The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

THERE WERE 4 TABLES OCCUPIED IN THE RESTUARANT... WE ARRIVED AT 1.30 AND LEFT AT 4.00 wasted our bank holiday! JUST DO NOT ENTER... It is so deceiving: from the outside with the benches it looks like a nice cottage BUT... as soon as you enter there are two rooms... you have to help yourself to a menu and a table. Then we ordered 4 meals WHICH DID NOT COME WITH FRIES OR CHIPS, then we waited 1hr 45mins for the food OMG, THEY FORGOT so they took anougther 30min until they finally arrived. It was grousome; no chicken wings which is the main reason I ordered food, apparently it was freshly home made IT WAS FROZON FOOD FROM THE SUPERMARKET... IT WAS... AND THERE ISN'T ANY BACK CHAT ABOUT IT BEING FRESH. It was BABY SIZE, YOU COULDNT GET SCAMMED THAT MUCH FOR SUCH A SMALL PORTION NO REFUNDS FOR ANY THING

Popped in to the bulls head with my 15 year old twins after school I can honestly say one of the best meals we have all had for a long time . Steaks were cooked perfectly even my 15 year olds were praising the food Well done to whoever was looking after the kitchen will definitely come again.

A wonderful find. We had a friendly greeting and were seated straight away even though we didn’t have a reservation. The decor is very nice and interesting. The menu is vast and also Indian served although it started from 2pm on a Saturday so we missed out on. We opted for the gammon and chicken sizzler. Both were cooked very well and tasted amazing. They are large portions. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only small thing the toilets were looking a little tired and could do with a refresh. Will definitely visit again.

Wow, all I can say is this pub is very expensive. £14.40 for a not very nice glass of wine and a real ale. Pubs close by offer better value for money. I wouldn't use again. Go elsewhere

Came yesterday for a lovely Sunday carvery, and was blown away by how tasty the food was and how friendly the staff were to all customers. Special thanks to chefs Rob and Leo for catering to my needs. Will certainly be back!

Here for football, was driving so not drinking which, wasn't such a bad thing as no real ales. Food was pretty basic but, there were going to beer lots of footie fans coming in. Great location on the canal.

Good booze. Nice place apart from Maya getting very drunk in the back area and repeatedly misgendering me. Not pleasant when you've got former staff acting abusive towards customers.

Stopped here for lunch whilst out on a "Date Day" Great food, friendly and attentive staff and the chef is a top guy! We last ate here 35 years ago when it was Rumours....won't leave it as long to revisit! The tribute nights sound fab and we will defo give them a whirl!

My wife and I ate at The Pigot 3 weeks ago and we each had a Sunday roast. Very tasty, nicely cooked and reasonably priced. We decided to book for a family meal last Sunday and it turned out to be the first carvery to be served. Had a choice of meats and plenty of veg. All properly cooked and very tasty. Again, very reasonably priced. Will definitely return!

Lovely surroundings, very attentive, helpful and pleasant staff. As always excellent food with a very good adequate choice and service. If we as a party had to find a fault with anything it would be for several of our party the meal was too big. Maybe a pensioners portion. I had no problem eating mine 🤣

Lovely atmosphere, friendly accommodating staff. Good to die for, you won’t go far wrong, stopping by at this lovely pub.

A real gem. Pub restaurant was beautifully clean with decor to match. From the moment our party of 4 arrived the staff were attentive and left nothing to chance. Service impeccable, portion sizes excellent and food delicious. All very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.
