Rugby Tavern in Warwick

This pub has improved so much the last couple of years, the beer is always top notch & the food is great value. The staff are very attentive even in busier periods which is a thumbs up to the management team. Myself & my friends come in here regularly to watch the football and play pool etc. Keep up the great work

The staff are always friendly & welcoming.We have had several meals there & they are always very nice never had any problems with the food. The tables are always cleared & wiped clean quickly after someone leaves.

I go into this pub on a regular basis since noticeable improvement a few years ago. Not had any problems when I've ordered food. Prices are perfectly reasonable and there are a decent selections of beers, etc. Special mention of the owners. A colleague reported some pot holes going into the car park by phone. Within a very short they had been fixed. Great service all round.

Jack, Dan and the team have made this a destination venue in this part of town .. great service with a smile and always a good atmosphere, especially when sporting events are on .. well done and thxu all!! .. B

Food okay. Window cills covered in dust and cobwebs. Didn't notice until after our meal had finished. If it's like this in the restaurant what is it like in the kitchen where food is prepared and cooked.

Seriously slow service. As there were eight of us we asked for separate bills. They messed it up and then they took half an hour to sort it out. The food was nice but we won't go again

Great pub, frequently take part in their well subscribed pub quiz on a Tuesday. Often have deals for cheap pints and discounted food. Food is good quality and they have monthly specials on burgers. Staff are friendly, and service is always pretty quick. Jack is a great laugh, always enjoy a catchup with him over the bar

Great place for a family dinner with a large menu and great service. Our food was cooked superbly and the waiting staff were friendly and polite which made the experience even better. Would definitely come back with family and friends

Dirty sticky tables, my meal was awful, lasagne burnt at bottom , only the middle could be eaten as the edges were like brick, the person i was eating with his meal was lovely

We were very happy, food was yummy well cooked & presented, reasonably priced drinks too & outdoor seating area . Had a gluten free menu so made it easy for friend to order what she wanted too with ease. Fast service & polite service, we all ordered food & it arrived together. Toilet bin overflowing and at 1:30 !! 1 meal did not arrive until the rest of us finished our meal, excuse was the order didn’t print properly . Very disappointing

Came in yesterday and had a couple drinks with some friends, just catching up. All the staff on were lovely and thank you to kayley for bringing our drinks and food over when we ordered on the app!

Called in for a bite to eat. Quiet afternoon. The place needs a good clean, extremely sticky tables. Ordered a couple of non-alcoholic drinks. Which were given in bottles. And one glass which had 3 Types, YES 3 types of lipstick on it! When I took the glass to be changed, the man went through at least 10 glasses to find a nearly clean one. Whilst putting all the dirty ones back.! Then, he proceeded to scratch himself all over, forheard, beard, chest, not just once either.... We DIDN'T STOP for food. 🤢

Ordered soft drinks. Glasses the drinks were served in were filthy. Seeing that always puts me off a pub.

Hadn't been for a while and was pleasantly surprised,had 5 of their small plates between 2 of us and they were very good, quick service and reasonable price

The staff could be a little more relaxed! Felt like I was facing a Sgt Major in a disciplinary action for taking pictures of Menu & Bar!!! Further to your patronising reply about taking photos of staff, I do know better!! Have u seen photos of your staff or anyone in my reviews? No! I did not and will not take photos of people. I am there to review your establishment not take photos of people or staff. Most establishment will let you unless you have something to hide

Nice place even if a little expensive

Been before and the food was really nice. This time it was awful Hunters Chicken - chicken very over cooked, salad going brown and slimy. Table was dirty (we arrived as it opened) menus dirty and sticky. Staff very friendly - the only good thing there!!

Waited over 20 minutes at the bar to be served, staff walking passed but ignored us so we walked out and took our custom elsewhere. Place is gradually going downhill

Had a table for 15 that was pre booked the manager Daniel made sure everything was sorted and gave us a very spacious table, excellent service and amazing food was amazing would definitely recommend the tavern friendly staff and great management

My Partner and I come here regularly, every visit is great! Food is never wrong, the prices I think are faultless and overall a very warm and welcomed feeling each and every trip. This making The Rugby Tavern the number 1 place to visit for lunch or a teatime meal. Today Sunday 12th RYAN who brought our food and a nice chap behind the till both made today another great experience. Thank you to everyone here and a special shout to the CHEF who never fails to dish up great food and to all the other hard working staff.

We live locally to the rugby tavern and regularly visit- great food, great staff, fair prices and a fun playground for children to play on outside. Lots of indoor and outdoor space too. We would definitely recommend! The chicken katsu curry is delicious!

Went with our now adult family as used to dine years ago when they were little. Natasha & Josh/Jake great staff. Knowledgeable, quick & good. We notice that there is always Management present even if he is just simply sitting at a table observing/working. This has turned Rugby T around & their reputation is now very good. It is always busy with good vibe. Now as we are retired we often go & enjoy a good meal.

This is my closest pub, it's not a quaint village pub but the building is lovely, big and welcoming with a car park front and back (and a small Sainsbury's next door and my fav chipshop across the road) the bar has a great 'local' atmosphere and popping in for a pint of Inches and a small organic Pino (10.64) is perfect! The food is basic, good and cheap and there is a lovely garden! Lots of screens for sport lovers and a pool table, an all round good small town pub, oh and the staff are great!

Spot on meal, lots of choice at reasonable prices. Main menu, also separate kids and senior menu. Find a table and order at the bar. Friendly, welcoming staff and plenty of parking. Can eat outside but maybe when it's a bit warmer. We will be here again for sure!

I really enjoyed my time here at the rugby tavern as I live in Birmingham and over here to see my girlfriend , we organised to come here and have a drink and some food , and I can tell you it was next level our waitress Tilly was serving us with such joy and really made me and my girlfriends night , the food was brilliant and a wonderful selection of drinks. The parking was easy and in a brilliant location , the facilities and vibe were brilliant. And again a big thank you to Tilly for being a wonderful member of staff and making our nights.

Edit 2024_1: I have removed my previous comment from January 2024 as everything seems back to my review from 2023 so think it’s fair to update this. 2023: Great quality food at a reasonable price. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. They always check you’re happy with everything when you’ve ordered a meal, which is so refreshing, as not many places seem to do this anymore or are too busy to bother. You can see the staff are very busy but they still always check you’re happy with whatever you have ordered.

The dedicated bar area is becoming more lively on a weekend . Food is good 👍 Always plenty of staff too .

This is a good pub for inexpensive wholesome food, mains in the daytime from £7.00, staff are friendly and helpful. There is ample parking.

We went out for meal for 5 Tonight has a family prior to today I went into the pub in question on 13th 02 2024 too book for today in question for 5 of us for 6 pm table 8. Up on arriving tonight we came too find out they not given us the correct table in question of which I took diss like tonight, never the less i was not going to let this spoil the night in question. when we sat down we decided what we going to order and I then went up too bar to placed the order for first we ordered the following items 3 garlic breads and cheese 3 cheese fires 2 mixed grill one chicken burger 2 steaks also. we also made extra question first of all 1 steak too be well done 1 mixed grill too be well-done The totally bill amount was £110.41 excluding drinks When the starts came out they was ok no issues at all really. But when the food came out this were problems was and i am sorry not paying £110.41 for this when going out for family meal too. 1, missed both gammons of the mixed grill them saying kitchen forget too put them on 1,a both meals was warm not hot of which found really poor 2, the well done steak was not cooked well-done and also not hot too we offered too warm it up in Microwave of which we declined we not paying for food too be warmed up like this shocking 3, mine mixed grill chip not cooked correctly 4, both of meals including chicken burger and other mixed grill chip's not cooked correctly . 5, all over the meals not hot just warm up raising this with the pub they only refunded one meal and i am requesting this too further be looked into. please see attached images too and evidence of payment. please kindly note this not normally what we get from this pub or pub meals shocking. FURTHERMORE TOO ADD WHEN YOU SPENDING £110.41 YOU ASPECT IT TOO BE CORRECRTLY I AM SORRY BUT ON TONIGHT ITS WAS NOT WORTH THIS KIND OF MONEY.

Was buzy an a good pint o bitter

A fantastic pub no matter what you are looking for! If your hungry the menu is great and at a good price. The beer choice is top draw and so many screens for the footy! Not to mention the staff are friendly and even at its busiest getting served is a breeze. Will defo go back!

We went for the seniors menu at lunchtime. It was fine but the portions are very small. Apparently seniors eat kids portions! It didn’t matter because it was lunchtime but I would not have been impressed for my evening meal. They do 2 for 1 apparently so unless you eat like a sparrow you would be better looking at that. I was with a friend and wanted it to be a pleasant meal out so no fuss or comments made at the time. The 6 miniature pieces of scampi and 10 chips served were dwarfed by the peas. The only good thing I never usually have enough tartare sauce but had plenty this time His 2 sausages came with a small portion of mash and a decent serving of peas and onion gravy - he def got the better deal. Desert was half a piece of brownie with a scoop of ice cream. Total for 2 with a drink each was £25. I dis take a photo of the portion, check it out.

Moved here last year and it’s become our local spot. A great welcoming pub for a few drinks. Friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere and a great accepting local crew. My partner and I love coming down a few times in the week to catch up with everyone and play a few games of pool. Would certainly recommend to any locals in the area, and anyone visiting nearby. 5*

Our must visit when we travel down to see our son from North Yorkshire. Relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff and excellent food especially the Gammon which is my usual choice. I would totally recommend.

Can I just say thank you so much to all the staff at the rugby tavern leamington spa we had a big party meal later afternoon it was such a treat thanks to everyone working there.

Another lovely meal, we try to visit every time we visit from North Yorkshire to our Son and family who live in leamington. I always have the Gammon which is delicious. Lovely staff, lovely relaxed atmosphere together with reasonable prices. Lovely in the summer when you can sit in the beer garden while our grandson is in the play park.

Confirmed booking for Xmas eve to turn up to be told they were busy; tried to squeeze 7 of us on a table for 6 with an extra chair that would’ve meant that person standing up every time staff tried to get past; fortunately another family offered us their table. Service was good with no complaints but the food was average at best; one of the steaks we ordered was simply inedible. Our local pub which has changed hands many times - this was the worst meal we’ve had there!

Came here for the first time with my partner straight from work quite busy for a Monday The food was Fabulous and piping hot absolutely delicious...The staff Were lovely and polite can't wait to go back next week

Went to watch the World Cup Rugby final, great vibe, beer, and food. It's definitely worth a visit. Staff are very pleasant and service with a smile. The atmosphere is excellent The starter plates, taco, etc, are the best. Go visit them.

Food and drinks very good as a pub should be. The service happens all the the counter, even when eat in you need to go to the counter - they can keep a tab open. Atmosphere is nice, however, depending which night you go - karaoke, pub quiz, matches - the vibe/atmosphere can be very different. Overall very good place, recommend it.

A regular lunch visit with a friend for great food at great prices , the senior menu is perfect for smaller appetites plus 2 courses, the staff can't do enough for you , so friendly and approachable especially*Ryan and Jamie* even when they are busy they have always accommodated us , if you want great food , great prices with great staff visit the Rugby Tavern, you won't be disappointed 👌

The staff were friendly and pleasant. The food was good. Pleasant surroundings but with no atmosphere.

Great food and service, the place has a nice family atmosphere. Even on busy days, you don't wait long to get your food and drink, and it's still possible to have conversations at your table. That being said, there was a problem with the doors not being closed. Other patrons would swing the rear or side doors open and not close behind them, allowing large breezes to enter the place. The rear door would close automatically if the mechanism wasn't broken.

The food is good value and quick. Staff very friendly all the time. The beer is pretty expensive compared to independent pubs (about £1 per pint more) hence the lower rating. When I watched football there the seating seemed quite limited around the TVs but this may be because there was a rugby game on too

We haven't been for a long while . Now Part of green king chain , think a sizzler previous. Food was OK at a fair price . Typical simple pub fare. Free parking . Next to sainsbury's on main road . There is plenty of room inside for food or just drinking

Came in for Sunday lunch with my elderly mother this past Sunday. Lovely meals! We both had the Duo of roasts. The beef was lovely and pink and the man taking my order even offered me mash as I don’t like cauliflower cheese. Excellent service & I will be returning very soon

Sat in garden and ate, so useful too, especially if you have kids playing, having table service for food and drinks !
