Hunters Moon in Birmingham

Went to the Hunters Moon Hungry Horse the other night with some friends. (I used to go there back in the day when it was banging)… Went to get some drinks and was served by the awesome Jackie. She was humorous and very helpful. The food was good especially the Ginger Beer and the award-winning Steak and Ale Pie, mmm… My desert order was wrong but it was quickly rectified (excellent customer service). We took part in the Pub Quiz and had a whale of a time and were ultimately placed second. Big shout-out to the server lady in the red/burgundy shirt… I should have asked for her name, sorry about that. It was a great night, better than I expected. I’ll be back…

The staff were amazing and welcoming. Jackie who was at the bar was brilliant! They were all well presented and clean. They were all happy and you can have a laugh with them. This was the first time visiting and the atmosphere was awesome. No one in my group felt awkward. We all did the quiz and loved it! Definitely coming back. The toilet were also clean and they made sure the tables were too! The food was really good also.

Loud obnoxious people who can't handle drinking kids left to run around other people's tables and food throwing stuff. Food is so disgusting it's like everything is cooked by a teenager with no cooking skills. I asked for medium rare steak it was raw only with burned outside won what does the waiter do take it back and bring out the SAME steak just cooked again 😂 are you having a laugh? Now I have twice cooked steak that is now dry and hard on the outside and over medium on the inside ? Sweet potato fries were hard like they had been left out or over cooked.

Our darts team had a really pleasurable experience. Good beer, good service and made to feel welcome by the staff.

The pub is a lot better under new manager food is good beers not too bad my only issue is the manger letting people smoke their vaps inside the pub when I thought it was supposed to be banned as smoking

Came here today for Easter breakfast with the Easter bunny and the kids absolutely adored it and special thanks to the Easter bunny and the DJ Roger and Libby and Shane for the service today. The food was lovely and all the staff were very helpful can’t wait for the next event will definitely come back

Lovely meal, lovely atmosphere, the music is absolutely fantastic. The landlady, Pauline, is amazing and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend anyone who wants a good meal at a good price to visit here. A*****

The food was okay but the size of the food was terrible me and my family came here on a Wednesday and play a game call speedquizz but the food was really small it used to be really good be the food has started to get smaller and smaller every timeni come

First time i had visited here in about 8 years. I couldn't believe i was in the same pub it was really lovely clean and very modern inside I didn't have food but the beers were nice and the staff were very nice and polite

It was a quiet atmosphere, food was nice and the waiter was so lovely. it was a decent meal

What a lovely venue, we were welcomed by a very pleasant manager called Jordan who couldn’t do enough for us, she was able to assist me and my family in any way possible. The venue itself and the staff were amazing. Definitely a credit to the company.

The staff greeted me like I was a family member

both me and my work mate came here to have some dinner whilst staying away for work. ordered 2x fish and chips with soft drinks. place seemed like it's short on staff, we waited along time for the drinks. food came out, the chip portion sizes were pitiful, they were rock hard, with dead potato parts on the end and the inside of the chips being a dull grey/brown colour. I was hungry, so I ate my fish, didn't taste great either. my work mate couldn't eat his as it tasted off. I tried some myself and was awful. we made the complaints, which resulted in a refund and offered a drink as a goodwill gesture. won't be going there again. staff were apologetic and handled the situation well. Both me and my work colleague now have upset belly's.

Popped in for a late lunch with my husband. Ordered the gammon and chips and it was lovely. Big portions and very filling. The staff were very polite. Will definitely return

Came in to the hunters moon and was served by Jordan, she was efficient and so friendly to us. Great service. We will be back Sunday again to see her as she was so good.

To start off with, the food is amazing and served pretty quick I would definitely recommend if you are planning for a meal with family or even friends. The service is very good, all staff are absolutely wonderful people without a doubt and definitely meet the standards of great customer service. Absolutely recommend coming here on a Friday or Saturday too, purely because they plan discos which are great for ice breakers if you ask me, choice of music and the atmosphere as a whole are just amazing!

Good food, though some slight overcooking on the mixed grill. Got my Fiancee's order wrong and accidently gave her gluten free when she only had a nut allergy, but quickly corrected the issue! Service was good and the atmosphere was great! Kitchen may have simply had an off day and highly recommend!

Went for breakfast.me and the wife had a very good breakfast with tea and coffee the 3 kids had burger meals and soft drinks there food was brilliant and the lady who sore to our every need was so lovely and was OK with my dad jokes she was so nice her name was Jordan I'd come every day if I could the service was wonderful thanks Jordan..

I visited the hungry horse for food today and was really impressed with the service and food.. I had a Sunday dinner duo meat which is both beef and turkey.. the meal alone was big with mixture veg roast Yorkshire pud stuffing and gravy, I added some pigs in blankets too which were delicious 😋. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Lovely place to come. We only came for drinks, but the lady on the bar Louise is amazing her service is great and she knows how to have a laugh and keep the customers happy 10/10 service from her!

Jackie, ange and teri are all great members of staff, which make the experience 5* the food we’ve had a few issues with, but always room for improvement.

We came as a family for a Sunday afternoon drink, warm and welcoming pub with a bright vibe. Will be returning.

Came in for the football with the family, sat in the main bar, it was busy, with the member of staff always smiling and having laugh. Will be returning.

Previous reviews 5 star loved this place tonight well never come again Ignore no beer on tap if you like beer the food was ok but the 40 minute wait for pudd was a bit off. And when we went to follow up at the bar the overt aggressiveness of the kitchen staff was an escalation beyond belief I didn’t tell our table what I went through so as not to spoil the 79 birthday but it was obscene how quickly it turned from our wait for pudding to my genuine enquiry being in some way triggering to the kitchen staff.

Excellent service, always friendly staff.

Family meal of 16 , roast dinners cold , fish batter over done , burger well done no taste . We complained and manager gave us all a free drink and pudding . Won’t be returning here .
