Came here for a works Christmas meal. Food was served quickly, every dish was well presented and exceeded expectations in terms of quality. Would say that it was money well spent and I have spent time recommending the place to anyone who will listen.

Visitors the Royal Oak for a work Christmas meal. We pre-booked and paid for food, which worked extremely well. The service was speedy, considering the large number of guests. We had a lovely evening for our Christmas team meal. The food was very good, tasty and we all enjoyed it. Sherry trifle was amazing!! Waiting staff were very nice and although it got really busy they still managed to keep smiling and look after everyone.

First time at the Oak - for Christmas lunch today with friends. Online booking all works well and pre booking food made it easier on the day for serving. Warm welcome , nice festive atmosphere and great friendly service. We had the Xmas menu and the food was fabulous. Great starters of creamy warm soup and fresh Salmon and avocado, then a really well cooked and filling roast turkey meal with trimmings which was hot and delicious. The chocolate fondant dessert was lovely too. The Xmas menu is fabulous value for money, well cooked, generous portion and really delicious. Thanks to the lovely staff as well who were working very efficiently in that busy environment

I came in for food with some family and friends I would like to say that the service was terrible waiting for the food was bad we waited over 40 mins just for the starters to come out and the place wasn’t busy at all we booked the table for 6:30 twice and they still got the name wrong. No one came over to see if everything was okay with the food. The tables are very sticky. The boy in the Adidas shirt had very poor attitude. When the puddings came out there was barely any custard and the brownie was cold.

The breakfast here is INCREDIBLE. The pancakes are to die for, and fantastic value for money. It might look a bit pricey to begin with, but you won't want to eat for the rest of the day. Love the pastries that are made on site too, but the stars are the proper breakfasts.

Lovely staff. Make you feel so welcome. Food is great, very good value. The Aesthetics are second to none. Satisfying experience as always.

Excellent Xmas lunch. Great choices on menu. Will definitely return. Only issue was a long wait for dessert, but they were extremely busy for a lunchtime.

Very disappointed roast potatoes nearly impossible to cut carrots hard and overdone two of the thinnest parsnips also overdone stuffing bland best thing was Yorkshire overall a very poor Sunday lunch

Really nice prawn curry, tender prawns, just too little (only 4 or max of 5). Food was just enough for me. Apple and berry crumble and a very nice vanilla ice cream. Nice atmosphere. Really busy for a Wednesday night which shows locals like the food. Also didn't have my dog with me as I was on a business trip, but how cute is the dog menu and they've got toys for dogs 🐕😍☺️😊

Fairly traditional English pub, has overcome great difficulties with flooding in the last few years. Energetic and cheerful team, feels a little dated but who knows where it may go. Was there for breakfast...!!

A very pleasant atmosphere with comfortably spaced tables and nice decor. The staff were lovely and service was good. We asked if we could move somewhere else when our time was up and we were shown to a nice area where we continued to order drinks and chat. The food was good, my husband thought his roast beef dinner wasn't hot enough but the beef was beautifully tender. My sea bass was nice enough over vegetables but it was dry, could have done with a sauce of some sort. We would definitely come again.

An amazing Sunday Lunch at the Royal Oak. We were a big party but the staff were so attentive and dealt with all our requests quickly and efficiently. This was on top of some absolutely great food 😁 The roasts was one of the nicest I have had in a while, not to mention the gorgeous sticky toffee pudding 🍮 We didn't feel rushed at all, despite it being a packed restaurant (for good reason). Prices are also extremely reasonable - faultless!

Perfect for an enjoyable celebration

Food was lovely but wasn't very keen on the mash which was served on my plate Servce was very quick and staff are very polite and friendly Toilets facilities are ok but not very friendly in ladies as there were lower steps to entance cubicles however I avoided this and went straight along to the cubicle opposite the door due to my sight impairment

Just went out for a meal with coworkers at the Royal Oak. The food was great, the atmosphere is lovely and has good customer service. Although me and collegue mash potatoe wasn't the best, quite on dry side but everything else was spot on. Thank you 😊

Absolutely LOVE The Royal Oak it's my fave pub for a meal. As usual the food did not disappoint and is great value for money. Pub has a great atmosphere and the staff are always brilliant. Had a laugh with Jack who is always so friendly and helpful. I have to say I do miss my fave dessert which was always the Creme Brulee with shortbread and was always a winner for me, so sad to see that go from the menu a while ago 😭. I'll definitely be back again soon though. Thank you

Great gluten free roast dinner. It is always a pleasure to eat at the Royal Oak Brandon as I know they understand about coeliac disease. There is always a friendly atmosphere it’s a great place to eat. Looking forward to trying the fluten free fish and chips.

Lunch with my sister, lovely place, great food and staff ... disappointly no chocolate fudge cake today as this was amazing when we last went.

Service was good. I had the seabass. The fish didn't seem fresh. There were onions and cabbage underneath the fish, which did not go at all. The chips were nice. Also, the wine was rank!

A very nice small village pub. Food quality is above the average and at a reasonable price. Service and atmosphere are very good as well. It is worth the short journey to get there.

A party of 6 for Sunday dinner. The service was excellent from the time we were seated until we finished the meal. The roast dinner was of a generous portion which was enjoyable. The burgers & fries were well presented and very tasty. And my sea bass on a bed of veg with new potatoes was excellent. Thank you for a lovely meal at a reasonable price.

My wife had sea bass and the presentation and quality was poor I had the chicken and leek pie but it had a puff pastry lid that you had to flatten before you could eat it. Disappointing as we had been before and enjoyed it.

If you haven't been to the Royal Oak at Brandon you should put it on your list as a priority. The staff are led by Cara who is amazing, service is fantastic and food is incredible. Good quality well cooked and great value. We love it there.

Excellent place to meet up. Good service and fair priced quality food, especially the 2 for 1 deal. I believe the Royal Oak Brandon is the best in the area, for the reason's mentioned.

Popped in for dinner on Friday night while away on holiday in Coventry. The pub was packed and we didn't have a booking but the waitress managed to find us a table for 4 people. We all had lasagna, both meat and vegetable. It was absolutely delicious. So many flavours and clearly homemade with care. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The pub is warm and cosy with a nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed our visit here!!!!

Good food with good service at a good price

Fairly lively little place for a Sunday breakfast. Great sausages, and extra special hash browns. Personally I fail to understand why many places like this only serve half a tomato, as not the most expensive item on the plate, why not give all of it to match 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs!

Stopped for dinner while passing through from London to Blackpool. Excellent food, great service & puppy loved the treats.

Service Good. I’ve withheld a Star on my score because my niece had what is normally her favourite Peppered Chicken and she said that the Sauce was not as nice as it normally is. The sauce was rather watery and it didn’t taste very peppery. She told me this when we were travelling home - I did tell her she should have complained at the time in the restaurant. She said she wouldn’t have it again as she was disappointed. Her partners meal and my meal were very nice. The 2-4-1 Offer is still a great deal - in fact The Royal Oaks 2-4-1 deal is the best value for money in the whole of Coventry and the surrounding areas.

This is my favourite pub restaurant to visit, the staff are always helpful, warm and friendly. The food is always excellent and also reasonably priced. There is always a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. I cannot recommend this establishment enough.

Had Sunday roast. Beef had lots of fat on. Not many vegetables but lovely big Yorkshire pudding !

Service excellent, food very good no complaints will certainly go again.

Good food pub. Very big range of food both for starters and mains, prices very reasonable, portions good size. If you like a desert, then consider not having a starter as you may not have enough room for the desert. Can recommend the "oak" chicken (vairiation on hunters chicken) and the pepper chicken. For a sweet go for the sherry trifle... they are not kidding with the sherry.

Had a lovely Saturday lunch here. My beef pie was scrumptious. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 menu. Four large soft drinks and four quality meals in a lovely environment for £40! I would recommend booking as it gets really busy.

A nice place . The food is good, and the prices are fair , however the place does get busy, especially on a Friday and Saturday so a booking is a good idea expect to pay about £45 for a two course meal for two including a bottle of wine

Excellent food and service as always!!! This time we had the Sunday roast, one of each option as there were 3 of us, and all were delicious.

A wonderful evening with family. Staff were wonderful - helpful, professional and friendly whilst providing a quick & attentive service. The food was lush and for a large table, we were served promptly and food arrived hot. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend - my first visit but not my last!

This is one of those places I've driven past a hundred times and finally went in for lunch today. It's as good as all the reviewers say and I'm going to make it a regular thing. 😋

A hidden little gem of a pub. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection. Slight mix up with the bill and the deal that was on that evening, but quickly sorted and very friendly and apologetic for doing so.

Despite living nearby for years this was the first time visiting. The menu choices were really good, the food was awesome and the staff very friendly. It was fairly quiet when we went mid afternoon so can't comment on the atmosphere generally. It was reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend.

Great food, good prices and really good service from everyone, the staff work as a real team.

Been dining at the Royal Oak for several years however recently we have had two very bad experiences, I asked to speak to the manager but no manager was available so we had to leave unhappy. I have emailed asking to have a call back from a manager and none was forthcoming hence the negative review here. The service has dropped off a cliff, it seems they have a very high turnover of young staff and no-one really cares about the customer experience now, so unfortunately we won't be returning, such a shame as we have taken friends and family and recommended to others, not any longer and no longer recommend, they seem to be a victim of their own success...

Salmon salad ... bowl of small salad leaves and two tiny bits of tomato (the stalk bit). No onion, pepper or anything else I expected to find in a salad. Wouldn't recommend for the price. Husband had moules and said it was fine, avoid the salad, not worth the cost.

Lovely pub by the rail track. Ample parking though we walked from a nearby hotel. Stopped one evening for a drink and returned lunchtime next day. 2 for 1 menu with loads of choice. Day before we saw the menu but lucky to get seated as very busy. Staff well dressed, polite and accommodating. Very good service. Less than £30 for two good meals and two alcoholic drinks. If passing would definitely return.

Lovely pub . Very friendly staff . 241 meal deals lunch times are great . Opens at 8am - 11am for breakfast . Dog friendly . Outside seating . Probably need to book at weekends if you want to eat inside. Gets very busy . Highly recommend.

Visited for a work team lunch on a Monday afternoon. The menu is great, loads of options. We all had something different and everyone (party of 6) really enjoyed our meals. We all felt the quality and quantity was great value. The pub itself feels lovely, it feels like a nice cosy country pub. The staff were great - got us seated quickly and the service was perfect the whole time we were there. Plenty of parking available.

Excellent customer service. The food was lovely and brought out within good time of ordering. Staff are attentive and approachable. We are returning in the near future for a very special celebration.
