Another old world quaint pub :) I loved it...of course we were early so couldn't get anything to eat

Came here for my dad’s birthday, come here every week. Polite staff, amazing service and atmosphere tops it. Pizza brought out for 16 of us no issues at all. Bar staff polite and handled 16 customers really well. Highly recommend this pub as I worked here previously. We come regular for birthdays and wedding anniversaries, no issues at all, if anything they go out their way to help us

Delicious Sunday lunch, excellent portion and a fantastic selection of veg. Highly recommended. Worth booking as it was veey busy.

A pleasant enough pub. A number of walkers seem to use the car park leaving their cars and then return for lunch. There is a bar area and a separate dining room for parties and a raised dining area. The meal was soon served and the waitress was very pleasant. My friend and I both ordered coffee after our meal but were informed that the coffee machine was out of order but we could have instant coffee. This we accepted, but there was no discount from the fresh ground coffee normally available.

My local, so quite pertinent. Great pub, beer, food, and people. Why not 5/5? Well, sometimes they close early - well, if the pub is empty, ok! The food is fresh, so sometimes a wait, book then! We can't afford to lose our pubs, support them and their staff.

Great country pub with friendly staff and good selection of food at reasonable prices

Been here a number of times. Bar is relaxing and welcoming for drinks evenings and weekends. Then had food a few times too, both Sunday dinner which was great and off the menu and it’s always been decent pub food.

As nice a country pub, tucked away, as you could ask for. Can't remember if they have a real fire though...

Usually have a really nice time here but felt extremely unwelcome today. Was told that I couldn't order food because they were too busy because of a table reservation who hadn't even arrived yet, all my friends and I wanted was a panini. Woman behind the bar was rude, rolled her eyes and sighed whenever someone tried to order food.

We waited 1 hour 25 minutes for a meal to appear only ordered gammon steak and seabass Gammon was ordered without mushrooms and tomatoes but when it came out it had mushrooms and tomatoes I mentioned to the server to be told well im a little busy So i asked for a plate so i could take them off myself , lucky i didnt have a allergy The seabass wasnt as menu stated Said it was served with balsamic cherry tomatoes and crushed potatoes Came out with half sliced potatoes and no tomatoes or balsamic But lots of broccoli and cauliflower My husband was disappointed as he doesn’t teally eat veg , so probably wouldn’t of ordered it

We were staying locally and the masons arms was recommended. Meal for three with very attentive staff who paid attention to detail. Waitress remembered who had ordered what without having to ask which was very nice. Food lovely. Prices about normal. Highly recommended and would definitely return if in the area again.

It has the feel of a proper country pub but on the fringe of Telford. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, there is an excellent selection of ales with the usual lagers, ciders, plus the wine's and spirits. I can't really comment on the food other than the fact that not only did it smell amazing if it tasted as good as it looked, then there'd be no complaint, and on this point a table was booked in advanced for a future event. Being dog friendly for well-behaved dogs along with a beer garden with a view of the neighbouring countryside plus sky sports if this is of interest rounds off an excellent visit. I would definitely recommend it in a heartbeat if you live within a resonable distance or if you fancy something different from a typical everyday run of the mill town pub.

We have just had Sunday lunch, it was the very best , we have had in along, was able to get small meal for my husband, with no questions asked,,so very helpful, and two very nice gentleman helped me with wheelchair, so we could enjoy a drink, outside, thanks so much, we will definitely be back again Pam Adams

We visited the Mason Arms for a family meal and what a lovely welcoming place it was with a great atmosphere and pleasant and attentive staff. This was our first visit for about 10 years and as soon as we arrived we knew that it was going to be a lovely experience. We ordered our drinks at the bar and then was told which table we were at, and although we’re not taken to the table, due to the ambiance it was acceptable as we were asked if we like table service or to order at the bar and we chose table service. We ordered our food and Tristan the waiter took our order very efficiently and explained what was available on the menu. Once the food arrived it was very impressive and very well presented. I had the steak which was cooked just as I liked it, medium rare and all the other meals served were wonderful as we all discussed how great they were. The staff were very attentive throughout and asked how the food was and we all loved the fact that after we had finished and although we did not want dessert as we did not have room we were left to chill and relax and were not rushed out of the restaurant. I would highly recommend the Mason Arms and we will most definitely be visiting again in the near future. I would like to say that Tristian the waiter is a credit to the business with his friendly and professional attitude made us feel very welcome.

Went to masons arms on Saturday 1st June not disappointed at all one of us had liver lunch other scampi food was divine you pay more than a regular pub grub but definitely worth it Will visit again soon.

Lovely lunch here. Food was brilliant and pub was a lovely country pub, nicely situated after a long walk. Brilliant that the bar part is dog friendly so our dog could join us.

This is a very late review so apologies to all involved. I had my husbands 60th surprise party here on a Saturday evening . Hit and cold food, deserts , salads , nothing was too much for them .Luciana and Kevin did an amazing job, the bar staff and kitchen staff were amazing, the food was excellent and catered for 60 people. We had entertainment from The Motion. It was a beautiful unforgettable evening , their hard work paid off! This was also done after a full lunch service. Bravo to the whole team . It was such a memorable night ❤️💙

The food is absolutely exceptional. By far the best fish and chips I've ever had! I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Kudos to the chef! Staff are friendly and the beer is good.

This would have been 5 stars for everything but finding a piece of blue plastic wrapping in a desert was the reason for the downgrade. It was brought to the attention of the staff and I expected someone to come to us with an explanation and an apology but nothing happened! On leaving, I mentioned that I was surprised that no-one had come to speak to us and apologise but there was still no apology! The barman acknowledged the incident and confirmed that the manager knew about it but there was nothing other than recognition of the event. Unbelievable!

Nice inside but Sunday lunch was very small. One spoonful of mash. Two small roast potatoes. The tiniest bit of broccoli , 1 piece of cauliflower and a slither of parsnip. The meat was ok. Definitely not worth the price. No additional veg offered. Wouldn’t come back for Sunday lunch £17 each lunch.

Hi I did a review back in july last year and at the time I was not happy with The Masons, but after a return visit a week ago, my how it's changed for the good, The staff were very helpfull and polite, beer great and the food looked amazing. I will definatly be going back and next time for food. well done all a pleasure to go back. Cheers.

Good food and good service. Pity you have to listen to the television from the bar area whilst having your meal. Like most pubs the cost of soft drinks is extortionate.

The Mason’s Arms was recommended by staff from the hotel where we were staying on a weekend away in Shropshire. The pub is an attractive country pub where you get a warm welcome and you can have a decent meal or just a drink with friends. We had a meal and the options on the standard menu were really good with some additional specials. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. This was an excellent recommendation to us and we would in turn highly recommend this lovely country pub.

We had a lovely meal here this evening. The battered fish was perfectly cooked, and the sea bass was excellent. Tracy was lovely. We will definitely be returning.

We are regular customers here. We want the place to succeed as it’s our local but after last night, just appalled. We arrived at just before 6pm; another couple were seated in the dining area. We were a party of 3 and our son went to order some food at 6pm. He was told - you can’t order for at least an hour; don’t want to overwhelm the kitchen and expecting a party at 6.30pm. We bought a drink and thought perhaps it was a large group at 6.30pm so kitchen prepping food. 6.30pm came and a party of 3!!!! turned up and immediately had their order taken, ignoring us local regulars! We finished our drinks and left. Just appalling

Had a wonderful meal here. The waitresses were nothing but excellent very attentive and friendly and the food was simply super tasty- and they put parsnips to the veg bonus! 5 star recommend Went again 11/11/2023 for my mums birthday and had to come and write how again Izabel excelled in serving us. She is extremley friendly and wonderful nothing too much trouble and very on the ball with serving all tables often alone and going above and beyond. Another lovely meal. Can recommend the salon and prawn bloody Marie salad starter and the lamb shank main. Thank you

We had a really lovely meal at The Masons Arms on a Sunday afternoon in October. There is a really good food and drink choice here. As a table of 4 we ordered the beef stroganoff (x2), the chilli con carne and the lamb shank. All of the meals were tasty, full of flavour and freshly cooked. We squeezed in a pudding and I would highly recommend the apple and toffee crumble; yummy with the custard. It’s a lovely clean pub and the staff are really friendly and clearly working very hard. We visit The Masons regularly for a drink with our poochy however this is the first time we’ve eaten here in a long time, we will definitely be back for more!

A very warm welcome by the staff, we ordered our food which came in good time and was delicious, well cooked, tasty. Ambience of the pub was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. One star lost because the tv was on, something I really dislike at mealtimes.

The Mason's Arms was just across the road from where we were staying. At first sight it just seems to be a straightforward village pub, and our expections for dinner were fairly low. But how wrong we were!!! The bar areas are very welcoming and in that sense it is a very traditional cosy English pub .. and there is good choice of beers and wines etc. But the food was wonderful. We chose from teh Special menu which clearly included dishes that bwere favourities of teh Chef - Lucianna. We started with Black Pudding and Haggis Fritters. There were great tasing and very crispy and light. For mains we had the Salmon and Prawn on pasta with a Lobster Bisque, and the crispy chickern tenders with a gentle chilli sauce. again with psts. They were wonderful meals. Prices are also very reasonable. Great place to eat!!!!

We had a family gathering of 25 , prebooked tables and had a wonderful time . The food is exceptional , all freshly cooked , fantastic presentation and tasted as good as it looked. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend to one and all. We’ve eaten there three times now and every time the standard is exactly the same . If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, this is not the place for you. The food was freshly cooked .. so did take some time. It was stunning on presentation and the taste was amazing. The menu is varied and we all had something we wouldn’t normally have. Toilets were immaculate, car park spacious and general appearance to the pub was really good. Price is excellent, great value for money.Highly recommend

We had been at the raf museum at cosford and found this little beatuy. wow the drinks on offer are fantastic, lots of real ales, larger and alcohol free choices. food menu fantastic plenty to choice from and all home cooked. Would highly recommend. we will definitely be coming back

Had a wonderful afternoon having drinks in the sun, admiring the views, with friends. Decided to have dinner there and chose fish and chips. Great service and the most wonderful fish and chips one could have hoped for. Fresh fish, crispy battet, gorgeous! Proper country pub, great beer, food and service. Visited the Masons tonight as we didn’t fancy cooking . Have been a few times before and always been pretty good but tonight brilliant! Friendly service, cosy atmosphere and delicious food. Very reasonably priced, will definitely recommend!

Had brilliant lunchtime meal here today. Homemade food was amazing. Service was superb. Very quiet and comfortable at around 13:30pm. Homemade soup and garlic mushrooms, homemade steak and ale pie and hunters chicken. Can't wait to go back again.

The food was beautiful! We have been a couple of times. The first time the staff were very friendly. Yesterday the most of the staff were friendly. The one lady needs to smile a little more and to be more pleasant. I think it was the owners sister or sister in law!!!

Phoned on the spur of the moment and was offered a table within the hour. By far, the best Sunday lunch we've had in a long time. Choice of beef, Turkey or pork, with all the trimmings. Requested extra gravy, and was provided with 2 jugs, one beef and one Turkey, to compliment our choices. Friendly staff and clean, tastefully decorated pub surroundings. Definitely somewhere we will visit again. 10/10

We’ve been staying in Kemberton whilst our kitchen is being remodelled. Our rental is just around the corner from the Masons Arms. We’ve eaten here 4 times in the last 2 weeks and every time it’s been great! It’s a proper village pub that’s clearly loved by locals and visitors alike. We’re moving back home, about 3 miles, away tomorrow but will be visiting regularly now.

We were going to stop here for some food on our drive from Wales to Doncaster after reading the 5 star reviews, but unfortunately we didn’t feel like we wanted to after a couple of minutes of being out of the car and letting the dog out, we were told that we couldn’t park there if we weren’t going to buy anything from the pub. We repeatedly stated that we were going to buy food but the gentleman told us that if we weren’t going to buy from the pub then we couldn’t park there. My partner and I felt so unwelcomed that we decided to just have a drink before moving on, which cost us £7.20. Overall, quite disappointed in the welcome we received.

Called here with some friends on Bank Holiday Monday after a enjoyable dog walk in surrounding area . Four of us in our party 2 couples . We sat outside as it was a lovely day . 2 of us went into order drinks and asked for a menu , we were told that they were only serving food on the patio and not down the garden (about 50feet away ) as she was too busy to walk down there so we would have to fetch our own food when it was ready . As it was we got a table right by the door . When we went into order our food we asked if we could pay separately but have both orders together rather than splitting the bill afterwards . We were told this was fine she would put them through together. Off we went outside to wait . After about 50 minutes I commented to my friends that other people seemed to have eaten and we had received nothing . Our friends had eaten there before and said it is unusual as they normally bring your cutlery out when you ordered . My friend went in and rather than chase our food simply asked if it would be easier if we got our own cutlery . She was asked what food she was waiting for and replied that 2 of the meals were sea bass and a chicken burger . She was then I formed the order was next to come out . About 15 minutes later she bought out the sea bass and a chilli which was our friends order and said she couldn't see anything else on the order . We replied no we had ordered together and told her what the other 2 meals where . She said they were next out and would be with us shortly . Another 15 minutes expired until our meals arrived .(our friends had almost finished their food) I politely asked if they had forgotten our meals ,and if we would have got them at all if we hadn't gone in for cutlery She in a not very polite manner told us it was our fault for ordering separately too which we told her she said this was fine at the time and would put them through together . She also then said we had bee informed there would be a delay as there was a table of 6 infant of us . She did not mention any waiting time nor anything about a table of 6 when we ordered. When we stated this she quite abruptly that she had and it was basically our fault . I commented that as they had forgotten our meals ( which she kept avoiding answering) what compensation she would offer off our dessert. She said I will give you a creme brulee , we said what about the cheese board . She said no chance and your not getting a hot dessert either they are too much money . Her attitude and customer service skills were disgusting . We actually left without ordering a dessert at all . The Food I must say was excellent but spoiled by the service. Before writing this review as I'm against negative reviews normally I called the owner 2 days later as he was away and explained our experience to him to see what reaction we got . He thanked me for the call and said he would speak to the staff All we needed through this whole experience off the staff and the owner was for someone to admit the mistake and a simple apology.

Went for a meal on my birthday after trying to find somewhere that serves food on a Monday and is also dog friendly. So glad we did as the food was gorgeous and we were made to feel really welcome. We had to sit in the bar area which was the dog friendly part and it was lovely. Will come back in the summer as the garden looked so nice too with amazing views.

We have been here several times. The food is always lovely. We have been again today, this time for mothers day lunch. All meals were lovely and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and professional, ensuring everything was right for us.

I just love this place, there is never a disappointment the food is always amazing and the barman and his wife go the extra mile to please.

We had a lovely meal with friends here recently. The food was cooked to perfection and the portions were not too big. The staff were very polite and helpful, but not overly friendly. It's a lovely place to go for a special occasion, but it is quite expensive.

Just sat with the wife in The Mason Arms after a recommendation from a friend. Our food was probably the best home cooked food we have had in a long time! Fresh and tasted amazing. The pub was very welcoming and a lovely quiet atmosphere. I would 100% recommend and will definitely be returning to try more of the menu! Thanks
