The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

This is our 3rd visit to the Kings Head, and certainly won’t be the last, the staff are very friendly, and the food is amazing, had the nachos for starters, and steak for mains, onsite parking as well, so if your looking for somewhere to stay in Warwick, look no further, book the Kings Head

Wonderful cafe with friendly welcoming staff. Coffee was excellent and the homemade cakes superb definitely worth a visit 👍

ON the 3/1/2020 visited this hotel for a birthday meal Step 1 - visit to conservatory for pre-evening meal drink - suprisingly no Vodka no Guiness (draught) although the pump was there- and only 2 beers on draught and had to search for someone to serve us Step 2 - Meal in Priory - Waiter was excellent nothing too much trouble - professional friendly and charming step 3 - Food - quite a limited menu but when we ordered a sirloin steak - none available - given a fillet instead and although asked for it 'pink' was well done (yuk) the rest of us had lamb (noticed that there were loads in the fields on the way there from the West Country) Lamb Shank fine all round - although the veg was cold and the presentation from the kitchen was a bit grim - just ate the lamb! Waiter v v apologetic really felt for him as he could see all was not well - again dealt with professionally and charmingly Think chef may have been off and work experience person in the Kitchen:-) The staff - reception and waiting staff were great and |I feel were let down by the lack of food and indeed vodka so maybe could all be managed better so staff are not let down - saying all this we had a great evening and enjoyed looking round the building can only say - come on the management of this hotel and back up your staff who are a credit to you by ensuring the food on the menu is avaible - cooked and presented well - served on hot plates where appropriate and is hot (also where appropriate

Costa Coffee at henley in arden. i visiting daily for 4 years now. u can park on the road next to Costa or opposite for 2hrs free. i don't drink coffe, but my colleague does a they like it. staff is friendly. thank you

Given up ,no longer go into the conservatory due to the debacle that is ordering/leaving dog tied up !!! Decided whilst waiting for shop to open I would get a coffee from the pantry (as I had my dog with me )stood at door ,requested oat decaf cappuccino “ we don’t do oat milk” was the response Really !!! it’s all a joke now ,what’s happened to what was once a very special place to enjoy quality food and hospitality ?I have given up now.

Great evening. Food was delicious - the staff were wonderful. Obviously very well trained and very professional. Drinks arrived quickly - waitress was charming and the whole atmosphere was very friendly. On top of that, the meal was excellent.

We waited an hour for 3 meals and one was wrong. Every time we go in there the waiting time is ridiculous and you can hear people complaining. My advice to the owner do not take orders without making it clear your waiting time. We would only go back for a drink as you dont have to wait and your less likely to get the order wrong.

I attended with my daughter, her boyfriend and friends. The manager was DJing, I requested some tunes a couple of times. He didn’t take lightly to this. As a result he barred me Peggy Mitchell style! 😂

We stayed at the hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. We had checked out the menu before going to the restaurant and made our choices. When we were seated we were offered a much smaller menu for those staying on a D, B&B basis. We were disappointed but I ordered the haddock fish cakes. When our food arrived the waiter brought main menu Haddock and chips. I told them that we were on the other menu and she took the haddock away. She came back to tell me I'd have to wait for the fishcakes. I said that if the haddock would be binned that I'd eat it instead of it being wasted. Bad move. The chips were luke warm and the mushy peas were cold. Other diners waited ages for their food, and we overheard the waiters apologising to at least two other dinners because of cold food. We could hear obvious frustration from the kitchen. Shame. The waiting staff were very good though.and hot mushy peas were provided but this restaurant is distinctly average.

Went a few months back for some drinks after going to the cinema. We all sat outside because it was lovely weather, much like the service! So many drinks to choose from, we struggled to make up our minds we wanted to try so much. I had a fruity cider, and it was really nice. Chap on the bar was lovely, saw some girls working making sure everywhere was clean and tidy so they definitely care about making sure the place is in good shape. Definitely would go again

This was the warm and friendly moment, and we were charmed - by the atmosphere, the staff, and the honesty of the welcome we received. We stayed on … and will stay again, longer, soon. Not mod, thank God. Great ale, by the way, and lovely cider.

Everyone is friendly such a good pub very walm and welcoming. Not to expensive for the drinks.good pool table. It has a good dart board. You can play skittles here if you want

One of the best warm sausage rolls I have ever had! And I can make excellent sausage rolls. Lovely display of pies and pastries, friendly staff, seating outside. I am a visitor to Hereford and wished I lived closer. Excellent!

So an amazing Sunday lunch , beef so good and Yorkshire sublime, but was super nice the great service from the very young waitresses they had confidence and great customer service skills and really genuine really made a difference.
