Lovely food today, we had a Sunday lunch and it was very good. Great service too from T.J., a friendly and helpful young man who did his very best to ensure we were catered for.

We are regulars at the Sparrow, a warm family friendly pub. Today we came for Sunday Lunch and was served by Ryan. He was the politest of individuals and did everything he could to make sure our experience was as always fantastic.

Very good food and excellent service, Ryan was brilliant and made sure we were taken care of, he made sure received our food promptly.

Partner and I went for dinner this evening The waitress took our order we requested no coleslaw on either meal …we ordered one bottle of cider we were charged for two! Food arrived one meal with coleslaw ! Salad soaked in dressing and Luke warm chips … manageress did deduct 20% off the bill unfortunately we didn’t check receipt and didn’t notice we were charged for two ciders instead of one .. spoilt the evening out we won’t be going back again although we have dined here many times before without complaint.

Just returned home from the Sparrow at Ansty. We made a special request on our order of smothered chicken that we neither of us wanted coleslaw….need less to say that only one of us got what we requested, Luke warm chips and cold plates added to the disappointment. The Included salad was covered in salad dressing (why do they assume that everyone likes salad dressing). Our waitress kindly reduced the cost of the meal by 20% but went on to charge us double for drinks. Didn’t have my glasses on and only found that error on returning home.

When your table is spending almost £400 and you get slow service, stuff is missing from the order list and in some cases you're just ignored, it's not a great experience. Wouldn't recommend. The food wasn't good (my steak had clearly been cooked in a pan that was used for chicken for example). Bad experience

Very disappointed with Xmas festive dinner. No choice of sweets no fresh orange drink no sprouts no par Snips dry roast potatoes. Nothing like last year which was exelent.

Katie was our person for the whole time, she was so helpful, with a can do positive attitude. She impressed one of my friends so much that he said every restaurant should have a Katie. We enjoyed the food, generous portions, good value

We happened to stop by for Sunday lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the food quality. The Sunday roast was fantastic, with perfectly cooked meat, crispy roast potatoes, and well-prepared vegetables. The portion size was just right—better than the overindulgence you often find at a carvery. The staff were attentive and made our visit enjoyable. However, the restaurant could use a deep clean. The seats and carpet were quite soiled, which took away from an otherwise great experience. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, this place could be even better.

Staff & Service was excellent! Food was very nice! Lovely place to stop and eat without booking in advance.

Last minute birthday plans turned in to a lovely evening celebration. TJ looked after us from the second we arrived and made sure everyone had a great time. Especially the birthday girl. Food was lovely, all served quickly. Will be back soon.

The worst food I've ever eaten.

Food was dire. Paid nearly £100 for 4adults +1 infant. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Staff were friendly and polite. The toilets weren't very clean. Won't be going back in a hurry.

Come here occasionally after work for drinks with colleagues. Staff are friendly and provide good service.

Very large carpark, a large restaurant with lots of tables. A varied menu and many vegetarian/vegan options. Friendly staff, bottomless coffee, and cola.

Spent the last 3 days here on a business trip. The rooms are 1st class the food was really really good and staff and the manager Alasdair are a credit to the company. Made me feel really welcome travelling on my own from Scotland and I would recommend to friends and family all day long 10/10.

Stayed here an overnight on a works visit staff were very friendly and service was efficient, Alistair/Tom made sure nothing was too much of an effort .. credit to the business wish all brewers fayres were the same

A spacious restaurant serving steaks, burgers and pub classics at affordable prices. Service was a bit slow - I think they were short staffed - and the food looked a bit uninviting but it tasted fine.

Great premier inn with superb Bar/Restaurant. Also wonderful entertainment with Kirsty Leslie as amazing singer. 👍👌

Food was very good if you want a main meal. I just wanted a smaller lunch and there weren't many options. I think the property is closing soon as it is being sold.

Old place I been going for years

Lovely setting. Lovely venue. Dreadful service! Sullen, to the point of rudeness waitress. Appeared everything was an effort for her . Waited 45 mins for dinner plates to be removed, order dessert and more drinks. This only happened 10 mins after asking at bar for this to happen. Request was met with more couldn't care less attitude and excuses. But no apologies. Wont be visiting again which is a shame as the pub itself and surrounding area were beautiful. Just a shame about the staff.

This pub serves amazing timely food and drink with amazing staff! 5* customer service and a lovely Sunday roast dinner - shout out to the 5* chefs too! An absolute gem conveniently situated near Coombe Abbey, Coventry and Brinklow/Rugby. I couldn't recommend enough, been coming here for over 6 months, very happy customer.

The food is really good and tasty the staff are friendly and helpful and pleasant the atmosphere is very important to me the place is clean and tidy in clouding the toilets which is very important to ive been there before and will go there again very nice 💯.

Went here to attend a funeral,, so the catering was a buffet. Great value for variety of of cold and warm snacks available. Quite busy for a Monday afternoon. Staff were attentive and polite. Bar area was busy but didn't wait long for service. Only down side for me, was the car parking. You have to book in on arrival, and only one machine working so queued up 5min. And you book a full day. Which confused people, most people we looking for hours. But overall a very good experience.

This is a really nice pub to have a quiet meal, as it's out in the sticks a bit it doesn't get mega busy so there is always a table available, the staff are friendly and the food is decent. They have loads of offers, we usually go for the 2 melas for 11.99 as it's a bargain and there are plenty of choices on there we like. If you like somewhere a bit lively it's probably isn't for you but for a nice quiet meal, it's perfect

Spoilt by children playing pool after 9pm (illegal) children remained after we left (illegal ) go out 4 a drink as an adult don't want noisy kids iv dun my time with children I have 6 not once did I take them in a pub sorry if I offend anyone but the law is the law 😡

Been this evening main meal was good but had to wait an awful long time for our sweets and when we got them custard was cold. Child ice cream didn’t it eat it as waited to long. Disappointed. The service we received was good. Think the problem was in the kitchen hope you sort it out guys.

Nice food helpful friendly staff

A birthday breakfast celebration with our family. A group of 8 adults and 9 children. The breakfast was excellent value for money and the fact that it was individually cooked to order was appreciated. Staff were friendly and efficient.

The staff were friendly, the food was amazing, atmosphere was nice and relaxing, not too busy which I liked, great for kids (even though they didn’t open the play area but hoping that it will as we will be back again)

As soon as my wife and i stepped into the sparrow with my little girl, we were greeted at the door by Lorraine. After seating, the manager popped over to us for a friendly chat. He approached like he knew us for years. Sunday roast are really nice. Other food offered on the menu has been really nice too, the food has come out hot each time with our other dishes. The kids' menu is excellent value for money. Again, thank you for your service and hospitality, Molly, Tom, Alison and Lorraine.

Been coming here years. Usually to meet with family, or my work colleagues when I visit Coventry. We are always a big party, but you get top notch service, you can have a laugh with the staff, the food is always top tier, hot and fresh, and such value for money. Its a chain, but it definitely doesn't feel like that.

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant. The ambience was stunning, set in a picturesque location that added to the overall charm. Very poor wouldn't go back again don't know if off day but not for me

We were supposed to be having a meal at 17:30 but eventually received a lukewarm meal nearly two hours later with no apologies, A few of our party had ordered tomato soup but apparently they had run out ( ordered nearly at least 6 weeks prior) again no reasonable apology, The beer (not cask) was nearly £5 a pint with bottles the same, This is not a place to expect a decent meal for the price and don't bother getting a taxi as alcohol is priced off rhe menu and soft drinks just as expensive giving no reason to abstain , I definitely will not be taking my wife for a meal here after the abysmal service and extortionate prices.

We arrived and were seated by the doors. It was freezing cold and kept our coats on. We had the festive menu and there was no tomato soup starters. The meat was lovely but the roast potatoes, stuffing balls, sprouts and carrots I thought had been re heated from the Christmas Day leftovers!!! Our mains were bought to us and we had to pinch cutlery from the table next to us as the person who bought us out meals just disappeared as I believe there were just 2 of them serving the whole restaurant…. We will not be returning again as we were disappointed on our last visit too.

Still at The Sparrow having had two of our Christmas dinner courses. I have to say I am really impressed. Very very nice indeed and so helpful with a fussy 3 year old. Well worth the cost. Staff are lovely and efficient. Would recommend this care free Christmas Day to all.

Had lovely meal before we headed off to the light trail. First time and was lovely, food was delicious, wonderful atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.

Despite the problems with gas supply the food was excellent and plenty of it especially the festive menu. The staff were attentive without being g overbearing. A very pleasant evening.

Ok is the best I can offer to this place. The food was ok, the staff were a bit grumpy and the place it's self was clean enough but the threat of getting a parking fine was ever present in the shared car park. Over all meh

15 of us had the Christmas menu this evening. It was lovely. Everyone enjoyed the food and said they would come back again. The staff were lovely and looked after us well. One of the guests wanted gluten free and they made a real effort to make sure he had gluten free options to choose from, even though I hadn’t let them know prior to this evening. Great evening x
