I absolutely love this place but stock control is not the best - only pork belly roast left at 6pm. This is an excellent location for great food but expecting most roasts to run out by 6pm is poor when roasts should be available.I choose to eat when busy families with young children have left. Tonight it was cold in the restaurant with no log fires on, apparently broken. Very disappointed that having been there since 3.30pm meeting friends for drinks that we had to leave to find somewhere else for food.

Came for a Christmas meal with my family, Jordan is a credit to the establishment every time I come in I always see how hard she works and how excellent her service is.

Came in to the little owl on Friday, I was greeted by bell on the bar who made my experience a pleasurable one. Very attentive and humorous made my visit would come back.

Paula was our waitress and she did everything she could to make it a lovely visit.

Lovely little pub, food is always delicious and portions are generous! A little gem amongst the hustle and bustle of business park and NEC. I would like this place even more if the toilets were given some TLC, taps are annoying and feels a bit tired. Saying that, the staff are friendly and food was ready within a decent time frame considering it was fairly busy. Definitely would recommend to fiends and family.

Lovely pub, fantastic food, very cosy and romantic atmosphere and service from Chloe was brilliant, will most certainly be returning very soon.

Went there on Christmas Day. Food would have been nice, but there was too much salt in gravy and marie rose sauce

Not happy at all.new year .told by off duty staff to leave our table quite abruptly. As the table was for staff party (staff party on Xmas year ????) 2 tables on either of our table was reserved for 19.15 .at 19.50 we were asked to leave our table by a rude young cocky boy ,our table never had a booking ticket on it .bar staff told us to sit there We eventually got our food.The waiting staff were rushed off their feet ,food 10 mins apart with no cutlery or condements we had to go and ask the bar staff .steak was ok sharing dishes very very dry .but by time our food arrived we were staving but still left some dishes. Off duty staff were abrupt cheeky and no respect for elderly people .we spent at least £100.00 with drinks and food .so very upset the way we were treated A lady call Louise with a dog was trying to apologise, who she was I don't know maybe she was one of the staffs mother .But nobody could apologise enough after ruining our New year Eve and the start to 2025.

Absolutely love the little owl, we are regulars, the food is amazing, they had a new dish in tonight it was Duck, the most wonderful meal I’ve had, it was fantastic, the staff are so friendly, Phoebe was our waitress tonight, she is so lovely and friendly and very attentive, highly recommend

Had great service by Phoebe who was very friendly and helpful. Food was great and we had a lovely chilled evening. Would highly recommend the signature burger was awesome.

Outstanding place, best Christmas meal we're eaten out

We have visited this pub today lovely, staff were very unfriendly like they could not be bothered to be there today, next was the expensive food for the portions they do offer, we had a margarita pizza with 2 extra toppings which was mushrooms (3 full ones chopped) £1’5 extra and some bacon which probably was a quarter of slice for £1’5£ also, onions rings portion was around 5 onions for £4’25 and some chunky chips about 8 pieces for £4’25 total price came to £26 as they do charged service fee of £4’22 for what they do serve and the poor customer service I won’t be returning and I do not recommended to visit this pub. Definitely worth it to drive 10 minutes to find other better options which are better value for money. Happy new years 2025!

Good service on a busy New Years Eve

Great atmosphere, food was tasty, well presented and good portions. Staff very busy but very polite and accommodating. One small issue with Pork main, which was resolved speedily. New Years Eve visit - singer for entertainment was great! Great venue - will be back!

Waited over an hour for food. Told to sit at a table that wasn't reserved. Steak plonked on table . After 10 minutes, went to bar and asked for cutlery. Staff plocked it on bar . Asked for condiments. Plonked on table . Staff party came in said we were at there table and could we move. We said no reserved at this table. They said , we're Staff and it's ours !! 2 male members of staff very rude . They wouldn't like there grandma to be spoken to like that . Not a nice experience at all .

Lovely meal today, came with hubby and dog lola . Starter was the soup, broccoli and potato. Gave that 10 out of 10. Had fish and chips for our mains. The batter was crispy and a bit tough, but hubby likes it like that so 9qq out of 10. Lovely pub would come again, 👌

Great Christmas Day experience with super pleasant waitress

Our first visit to the Little Owl and we had a really good time here. It's part of the Vintage Inns chain and I admit that I do like their pubs, it's also a bonus for us that we can take our dog into the bar. For the newbie it may not be obvious where it is, especially with my sat nav, but a quick stop at the Holiday Inn next door put me right. Indeed this was the only issue we we had. It was Xmas Eve lunch time and unsurprisingly busy, but there was plenty of room on the car park and we managed to get a table. No waiting at the bar either, you can't say that very often. The food did take a little bit of time to come but we couldn't fault either of our meals. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout helped in some measure by the festivities. A good drinks choice and reasonable prices, what more do you want?

I revisited recently and have to say, the food was absolutely spot on! I had a starter of sea food in a cheesey sauce (sublime!) With chips as I thought the starter wouldn't be enough as my main meal of the day. Very generous portion of both. Satisfied me for the day I can tell you. Cosy log fire added to the Satisfied feel, and led to a lovely post lunch snooze! 4 stars as it was quite quiet, but cosy. 1 very happy customer here.

A really new pub with excellent friendly staff and good food. You can't really ask for more.

The Staff were friendly and professional.Nothing seemed like too much trouble when asking them, as in our case, to order a taxi to a show at the NEC. The food was delicious and there were work Christmas Parties going on but the Staff coped very well. Would recommend "The Little Owl" to anyone in the Area visiting to check it out and you won't be disappointed.

Our favourite pub! We came here for our Xmas eve lunch. 5 of us plus our dog. Food was great and staff are amazing!! Can’t wait till we pop down there again soon

Lovely looking pub right next to the hotel. Dog friendly and staff were fine. However, the food was not great. I had a pool of pickled vinegar from my salad dressing followed by food poisoning from the chicken milanese. Nice place for a drink but would not eat here ever again. My partner had the steak pie and said it tasted like it's been microwaved. It was overpriced for what we got.

A beautiful pub in a lovely setting. The food is delicious and the staff very professional. Paula was really attentative on our last visit and we didn't wait or want for anything. would recommend to anyone who wants great food, great service at reasonable prices. Real fires also add to the ambience.

My wife and I have been using the Little Owl for a few years now and have never been disappointed with the food or the service.

Stayed in Holiday inn so popped next door for tea. Would throughly recommend. We were served by Fiona. I had belly pork and cheese board, other half went for beef and cheesecake. Both of us questioned our choices as we saw other plates being served, as they all looked delicious. Can't fault our choices though. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

4 guys from Northern Ireland staying next door in the hotel we used the pub to eat and drink in the food was fantastic, staff couldn’t do enough for us as we hadn’t booked anything I manage to get a chat with the chef brilliant guy very helpful with our menu Will be back next year for sure

Great hidden pub,relaxing atmosphere and 2 real fires,warm cosy and staff are great,dogs allowed so that's a bonus for me

Really enjoyed our Sunday evening visit. I had a child's Sunday roast, which I was pleased about. The food was OK and plentiful. Others on the table ranged from steaks to Sunday roasts - veg was still hard, which let the roast experience down and steaks was over cooked for liking. The burger was very tasty tho

Great food at good prices and efficient service

Lovely meal, portions too big for my 87 year old mom, men's loos need a freshen up, if you're paying good money needs to be a bit smarter.

Great food, good service. Must book in advance. Very easy to find and easy access from nearby hotel.

Firstly our server Paula was just fantastic, she was totally on the ball, knew the menu well and checked on us frequently. The food was superb and some changes made to the burger to suit my daughter. Really lovely evening, lovely food and we returned on the Saturday evening for another family dinner as we were there for the weekend. We have visited twice before and are never disappointed at the service and delicious food! We will be back

Disappointing. Feels like staff is doing you a favour. Have to ask for cutlery, have to get up and ask for salt and pepper things that should be on the table when you site down. No service during the meal to check on anything else needed. They could sell so much more just doing the basics right. I could have had another drink but left due to the bad service. I had a burger which was average.

We visited during lunch. The food was nice & the atmosphere was cosy with the nice fires & other patrons.

Comfortable Pub. Carpet marked in areas Food good and tasty but small portions for the money paid. Sold out of the items we wanted. No beef or turkey. Wasn't checked on "Is meal ok" so no option to ask for extra gravy.

My brothers birthday dinner!!my little sis and myself went yesterday 2nd November. The meal was truly SUPERB!!And our waitress AMY WAS OUTSTANDING!!

Fiona was our server. She is a lovely lady who couldn't do enough for us. Very pleasant with a wonderful smile. Food was plentiful, delicious and hot plates.

Beautiful beef and halloumi skewers. Service was really quick on a fairly busy evening. The waitress was really attentive but didn't catch her name.

Great little pub with gluten free options and can be flexible . Check out their app though as we got 40% of mains through it. Also Make sure u enter pub carpark and not get stuck in holiday inn one, as holiday inn will charge you, so stick to the thru road. The barrier has a coded key pad, just call the pub for the code or use the other entrance. Definitely got the feel of a country pub and great place to relax once your in there.

Nice little pub next door to Holiday Inn. It was very busy the Saturday night we dined, the tables next to us were very loud and were clearly trying to out do each other, which made it quite unpleasant not being able to speak to each other as we could not hear and gave up repeating everything every time one or us spoke. As this was our first visit to The Little Owl I can't comment if this is normal of the place or not. The Service was very slow, even when the pub started to empty out around 10pm. The food however was excellent and was well worth the wait. It was reasonably priced and the portions were good. Overall if the Pub had been quieter it would of been an enjoyable evening.

Went for late lunch so it was not busy busy but people were having a good time anyway

Gorgeous pub! We come every year after the horse of the year show. Lovely vegetarian dishes, everyone was pleased. Pheobe was lovely, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and the drinks served.

We have dinned at The little owl before and have always enjoyed the meal and service but this time we was a little disappointed we found the food to be "like my mom's when I was late home from work" hot but baked up. Although we both did eat the majority of our meal. I had to go look for our server, they didn't come over as usual and ask if everything was to our satisfaction nor was we asked if we would like a drinks refill or offered the desert menue. I had to go to the bar for our bill, and felt that we could have left without paying had we had not been honest..... The little Owl is a lovely place, quirky, local, and usually a fantastic experience but for reasons not common Sunday just didn't match to previous visits.

Not just saying it but the food AND service was amazing! Such fresh food and great portion sizes and such value for money. Staff were great and very friendly! Cant recommend enough! Our service by Phoebe was second to non a very warm and welcoming server!

Had the Sunday roast, roast pots weren't very nice, they were chewy all our table left some of their potatoes and not enough gravy.

Food was superb, atmosphere was great. Service not so much, waited 20mins to be served after our initial drinks order, then waited again after our food to be asked if we require the desert menu... Then due to us waiting that long to pay I went upto the main bar area to pay.. Need more staff !!!!!

This is the first time we have flown from Birmingham and we're booked in to the premier Inn. Prior to our stay we were informed that they were refurbishing the restaurant etc. So we booked the Little Owl. All I can say is if we fly from Birmingham again then we will most definitely dine at the Little Owl again. Good service, good food and a good atmosphere.

Lovely pub, beautifully decorated with a warm atmosphere, and it is spotlessly clean too. The food was absolutely delicious well presented hot and very tasty. The staff are very welcoming. Our server was Fiona, she was really lovely, attentive and kind, with a very friendly and professional manner. We highly recommend The Little Owl and ate here on two consecutive occasions as it was so fab.

We have been served by this waitress a few times now (Irish lady, but I do not know her name I am afraid) and she is always very friendly, officiant and professional. The food was great and the time that we waited for food was reasonable for the time of day and how busy the restaurant was.

Visited this pub while staying at the holiday inn, Friday night I couldn’t fault a thing. However on Saturday they had a staff member called Shannon working and she clearly didn’t want to be there, had a terrible attitude from the start. Will not be returning nor recommend to anyone. When the manager was approached about this he didn’t seem to care either, letting her stand behind him mouthing off. Not very professional in my opinion.

Great staff, food choice and very tasty most importantly (few had fish and chips which was very fresh, pizza tastes great and parmigiana was awesome) all round a good evening in a quiet spot, next to where we were staying

Staying at the holiday inn? Then stay there.. Do not use the little owl. "Duck" Pizza if you can really call it that,due to the lack of duck,was also extremely bland. Overpriced for such a small portion. Girl that served the food was incredibly rude,clearly needs some people skills. I will not be returning again. However the Holiday inn,we're very professional and couldn't be more caring. So stay there as others have mentioned.

All the food was lovely except the vegetables, oh my God I couldn't even cut them with my knife, I did mention this to the waitress and she said she keeps telling him they are too hard, but obviously he doesn't listen, it's such a shame as I would of been a regular customer if it wasn't for this. If elderly people were to eat here, they would not be able to chew these vegetables, I cannot stand hard veg, please cook them longer and you may get more customers.

Used the pub for 3 evenings last week while staying next door at hotel. Food absolutely great, well presented, tasty. Service was brilliant, staff friendly especially Fiona. Will certainly come back again.

Went today, 4th of August, with family. We had lovely food and excellent service. The Little Owl is a lovely old pub with a great atmosphere.

Nice pub, but what I ordered wasn't great. The prawns were overcooked and the bread for the hummus was really hard.

I have been here a few times now and can't fault the food or the service at all.
