A great spot to stop, convenient if on a narrow boat. Very nice food and a dog friendly garden. We really enjoyed our meal and were made to feel welcome.

Popped in on a rainy day for a couple of pints and to watch the rugby. Really nice pub with friendly atmosphere, well decorated and clean. Good range of beers ....dartboard, pool table . A proper pub in these changing times.

The website clearly says that they serve food until 6pm on a Sunday, we arrived at 5,20 and was told "kitchens closed" very abruptly and quite rude, The rear garden looked like it was full of travelers anyway so I'd avoid thus place to be honest.

After cancelling our meal the previous afternoon at a local pub, we decided to try the Crown, but not wishing to have another disappointment, we nipped in at lunch, we asked about eating and after going to check we were told we could have a burger but none of the meats on the grill. We said we understood dinner servings were coming to an end, but being impressed with the overall look of the place we would come back after 4, for the evening meals. On our return and after studying the menus provided we chose surf and turf, and the gammon and egg, the friendly girl behind the bar had to ask me what surf and turf consisted of and when I told her she said we couldn't have any meats off the grill I. e half the menu and no fish! As we were starving by now we settled for the scampi and chips ( which came over cooked ) when we questioned who we we presumed to be in charge, he said they didn't do the fish because there was a fish and chip shop across the road? and there were no steaks because he had sold a lot the night before and his next batch hadn't thawed out yet, two of the most pathetic excuses ever uttered!. Such a shame as the actual pub, cleanliness and drinks etc were excellent.

Bad service from management behind the bar no hand sanitizer no distance in pub poor service and management rude.

An easy-go pub with a local crowd, average TV on offer and typical beers and ales. Toilets are OK. Very good car-parking provision.

Me and my work friends ordered food from the christmas menu from The Crown and none of us were dissapointed!! The food was delicious, beautifully served and came out hot! I loved the yorkshire pudding starter and thought it was such a good idea, as I am not normally a starter person but who can say no to a yorkshire pudding with pigs in blankets inside - BEAUTIFUL!! Would highly recommend!

We ended up at the Crown after finding the chain pub we were heading for was closed for refurbishment. This turned out to be a blessing! The three of us chose two-course lunches and soft drinks and the bill came to less than £25. The service was impeccable throughout and the food was hot and tasty. My gammon, egg and chips was far better than a similar offering I had at a well-known chain pub recently, with crispy chips and a runny but fully-cooked egg. The garden was a pleasant place to eat on a quiet weekday afternoon. We will be coming back.

I called in here with my wife for a mid week meal. The pub was quite so there was plenty of seating. The eating areas are warm and clean, service quick and friendly. The menu has plenty and choice and the meals are well priced. We both enjoyed what we had and would certainly return in the future.

Because I was so excited about going to that Newbold Crown the previous meal we had was really nice. But today we were so disappointed and we will never go there again the reasons for this I went to the bar and ordered our meals I was asked would you like white or brown bread go with your steak sandwich I replied brown please, would you like fries, yes I replied the other order was a cheese toaster, and two black coffees, after I had paid she said you go and sit down and I will bring the coffees over. I also asked her are the tables numbered? Coz I would have to go and check, she said no there not but when I got to my table I found there was a number it was 1. We sat there for awhile and I had to get her attention because she had forgot to bring our coffees she made a joke of saying oh I’m sorry about that I can have one also now then. By this time our conference in her had been deflated. When our meals arrived I was disgusted to find that the salad that should of been on the plate was in side my sandwich and it was on white bread the toaster was on brown mine should of been brown. The salad looked like it was leftover from the weekend it was brown in places as you will see in the pictures. When she came to take the plates away she said oh your still eating? We both said no were finished and I told her about the salad she said I will tell chef? She came back and said would you like two coffees? We both said no we will have our sweet we have ordered. I was asked would I like ice cream, cream or custard on my sweet, I said I ice cream on mine and custard on the other. When they arrived mine had cream on so I asked I did say ice cream she said oh that’s how they always come as, why ask me then, I didn’t think it would of been a problem as they have to make it there and then. We were not impressed with the lady who served us and have since found out she is the landlady. We will never go to this pub again.

Now run by the ex Landlord of the Avon Mill that has an uncertain future due to proposed road works.This Pub/restaurant is a bit posher than the old Mill but the food is just as good as Mack (The Landlord) took his staff with him.Also has a Bar for a pint or two and nice garden back and front in the Summer.We will be going again

Any two meals for £8.00 good choice and generous portions good service very clean and warm environment then if you have room a choice of sweets 2 for 1 once again very generous portions.

Four of us. We had 2 steak pies, chicken and fish and chips all served hot, well cooked, tasty and decent sized portions. 4 meals for £16 on the 2 meals for £8 deal. Lady who served us was friendly and helpful and the landlord (I assume) wished us goodbye on leaving. I drank squash but my friends were happy with the beers they ordered.

Always go to this place when I fancy a couple of pints with the children (they on soft drinks of course). Always been welcome. Prices ok. Food ok for the kids to keep them quiet. Good the watching sports on tv.

We booked a table for 9 on a Sunday evening on the last day of our holiday on the nearby canal. There was a mix up as they don't really do food on a Sunday evening, they couldn't get hold of us so the landlord looked after us very well and arranged for a chef to come in to do food for us. The food was average pub grub and the portions good. The pub was very noisy round the front but quieter at the back. We even got some cake for free after our meal. Thanks for looking after us. We would have been stuck if he hadn't, because the other pub in the village also does not serve food on a Sunday evening.

We have often driven passed this pub but never had time to go in, We are glad to say We have now been in and had a coffee. The pub is nice and clean, friendly staff. We will go back and have a meal.

Precioso lugar para visitar en cualquier momento. Limpio, elegante y cómodo en el interior. Personal amable y servicial. Excelente comida en todas las ocasiones que he visitado. Hoy pedí el bocadillo entre semana y una oferta de bebida (hoy era sábado) me dijeron que la cocina estaba cerrada para una boda y la oferta no estaba disponible... Pero el servidor encantador registramos con la cocina y no la oferta de todos modos para mí! Realmente disfrutamos de la música, el ambiente, bocata rápido y charlar con el personal. Gran lugar. No ir!

Estado de la Corona antes y tuvimos una gran comida. Última comida noche Revisited fue bueno pero decepcionado con la elección de desierto, ya que no soy un amante del chocolate y todo pero uno (que no tirimisu soy un amante de o helados eran de Chocolate de algún tipo, así que ten cuidado. Su bien si te gusta el Chocolate.

Shared a whitebait to start, the boy had Pie, chips and gravy (he's Northern) and I had a chicken Caesar salad. For the price it was lovely. Good quality pub grub. Best Caesar salad I've had in ages.

At £6.45 for two courses this was value for money. The portions were generous and and full of flavour. Why eat at home when you can get this sort of quality without lifting a finger.

Sunday roast was great, home cooked food thumbs up, only one disappointing factor the wait for food to arrive. So if you don't in waiting a must try.

We've eaten here a few times. Food is always good and plenty of it. There is always some homemade food on offer. Very good value.

I visited this pub on a Sunday evening in the first instance because there are very few pubs that serve Sunday lunches in the evening, which suits me when I return from my volunteering jobs. I opted for the Lamb Roast in the medium size, which would be most adequate for all but a very large appetite. It comes with four vegetables, roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding & is excellently presented.

We eat here on a reasonably regular basis as a group. the food is always good and the price is very reasonable. Service can be slow but it's well worth the wait. You won't be disappointed!

I meet up with friends and family in this pub about 5 sundays a year (I live in Sussex, family live around Warwickshire). The food is very good and cooked beautifully, proper meat not that awful processed stuff. You get about 4 or 5 veg all tender, not overcooked and not crunchy (can't stand crunchy veg) Roasties plus mash all good too.Service and staff very good too.Even on a busy Sunday the food is served in an acceptable time. At about £7 for a medium lamb roast it's excellent value (the same meal would cost around £12 in Sussex!)
