The setting was clean and comfortable and in line with most Beefeaters. We were happy to see the festive menu had already been launched and thoroughly enjoyed our first turkey dinner of this season - its set the bar high. Better than the food was our waitress who was bright, professional, thorough and had a great sense of humor. She even managed to prompt a decision from my indecisive mate. Thank you Hope for making a pleasant experience even better.

Visit coincided with launch of festive menu so the turkey roast & Black Forest gateau are recommended. A delicious meal & great service thanks to the staff especially our attentive waitress, Penny.

We arrived as we were visiting the area on a trip away. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. The service through out with Penny and Becky was absolutely amazing and they are a huge credit to the franchise. They were friendly and very efficient. The food came out and I had ribs that were really tender. My hubby had the baconater burger and enjoyed the new menu item very much . Would highly recommend anyone visiting this Beefeater xx

We came as a large group for my sisters wedding breakfast we was given a nice corner at bottom end of restaurant so little ones was able to play without distributing any other guests. Continental had a great choice for all ages and was well stocked our cooked orders were taken in good time and came out all together there was not complaints food was of great quality standards scrambled egg is the best I’ve tasted when eating out. Will definitely be returning great service all round

Warm welcome and friendly staff. Becky our waitress was lovely and attentive. As for the food, some was lovely but the prawn cocktail I had was mainly lettuce with only a small piece of tomato included. A decent amount of prawns but spoilt by all that lettuce and little tomato! Had to leave a lot of the lettuce! Reported to Becky and she said she would pass on the info. I had the prawn skewer for mains but disappointing with only 4 large prawns included on the one skewer. Atmosphere was relaxing and good.

We had a excellent Sunday lunch today served by Natalie very good as ever we visit on a regular basis.The beef was good but I thought the meat portions had reduced from 3slices to 2.The service was excellent ,served with crispy hot roast potatoes and carrots and broccoli and roast parsnips. The only thing that dissapointed us was no roast lamb available ,as we go especially for roast lamb hope they are not discontinuing it. Visited on 28th June & enjoyed my meal although as a regular here I was surprised when my steak was served undercooked. No cause for concern as our friendly & efficient waitress, Becky, soon rectified the problem so thanks to her & all the staff for making it an enjoyable visit.

Outside of the building the paint was peeling not a good start. Inside nice welcome. Ordered food. Sunday roast chicken with crispy roast potatoes and crispy parsnips with fluffy Yorkshire pudding. Once I deboned the chicken I tried to eat the fluffy Yorkshire pudding it was solid!! The roast potatoes weren’t crispy and were inedible and the parsnips were the same. The vegetables tasted watery and the gravy was thin and tasteless. I did inform the waitress and she said she would pass on my comments. We left a tip for the waitress not the food We will not be returning. Very disappointed

We came in Saturday lunch time and was pleasantly greeted by manager mark who asked if we had booked and if there was any allergies. We was then introduced to penny who showed us to our table and took our drinks order. We was given time to look over the menus before our orders where taken once our food arrived it was cooked to satisfaction and was nice and hot. On a hole our experience was very pleasant and the atmosphere throughout the venue was calm and enjoyable. We will definitely be returning thank you.

Wednesday 14th February 2024, My husband and I celebrated by going out for a Valentines Dinner. My husband and I are really big romantics at heart. We went for dinner at ‘The George In The Tree’ a Beefeater Inn in Balsall Common. We had booked a table there for 7.30pm. What can I say OUR VALENTINES EVEING WAS WONDERFUL. - COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF The staff were wonderful especially Becky who is very friendly and very professional in everything she does and nothing is too much for her. Becky brought us the special Valentine menu and wine list. My husband and I perused this ‘Lovers’ menu, which had some nice interesting, dishes on it and we made our choices. My husband for his starter had chicken goujons served with a BBQ sauce, which he said was very nice and just the right size for a starter. I had the cheesy potato dippers with bacon which was served with a BBQ sauce, which was delicious. My husband for his main course had sirloin steak with mushrooms on a pastry base with a mushroom and red wine sauce served with roast potatoes and a selection of vegetables, he said the steak just melted in the mouth and was delicious. I had salmon on a pastry base with a seafood and champagne sauce served with baby vine tomatoes, stem broccoli and baby buttered new potatoes, which was delicious. We washed all this lovely food down with Lemonchello Spritzer cocktails. My husband for his dessert had the ‘Lovers Pancakes’ served with Biscoff sauce and Biscoff crumb and a Biscoff biscuit, which he said was delicious. I had no room for a dessert, but I did have a chocolate orange martini after dinner cocktail, which was really refreshing and finished my meal perfectly. We did not bother with any tea or coffee afterwards as we were all very content.

Having stopped in the Premier inn next door, we took advantage of the meal deal £25.99 each 2 course evening meal with a drink then all you can eat breakfast. Great value for money, food was cooked brilliantly and very tasty. Great friendly staff ro.

We celebrated a birthday breakfast bash this morning for 11 of us. AS ALWAYS, the service was totally amazing. Got told at 8.45 last orders at 9 so if we wanted another drink we could order so we ordered one. Then went for another drink before 9 and was told that last orders was gone. Only to see a pint being poured 5 minutes later…

ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL VALUE FOR MONEY !! 6 of us went here for a family birthday meal Friday night, no politeness on arrival, Table not ready - had to sit In the bar and wait, order was taken & starters came about 15 minutes later, I was shocked at my Prawn cocktail starter I counted 8 small prawns In It & the lettuce was going brown on the edges all for £6.95 !! Main courses ( apart from one ) arrived about 15 minutes later, I ordered the Mixed Grill and I was shocked at what was put In front of me, I thought It was a Childs meal been brought out by mistake !! I wish I had of taken a photo of It, the Steak was tiny as was the piece of Chicken and Gammon , 3 tiny onion rings a small over cooked sausage cut In half and a few chips, a few had peas and an egg !! I complained to the waiter ( Reece) saying that when i had previously been to this pub before and had the mixed grill It was huge and had a large mushroom and 2 sliced fried tomatoes on It and the meat was bigger etc and he just said " I know"!! all this for £16.95 !! They had forgot one persons order and It finally came out when most of us had finished our meals !! The rest of the meals were not over generous In size especially for what you pay here , I also overheard people on a nearby table complaining about the poor value for money too !! Do yourself a favour and do not waste your money here !! This place Is also looking very scruffy too, seats worn out / material ripped, some light bulbs not working, This place should be ashamed !!

Came in today at lunch time with my mum we didn’t have a booking and was greeted pleasantly by penny who showed us to a table and asked if we had any allergies once we confirmed we hadn’t we had our drink orders taken and was given time to look over the menus including lunch time menu which was great value for money. Penny then took our food orders and our food was quickly prepared and brought out to great standard. Penny shows great customer service and made us feel very comfortable throughout our visit. We will definitely return again thank you penny

I have just walked out. I waited 25 minutes. The waitress took the order for the table next to me, but I got ignored. She then dithered around, still ignoring me. So I walked out and will eat elsewhere. I'm sure it'll be nicer. Not many people in the George today. Maybe they've treated others the same way. Shame in this current climate... I would think they'd be more keen to keep business.

We stayed at the premiere inn next door, we had breakfast here for 3 mornings. Fair selection of continental and ordered full English with inline amount. Was good to fuel up here which kept us going until evening meal. We ate here for 2 evenings 1st evening we had mixed grill, portions were good size, food of good quality and came out quick and hot. Waiter or was friendly and efficient. 2nd meal was our last night we had the rack of ribs, lovely and flavor some, Penny and Becky were lovely and friendly with a good knowledge of the menu and great on upselling the extras. Will definitely come again if In the area.

Went for a meal here tonight and brilliant service from Penny and Becky. I had the salmon which was lovely and my wife also had the salmon. Our friends had prawn skewers and a salad and we all agreed the food was great. The staff were all great and very friendly. Will definitely come again.

First visit of the new year & what a delicious meal! Steak was cooked to perfection & the sticky toffee pudding with custard was perfect for a cold winter’s night. Staff were friendly & special thanks to Penny for being so attentive & amusing. See you again soon.

Excellent meal and Service by Natalie (5211). But as a regular customer I am going to complain about the rubbish WiFi internet connection. Until recently I’ve always been able to connect to Beefeater Rewards to claim a voucher when in the restaurant, if we decide to have a desert. This is no longer possible, unless I go out to my car and get online there to claim a voucher. This IMO needs to be resolved.

We had a brilliant annual Christmas eve breakfast with my family. Reece our server was dressed as the grinch and really made my children's day. Brilliant service and the food was delicious. 😊
