Was very disappointed with the meals I’m afraid. It was expensive for what you received. And then having to pay extra for chips or potatoes. I had ham, was expecting a decent portion for price it was small and a bit dry. Sauce wasn’t up to much. Still hungry. Sister had mutton pie. She said it needed some extra flavours to complement the mutton. Other sister had a burger as nothing else took her fancy as menu was small. £12 for burger and a cheap cheese slice, would have been better with real cheese. It was just like any other burger she said. So although the pub was lovely and very picturesque. Beautiful setting. Staff very pleasant. Food really let it down

This is a fantastic pub run by the best landlady and her team! The food is amazing and the price is very reasonable. Plenty of drinks to choose from on tap and shelf!! Always a warm welcome and so many regular clients who are happy to have a chat! Also caters for dietary needs, even dysphagia, just call up in advance and Holly will ensure your needs are met!! Brilliant service always with a smile!!

Fish and Chip Friday, what's not to love. Large fish and chips. Absolutely beautiful fish. Batter sooo crispy. Great service as always.

Wonderful second-hand bookshop, plus Cds and huge selection of cards by local artists and a cafe with excellent coffee and cakes

Best Samosas around. All food served is tasty and fresh and brilliant friendly customer service. Fabulous!!!

Went today for sunday lunch was very disappointing. Dinner was very quick coming out but wasn't happy about pudding well did not get any was waiting over an hour . Got that fed up we just left will not be returning.

Have been trying to eat here for aaages so glad it was worth the wait!!! Really awesome We will be back!

After a hectic couple of hours in Ludlow town I needed to find somewhere quieter for my lunch. Having checked Tripadvisor before my visit I instantly decided that The Charlton Arms neatly provided what I was looking for, good food in a tranquil location. Enjoyed my bavette steak, runner beans, onions and fries and found enough room for the chocolate fondant, honeycomb and vanilla ice cream some things just have to be done and we come this way but once. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The view from my window over the river was lovely, the water providing a playground for ducks, a heron and, spotted by a youngster at another window, even otters. 10/10

Amazing and delicious breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. I travelled with my daughter and we had a recommendation to try this place. We weren’t disappointed, the staff are so hard working and so friendly and the food is delicious. Really recommend.

Our third visit in recent weeks. The food, beers, wines and service are excellent. The staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings.

Lovely early evening with family including 2 babies. Lisa was particularly helpful and made it very easy to be there with the children. nothing was too much trouble for her. Thank you.

Not the best food! Kids meal was fish fingers, chips & peas but the peas were rock hard. The adult mains, beef lasagna which tasted like it had been kept warm for a long time and had no flavour, the other main chicken curry was like it was straight from a tin, tasteless. All we we’re offered was a free scoop of icecream. Wont be going back!!

Pleasant staff, great surroundings. Food very good from a varied menu. No complaints at all. Happy to return when we visit the area again

Absolutely brilliant, we were a group of 10 and when we arrived the staff said they had no reservation for us. When we checked, one of our party had booked the wrong pub. The staff member found us a table big enough for the all 10 of us. The food was brilliant too. The staff are so good at this pub, they go the extra mile to accommodate wherever they can. The food and drink make this establishment the perfect place to enjoy a lovely meal out. Thank you chetwode arms.

Really different, arranged like a medieval dungeon in places which adds to the atmosphere. Karaoke was fun with many songs to choose from.
