A fantastic experience at the Rugby Tavern whilst having dinner with family.I would thoroughly recommend this friendly buzzing pub/restaurant were we were made to feel so welcome with their genuinely friendly approach. The delicious food was served quickly by great staff who were brilliantly managed by Danny. The menu has a great variety of food for everyone and all the food coming out of the kitchen looked very tasty.I would thoroughly recommend the Rugby Tavern for great a great experience for food or a drink in the cosy pub or big pub gardens.Thank you Danny and team.

Me and my partner visited this pub today for lunch . We had a lovely welcome from the young lad behind the bar who showed us to our table . Then becky our waitress came out and we ordered our food . We didnt have to wait long . The food was lovely hot and taste great . We also had pudding after too was which was really nice .and we both enjoyed our meal . The time we went was quite and it was lovely to have a nice meal with my partner . We both said we would go back again as the staff and service was great .

Visited here on a Friday lunchtime, place was busy with a large group of people but we found a table OK. I had the Steak pie and my wife had the gammon steak. Even though I love a pie I must admit the gammon steak looked better, it was just like you would buy from a butcher rather than the bland, uniform supermarket ones. She said it was the best she had ever had !! We had a lovely pint of Landlord each to go with it. All very good and we will visiti again.

Really enjoyed our meal yesterday, thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our food was tasty and hot, and the food we saw coming out to other customers looked really good. The staff were very friendly and efficient even though one of them was still training. The pub in general felt clean and I must say much cleaner than when it was a Green King pub. We will definitely return.

Arrived at lunchtime today, Thursday 3rd April 2025 at 1.00pm, to find the barrier across the entrance and the premises closed. I had taken the precaution of checking tripadvisor (which gave opening hours as 12.00 to 15.00) and the pub's the web site to make sure that it was open prior to visiting, there was no clue as to why it should be closed.

An absolute disaster! We ordered a table for two people there the day before for Sunday at 6 p.m. When we got there we found an almost empty pub and were told that the kitchen was closed on Sundays from 5pm. The best part was that we then drove to the Running Horse Inn and it is a brilliant restaurant! Good food at low prices and top service!

Pre-booked and welcomed on arrival for a reserved table. Ordered a starter of the Focaccia to share. Two cocktails for £15 and a still bottle of water with an Argentinian Malbec to follow. Main course for me was shoulder of lamb which was superb and my wife had sticky cauliflower which had a great taste. For sweet, I had a mini cheesecake with flat White. attentive service for all our guests and toddler. A great evening out, and two weeks early. A great way to celebrate Father’s Day. I would heartily recommend the Railway Inn.

We had booked for an overnight stay which included dinner bed and breakfast. We arrived in glorious sunshine (which obviously was a bonus) but from the moment we stepped into the 3 horseshoes it was faultless. We arrived a little early for check in but decided to have a snack off the menu and some drinks. From going in all the staff were very attentive and cheerful.. After our snack we decided to go into the beer garden as it was such a lovely day. Got some drinks and spent the next couple of hours chilling out - what a lovely area and with the background of the rolling countryside behind us. We then checked into our room - again this was lovely and sparkling clean. Later we went into the dining room for our evening meal - again couldn't fault this. Lovely choices and very good portions and staff were again lovely. Breakfast was great - again lots of choice and served with a smile. We didn't partake of the spa, but that looked very inviting too. We will certainly visit again. Thank you all at the 3 Horseshoes for making our stay so very enjoyable.
