The best restaurants serving British food in Shropshire West Midlands

Popped in here on the way back home with my Dad and we both had the cod and chips. Have to say they were probably the best I’ve had in a long, long time! Chips were cooked from fresh not frozen and the batter on the fish was crispy and light. Their breakfasts are also really good and it’s spotlessly clean inside. Many thanks!!

Popped in for a quiet pint after refueling in Church Stretton, the staff were very friendly and approachable and assisted in a request, without hesitation. The building is unique and very clean inside whilst maintaining the traditional appearance of the Building, plenty of car parking adjacent to the pub, can't wait to return to sample the food and enjoy the scenery.

Lovely cafe, very busy so I would recommend that you reserve a table, staff are very pleasant and polite, cafe is clean with a good atmosphere. Food is cooked to a good standard and well presented. Cooked breakfasts are a decent size. Plenty of parking available..

Absolutely superb. Friendly atmosphere. Great food and a good choice had 3 vegetarians in the group and there was plenty for them to choose from. Couldn't fault the service. Would definitely come again.

Was looking for hot food and I found lovely fresh cooked on the spot food ,and staff friendly helpful could not do any more for their customers if they tried ,next time I'm in Shrewsbury I'll be sitting at your table 😋 😀 thankyou

Excellent Fish & Chips superb service and very friendly welcoming staff. I would say the chips are not under cooked as some other have said on other reviews but the shop owner keeps his oil very clean and fresh meaning they are not browned by dirty oil. To me that shows care and cleanliness. The fish was superb beautifully chunky white flakes of fish and batter was just perfect. I would recommend to anyone in the area to try these guys out.

Classic Tudor pub brimming with history and the nice decorative touches you get in Joules pubs, Decent selection of beers on tap albeit slightly expensive. Loses 1 star for me due to how busy it always feels which is not a criticism of the pub itself, just how I feel it affects the atmosphere and comfort level when I'm there.

Went for breakfast. 3 full english breakfasts ordered. Food was overcooked and meagre. Beans in a thimble, black pudding like hard tack buscuits. We couldnt eat it. Took staff ages to clear away. They were lots of staff but non attentive. Wont be back.

Normally service at the Wynnstay hotel restaurant is pretty good. It can hardly be judged satisfactory, however, if one orders Soup and Omelette and they are served at the same time!

Good hotel to stay for locality and town centre, only one minor hiccup and that was there was a bit of a wait for breakfast, but as stated, it was only minor
