Lovely pub visit for coffee to end a beautiful walk. Very pleasant chap working on the bar. Peaceful atmosphere as I was there in the morning. Very clean.

Visited this pub recently having previously had a good experience. 2 of our party sent their food back as some of it was cold. The manager accused us of lying about the food and didn't apologise. The truth was the rest of the party's food was also cold but they ate it as they didn't want to cause a scene or wait for more food. We will never go back after this truly terrible experience.

Went with family for Sunday lunch. What can I say from start to finish it was a lovely day. The Sunday roast was delicious the lamb just melted in your mouth. Home made yorkies were to die for. Finished off with chocolate cookie dough and ice cream 😍. Service was outstanding and we didn’t feel rushed even though they were very busy. We would definitely recommend. ❤️

We have had nothing but good dinners and service in the past, so this experience was a real shame. After having 3 luke warm dinners and two cold lamb ones we decided just to ask for the two to be replaced. Rather than replace the meals they chose to just replace the lamb and potatoes. The lamb we received was oven cooked (we didn't ask this) and came back dry and shrivelled. We gave up and sent our plates back. On speaking to the server to get our bill he sarcastically told us he was staggered that of the two hundred meals that days these were the only cold ones. He repeated this before walking away. What was staggering was the lack of apology and the arrogance of the man.

Lovely place,I've not been here for many years ,but the staff were very welcoming, also curtius, there was Lovely outside barbecue that sold burgers and shakes in the out garden.

Excellent service here two days running. It is refreshing to find a team that are cheerful and accommodating and that seems to be led from the top. Well done. Will definitely be back

I noticed this pub on my previous trip to Royal Leamington Spa and was determined to pop in on my next visit... and it absolutely lived up to expectations! The food was exceptional, with perfectly cooked and high grade roast beef and a good selection of sides, and also plentiful; I have a large apetite and this is one of very few places to have left me full up! My two friends were also both very satisfied with their roast pork. Free parking (not time-limited either) and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. There were also LOTS of people making use of the outside space in the sunshine. I'd also like to give a big shout out to Harry, who was incredibly helpful when I phoned to book and was also super-friendly in person, a true credit to the team! 🙏 You will 100% be getting a return visit from me, and I'm looking forward to it already!

Went for lunch with a walking group, the food was beautifully cooked and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and staff, thoroughly recommended.

Brilliant pub/eatery in the Country Park. Breakfast and main meals available, log fire and well kept real ales. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. We'll definitely be back - it's a gem!

Underwhelmed by the quality of the food v the price. Sunday roast served on a plate with the veg and gravy. Apart from a nice roasted carrot, the rest of the veg was a slop of cabbage etc. Veg should have been supplied in a separate serving dish and gravy should be in a jug/boat to allow you to put it on the dish yourself. Dessert spoons were simply placed on a potentially dirty table - should have been supplied on a napkin. Apple sauce supplied in the jar (bit in the bottom) rather than say a ramekin or other serving dish. Sticky toffee pudding desert was nice apart from hot sauce was melting the ice cream so doesn't really work. Chocolate brownie was very small considering the price charged. The redeeming factor was the efficient of the serving staff especially a young lad whose name I didn't catch. Presentation of food needs more effort from the kitchen

Had a really lovely lunch yesterday. Friendly, helpful staff. Good menu. Dog friendly. And we all loved our food. One problem not enough room left for dessert !

Attended a private event with a finger buffet. Very disappointing sandwiches with no information as to what they contained in an age when people have allergies. Waiter walked through memorial event while memorial speeches were taking place - poorly trained.

We booked 12pm for Sunday lunch and asked if we could be sat by the fire. It was roaring and wonderfully cozy on a cold morning. We were greeted like we were long lost friends, sat and ordered our drinks. We then ordered our Sunday lunches and took the kids to the park for a play whilst they prepared it. We were called in a couple of minutes before the food arrived and golly gosh it was AMAZING! My 2 children (who are huge fans of stuffing) shared a child's pork and nut roast. They are now full nut roast addicts- it was absolutely delicious. I had the roast beef which was beautifully pink and tender. My friend had the roast pork with crackling, and all the trimmings including cauliflower cheese which was equally delicious. The roast potatoes were 10/10! The pub started to fill and had a warm family atmosphere. People laughing and enjoying food and nothing was too much to ask! We were very full so decided to take a walk to the Comyn where we had a play in the parks there. We walked back to the pub and were thrilled to now have room for desert! My friend and I both had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and the caramel sauce is just to die for! The kids had strawberry ice cream. Really really lovely time and would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxed, welcoming and delicious Sunday lunch.

Met up with friends at Newbold Comyn as midway between our homes. After good walk round common went to pub for a drink and food. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a great meal with the food being very good. Also very dog friendly and our springer spaniel loved it. Will come back in 2024.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Told there were no seats or tables when it was deserted. Ordered chips for £4.75 which came with 10 chips in total. Shocking visit. No awards should we awarded for how the lady behaved.

Came here on a cold Sunday afternoon with a heard for dogs. Sat outside, food was lovely, a great roast dinner. Staff very attentive and service was decent. Accommodating of us all and the 6 dogs so very pleased all round.

Unimpressed. We booked a table for a significant birthday. Booked for twelve people. Arrived to a table for eleven. Very tight and uncomfortable.braised it at the time and we’re told they were busy and couldn’t move us. This was despite us booking over a month in advance. As we live all points north, south, east and west, this location is central. But, the poor servicing of our reservation left a nasty taste. Would definitely not go back or recommend. Poor management, poor communication. If possible I would give No Stars.

We dropped in for a coffee and hot chocolate after our walk on the comyn...was very welcoming with a fire lit and the sausage sandwich ordered by a fellow customer on the next table smelt great.

Extremely good PUB to visit with friends and watch some UFC and have beer. Very cozy place. We really enjoyed all time here.

Always a delight to come here. Only thing I would change would be the atmosphere - it often seems very corporate and cold which is contrasting to its warm and welcoming structure and staff. Please sort the lighting and music out guys!

First visit with former work colleagues. Reasonably busy for a Friday lunchtime. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was fine, everyone enjoyed their meals.

I had a delightful experience at The Newbold Comyn Arms. After a lovely sun-soaked walk, we enjoyed two fresh and generously sized sandwiches with a side of crispy chips in their charming garden area. The bar staff was not only attentive but also genuinely welcoming, which added to the overall positive atmosphere. Moreover, the ample parking and comfortable outdoor seating made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this pub for a relaxing and satisfying meal in a picturesque setting.

Really nice place, tables outside where filthy to be honest and it was quiet, food was nice but the menu was abit of a let down, service was good.

This is our go to pub for many reasons- it’s local, it’s a great location, we can take the dog, the staff are great. We often go after a dog walk for coffee and breakfast and other times for drinks in the sun. Today we stopped later for early dinner and just needed to leave a review because the food was delicious - thank you chefs - gorgeous roast squash sales with prawns - the tastiest salad I’ve had in ages - and a burger - simple classic but just perfect - we love this place 🌟 And if you want a walk and a coffee it’s the best. If you ever want a private party or wedding venue it’s also a relaxed atmosphere with great food Thank you Newbold staff

Nice place food ok had meat roll meat was very chewy had been before and lovely so just think over cooked. Very noisy having some work done, which made a nice peaceful lunch not prefect.

We booked 13 people, with about 20 dogs for Sunday lunch, seated under cover outside. The food was excellent quality - tasty, meat lean and perfectly cooked, veg also just right. Service was friendly and quick. Great venue. Thank you. The dogs behaved too, after their walk!

Came here as part of a Guide Dog Pat and Chat event for National Grid. The pub was lovely with great outdoor space as well as good sized rooms inside. Toilets were clean and well maintained. The staff were polite and friendly and were happy to provide water for our Guide Dog puppy too. Would recommend.

Very nice pub with a wonderful children park just on the doorstep. Service was fantastic though there wasn’t a lot of option on the Sunday menu.

Nice pub especially if you are either at the swimming pool, sport fields or just walking past. Food is very reasonable and a good selection for people to choose from. Has a good selection of ales. If a warm day then sit outside and enjoy the view of the countryside. Considering how close to town centre it is very peaceful.

Great pub, located in a great location, selling great food and drinks. Some may find the food a tad pricey but it is well worth it. Last time I went, I kept hearing a guy repeatedly say, "This is the best £15 burger I've ever had!". He was not wrong.

Had a great lunch in their garden, under the open canvas tent/shade after walking through the gardens from Leamington centre. The perfect place to stop after a pleasant walk. Food was very good and the servers very pleasant.

We visited on Saturday with a group of friends. It was very busy as it was a sunny day. We sat under the tent in the shade as a few of us don’t like sitting in the sun. The food was excellent. I had the beef burger which was to die for. And the Eton mess which was Scrummy. Staff were very attentive. Will definitely be back 10/10

We had a lovely lunch here on Saturday. The staff were very pleasant. We had a wait of 50 minutes for our meal which was too long, especially as we had 2 children under 4 with us The kitchen was busy stocking up the outside burger bar and we weren't notified of the delay when ordering.. In fact inside the pub was very quiet.

Worst burger I have ever had, should have gone to McDonald’s. The burgers took an hour to come and for the price WoW. I should have asked for my money back. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there.

a group of us ate here after a local orienteeing event. Too many to all sit together but staff were very helpful in finding suitable seating so we could have a good post event chat in 2 groups. The food was delicious, hot and served in good time. Look forward to coming again soon.

We arrived at the pub this evening without a booking. They were fully booked in the seating areas for food and extremely busy. Karen, the manageress was amazing, I explained to her that we had a special needs child with us and that she wouldn’t understand if we couldn’t eat which would cause her distress (as well as her mummy!) Karen looked after us and we want to say thank you to her and her staff. The food was fabulous too, well worth a visit especially with family although the clientele were very varied. Great place 10/10

Must Recommend!! Went there for an early dinner. Place is huge. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and on top of that there is a carpark on site. A little bit expensive but quality of food and drinks will cover that. We had chunky fries(loved every bite of it), nachos(loved the fried jalapeños in it), spicy pakora (delicious), Pimm’s and lemonade. They accept apple pay, cash or card. Booking a table prior going would be a good idea.

I have become a regular at the Newbold Comyn Arms now. Sunday lunch is a bit of a ritual as it is just so damn good! Great food, friendly and informal we always feel happy there with our kids. We have been to a few events, birthdays and weddings in the beautiful Orangery. Love this place, worth traveling for but I am so happy to have it local to us.

Without a doubt the best bacon rolls and coffee in town. We are regulars and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They do a delicious Sunday lunch too. Good size helpings, very tasty and excellent Yorkshire puds!

We are regular customers at the Newbold. Just drinks or snacks or full on nights out. Sunday lunch is an absolute must. Food and drink offering is great. Staff are friendly and efficient and it feels like a family run concern. In addition we recently attended a wedding in the next door House and Orangery. The hospitality side of the business is very good, slick service and a very high standard meal that did not feel "mass produced" at all.

Country pub vibes in the heart of Leamington. I've been coming to this pub for years now and thougt it was about time I shared a review. I keep coming back because they are consistently good. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is obviously home made and fresh. I eat a mainly vegetarian diet and there are always options for me - and no cop out veggie or bean pies!! I get actual proper, home made, vegetarian, comfort food. ps. the desserts are DIVINE! Fab place - lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to meet friends and go for a walk and a drink.

Hot drink on this occasion after a walk around the Comyn, but have previously stopped for a pint and a bite to eat. Outside is dog friendly with water bowls but not sure about inside. Plenty of outdoor seating just a stones throw from the main car park or the trails.

Staff were very attentive to a large party of mad nurse's, only one criticism the plates could have been warmer. I personally Will return with my family as it was a most enjoyable experience. Thankyou.

A nice pub in a country location, a short walk from Leamington town centre. A couple of ales on the bar, pub mostly setup for dining, there is a spacious garden with children's play area.

We booked a Christmas meal, and it was good ... but we were asked to leave at 9pm because they were closing. Really? It was 8th December.

We live all over England so Leamington Spa is central and the Newbold came up. How pleased we were. A table of 12 reduced to 10 because of illness with no quibble, we offered to pre-order to help the kitchen, which was well received. The food was absolutely marvellous. Huge portions, quality food, reasonable prices (given today’s climate). We may have overstayed our welcome (sorry!) as we dished out Christmas presents to the group, but weren’t hurried on or asked to leave. In fact we were left alone at the crucial present-giving time, apart from attentive staff clearing the table to give us more room. We did leave though, to the playground outside followed by a walk in the wider grounds. Just perfect to walk off the massive puddings (sticky toffee I’m looking at you). Staff were all brilliant and faultless. Food was amazing. Booking (and confirmation) easy.. Thank you for making our family Christmas meet up so effortless.

Had a Christmas meal with a large party from work. Staff were very friendly and accommodating (I'd asked for a couple of adjustments to my meal). Turkey dinner and chocolate tart was very tasty, only reason I didn't score 5 stars was because I felt it was quite short on veg, however, that is because I don't like sprouts and parsnips which meant that I was left with half a carrot.

Another great visit to this pub...one of our favourites in Leamington. And a big thank you this time for allowing us to take home a number of antlers for our daughter's NHS ward Christmas party. It's the little things that make a difference in life ❤️

A lovely good old pub situated in a lovely area of Leamington, will be even better when the bike trails are open. It's dog friendly and does great food. Only let down is check the opening times before going - most days it shuts early, which is shame as we rarely visit it now.

Perfect evening!! Came here on a Thursday evening with a large family with 2 kids and had a wonderful time! The staff were great, Harry and Dylan dealt with us and were attentive and great with the two small kids running around. I eat out as much as possible and so far this year this has to be the best meal we’ve had out. We shared a chicken burger and fish and chips and both were cooked to perfection! So props to the chefs the quality only gets better and better. I’d recommend this pub to everyone! Thank you again.

Nice beer garden with plenty of seats. There's a bit under some shelter if it rains. Nice selection of beers too, standard but still good. Everyone's very friendly too!
