My friend and I popped in here last night for some food. The place looked like a bomb had hit it. I saw 3 staff on and it had the feel of having been a very busy day and short staffed. Tables hadnt been cleared or cleaned. Ours was sticky. My mate had a rump steak and pint of coors. The steak was tough and was more likly stewing steak. Asked for rare and was more medium. We were told 40 mins and it to 50 for his to come. I ordered the southern fried chicken sizzler with sweet potato fries and colesaw. Mine arrived about 15 minutes later and clearly had been sitting waiting. No sizzle. The peppers were glued to the dish and chicken had burnt bits and was going dry. Most of the chicken was ok and the sweet pots were good. Colesaw was ok. My coke had gone flat. All for 34 quid. I put it down to a tough day for the team but wont be returning im afraid.

Hunters moon is a great place to go and eat food in a comfortable atmosphere with great, polite staff. The bartender, Tom, was extremely polite and the customer service is outstanding. Food is lovely. Place is also nice and clean

First time in the hunters moon since the late 80s (yes the 1980s) and we were not disappointed. We stopped for a quick lunch after shopping in Castle Vale and just thought why not? Anyway, the barmaid/person was excellent, with great knowledge and chatted about the food and drinks. We ordered a few drinks and sat down to order food. The food was tasty, hot and arrived in good time. The portions were great (I'm a big guy and I struggled with my burger fries and steak combo) but I managed to finish it. Thanks all, we will be back.....!

I recently visited Hunter's Moon Sports Pub in Birmingham on Saturday, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively. The Manager Pauline was very helpful in recommending dishes and made us feel very welcome. The Hunter's Moon is a great spot to catch a game with friends. I’ll definitely be back for more exciting match days!

I had to create an account just to write this because I am absolutely disgusted with how some customers treated the staff last night at Hunter's Moon Birmingham. It's a disgrace! However, I cannot stress enough how AMAZING the staff were under such horrible circumstances. Jackie (if I remember her name correctly) was fantastic, as were Tom and Glen. They all went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service in such a toxic environment. Despite the great effort from the staff, I won't be returning because the overall atmosphere was just awful. But I have to say, the staff on duty deserve a huge pay rise for keeping things together and being so professional. First time visiting, and unfortunately, it's also the last. A massive thank you to the staff for their hard work!

Came in for some dinner after a long day shopping. The restaurant was very busy and seemed to have a few large tables in. Was told there was going to be a little bit of a wait which we were fine with. Food came out after a short wait but was absolutely beautiful. We had 2 steak sizzlers and a gammon with extra eggs. Thank you to the chef or chefs that prepared the food only issue was a table near us were giving some of your staff abuse swearing at them and not being very polite at all But on the whole a really lovely visit

Came with my family today, staff were great and very welcoming! Food (sunday dinner with turkey) arrived in good time and was delicious and great value for money will definitely be visiting again soon and recommending to family and friends.

Been using this place for years but the past 4 times have been a disaster! People waiting 2 hours for food,puddings coming out before mains,not value for money and food is average. Sunday lunches are ok if you have them as a starter! Wouldn't recommend this place at all!

Came in today for Sunday dinner with my family. Great atmosphere, food was amazing & not too long a wait considering how busy they were. Staff couldn’t do enough. Will be back soon

Honestly the most shocking visit I have ever had. Poor Jackie absolutely ran off her feet, not enough staff at all! Jackie was absolutely amazing, very friendly and efficient. Went above and beyond while irritated customers were left for her to deal with. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the kitchen staff, we waited just over an hour for our food then they come out with a Few food items missing off 3 out of 4 meals, which came out as 2 meals. Followed by another 5min later. Which this time has fridge cold corn on the side. Another 5min for the next meal. Management really need to sort out the staff ratios. It's not fair on the few that are there to be ran absolutely off their feet and deal with irritated customers. Just not on at all. There was also another very helpful man with glasses, unsure of his name but he helped out as best as he could with the food issue. Just not on at all, seriously can't believe I was given corn straight out the fridge. Keep up the hard work Jackie. Your doing amazing.

Came in with family for some food and can’t rate it enough. Staff were friendly and it felt very welcoming. Kids loved the children’s pasta meal and the candy mania dessert! Steak was cooked perfectly, would absolutely recommend!

Muted tv on some of the walls, usually football or cricket. Staff very friendly and helpful. Varied menu and choice of drinks. Look out for the daily specials.

We usually go here. Went last night for a steak worse meal I've ever had here had to wait ages for food not very warm steak was tough they forgot the sauce we ordered had to ask. They couldn't remember what peas I wanted. Nobody asked how food was this place has gone down meal size has got less. Very disappointed.

Had a waffles benedict for breakfast it was amazing the staff were lovely and friendly as well.

We visit the hunters moon regularly and we find the staff are always friendly, helpful and polite, and food enjoyable,today we was served by keiren and he was very professional and made our visit welcoming Thankyou to the hunters moon staff

Food was fine. Adults food was warm. Kids too hot. Just didn't bring our toddlers meal out. They hadn't made it. Told us it wasn't ordered. It was on the receipt. No apology. Toddler had to wait while they made it and we had our meals already on the table. Ordered dessert. Took payment then told us they didn't have one of them. Cutlery brought to the table was dirty. 2 massive spoons for 2 small children's ice creams. Service was very half bothered. Have been here before a couple of times and it was good. Don't think we will bother again now though if this is what to expect. Also maybe move the bright lights gambling machine out of the dining room if you dont want kids being curious.

Visited the Hunters Moon for a lunch stop over during my travel - the service was so friendly and speedy. Food and drink was tasty and good value for money.

The food was great, I have a complex food allergy, which they were incredibly mindful of. The chef checked all the ingredients and adapted a meal safe for me. Thank you. But a meal for 5 took over 2 hours due to insufficient staffing. They easily had the turnover that evening to hire someone else. You also have to validate your parking, but the machine on entrance is broken, so you have to go into the 'children not allowed section' to validate. There is, however, no sign informing you of this, and the staff are too busy to help. With functioning equipment and full staffing, it would have been a wonderful evening.

I’m a regular! Always a pleasure, great food, drinks and lovely atmosphere. I’d recommend the fish & chips, traditional pub food and the best!!! See you next week!

Went for a meal here with the family, having tried quite a few venues over the years, we always come back to this place. Portion size is good and you leave feeling full.

Food was good for the price and came out timely. Staff were pleasant. It's a bit weathered and gloomy but enjoyed the visit.

Absolutely fantastic experience at The Hunter's Moon Pub in Birmingham! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcoming from staff. The general manager (Pauline) was incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. The ambiance was cozy yet lively, perfect for a evening out with friends. We particularly enjoyed the selection of local ales and craft beers. Overall, The Hunter's Moon exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal and a wonderful time in Birmingham!

My wife and I loved going here on Wednesdays for curry night. However, they have changed the menu for cheap options but with a price increase. They no longer do the lamb rogan josh or the beef madras, the options now are a couple of chicken dishes, a mince and a chickpea dish. None are particularly appetising. It's a shame as we've been visiting there for years, Ang did her best to accommodate us, but we probably won't be visiting again. Paul.

Food was vile,pot of gravy set and cold in pot,forgot to put in microwave,mashed potatoes were grey hard n crispy,peas cold dried n up ,sent it back,"fresh" meal brought to replace it,only difference the gravy pot was hot....so after waiting 45minutes for first meal,another 10 minutes for replacement, which wasnt any better except for gravy being warmed up,sent it back n got my money back,wasnt just my meal,my daughters meal was same,twice too,cannot believe they would send food out that bad,over an hour wasted for food that could not be eaten !!!

Great pub, friendly staff and incredible food. Just had the new falafel wraps off the let's do lunch menu and they were BEAUTIFUL!! Highly recommend

I went here for some food with my daughter , wife and her friend the food is decent . So i come quite regularly Spent about 60 pound which isn't bad for 4 people . Only to have a letter come through the post for a £170 parking fine even though I put my cars reg in the machine like I always do . I can't fight it apparently. I think this is disgusting when u spend money . To get this stupid amount of a parking fine . I won't be going here again they have now lost my custom . Over some bully parking company .

Waited an hour for food, couldn't wait any longer as I had arrangements, so had to get a refund.

For pub food, I was impressed with the steak and ale pie which was a nice size portion with excellent flavours and chunky meat pieces. The gravy was lovely. The fish and chips was good ..fish was cooked perfectly. The only complaint was the cocktail I had...wasn't every nice. And they ran out of specific good beers when we went there.

Great place for a lunchtime meal. Food is really nicely cooked and presented. The staff are absolutely cracking. Cant fault them and they add to the experience. Try the menu and be pleasantly surprised . Very good prices and great value.
