Food was a little chewy for the chicken. The overall standard of food was average .

Food was not great as expected. Chips were soggy and tasteless. Chicken had way too much sauce.

Lovely butterfly chicken, broccoli and peri chips. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Perfect Mothers Day dinner, food was delicious, great portion sizes, clean/tidy restaurant and super quick service with friendly staff. Fab, upbeat atmosphere. Paige and Niall were helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

I was impressed we didn't have to wait long before we were shown a seat. The atmosphere was nice on that cold January evening that we visited. We later opted for a takeaway to eat at home and freed up the seat to wait at the corner while our food was prepared. The food preparation time was quick, and the staff were polite, had smiles on their faces, and were helpful. The food was delicious and well cooked. This was my first time of visiting Nandos Shirley, and i am impressed. I will definitely be going back

Very courteous young lady looked after us. Parking on the road is free after 6pm. No ticket required to be displayed

Never order delivery this is the 3rd time they’ve said can’t find address yet been here loads keep the money for 3 days and no food absolutely shocking customer service

Visit today staff couldn't be any more friendly especially the ladies who gave my grandson a lolly when he didn't want his ice cream we were so surprised it just stopped him being upset thank you so much.

The place was buzzing with people. Seems to be very popular in the Shirley area. Food was good and service, quick and friendly.

Great experience dining at Nando’s Shirley! Been to different locations (in UK and overseas) — by far Shirley branch has the best Chicken Pittas! Great service and they have more choices on drinks too! Have to give a shout out to staff for doing an amazing job. Also they didn’t hesitate to find me an iPhone charger and moved my table position next to the USB charging socket.. fantastic staff really.

Notting can match their legendary sauces. Finger luckingly delicious 🐔🍗

Update 2023: Like the new 'open look' of the interior but not quite sure where to stand when you go to 'eat in' whilst you wait to be seated. Still don't like the tables in the middle aisle, always prefer a booth/table by the window/table against the walls. Menu has been 'trimmed', don't mind that. After all it's all about the 🐔!. Love the halloumi & chilli jam starter- but we always wander why an odd number of 5 if you want to share? I suppose you could order a portion each if you're greedy- like me! Still 5***** from us!🥰🥰 Love me some Nandos! My daughter & I visit whenever we have something to celebrate. Pricy but nice. Place always seems busy! Staff friendly. No problem if u can't finish your meal- just ask for a box to take it home! 20%NHS discount with ID. We go before it gets busy & there's a queue outside the door!!

Always a good trip to Nandos. Simple and cost effective.

No clear opening times on the door. Staff will just stare at you through the doors instead of informing customers of when they open. Google suggests they open at 11.30. but who knows because the staff won't tell you either!

Busy...but a great little Nandos nevertheless

Food is always pretty good here at this Nandos, as you would expect and has recently had a refurb inside so had a nice updated decor. Also it was great to see the butterfly burger back on the menu as it has been off for over 2 years! Might be down to it being a popular location but it is always pretty busy in here and I do feel like they have crammed in too many tables into this restaurant. As you walk in on the right hand side they basically have tables in what should be a walk way. We were sat here initially but then had to move when another booth became available as it would have not been comfortable to eat on one of these small tables at all. Note on the staff, they all seemed to be a bit miserable if I am honest, not much care about what they do and very rarely smile…

Nando is what it is. Its never going to be great but it's always okay. Not the cheapest place to eat but staff friendly.

Poorly managed. Ordered online for collection to wait an amount of time I could have cooked it my self. Lady managing was rude, served customers before without asking what I was here for.

i assumed that the new refurbished design meant the service would be the same, however to my dismay, i was very wrong! service was absolutely apalling, food took over an hour to arrive and no one helped us when we asked how long the wait would be, if ur looking to waste ur time, COME HERE!!

I was not impressed by the food at all the microwavable mash or the bland rice🤢, DO NOT BUY half of it was still freezing cold as ur staff must’ve not mixed it mid way warming it and everything was just bland and not worth the money, however the staff were very attentive and lovely I must say that, but I’ll stick to pepe’s thank u!

Been going to Nandos for years but had a terrible meal at this branch. Butterfly burger on very hard focaccia type bun with chicken breast chewy and dry. Regular chicken on bun very fatty thigh meat. Combined with being made to wait outside in the cold by manager because "the grill was too busy" although 70%+ of tables were empty was strange. Think due to take away orders??? Won't be returning

We've been to this location many times before its re-design and never had a problem. Unfortunately, the décor did not save the experience. We arrived around 16:00 to find a queue waiting for seating and a half-empty restaurant. It seems the location is a tad understaffed. We were seated and ordered through the app. We ordered 2x halloumi sticks and dip, arriving before we got our drink glasses. We had finished our starters before the glasses arrived. Unfortunately, the location seemed to be in short supply in the drinks department, as a third of the drinks dispenser were unavailable, only offering Coca-Cola (and varieties). We ordered Fino Pitta's, which were great as always. The rest of the experience was okay. Unfortunately, we had a poor experience caused by the spotty service due to the poor team being understaffed. I look forward to coming back to this beautifully re-designed location. However, I hope more effort is put into recruitment so the experience can flow.

Looking really nice since the refit

This Nandos is at its best. The staff are courteous and quick. Service was excellent on a previous visit. However , got a takeaway yesterday which had one less item. Judge them as you will or make sure your order is correct before you leave

Welcoming staff, very busy but made time to be attentive to the customers. Constantly cleaning the eating area. Food freshly cooked and generous portions. Recommended.

Nothing against Shirley at all but Nandos is Nandos.....average, and over-priced.

Do not order anything vegetarian from Nandos, I've tried their Mushroom burger, Beanie burger and today had their Chickpea burger and it was the worst of them all. The bun was burnt and too small for the pattie, meaning everything slid out onto my plate. It tasted okay and the chips were good though. I've had chicken from Broad Street and New Street Nandos and their quality of food was much better.

Staff wasn't helpful and had attitude

If you ask if you can book you're told that you can't book. When you go on spec you are asked did you book. When you say no they say we are fully booked? How does that work. It doesn't for me. However the staff are lovely and so is the food.!

As per Usually nandos. Nothing amazing but you know what your getting. Annoyingly you have to download and register for their app to order and only seemed to pay by card. A little Frustrating and received 4 emails in 24hour so signing up. I get enough spam as it is.

Very good chicken, the halloumi was a bit costly for what it was but otherwise a good meal all round.

Disappointing. Hadn't been for a long time so was really looking forward to a nice meal. It took over 20 standing at the counter to order. The chips were terrible and the pitta meal was mediocre.

Please put the coleslaw in the bag next time guys if it’s not to much to ask

Nandos is often what I think about if we want to go out for a good quality spicy chicken dinner and we've been visiting them for over 20 years. I have to say that it's not as good as it used to be and part of the problem is the lower value for money you get now. In my opinion the options are overpriced and the quality reduced so we do not come here very often. It's still a decent experience and the staff on our last visit were very friendly and chirpy so it just about gets a 4 star rating

The service and food was good. The place however needs to be refurbished. The service door to the rear was left open for a considerable amount of time letting in a cold draft. But the food and service was good.

Nando's is one of those places, great for a snack, meal with the family or with the partner. The shirley nandos is a hood one. The staff are generally very polite and helpful. I don't like that you can't book but that's a nation wide policy with nandos. Additionally if you are an emergncy/NHS worker they will do a 20% discount with an I.d. I've had good meals here and can't actually recall a bad one. If you can't get a table and have to wait there are a couple of decent enough bars nearby to grab a drink. The service at nandos is always quick and the food is always prepared well.

Good service. Went on a Saturday and there was an hour delay in finding a table. It's a very small restaurant should be bigger. Defo should book in advance to avoid the wait time.

Fastest Nandos I have been. Service was excellent and food very good.

Social distancing seems to have not only vanished but I could reach out and touch the people on next table and staff not wearing masks at all. Felt uncomfortable being there which is a shame as I use to like Nandos.

Ordered takeaway, food came out really quick. Chicken burger had this one sorry piece of lettuce and the chicken was so much smaller than the bun. It is what it is.
