Staff & Service was excellent! Food was very nice! Lovely place to stop and eat without booking in advance.

Last minute birthday plans turned in to a lovely evening celebration. TJ looked after us from the second we arrived and made sure everyone had a great time. Especially the birthday girl. Food was lovely, all served quickly. Will be back soon.

The worst food I've ever eaten.

Food was dire. Paid nearly £100 for 4adults +1 infant. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Staff were friendly and polite. The toilets weren't very clean. Won't be going back in a hurry.

Come here occasionally after work for drinks with colleagues. Staff are friendly and provide good service.

Spent the last 3 days here on a business trip. The rooms are 1st class the food was really really good and staff and the manager Alasdair are a credit to the company. Made me feel really welcome travelling on my own from Scotland and I would recommend to friends and family all day long 10/10.

Very large carpark, a large restaurant with lots of tables. A varied menu and many vegetarian/vegan options. Friendly staff, bottomless coffee, and cola.

Stayed here an overnight on a works visit staff were very friendly and service was efficient, Alistair/Tom made sure nothing was too much of an effort .. credit to the business wish all brewers fayres were the same

The food is Terrible and service not very helpful

A spacious restaurant serving steaks, burgers and pub classics at affordable prices. Service was a bit slow - I think they were short staffed - and the food looked a bit uninviting but it tasted fine.

Food was very good if you want a main meal. I just wanted a smaller lunch and there weren't many options. I think the property is closing soon as it is being sold.

Great premier inn with superb Bar/Restaurant. Also wonderful entertainment with Kirsty Leslie as amazing singer. 👍👌

Soul less plastic pub. Won't rush back.

Lovely setting. Lovely venue. Dreadful service! Sullen, to the point of rudeness waitress. Appeared everything was an effort for her . Waited 45 mins for dinner plates to be removed, order dessert and more drinks. This only happened 10 mins after asking at bar for this to happen. Request was met with more couldn't care less attitude and excuses. But no apologies. Wont be visiting again which is a shame as the pub itself and surrounding area were beautiful. Just a shame about the staff.

This pub serves amazing timely food and drink with amazing staff! 5* customer service and a lovely Sunday roast dinner - shout out to the 5* chefs too! An absolute gem conveniently situated near Coombe Abbey, Coventry and Brinklow/Rugby. I couldn't recommend enough, been coming here for over 6 months, very happy customer.

The food is really good and tasty the staff are friendly and helpful and pleasant the atmosphere is very important to me the place is clean and tidy in clouding the toilets which is very important to ive been there before and will go there again very nice 💯.

Good breakfast which was not greasy but fresh

11 of us gathered for lunch. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The place was clean. The food was very good. Sherries was out waitress. She was efficient and helpful. We will come again. Thank you.

Went here to attend a funeral,, so the catering was a buffet. Great value for variety of of cold and warm snacks available. Quite busy for a Monday afternoon. Staff were attentive and polite. Bar area was busy but didn't wait long for service. Only down side for me, was the car parking. You have to book in on arrival, and only one machine working so queued up 5min. And you book a full day. Which confused people, most people we looking for hours. But overall a very good experience.

Food was excellent value and the unlimited drinks machine was a big hit!

This is a really nice pub to have a quiet meal, as it's out in the sticks a bit it doesn't get mega busy so there is always a table available, the staff are friendly and the food is decent. They have loads of offers, we usually go for the 2 melas for 11.99 as it's a bargain and there are plenty of choices on there we like. If you like somewhere a bit lively it's probably isn't for you but for a nice quiet meal, it's perfect

Spoilt by children playing pool after 9pm (illegal) children remained after we left (illegal ) go out 4 a drink as an adult don't want noisy kids iv dun my time with children I have 6 not once did I take them in a pub sorry if I offend anyone but the law is the law 😡

Been this evening main meal was good but had to wait an awful long time for our sweets and when we got them custard was cold. Child ice cream didn’t it eat it as waited to long. Disappointed. The service we received was good. Think the problem was in the kitchen hope you sort it out guys.

Nice food helpful friendly staff

A birthday breakfast celebration with our family. A group of 8 adults and 9 children. The breakfast was excellent value for money and the fact that it was individually cooked to order was appreciated. Staff were friendly and efficient.

The staff were friendly, the food was amazing, atmosphere was nice and relaxing, not too busy which I liked, great for kids (even though they didn’t open the play area but hoping that it will as we will be back again)

Massive thank you to Molly, Tom and Alison always make our visit welcoming and always about for a chat. As soon as my wife and i stepped into the sparrow with my little girl, we were greeted at the door by Lorraine. After seating, the manager popped over to us for a friendly chat. He approached like he knew us for years. Sunday roast are really nice. Other food offered on the menu has been really nice too, the food has come out hot each time with our other dishes. The kids' menu is excellent value for money. Again, thank you for your service and hospitality, Molly, Tom, Alison and Lorraine.

Been coming here years. Usually to meet with family, or my work colleagues when I visit Coventry. We are always a big party, but you get top notch service, you can have a laugh with the staff, the food is always top tier, hot and fresh, and such value for money. Its a chain, but it definitely doesn't feel like that.

One of our favourite brewers fayres . Staff are always helpful and never have any issues with the food . Keep up the good work 👍

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant. The ambience was stunning, set in a picturesque location that added to the overall charm. The food, while not extraordinary, was fairly decent, offering a satisfying variety. Very poor wouldn't go back again don't know if off day but not for me

We were supposed to be having a meal at 17:30 but eventually received a lukewarm meal nearly two hours later with no apologies, A few of our party had ordered tomato soup but apparently they had run out ( ordered nearly at least 6 weeks prior) again no reasonable apology, The beer (not cask) was nearly £5 a pint with bottles the same, This is not a place to expect a decent meal for the price and don't bother getting a taxi as alcohol is priced off rhe menu and soft drinks just as expensive giving no reason to abstain , I definitely will not be taking my wife for a meal here after the abysmal service and extortionate prices.

We arrived and were seated by the doors. It was freezing cold and kept our coats on. We had the festive menu and there was no tomato soup starters. The meat was lovely but the roast potatoes, stuffing balls, sprouts and carrots I thought had been re heated from the Christmas Day leftovers!!! Our mains were bought to us and we had to pinch cutlery from the table next to us as the person who bought us out meals just disappeared as I believe there were just 2 of them serving the whole restaurant…. We will not be returning again as we were disappointed on our last visit too.

Still at The Sparrow having had two of our Christmas dinner courses. I have to say I am really impressed. Very very nice indeed and so helpful with a fussy 3 year old. Well worth the cost. Staff are lovely and efficient. Would recommend this care free Christmas Day to all.

Had lovely meal before we headed off to the light trail. First time and was lovely, food was delicious, wonderful atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.

Despite the problems with gas supply the food was excellent and plenty of it especially the festive menu. The staff were attentive without being g overbearing. A very pleasant evening.

Ok is the best I can offer to this place. The food was ok, the staff were a bit grumpy and the place it's self was clean enough but the threat of getting a parking fine was ever present in the shared car park. Over all meh

15 of us had the Christmas menu this evening. It was lovely. Everyone enjoyed the food and said they would come back again. The staff were lovely and looked after us well. One of the guests wanted gluten free and they made a real effort to make sure he had gluten free options to choose from, even though I hadn’t let them know prior to this evening. Great evening x

Just had Xmas meal for the two of us off the festive menu. Excellent meal cooked really well two courses for £14.99 payed £2.00 extra and we both had a three course. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Great service nice and hot would recommend.

Came here today with family and was overall ok. We were greeted by the very nice man who was front of house. Very welcoming and helpful. After that, service slowed up (I think due to server demand over the other side of the pub). Order was taken with no issue. Food was alright. Not bad, but not great either. I had a roast. Gammon was lovely, beef was quite poor quality. Everything was your standard stuff which by no means is bad, but weren't incredible neither. Dessert was ok too, Overall, I'm unsure if I would visit again, atmosphere was nice as many people were there but it wasn't too loud. I would recommend trying here, but don't expect much more than your standard food.

A group of us met up here for the weekend. The food was good, the staff were brilliant and there was plenty to drink. A little more choice of real ales would have suited me but I have no complaints. They went above and beyond to look after us and ensure we had everything we needed. Top marks!

For a chain pub, can't fault it. Friendly and professional staff, only visited when it's quiet but I'm sure the personalities I've met contribute to a good vibe at the weekend etc.

More staff much better than before

First time to this venue, we’re from London and had spent the day at Warwick Castle so this is not a local venue for us. It was beautiful inside, very clean, spacious and all the tables were clean & tidy too. We will be visiting this Brewers Fayre again for sure. We have been to quite a few Brewers Fayres and though they were very friendly, this one has to be the most memorable due to how nice the interior is - all staff definitely were the cherry on the top. Thank you to Tom & his team 👏🙏

Have been to the Sparrow several times and food is always nice. Todays visit began with a warm welcome from Tom the manager. The meals were all faultless and my steak was cooked to perfection. Puddings were delicious although one was originally missing but this was quickly rectified. Food came out in a timely manner and service from Alison was good. We will be back.

Walked out again,this gas had been turned off No haddock, the only reason we go there Went to the White lion at Brinklow. Much nicer atmosphere there

This is litterally the only place local that can cater for all my family needs. The staff go above a beyond to cater for all your needs. Their gluten free selection is great and they put in lots of extra effort to cater for my very fussy ASD children. Will deffinately be using this place regulary.

This is mine and the family’s regular spot for food. Been here over 20 times and not once has there ever been any issues. The staff are great, the food is by far the best pub grub by a mile.

Service was terrible, firstly we had to wait 20mins for our reserved table then 9 of us had meals and by the time the 9th meal came out 2 had already finished there's! oh and then a side turned up for one of them. The staff were not a happy bunch! The trio of pies I had was actually nice but that was the only good part!

Food was delicious. We had garlic bread with cheese for starters, I had the cobb salad with chicken for mains and my husband had the mixed grill. I had the sundae glory knickerbocker for desert (best knickerbocker I've ever had) and my husband had chocolate brownie with ice cream for desert. We had soft drinks and mine was free refills. I had diet coke. The manager (man with besrd) was very friendly and professional. Made us feel very welcome. Our server was also lovely. The premises are lovely and clean. The music isn't loud which makes for a great dining experience for us. I believe they do have live music on Fridays now if you like that. We had our wedding reception here 10 years ago on the upstairs balcony which was lovely. We have enjoyed coming here for about 13 years a few times a year when we can afford to go out for meals. Highly recommend The Sparrow.

The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy when we visited yet we were ignored for nearly ten minutes waiting to be seated. Just a nod of acknowledgment or a ‘be with you soon’ from the staff who passed us several times would’ve sufficed. After standing there for ages we were finally seated and the person who served us was pleasant enough. Door was pretty grim, flavourless and not great value. I had hunter’s chicken made from rubbery, anaemic preformed chicken breast. It was such a gross texture and would likely bounce if dropped on the floor.
