A very pleasant atmosphere with comfortably spaced tables and nice decor. The staff were lovely and service was good. We asked if we could move somewhere else when our time was up and we were shown to a nice area where we continued to order drinks and chat. The food was good, my husband thought his roast beef dinner wasn't hot enough but the beef was beautifully tender. My sea bass was nice enough over vegetables but it was dry, could have done with a sauce of some sort. We would definitely come again.

Excellent place to meet up. Good service and fair priced quality food, especially the 2 for 1 deal. I believe the Royal Oak Brandon is the best in the area, for the reason's mentioned.

Popped in for dinner on Friday night while away on holiday in Coventry. The pub was packed and we didn't have a booking but the waitress managed to find us a table for 4 people. We all had lasagna, both meat and vegetable. It was absolutely delicious. So many flavours and clearly homemade with care. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The pub is warm and cosy with a nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed our visit here!!!!

Good food with good service at a good price

Fairly lively little place for a Sunday breakfast. Great sausages, and extra special hash browns. Personally I fail to understand why many places like this only serve half a tomato, as not the most expensive item on the plate, why not give all of it to match 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs!

Excellent as usual great value for money.

Service Good. I’ve withheld a Star on my score because my niece had what is normally her favourite Peppered Chicken and she said that the Sauce was not as nice as it normally is. The sauce was rather watery and it didn’t taste very peppery. She told me this when we were travelling home - I did tell her she should have complained at the time in the restaurant. She said she wouldn’t have it again as she was disappointed. Her partners meal and my meal were very nice. The 2-4-1 Offer is still a great deal - in fact The Royal Oaks 2-4-1 deal is the best value for money in the whole of Coventry and the surrounding areas.

Stopped for dinner while passing through from London to Blackpool. Excellent food, great service & puppy loved the treats.

This is my favourite pub restaurant to visit, the staff are always helpful, warm and friendly. The food is always excellent and also reasonably priced. There is always a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. I cannot recommend this establishment enough.

Had Sunday roast. Beef had lots of fat on. Not many vegetables but lovely big Yorkshire pudding !

Service excellent, food very good no complaints will certainly go again.

Good food pub. Very big range of food both for starters and mains, prices very reasonable, portions good size. If you like a desert, then consider not having a starter as you may not have enough room for the desert. Can recommend the "oak" chicken (vairiation on hunters chicken) and the pepper chicken. For a sweet go for the sherry trifle... they are not kidding with the sherry.

Attended here with the family for my son’s birthday and could not have asked for a better day. Service was excellent, food was tremendous and nothing was too much trouble for them all the way through. Thank you for making my sons birthday meal as good as it could have been

Had a lovely Saturday lunch here. My beef pie was scrumptious. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 menu. Four large soft drinks and four quality meals in a lovely environment for £40! I would recommend booking as it gets really busy.

A nice place . The food is good, and the prices are fair , however the place does get busy, especially on a Friday and Saturday so a booking is a good idea expect to pay about £45 for a two course meal for two including a bottle of wine

Excellent food and service as always!!! This time we had the Sunday roast, one of each option as there were 3 of us, and all were delicious.

A wonderful evening with family. Staff were wonderful - helpful, professional and friendly whilst providing a quick & attentive service. The food was lush and for a large table, we were served promptly and food arrived hot. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend - my first visit but not my last!

This is one of those places I've driven past a hundred times and finally went in for lunch today. It's as good as all the reviewers say and I'm going to make it a regular thing. 😋

A hidden little gem of a pub. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection. Slight mix up with the bill and the deal that was on that evening, but quickly sorted and very friendly and apologetic for doing so.

Despite living nearby for years this was the first time visiting. The menu choices were really good, the food was awesome and the staff very friendly. It was fairly quiet when we went mid afternoon so can't comment on the atmosphere generally. It was reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend.

Great food, good prices and really good service from everyone, the staff work as a real team.

Been dining at the Royal Oak for several years however recently we have had two very bad experiences, I asked to speak to the manager but no manager was available so we had to leave unhappy. I have emailed asking to have a call back from a manager and none was forthcoming hence the negative review here. The service has dropped off a cliff, it seems they have a very high turnover of young staff and no-one really cares about the customer experience now, so unfortunately we won't be returning, such a shame as we have taken friends and family and recommended to others, not any longer and no longer recommend, they seem to be a victim of their own success...

Lovely pub by the rail track. Ample parking though we walked from a nearby hotel. Stopped one evening for a drink and returned lunchtime next day. 2 for 1 menu with loads of choice. Day before we saw the menu but lucky to get seated as very busy. Staff well dressed, polite and accommodating. Very good service. Less than £30 for two good meals and two alcoholic drinks. If passing would definitely return.

Salmon salad ... bowl of small salad leaves and two tiny bits of tomato (the stalk bit). No onion, pepper or anything else I expected to find in a salad. Wouldn't recommend for the price. Husband had moules and said it was fine, avoid the salad, not worth the cost.

Lovely pub . Very friendly staff . 241 meal deals lunch times are great . Opens at 8am - 11am for breakfast . Dog friendly . Outside seating . Probably need to book at weekends if you want to eat inside. Gets very busy . Highly recommend.

Visited for a work team lunch on a Monday afternoon. The menu is great, loads of options. We all had something different and everyone (party of 6) really enjoyed our meals. We all felt the quality and quantity was great value. The pub itself feels lovely, it feels like a nice cosy country pub. The staff were great - got us seated quickly and the service was perfect the whole time we were there. Plenty of parking available.

Excellent customer service. The food was lovely and brought out within good time of ordering. Staff are attentive and approachable. We are returning in the near future for a very special celebration.

Nice meal good service , the atmosphere is great it was very busy but everyone was served quickly and with a smile from the very efficient staff. Was a great dining experience and will definitely be back. The fish and chips were amazing.

We came for drinks which was really nice in the garden but the smell of the food convinced us to eat for the first time here in years and I can’t praise it enough. The service was excellent and the food was beautifully cooked, well presented and hot. I can’t praise this pub enough considering the flood problem over the past year. Well done!

Really good service food was good and very reasonably priced enjoyable lunch

Unfortunately we were really disappointed by our meal at The Royal Oak. The staff were very nice, however we had to wait until 8:45 for mains which we had ordered upon arrival at 7PM. We did go in to enquire after an hour and a half, so believe we may have been forgotten. We had hoped to get a coffee or dessert to finish, however there was no time for this by the time we had eaten. The chicken and leek pie was nice, however we found the mixed grill to be quite small (especially for the price) and our loaded fries were completely soggy, as they had been covered in a very wet and garlicky sauce that was not advertised on the menu. The portion of this was also a little disappointing! Starters were nice, however for every meal we had to specifically ask for cutlery, which also made us feel quite forgotten. I emailed after the meal hoping for a little resolution (even just an acknowledgement!) so as to not leave a review, however did not get any response. We probably would not come back or recommend this restaurant to others.

A big thank you to the Royal Oak for being accommodating when we had to change our booking from 5 to 4 diners and seating us at a big table so that our 5th member could join us for a drink after the meal Well cooked meal at a good price (2for1) with good service from friendly staff Highly recommend

Wholesome food at a wholesome price!

Everyone had a great meal and the service was good. Even though they were very busy didn't have to wait too long for our meal and all 6 meals were perfect. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

What a lovely pub ! We visit here regularly and I just wanted to spread the word of how good it really is. Whether you want to sit outside and enjoy a drink or sit inside in their newly refurbished restaurant for a wonderful meal, you’ll not be disappointed. The staff are always friendly, lovely service and the 2-1 Surf & Turf is excellent !! If I could I’d move house to Brandon so I could use the pub more often 🥂

Amazing experience in Royal Oak, we actually visited twice in one day. We've started with breakfast in the morning, must have been one of the best ones I have ever had. Freshly baked bun, fresh and crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes, absolutely spot on! In the evening we have enjoyed dinner and bottle of wine. Again everything was cooked to perfection. Staff was very friendly and polite and looked after us properly. Place itself is gorgeous and has an amazing atmosphere. Short drive from Coventry, huge car park outside , you can also enjoy beer garden outside if your lucky enough to find a spot, as place is very busy. But with this kind of service and food it's understandable!! Can't wait to visit again

The staff were the jewel in the crown for this place. Knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. They knew it was our first time and made sure we understood how things were organised. Food was brilliant and a good price too.

Stopped in hotel room for night good value rooms a little outdated and very noisy as floor boards in other rooms creaked none stop lovely pub and gardens

The food was lovely, as usual. We had an incident whereby one of our guests fell down the step into the gents toilets. One of the staff kindly helped to get him up off the floor and came to make sure his wife was OK.

We go here regularly, and the food is always superb, the service is fast even when busy and the staff are always lovely. Love the crumbles!!!

Had a really good pub curry served by really friendly staff. Big car park and lots of tables inside and out though appeared to be very popular as it filled out really quickly.

Lovely food, great service and value for money

The breakfast here is INCREDIBLE. The pancakes are to die for, and fantastic value for money. It might look a bit pricey to begin with, but you won't want to eat for the rest of the day. Love the pastries that are made on site too, but the stars are the proper breakfasts.

Great food at a very reasonable price.

An ok pub . Did not see a vast rate of different beers. But the beers we had where I’ve got to quality.. would go there again for a beer if passing, but would not go out of my way to go there. Was very quiet in the pub but that might have just been the time of day and the time of year we went.

Came with family, the table was set for 8 people but there was 11 of us, so we sorted that ourselfs. When the food came it was almost thrown on the table by the young lad. 3 of the peppered chickens were stone cold, not even luke warm so had to be sent back, there was no apology from the young lady who bought them back out within less than 5mins, so obviously dinged in the microwave, which is a little scary! The roast dinner was nice, though i ordered a side of cauliflower cheese, which was covered in a white sauce and nothing cheesey about it at all. Lovely pub, lovely decor and i know theyv had flooding issues which is a shame. But you need to get your service sorted. I was dissapointed it was mainly same old menu, bit gutted there was no ploughmans on there that used to be delicious. I will go back again but not anytime soon although i do live local.

A great comeback after the floods this year

A lovely country pub with surprisingly good food! My wife and I came here for the first time 14/05/2024. We were seated around 18:30 but by 19:30 virtually every table was filled and it was a Tuesday, so book ahead! The decoration is classy - rustic barrels, contemporary pictures, classic pub tables and carpet. A really nice feel and atmosphere with some quirks like the glass topped well. We had nachos to start and they seemed home-made. Big tortilla chunks with flavoursome sauce. We added the "crispy chicken" but it wasn't crispy. The sauce was also quite spicy it we enjoyed it. For main I had lasagne. It was very flavoursome. I had it with chips and salad which were hoth lovely. Might have been nice to have a littke chunk of garlic bread, and I never understand raw red onion in a salad as that's all you taste after, but it was lovely! The staff were attentive and friendly for the most part. They kind of forgot about us towards the end when it got really busy but it was super easy to flag someone down for pudding. Overall we had a great time and will likely go back again.

Met up with some friends for breakfast. Friendly welcome from the staff. A great selection of drinks and food for breakfast. Quick service and the drinks and food came out quickly. The drinks were lovely, especially the smoothies, very refreshing and tasty. The food was also high quality and delicious. The pub has recently re-opened and been decorated, they have done a great job. Thanks to everyone at the Royal Oak for a wonderful breakfast 😊

Good food improved the 2 4 1 menu with more options, also since the relaunch after multiple floods. Do various deals of the day. One downside the salad with the scampi was bland mainly leaves no onion or cucumber like before and had no dressing like before.

This is a gorgeous pub/restaurant. Only a few minutes out of Coventry and has a really lovely atmosphere! Staff are really friendly and attentive. Food is delicious and good portion sizes! Have had many family get together here and will continue to do so!

My fella wanted to come here but I was reluctant because of the reviews! I’m so glad we came, the Sunday lunch (we shared beef and pork ) was bloody lovely and the service was fantastic! Couldn’t do enough for us even brought out another jug of gravy without any fuss! Reasonably priced as-well! Garden was great and a bonus to sit in a lovely garden for a drink after! Highly recommended.

First visit since renovations had to be made due to severe flooding. Breakfast menu is a brand new addition and it went down a treat ! The food was delicious and just as good as it used to be. This is a great village pub and it’s so lovely to see it back up and running 🤩

I went here with my wife to celebrate my birthday and to support this establishment which had been devastated by the winter floods and had recently reopened after being refurbished.We were welcomed by the lovely staff who were very attentive and efficient. Our starters and main course were excellent and freshly cooked to perfection.We took advantage of the two for one main course and were extremely pleased with the bill which was excellent value.We will definitely be going back soon and plan to do so regularly.

We have eaten here many times in the past and were happy to find that they had re-opened recently. Everywhere looked smart and we had excellent food brought to us by pleasant staff. Unbeatable value for money, we will be returning soon.

Have been going to the Royal Oak for years ,and have always had great service. The food is cooked to a very high standard and we always have the 2 4 1 so it's a very reasonable price.

After a last minute change of plans it was great that the Royal Oak could fit in a group of 14. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. The menu is varied with lots to chose from. The staff informed us that the wait maybe a little longer than normal due to the size of the party and the last minute booking. However as a group we felt the waiting time was more than acceptable and if anything surprisingly quick, all things considered. However the starters was disappointing. Paying £6.50 for three callimari rings is unacceptable and a joke. I understand sea food isn't the cheapest of foods, but paying over £2.16 per ring is a rip off. The staff did discount the bill and acknowledged the small portions but only after being challenged. meaning they was originally more than happy to charge us the full price knowing it was substandard. The rest of the meal was lovely, with everyone clearing there plates. In essence we all said we would eat here again. The Royal Oak catered for a large group at very short notice and on the whole it was very nice. Just watch the portion sizes

We booked very last minute and the staff were really accommodating and so lovely and friendly. We had a steak sharer and it was great, we really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

We came here with my mum for lunch, we ate off the 241 menu and expected the portions to be small but we were genuinely surprised when they came out. All the food was tasty and hot. The staff were very friendly and smiley which I love, in lots of eateries the waiting staff do not smile very much. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

What was a delightful country pub is now a restaurant really. Great shame. Having said that the food is ok.

Had a great Christmas lunch, but the draught beer was not so good.
