I hired the main hall for my wife's recent 60th birthday party. We had 70 people attend, with a disco and a buffet. Communication was excellent throughout, with a timely response being received for each question. The hall was perfect for our needs, and the bar and toilet facilities were perfectly acceptable. The location means that it is still fairly private but easy to find. There was also plenty of parking available. I wouldn't hesitate in hiring this venue again. Highly recommended.

Rowheath pavilion and grounds are badly maintained in regards to keeping it litter-free and taking care of the wildlife. When something needs to be cordoned off they use plastic that is single use, they have thrown large amounts of unwanted soil onto an area of the grounds that is full of wildlife, birds and nests. There appears to be little respect for the environment.

Lovely venue although needs money spent on it urgently. Unsure as to the direction of travel the trustees are going with many successful events not repeated and some future events (anniversary) looking set to be a disaster. It could just be so much better with the right people involved.

Very poor event for the fireworks. Waiting over an hour and half for the low volume event to eventually be cancelled. Parents took their kids home without seeing the display. The firework engineers couldn't fix it.The field was a muddy mess, dark, dirty toilets, pointless and useless bag checks. It was packed with disappointed people. Never again.

I booked Rowheath Pavilion for my birthday party. This is one of my favourite places to go whether it's for a coffee, walking the dog, meeting friends or a bit of peace. My guests were between 3months and 85, some with disabilities so it was important to have a range of facilities, parking, and good disability access. My guests had an excellent day, kids were able to run around, use the play areas - all safely within sight of parents. The good weather meant we made use of both the terrace room and terrace which come together in the booking. BOOKING: There is a dedicated team, and I can't thank them enough for their speedy and clear communication, several visits and answering my list of questions. Charlie, Liv, Lynn and Becky - absolute stars. Booking process is easy and there is time to make changes. Everything discussed was provided. And you have options for catering, I chose to self-cater though I did look into hiring a catering van - I just wanted more food options. The staff have contacts if you don't know where to start on this. PREPARATION OF ROOM - allow time in your booking for setting up the room and cleaning your stuff out. Staff are great, everything was clean and room layout as requested. And they clean after - but you need to clean your stuff out. ON THE DAY: The bar was open so early guests could get a drink and relax. Lynn was there to greet us - a beaming smile and "it will all be fine" was just what I needed to hear. We used the kitchen and were left to get things ready, staff responded when asked but it was great to just get on. STAFF: The bar was well staffed, there was never more than 1 or 2 waiting to be served - I had @150 guests. Everyone said how pleasant and helpful staff were - and this is so true. Happy, smiling and good at their jobs. (I get this when I just go for a coffee too though) What can I say, an amazing day brining lots of people together in a stunning venue with idyllic grounds. The work that goes into keeping the whole venue clean, accessible and a good experience must be immense. Thank you Rowheath Pavilion - you made my day the best.

Just spent 5 minutes waiting to be served in cafe whilst a woman buttered bread directly in front of me and a young man washed up also in front of me. I wondered why neither had acknowledged my presence when I noticed a written sign saying please order at window. I said excuse me to the lady a couple of times before she looked up, I asked if that was right and she nodded Why couldn't she have told me 5 minutes before!!! Talk about bad custome service skills. Anyway didn't stay when elsewhere. ( incidentally I was greeted with a smile and good morning within 10 seconds at next cafe)
