Visited this week with my wife for a long awaited breakfast. Greeted by friendly staff as we walked in. Any table available as no other customers at the time. I asked for a Full English but with scrambled eggs instead of fried and my wife asked for poached eggs on toast. Breakfast arrived, but a problem with my eggs, they were cold and congealed. Quickly changed when I brought this to the attention of the waitress, but I couldn’t understand why these eggs were not up to standard at the outset. Everything these days is so expensive that food especially needs to be up to standard, which it was in the end. Not in a rush to go back.

Wow what a disappointment went for tea and cake with friends. I was amazed that they were so ungenerous with the cake portion sizes for the price of £4.95 each, even though cake was delicious. The portion compared to other similarly priced tearooms we had been to was very miserly.

After seeing it was very busy, I was a little worried, but as soon as I was greeted those worrys disappeared. The waitress was very accommodating with my disability and went above and beyond to make sure I was able to access seating and asking very professionally if there was anything else she could do to support me. So a very big thank you Evan (I think, sorry terrible with names) for making my first experience so welcoming. Food was great even with the busy atmosphere did not take long to prepare with no issues. I will definitely be back, thank you.

30.3.24, sunny afternoon 3.55pm. Coffee shop advertise 5.00pm closing. We waited by the entrance next to a sign saying wait to be seated. We waited, and waited but the two waitresses simply ignored us, so I went and asked if we could get a coffee and was told in a grumpy manner to sit in the cafe. A bit blunt to be honest. We ordered with the waitress who had limited communication skills. Whilst drinking our coffee a waitress started to put chairs up on the tables around us, as if closing but it was only 16.10pm not a pleasant experience. Whilst there we witnessed the waitresses fra kly being rude to other customers. One lady simply asked if she paid at the counter or should sit at her table and was told "just wait there". Staggering. We felt so sorry for her. We can only assume this cafe is not interested in customers or customer service. A very dissapointing experience. We would not recommend and shall not return.

First visit to the Willow cafe which we found very weird! It almost felt like we were invisible when we arrived & our experience didn’t improve. We waited at the door to be seated, like the sign said but the 2 staff serving completely ignored us, so we walked in and asked if we could sit down. We sat down & then I went to the counter to order, unaware it was table service. Again I was ignored, whilst the girls continued behind the counter. It wasn’t busy & I was the only one at the counter. After a few minutes they told me it was table service. The girl who served us was quite blunt & far from welcoming or friendly. We arrived at 3.55pm, the cafe shuts at 5pm, but at 4.15 the chairs were put on top of the tables in half the cafe. We thought this was very odd & something you shouldn’t be done until the cafe is shut. TBF the drinks were ok, but the staff desperately need training in communication & customer care. Not sure we’ll rush back!

Stopped off here to refuel during a cycling trip a couple of weeks back. Really tasty fresh food, lovely surroundings and friendly staff. They must get a lot of cyclists because there's a polite notice ont window to remove your cleated shoes before stepping on the wooden floor which is prone to getting damaged, which is fair enough...with recessed SPD cleats you should be fine. Great food, reasonably priced and lovely selection of cakes and pastries.

What a find. Out for a lunchtime walk and headed to this delightful coffee shop (well it was definitely a bit more than that) near to Barlby. Everything was so perfect, not least of all the friendly, attentive service. Even Harley McKay was waited on with water. We had to sit outside with doggie but that was fine, the weather was good and the surroundings lovely. Everything neat and clean. Delicious homemade soup for me and a wonderful choice of paninis for Pete McKay to peruse. There were some really tempting hot meals to choose from but we had dinner planned for later. Couldn’t resist a homemade cake though, the display was so tempting. I found it so difficult to choose I had to take some with me. This visit really made our day. Can’t wait to return. Thank you.

The coffee really is very good. The cakes and more substantial food too (I seriously recommend a bowl of chips). But this used to be such a friendly place. What happened? Now, a lectern blocks the entrance (they still have a one-way system in operation, although quite what it achieves I fail to understand). One group after us had to yell to get someone to come. We were only given one menu between three of us but were then asked to order almost immediately. As request for more time was met with a sigh. Indeed, there was not a hint of a smile throughout the visit. And - I know those making food might think it's seasoned enough - when asking for pepper, I do expect more than a single miniscule sachet just plonked on the table.

Been meaning to visit for some time so my wife and I called in today so I could have a full breakfast. Cafe looked clean. Welcomed as we walked in at a lectern, by one of the waitress’s and handed a menu. Waiter service at the table. One way in, another way out. Very good in these unsure times. My breakfast was lovely, with all the works on offer. My wife had a bacon baguette, with three rashers of bacon. Coffee extra, but very hot and tasty. Quite a longish wait for the food considering there were only another five customers. Overall we would visit again . Glad we tried it before Lockdown looms after Christmas.

Visited again today but for the first time with my wife. Both feeling under the weather with coughs and colds, so didn’t want masses of food. Only normally have coffee here but the food always looks nice so thought we’d try it. I had a panini with salad and crisps. My had a bacon and fried egg sandwich. I was a little disappointed with the portion size of my panini which looked like only half a one, would have added Chips if I’d have known. However the panini was tasty, just not enough of it. My wife’s sandwich looked lovely and she felt it was enough for her. Next time I will try the All Day Breakfast that looks good value for money.

Lovely setting but quality of the food, drink and service was poor given the higher price. The cakes did look good though. My main complaint is the coffee. Which was VERY poor. Working as a barista for 3 years, one year spent in Melbourne, I have to say the coffee was one of the worst tasting coffee I've had here. The Americano had no crema and was virtually dishwater. For a smaller size of £2.65 I was very disappointed. The cooked breakfast was average with the mushrooms being the cheap white variety which were very greasy. The breakfast was average. The sausage was fairly pleasant. The service was particulary poor. Unfortunately there were two very young cafe members who provided no service and were very timid. Notably plonking the food down with no interaction with the customer. The environment feels a little cheap, notably the quality of the tables and the crockery. Similarly, it can be noisey as the seating area is small for the number of tables. In short, this is a 'Builders cafe' masquaring as a farm shop cafe. The little garden centre is cute and the ducks are amusing. Would not eat here again.

Didn’t try the cakes but they look like to die for. Am returning next week and will definitely have the coffee cake. The table still hadn’t been cleared. Coffee arrived, same as the first one, not very hot. This cafe offers a loyalty card. Buy 6 coffees, get one free. Actually it’s not free. Have been to the willows coffee shop twice now. Firstly I took my son for an all day breakfast which did appear pricey but you do get a drink with it and toast and the quality of the food was well worth the price. Cooked to perfection. Sat in lovely surroundings and because it was a small place I feel the quality of food was much better ,as a lot appeared to behome made. Next time I went my other son had the same breakfast and he said it was the best he had ever had apart from one of his dad's breakfast which was top on his list. I had homemade broccoli soup and fresh warm roll. This was gorgeous I cook a lot of homemade soup and this was very good and the roll was extra nice as warm. Have not tried cakes yet but they looked gorgeous too. The nursery itself was lovely and had some really nice plants will definitely go again. Much better than any of the bigger named nurseries whom seem to have less plants nowadays and more other rubbish for sale.

Yes, the food here is lovely. Been a few times now and Sunday lunch excellent. Went to the top of our list until last week when we ventured a bit farther out and discovered Sunday lunch at the Wharf in Fenny Compton. Anyway, went this morning for full English breakfast which was lovely. But come on, do they really have to charge 35p for a little pack of marmalade? At nearly £7 for breakfast surely this could have been complimentary! I do think it's a bit overpriced - especially the teacakes at over £2 - but then if people are willing to pay ..................! And at these prices you'd think they'd bring the cutlery and condiments to your table but no, you have to remember to get it yourself.

Quite busy, which isn't a bad thing. At the time of booking, wheelchair access was requested, but it may have been overlooked. The staff resolved it by moving 2 tables to accommodate 8 guests. To be honest, it's a bit tight for 2 wheelchair users to move around, and there are steps to different levels, so the choices of eating areas are quite restricted. Food ordering is QR code and smart app. The carvery was simple and tasty, reasonably good choice of vegetables. Desserts were good, and the table service was fine. The accessibility for the toilet (singular) wasn't the best. The wheelchair had to be left in the hallway because there was no room for the chair and user to be in there at the same time. Pricing was about average. Might be a while before I go back, but I probably will at some point in the future.
