtle bay but after we’d apparently double booked ended up in the White Swan. The menu looked really good but the food unfortunately did not live up to expectations. Poor sized portions burnt pizza cold food seemed to be a trait of the eat out to help out scheme. Such a shame as this could have been so much better had they bothered to take the time to cook and serve it up properly.

We visited here today for lunch. Woman on door demanded contact details - this is absolutely voluntary and she's not entitled to demand anything. There was no tomato sauce, no hp, no vinegar. I asked a man for vinegar and he said they had none. I asked someone else and he ignored me completely. I then asked the woman on the door and vinegar appeared in a little dish. So they did have vinegar. My burger didn't have the sauce on stated on the menu so when the man brought the vinegar I asked him for it. Again, he ignored me completely and never reappeared. The cups for our coffees took 20 minutes to arrive at our table. No chocolate for the cappuccino. All in all, very disappointing.

I went to The White Swan yesterday and couldn't believe no one was wearing masks. I was expecting to wear my mask when i entered the pub until i reached a clear table to sit with my sister's who are in my bubble.No one in the pub was wearing masks, there was a form to complete for track and trace.You still qued at the bar to order food and purchase drinks. Customers in the pub was walking past one another, again no masks. Possibly carrying the virus. A group of people left a table opposite there was no deep cleaning, a Member of staff just wiped the table, isn't that what they was during before the coronavirus. Customers walking passed each other as they Walker up and down the staires to go to the toilets. I don't think i will rush to go back. I can understand if there is another Lock down as the rules are still not being followed.VERY CONCERNING.

Visited 5pm on wednesday15th July No ruddles available. Ordered doom bar instead at 50p more. Ordered 2nd pint of doom bar at table and told run out. I asked for refund and told it has gone back on my card and will take 4 days. I asked for my refund now but was told by a young deputy manager who had no customer service skills that I would have to wait. I asked for his name and he refused I will never step foot in a spoons again. Came in last night, was a bit busy due to cheltnum but the staff were on point. Highlights for me were the young man and woman who both had glasses, both were very cheerful on the bar

Good to see the replacement sign, front of premises - no Smoking. Still issues with some persons smoking at the entrance door but good to see members of staff dealing.Would it not hep if the front barrier / planters were placed to include the entrance in the no smoking area - may prevent much stress for the staff and clearly shows customers that the whole entrance and front is no for smoking. Move barriers between White Swan and restaurant next door - left of entrance.

The taller bouncer is disgustingly rude and very hostile! It’s a great pub I feel like he is over powering and generally very rude

Didn’t cost much at all but the food also wasn’t very good at all. Drinks was good and cheap but you get that at the other pubs around aswell.

On average I meet here every other week on a Friday lunchtime for a drink (or two) with friends as the drinks prices are very good.(Pint Hop House 13 £2.95, Pint Kronenbourg 1664 £2.95, Lrg Henderick's Gin and Tonic £4.35, Bottle Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc £14.10 (excellent value) Pint Sharp's Doom Bar £1.99). I have also eaten the Tuesday Steak Club (£7.79 8oz Sirloin inc drink, mine a pint 1664) here and at other "Spoons" around the country and have always found it enjoyable (have asked a couple of times to exchange either for the steak cooked medium or not tender and they have exchanged immediately with no problem). The establishment can be very busy sometimes on a Friday due to the Fish Friday Special (£7.75 inc drink) hence slightly longer to be served at the bar and sometimes finding a table and chairs.

Busy, but food arrives promptly. Drinks machine ran out but was quickly refilled. Toilets are only up one flight of stairs. Typical Wetherspoons food.

We have been coming in here for years, with a joke, smile and a cracking pint he’s the best barman in town! - Julian you deserve a gold star from us the rabble of Solihull! Pull yourself one this Christmas! Ho Ho Ho! (ICE is always available)

I usually avoid any Wetherspoons but were with friends who suggested we visit this place so gave it the benefit of the doubt.

Had breakfast here on Sunday morning it was just the job and hit the spot. A bacon butty with a coffee and a traditional breakfast and a cup of tea for less than £9 Service and staff very good. Would defo recommend..

This Spoons used to be good, but it has gone downhill to the point that we won’t bother again.

First of all the staff are excellent, very friendly and efficient, plus they even put the football on. Because of this we skipped the planned curry, and the food was fine.

Party of 10 in for a late breakfast on a bank holiday weekend. Service was good and food was made & served quickly and as always the food was very reasonably priced... You can’t go wrong with a ‘spoons!!

Came here for a late breakfast when visiting the nearby Land Rover factory. Not particularly appealing from the outside, situated in a 1960's terrace of shops and quite a tired atmosphere inside. Food pretty much the same as any other Wetherspoons - cheap and of reasonably quality. The service was average at best - after our food was delivered, we had to go back to the bar to ask for butter for our toast - this was eventually provided although rather begrudgingly.

Popped in for a quick drink with my partner. Ordered drinks and my partner wanted a mini brownie. We advised staff we were sitting outside upon ordering. When we went outside I popped back in and gave a table number to the same member of staff.

The weather outside reflected the experience inside – a reasonable busy Saturday early eveing four of us popped in for a meal. Placing the order and drinks were okay, food arrived in around 15 minutes but the quality was shocking. The only dish anywhere decent was – burger and chips, the other three were poor – pizza undercooked, fish and chips (full meal) was half a potion, the fish looked like it had been run over (not a Place) and the meal microwaved, just like the gammon, egg and chips. I would not rush back.

Extremely reasonable prices in pleasant surroundings, small beer garden out the back. One of the crew tried the solids chosing an Indian combo that he said "hit a spot" whic I think stands for a brummy Michelin star

Saturday evening 13th July and we visited here for a drink, we found a table that was free, had been cleared, which was near the bar.

Me and husband had fish n chips special was lovely nice friendly pub staff pleasant and helpful we liked atmosphere and good prices made for a nice night

I love this place.. staff are lovely and welcoming to the point where most are now classed as friends. I always choose spoons as my meeting point with friends.. the draught beers and ciders are the best tasting and value in Solihull. Ben the manager goes above and beyond to keep everyone happy and the pub clean and tidy with speedy service. All the staff deserve praise for their welcoming manner..this place is what pubs should be like! Will continue using the swan as my regular watering hole!

Visited on Sunday 28th April for breakfast ordered 2 x large breakfasts with black pudding, told no black pudding, fair enough not a problem, paid, sat down. Food arrived after a reasonable wait time. Plates put in front of us, no toast - no bread and toaster now working anyway and hash browns - ran out, tomatoes looked like someone had tried cremating them. When I asked the server if we were going to receive a refund he said no as we were told this at time of ordering, we hadn't been told this at all. He did say we could have an other tomato I declined the over to save them getting the flame thrower out again. Very disappointing service.

My 92 year old Mom and I popped into The White Swan for lunch. Mom likes Wetherpoons and we have been to The Pump House in Shirley and the branch in Pwllheli in North Wales often........both excellent.

They reserved tables for my party which was great.Service at bar was slow and my 5 bean chilli was small and dry and the rice over microwaved..£6.40 for this was very overpriced. Stayed for 7hrs and the pub became very busy by 8pm. I had a brilliant night and thanks to manager for reserving my table but I have to be honest when i say the food quality was poor in my experience and more bar staff were needed early evening.

Whetherspoons are usually a lot better than this and when I complained they changed the salad but no hint of an apology.

came in with friends after a long day at uni, my vegetarian friend ellen ordered the “halloumi wrap”, when it arrived and after having taken a bite she soon realised it wasn’t halloumi, rather it was chicken, the two look very similar resulting in her mistaking the food, after being vegetarian for over 12 my friend was extremely upset and annoyed with the service as this is unacceptable. my friend was offered no sublipment nor an apology.

Noticed that the front no smoking sign has gone. Tables still show no smoking signs but no ne seems to take any notice. To rear of premises there is a smoking area. Confusion as to what will happen when summer arrives and front large door / windows are open if smoking at front - this will draft into premises and around where customers eat.

Was horrified after ordering drinks and after 15 minutes they hadn’t arrived. We could see the manager stood at the side of the bar doing nothing and as I approached her to chase the drinks she huffed at her colleague ‘oh they are coming to complain now’ the reason for the drinks being delayed was because ‘the guy cannot count’ rather than helping him get the drinks out within service times she just stood there. I am actually appalled!

I ordered a burger and waited an hour ridiculous just for a burger hopefully next time it won't take as long

Visited this Wetherspoons on a busy Sunday morning but was quickly served and didn't wait too long for our food. The waitress was friendly and was a good atmosphere inside.

Surrounded by other bars this was very busy while the others were half full.

Wife and I visited while on a visit to Touchwood, we both had the Steak and Kidney pie, the food arrived in good time, hot and everything we expected. The only down side was the gents toilet which has urgent maintenance issues, otherwise all good.

Part of the Weatherspoons range which delivers great value. Have to say I’m not a regular visitor and the bars can look a bit tired but considering the large group of us for lunch they delivered a wide range of meals quickly, and having a large mixed grill and a beer for less than a tenner was brilliant value. The various meat cuts were tender and tasty
