Found this lovely pub yesterday, so friendly , considering we didn’t book we got a table in the lovely dining area, staff very polite and attentive , we had a gorgeous Sunday roast , very relaxing, highly recommend Lovely area too

Wow! What a fantastic venue. Went with family and friends who live in Market Drayton and who recommended you. Recommendation was spot on! Everything about the Hinds Head was superb, and as for the food...what can I say but totally exceptional on every level. Definitely will be back. As a community pub you should be so proud of what you have achieved.

Went here for Sunday lunch with my little boy and his grandad. Food is absolutely spot on, can’t fault a thing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble and lots of smiles. A beautiful pub, run by beautiful people serving beautiful food - what’s not to like!

Sunday lunch, at the The Hinds Head, the staff were certainly on the ball ,again an experience to remember,lovely food ,lovely staff,lovely ambiance.

I was recommended this place for lunch and I’m glad we went. Fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere and the staff were brilliant. We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend.

Our second time at this lovely place. A warm and friendly welcome the atmosphere was perfect and plenty space between tables. An excellent menu, locally sourced ingredients all beautifully cooked and presented by friendly and professional staff. A good choice catering for varied diets and very reasonably priced. Never hurried a really relaxing and very enjoyable visit. Free car park good Wi-Fi. Recommended we will be back.

Dec 10.We booked Sunday lunch for two,the dining room was nice and warm, the food was excellent, and the service was just as good, and the staff still made time to speak, even though they were very busy.

Popped in for a spot of lunch on Friday after hearing great reviews. Definitely worth a drive out. We had the turkey schnitzel, a great twist on an old classic. Service was brilliant, great beer and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful asset to this delightful village. Visited today fot Sunday lunch with family. The roast dinners are freshly prepared and piping hot. Lovely selection of fresh vegetables which have not been sitting under a warming light to get dried up. Christmas pudding and custard was very yummy - no wonder they had almost ran out of them. Friendly and welcoming staff. What a gem of a place well done.

Lovely surroundings in a quiet country village with delightful ambience. Excellent choice of home made meals with generous portions and served hot! (I’m regularly disappointed with tepid served meals) Delightful and attentive staff. A gem in our area.

This is the third time we have been for dinner as a family and each team the food has been wonderful, the atmosphere relaxed and service extremely professional. This is certainly our favourite place for an evening meal in the local area. We have different meals each time and have always been delighted with the selection and taste. Having recently moved to the area we are keen to flag this restaurant to anyone who hasn’t tried it.

Such a hidden gem absolutely beautiful we loved it here on arrival greeted by the friendly bar staff and the lovely Jo who looked after us all evening no went above and beyond for us all from getting me a clean knife as I dropped it of our table by accident Jo was straight on it sorting it out called me by my name too which was lovely very personalised service .my family loved the service and food everything was 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Jo even recommended a fan for me as going through menopause what restaurants do this just amazing.Definitely be returning very soon Thank you Michelle and family .

Sunday lunch here was good , Jo was a good host.plates were nice and hot.turkey beautiful,could have just had a bit more veg,but not a criticism, because we could have asked for more.

First time here with family and definately coming back. The food was stunning, the service friendly and attentive without being overly so, drinks nice, location and atmosphere superb. When you find a little gem like The Hinds Head you just want to bring friends here too.

We're from london and this was way better than what we get there. Friendly pub. The hake was spectacular and the staff were amazing. Atmosphere was great. Highly reccomend will definitely be back.

Visited last Saturday for a meal with family who live in the village. The meals were excellent and freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff were welcoming and the service was excellent. The new chef is really producing high standard meals. It was good to see the establishment so busy at 5pm on a Saturday and would think it always best to book. Would highly recommend a visit. Well done to all the team.

Have not been to the HH for a long time, surroundings, staff and meals excellent. Don’t normally have pizza other than in Italian restaurants but decided to see what HH pizza was like. Really well cooked, really big, very tasty. I would recommend trying one.

Stephanie is an absolute asset to your establishment with multiple allergies and intolerances Stephanie led us through the menu and let us know everything we needed to know to make a clear decision. As our first time here the menu didn’t make it clear but Stephanie really went out of her way to clear everything. Really impressed! :)

I visited on Sunday with my family, however there was nothing on the menu which I could eat. I discussed with a staff member my dietary requirements and we created a meal which was suitable. My main was really good and was very impressed with the 2 options of dessert. Overall very happy with the food and the staff. They followed the distancing guidelines too, which was nice as we felt safe.

We have eaten here on several occasions, this being our second Sunday lunch. Arrived on spec and were accommodated after only a very short wait. The food is freshly prepared, so expect to wait for it, but this also means you don't feel rushed. There are the usual traditional dishes but also some more imaginative ones and vegetarians are well catered for. We have enjoyed every meal we have had here and so have our accompanying guests. The atmosphere in both the pub and restaurant areas is lovely even at quiet times.

Excellent venue & meal very generous portions and delicious. Nice atmosphere and helpful staff. Some unusual dishes available but not to the detriment of the pub.

We decided to have a short notice evening out. Having been here a couple of times before. The food just gets better each time. The 5 of us left very very content. It was quiet, but that’s off the beaten track on a Thursday evening for you.

We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday at the Hinds Head, Norton in Hales near Market Drayton, Shropshire. We had a super evening and the food was great. Service was excellent and we were not rushed to eat and move on. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

Really great food, great for a burger and steak or something a bit nicer. Took the family and they always comment on how nice it was. Will be back.

Great Sunday lunch, again, this was our third visit, once again not disappointed, fantastic food at a reasonable cost, especially for the quality.

We thought we would give this pub another outing....we should not have bothered ...over the years the decline has been significant ...I remember when we first moved into the area The Hinds Head was second to none...Sunday lunch ...folks would be queuing at opening time in the car park waiting for it to open... just so they could get a seat...the food was basic, well cooked and hearty ..the atmosphere and decor was brilliant..with wonderful open fires roaring ...just what is needed ...not the closed in guard around fireplace we found when we visited last week...the steak served on ciabatta was tough and grisly ...the chips which were presented in a tin cone were tasteless..... the 'over the top' dressing in my opinion on the salad was just awful ...waited a while for someone to appear and serve at the bar ...the restaurant was completely empty .... with only a handful of customers in the bar area .....Come on Hinds Head ...you have the ideal location and ideal British pub...warm the place up, create better warmer lighting, smaller tables with comfy seats in the bar area ...who wants to sit perched up on those tall wooden chairs and for goodness sake bring in cheery professional staff ...You used to be so brilliant

Having heard many good reviews we thought we'd try an evening meal We ordered our food and were very pleased with the service and the standard of foodThe pub is very tastefully decorated and is spotlessly cleanVery polite and friendly staff members we will definitely be returning

As a frequent visitor this place never lets you down with excellent food, friendly service and good array of drinks. The Hinds head is always trying new ideas such as fusion burgers and now stone baked pizzas - there is something for all types of foodies and will not be let down.

Eat here Saturday night 12th October, my wife had Hake which was rubbery and my T bone was supposed to be medium but was more like well done This was not the main problem though, the 2 younger members of staff were pleasant enough but the older female member had obviously failed charm school and was verging on rude We had to ask for drinks when our glasses had been empty fo about 10 minutes or more and for £80 for2 of us we would expect a smile

this was our first visit and it wont be our last.we booked on a sunday evening very clean and well organised the atmosphere very relaxed and comfortable,service was very efficient,food excellent I had steak and my wife had the meat pie both delicious.

My Family and I came for Sunday Lunch today and had the most beautiful food and drink.

Today myself and my family went for my nieces birthday, we had pre ordered the mains days before, the mains came and they were lovely, we then went on to order deserts this was a different issue, as you can see from the 2 different menus attached the lunch menu states nothing and but allergies on the evening menu is different, my nephew has a serious peanut allergy, we all ordered desert from the lunch time menu given to us as a party of 10, 4 of us ordered treacle tart as you can see from the menu it’s straight forward and gave us no reason for concern when it came it had peanut brittle on it, had it of stated that on the menu then we would never have ordered it I think this is an issue they need to clear up as allergies are so popular now and need to be catered for so careful and with warning!

I’ve eaten here numerous times with my family and always find the food and service excellent. Well thought out menus and some interesting changes and new dishes. One of my favourite places and it feels like a proper pub.

First time visiting here after a recommendation.

We shared Mozzarella fries and duck pancakes to start from the tapas menu. Followed up with a flat iron steak, sea bass salad nicoise and a burger. Really Impressed with the quality of produce and range of flavours - a rare combination of exquisite taste and value for money.

Me and my partner visited the pub a month and a bit ago. When we first walked in there was nobody to greet us and nobody on the bar for five or so minutes. There were a few locals sat at the bar, seemingly unhelpful and unwilling to grab somebody for us, which gave us the impression nobody was around at all. After finally being acknowledged, we were seated in an empty restaurant. First impressions were not great at all, but thankfully it was all uphill from here.

In a beautiful setting with a lovely garden. Drinks were inexpensive with different craft ales. We had the Sunday lunch menu. I had the salmon and it was beautifully cooked. Lots of lovely vegetables on the table. Everything was piping hot and only £11.50. Highly recommend.

My wife and i nipped in one Saturday in mid June 2019 for a quick pint and we ended up having a quick lunch which was excellent.

This was the stomping grounds of my husband when he was a young lad in his 20s. He and his friends enjoyed many an evening of carousing, drinking, and eating at this establishment. Because we were visiting the area he connected with old friends and continued their camaraderie at this bar and restaurant. As in old times (LOL) He ordered the steak and ale pie, asparagus, and chips. Other friends ordered the salmon, duck, steak, a vegetarian dish and SEVERAL bottles of wine. The service was excellent and the food delicious. Much reminiscing was done over the tasty food and adult beverages. We almost felt like we were back in our 20s! Parking was easy and adjacent.

We've been to the Hinds Head a number of times now (various days and times) and have never been disappointed. There is a pleasant atmosphere, the staff are friendly and if you are lucky enough to get a table by the open fire it's all very cosy indeed. Once more the food was very good and portions were large. Even although we are blessed with big appetites, we have yet to manage all three courses at the Hinds Head, which is actually a good thing as it always gives us an excuse to go back and sample what we didn't manage first time round :)

I went with friends recently , I had heard that the food was good , which it was . I had the chicken dish which was lovely , my friend had the Sea bass which was very good . Well worth the money , however nearly £18 for a bottle of wine which doubled the bill at the end was perhaps a bit much . Would recommend to friends and will go again .

So we were on the way to Whitchurch and needed to grab some supper en route. This little spot looked good on Tripadvisor so we dropped in!

Very good friends came to see us, as we have just moved to the area, so was looking for a nice country pub, that did food, thought we would try the Hinds Head, what a little gem this is, excellent food, varied menu, great friendly service and great value for the quality, can’t wait to visit again.

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime with family, around 8 of us. We asked to switch tables to the conservatory area and the wait staff very kindly set another table up for us.

we have never been let down with the food good varied menu including vegetarian always well presented sometimes service is a little slow but as everything is freshly cooked it is only to be expected slightly expensive for 'pub grub' but never disappointing

Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere, good service, what’s not to like? Also dog friendly! I can highly recommend the vegetarian nut roast with all the trimmings.

Attended with family and first time visit on recommendation. Nice interior and clean and food menu good and food tasty. However for the price the portion of vegetables between 4 people as shown in the photo was very small and not enough for for people. 3 florets For broccoli, 3 Juliet’s of carrot and parsnip. Tasty but not enough and one of the family went without so the others could have some.

We visited on 15/02/2019 the pub was very busy yet the staff still went above and beyond ensuring everything was ok with our table. Toilets cleanliness was outstanding too. Nothing was too much to ask. Fantastic Tomahawk steak!! We will be back ❤️

Had Sunday lunch for 10 people today. Great meal, service a bit slow but other large group there at the same time. Quality of food as good as ever. Will definately continue to visit.

Went to The Hind's Head, for the first time, on Friday 25th January 2019, with 3 others. The initial impression and greeting from the bar staff/owner was rather disinterested. We ordered drinks, informed them that we had booked and had to find ourselves a table before being asked to move to the dining room. However, throughout the evening we could fault nothing, all the staff were adequately attentive, helpful and polite and always with a smile on their faces and a pleasant demeanour. The food was amazing, reasonably priced, and one of the best meals that I have eaten for a long time. The pub had a bright and comforting feel, and the bathroom (Ladies) was clean and well stocked with added extras such as face cloths. We would highly recommend, and we will be returning.

Went for tea Friday night,very good quality food.The place was very busy and we hadn't booked in advance,so wasn't sure we would get a table,we actually got a good table.We were first served by a pleasant young waitress,then served by another young waitress,then served by a lady called Sue (trip advisor) we have been served on previous occasions by her a very pleasant,efficient nice lady.Would recommend the Hinds Head reasonably priced and good quality.Cheers

We have visited this place on numerous occasions, and the food has been good on all our visits whether it be the Tuesday steaknight, or any other night we have tried including weekends. Good atmosphere craft beers, good food, and a very nice N,Z Sav. Blanc. The Tuesday night steaknight seems very popular as the same faces seem to appear, and no wonder 2 steaks with the trimmings off the menu, and a bottle of house wine for £25.95. Just one thing, the lady who has usually taken our orders is so helpful and efficient, but sometimes if you need a sweet or coffee you have to catch a waitress' attention, or they forget to come back, but this is only a minor glitch. Overall this place is well worth travelling to, please get Oracle back.

Visited Sun 16/9. Lovely meal. Didn’t wait too long on food. Veggie option pie delicious. Slightly disappointing that a few things on menu unavailable but ultimately didn’t detract from enjoyment of meal. Friendly service. Good beer

We celebrated a family event here and the food was average but the service wasn’t great at all. No one asked if we wanted sauces; no one asked if our meal was ok and the staff appeared disinterested. Such a shame because the location and environment are perfect & I believe it’s community owned. Massive potential to make this an outstanding place!

My brother and I had a catch up and decided to grab a steak due to the Tuesday special being £26 for two mains and a bottle of red wine!

Food nice but pricey. Would like to have rated higher but we waited so long for our order to be taken and then another long wait for our meals we were completely 'fed up' and were discussing if we should just leave.

Eight of us ate here on a Saturday evening. We had a lovely time. The food was delicious; I can wholeheartedly recommend the lamb wellington for the main. Service was excellent: efficient and friendly. We do eat here regularly and look forward to returning soon. Excellent!

Me and my boyfriend travel from Stoke to eat here for our date nights. We are never disappointed. The food is amazing. They were very busy one time and so there was a long wait but the food more than made up for it and we were given a complimentary glass of wine each to apologise.

We love this pub always great service and great food. Nice quiet village location and lovely staff. Great steaks and pies. They always go that little bit further to ensure you are happy.

Have been here before and had an outstanding meal however I visited again and was a little disappointed, Fried hallumi was good, as was garlic bread but burger was dry, pie pastry too crispy, gravy tasteless and gloopy, at £125 for 4 I really expect better, perhaps we should have all had a steak, other visitors seemed to like theirs, service was however outstanding, I didn’t have the heart to complain to the very nice waitress.

Met up with friends as the pub is about halfway between us.

Have not been for a while but visited today with both sets of parents. We certainly were not disappointed. The Sunday lunches are just as good as ever. Very good quality food and variety. Will go back to try grill night.

We have visited the Hinds Head twice recently - once for my birthday and then again as it was my daughter’s first choice for her 7th birthday tea.

Hinds head is a lovely country pub with a rather modern interior. Every time we have been, we have not been disappointed. The food is always lovely, and there’s always great service. On Sunday evening, we ordered 2 sirloin steaks as we were aware of the hinds heads reputation for great steaks and we weren’t let down. The steaks were lovely and cooked to perfection. The homemade onion rings were lightly battered and weren’t greasy at all. The Stilton sauce was really nice. The steak & ale pies are also to die for, especially with a slice of Stilton/Shropshire blue cheese on top! The presentation of the food is always consistent and professional. I would definitely recommend the Hinds Head to anyone looking for great quality food.

What a find! From the second we arrived we were made to fell very welcome by the staff in this attractive, spotlessly clean pub.

We had a drive out to Norton for something to eat, not realising it was Tuesday Grill Night! We managed to get a table and chose our food from the Grill night menu which was great value at £26 for two meals including a bottle of wine. The food was excellent - I chose the baguette and my wife had the Angus burger. Both were very good and the service was first class. The wine from the house list on offer was a Spanish Tempranillo and just fantastic for the deal.

Food OK, service OK dining room quite nice. Acceptable but not exciting. Nice village location with plenty of parking

We went with friends for the steak night 2 steaks and bottle of wine offer. What a great night we had. They had a good range of real ales at fair prices as well as a good range of Wine. The service was first class/and our order taken in quick time.The food came and was very very good. Thank you Hinds Head team we will be back soon.

This has to be one of the best variety and value for money steak nights I have ever been to. Very efficient and friendly staff, amazing tasting food, and the number of unusual cuts of steak made this a very enjoyable night.

We had a meal here last month and both really enjoyed it. The staff were really attentive and professional and you could tell that they enjoyed their job. Our food was hot and tasty. The eating area was comfortable and relaxing and we would visit again. In fact we will be visiting again as we plan to take some friends of ours for a meal here.

A good meal is always to be had at the Hinds. Good quality food, and their mid-week specials are worth checking out. I wish they would light the fire in the winter though and have a bar area with the TV on, this used to happen, not sure why it no longer appears to.

1st time dining, our expectations were high.

Let me begin by saying the staff were very pleasant and helpful but everything else could easily be improved to make the overall experience so much better. It was a cold night and in the room on the left as you enter there is a lovely log burner, it was not lit, the temperature of the whole place was not welcoming. On the bar were 6 beer engines but only 2 in operation, the beer choice was limited but the one I had was well kept. The night we went was steak night, the steaks were tough. this pub is well presented in a nice location it would not take a lot to make the whole package first class, in my view it obviously lacked good management, it is such a shame.

The service was poor tonight. Drinks forgotten, food cold and we ended up taking the bill up to bar as no one came to get it after 20 minutes. It wasn’t particularly busy.

Table of four and the service was so so slow . Freezing outside so asked for Irish Coffee ....mistake number 1 , what came back was a normal instant coffe with whiskey , not a good start . In fairness steaks were great but wine list run of the mill yet overpriced .

Came here for double family birthday and were thoroughly pleased with the service and inventive, nicely-cooked food too. I had the pork belly which I can highly recommend! You won’t need a starter (especially as you get a scotch egg on top!!)

weekend late afternoon meal, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the hinds head. the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the food was nice, slow on coming out.

This is the second time we have eaten here , a party of 20 adults, the food was very good but we felt the enjoyment of the meal was spoiled by the slow and disjointed service . More staff serving on a Saturday night would be beneficial,

First time at this establishment and came away very impressed, had a family meal and could not pick fault with any of the starters, mains or desserts that we ordered on this occasion. 1 course for £11, 2 courses for £15 and 3 courses for £19, were available. Noticed a grill night on a Tuesday advertised, 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £25. Many beers and lagers on offer as well as the usual Aspalls cider and Guinness. Portion sizes were more than adequate, even for those of us with a larger appetite.

Having had several good meals here we booked for lunch. OK - they are having building work done, so there was a bit of noise - but with no apology / acknowledgement from the staff. The food was certainly not up to normal standards - chips sent back as stone cold and the batter on the fish was very poor. It was all just very average - we certainly will not rush back for lunch, but hopefully when the building work is finished we might try again in the evening.

I visit here regularly and the food and service is always good. An extensive range of steaks and puddings, it's always a pleasure to revisit

Visited again after some time, & so glad we did! Superb food, well presented & delicious. The gammon was A1, accompanied by egg, mushroom, tomato, onion rings, peas & beatiful chips. Service friendly & helpful. Although extension building work taking place, this was not intrusive. Prices reasonable for quality food & a good range to choose from. Definitely add to our "go to" list!

We had a large party of 12 for a special occasion including 6 children , I have to say the meals were superb , the children's burgers were clearly home made as was the steak pie, the garlic mushrooms and duck pancake starters were absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit

Wow! This is the second time we have eaten here and came back within a month as the food was that good and there were items on the menu we wanted to try (always a good sign!)

On this visit the pub was not full as it usualy is so service was as normal excellent with a wid choic efrom the lunch time menu.

Used the Hinds Head as a half way house to meet up with friends today.What a good choice - great food (gammon, fish and sausages) all enjoyed with lovely staff in attendence.Nice pint of Butty Bach as well.Definitely recommended.

WE went out with friends on a tuesday evening with friend Steak Night!! It was first class with good range of real ales and choice of steaks.Very good service.

Nice to stop at an independent pub serving good ales and very good lunchtime food. We had ciabatta and wraps with salad and chips. Service was friendly and efficient. We will come back.
