Always the best breakfast in town!

Little cash only café. Does some nice homemade specials. The only downside is they wouldn't substitute 2 eggs for something else on my breakfast, or at least take some money off due to me being allergic to egg.

Fantastic food and very good service made very welcome nothing was to much for the staff made me very welcome did not rush me to go. Will be visiting again soon thankyou so much for your kindness.

Staff very friendly and remember their regular clients' names, which is impressive. I'd say they have the best chips in Oswestry, well according to me and the other places I've been. Just one thing, not wheelchair accessible which makes me hate going there as I always struggle to push the wheelchair in and out. But I've been fortunate enough to get other clients and passers-by willing to assist with the wheelchair.

Staff were very friendly. The cafe is very clean. Food was absolutely delicious, we will definitely be back again, brilliant all round.

Ate there once a couple of years ago, no complaints but nothing to shout about either. Now though, every time I go past it's closed (weekdays).

This was our second visit to this little gem of a cafe in Oswestry. It is unashamedly old fashioned British cafe and all the better for that. We had two hot sandwiches and cups of tea. I cannot understand other peoples negative comments in the past. The food is freshly made and the owners give a friendly service. The menu is fantastic value for money and tasty indeed. If you want “fancy food” then your free to go elsewhere and spend an awful lot more for it. Gem of a place, liked the 70’s music as well

Great food, friendly staff, great prices, clean and they have a toilet for customers.

Had a lovely homemade lasagne. Not the usual swimming in sauce that burns your mouth you get elsewhere. And a fantastic coffee. Be back soon.

Perfect little cafe food is always good and the staff are lovely and chatty and so very accommodating. I haven't found a better breakfast yet and I try every cafe I go in!!!

Called in on Saturday lunch time while visiting area, really wished we hadn’t. Made to feel uncomfortable because we are not one of the “locals” Ordered food at counter and waited for food to arrive not a long wait, plates banged on the table by a lady. Food was tasteless, even the tomato ketchup is tasteless .. it’s budget products but not budget prices. Sorry because premises nice and clean but service and food let it down.

We have been visiting this place for a while now but wont be doing so again sadly. It was always a place to go for a hot and tasty lunch but since re opening after our recent lockdown the food is now overcooked and sadly no longer worth the money as the portion sizes seem also to have become a lot smaller. They have increased the prices, which I suppose can be deemed fair in the current climate, but unfortunately the quality has gone downhill. My husband had a breakfast costing £6 and the sausages were obviously reheated ,as was the very tough bacon. My daughter had a cheeseburger which consisted of a very dry bread roll, two overcooked 2 oz burgers and a sprinkling of un melted cheddar/mozzarella bought in grated cheese mix. I am so sad that this has happened to what was once a good little cafe that could be relied upon. I always like to give the benefit of the doubt as we can all have "off" days but after two previous visits since re opening it has become apparent that the proprietors previous attention to good food has fallen by the wayside. Sorry, wont be back :((

The Lady owner of The White Horse Cafe in Oswestry Was VERY RUDE! ABRUPT AND AGGRESSIVE towards me, when I said I was unable to use the hand gel as I am allergic to it. She didn't give me a second to say: ok I will wear gloves! But, I didn't have time to think it let alone say it. She Was VERY ARROGANT! It is NOT my fault I have an Allergy... I WILL NEVER BE GOING THERE AGAIN. There are ways of saying things!!

I’m a massive fan of the owner Bev’s Cauliflower and Broccoli Bake! All the food at the cafe is tasty, good wholesome traditional fayre. It’s a firm family favourite destination for a hearty breakfast or delicious lunch. Highly recommended.

There was a decidedly unwelcoming atmosphere in the White Horse when we visited. People stared at us as if we were aliens and gave us dirty looks. The 'coffee' was instant and weak. There was a very poor choice of soft drinks. The food on offer was simple fare, which I usually appreciate. We didn't try it, it did not look appetizing.

Good food, nice selection of dishes. Good company. Nice area to shop.

I regularly go here for lunch and a drink and it is my personal favourite cafe in oswestry, the food is always very hot and tasty, friendly staff and not long waiting times, highly recommended

Homemade quiche is absolutely brilliant

Been coming to the white horse for as long as I can remember with my grandad and great uncle, I am now 27 and it's the only cafe me and my partner will go to with the kids as the atmosphere is brilliant and food is great! One of the best cafes in oswestry

I often come in for the breakfast when visiting but I decided to try the specials. The homemade cottage pie was exceptional. It was very flavoursome, fresh & a generous portion. Very cheap too. Staff we’re friendly & efficient, I would highly recommend

Me encanta venir aquí para el desayuno, a veces con los niños, otras veces con amigos y los desayunos son siempre perfecto! Que sustituya el huevos fritos con escalfados y también son perfectas! Taza de café con el desayuno y mucho en su plato! Continuaré para venir aquí! Siempre hay un ambiente agradable y me encanta estar escuchando la selección de música de fondo! En general su cuchara típica por encima de la media británica grasienta:).

Good honest traditional cafe food - ham egg and chips, mugs of tea. Only been there once, liked it, and found it good value. Not for the health food fanatics.

This was our first ever visit to oswestry today 9th nov so we didn,t know where to eat and we came across the white horse as we were heading back to car ,the cafe was very clean the staff were very friendly and the choice on the menu was ample i had a jacket potato with cheese and onion it was pefectly cooked and was a good size and my partner had a breakfast ,we didn,t have to wait long for our food and it wasn,t expensive we will definitely return to oswestry again soon and this cafe is on our lunch list .

We had a standard breakfast here after going to Bailey Head cafe and being disappointed with their food.Service was quick and friendly and our food arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection. Our fried eggs were soft just as we asked for and the bacon crispy and very tasty.The sausages had great flavour and a lovely mix of herbs to season them.Even the cups of tea were good, Tetley tea bags used. Would definitely recommend.

I visited Oswestry on a family holiday. Went into the cafe & was pleasantly surprised by the menu. The homemade specials were particularly outstanding. We will definitely visit again. The staff were very pleasant & very accommodating to my two young children

This is a classic British cafe with the food we all love standard British food which I love always enjoy the full breakfast I don't think I would order anything else nice a friendly

I eat hear quite often as I go shopping in Oswestry every Saturday ,the breakfasts are really tasty. Lovely well cooked bacon and sausage,I would say they only use quality produce. Would highly recommend

To be fair the cafe is dated but it was busy, the food was brought quickly and was ok. More a builders breakfast haunt than an afternoon tea but ok

Went for a snack and cuppa, they made the tea for you which was ok but they put the sugar in for you not really bothering to watch how much or how strong you wanted it, the man serving was rude, the food was expensive not worth the money paid, won't be going here again

The cafe was dirty. The seats were grotty and the tables needed a good clean as did the floor and seats.The cafe had little choice on the menu. The staff come across as rude and when the food come is was horrible.The bacon was fatty and undercooked. The chips were undercooked and the cup of tea was horrible.I will never return here. And wouldn't recommended to anybody.

we stopped in for a light snack and a cup of tea.The cup of tea is made for you (badly) tastes like it has been stewing for hours. Our food was swimming in grease. there are much better cafes in OswestryWill not be going back.
