Excellent lunch break on journey to North Wales. We enjoyed a baked potato with chilli and cheese, and a cheese sandwich with chilli jam. No queue, quick service and good value.

Seated quickly. Delicious, reasonably priced food served promptly. Service with a smile and lovely clean restaurant and toilet facilities. Only downside was that the restaurant was very, very busy and there was a group of six older people (mainly men) whose noise level was unbearably loud which made everybody else speak loudly to hear each other. I’ve not been in an environment so loud - not even a children’s play area! Not the staff’s fault though and they assured me it’s usually quieter so I’ll give it another go soon!

I have been here and eaten many times before and the food and service have been very good, not been for a while and today, I’m afraid, I was very disappointed! I ordered scrambled egg on toast with extra bacon, the bacon being an extra £1.60 per rasher, so I only had one! When it came it was more ‘transport cafe’ than ‘farm shop’! Sliced white bread from a packet, 2 slices on top of each other, with scrambled egg thrown on top and one rasher of rubbery bacon on the side. Didn’t see/taste quality at all! Very disappointing. Only positives, nice interior and the waitress was friendly and attentive.

An incredibly rude waiter. A group of friends and us came around 2:00 Sunday 15/09/24. The waiter took half our table’s food order (for cake) and then rudely walked off without asking the rest of the table. A Diet Coke was ordered from our table which never came and couldn’t catch the waiter to address this. Our group maintained good manners and patience the whole time. Yet, the waiter loudly said ‘smile and wave’ to the rest of the staff as the last of us were leaving. A very unpleasant experience for family and friends.

Because we had the dog, we were only able to sit on metal chairs with no cushions, on the veranda by cars with their engine running. Since it's summer, we didn't have the option of leaving it in the car. I'm not sure what was in the quiche of the day nor what was used to make the pastry

Lovely stop for us going from Leicester to Wales. Lovely food (onion rings are excellent) and drinks. Staff were great. And there's a farm shop next door, the only place I've found that does banana Yoghurt ❤️ they sell cheese, meat, vegetable and gifts too. Only little problem is traveling with a dog we have to sit outside, they have cover but not great if it really throws it down. But they have a water bowl for dog. But a great place x

It’s with a great deal of sadness I write this review As regular visitors we often call here on the way back from the gym. We saw the car park was relatively quiet so decided to stop for lunch We went in and asked for a table the young lady pointed to a table for two right by the door and where people stand to pay also it was extremely windy when the door was opened and closed The whole of the right hand side of tables where free I asked if we could sit on one of those Imagine my surprise when instead of saying of course she said no this is the only table for two I was so upset we decided not to stay What a shame everyone there has always been courteous and the food great It really ruined our day

A long time since we have eaten here, Covid has so much to answer for, but great to see that the Kitchen survived the lockdowns because it is a great spot for a good quality snack or lunch, and ideally located, just off the Shrewsbury bypass, on the road into mid Wales. You can sit in or out, if inside there is table service, if you decide to sit outside then you are asked to pop in and order at the front desk. A varied menu, something for all palettes and budgets. We had a quick Soup of the Day with Crusty Bread, dark, earthy Mushroom, creamy and full of flavour. Plenty of free parking, toilets on site. An excellent fuel stop.

This was a lovely place to stop for breakfast on our way to Snowdonia - we found the Cote Kitchen on Google maps so planned the stop. We got the last table inside at 9:30, so were relived at that. It was great to so many people enjoying themselves though and it seemed to be a mix of locals and people travelling. The fried breakfasts were superb. One of my sons had the waffles and these were disappointing though - thin shop ones rather than homemade and quite small overall.

A great cafe with a wonderful farm shop. We stop here every time on our way to the Welsh coast and the food is always just what we need. Today, it was a Sunday, and so their Sunday Roast was on the specials. £12.95 for a huge locally sourced roast with multiple choices! The beef, that I had was fantastic. Very tasty and butter soft! The Yorkshire was light and fluffy and topped off a brilliant meal. The sandwiches, which we have had on many occasions are always great and come with chips that are always crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Well worth stopping off at, or even a detour!

The Cote Kitchen is a little gem of a place. The quality of the meat here is second to none. We tried the burger at this visit, 8oz, and boy was it a treat. It's hard to describe the taste but, succulent and crammed full of flavour goes some of the way. Huge chips and overall a generous portion add to the experience, and the sachets of ketchup will change your mind on what ketchup should be like. If what you eat could be sourced on the farm, it probably is, and it really shows. My daughter's children's fish cake was rather generic, but very obviously not sourced on the farm. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere round off the experience. Well worth a visit.

We stopped here at about 11.40 on a Friday. We knew they had finished breakfast so expected to be able to order from the lunch menu. Nope. A rather abrupt person met me at the door, shoved (yes, shoved) a menu in my hand and said ‘lunch from 12’. No hello, nothing. I ordered two teas then took the menu to our table outside and chose what I wanted. Tried to order (now 11.50) and was told (again, very curtly) that they don’t even take lunch orders until 12. We decided to take away and chose sandwiches. Oh, my. They were the best sandwiches that I have had in a very long time. Eco friendly packaging, plenty of filling in extremely fresh bread, with salad leaves and home-made slaw as a side. A very mixed experience for us, but I’d go back again for those sandwiches.

Arrived at 11:50 for some lunch, ideally something hot after an early start & long drive from London. I was told breakfast had just finished and I could only have tea & cake. I was only killing time before a hotel check in so went with it, but while I was still eating my cake a table who arrived only moments after me got served with lots of plates hot food. Bizarre! Basically don't go here between the strangely rigid 11:35 - 12:00 hot food prohibition (as it was later explained to me). Apart from that the place seemed nice enough, I just wish someone had told me to hang on for ten minutes before I could order something else.

We had a wonderful one night stay here and wish we'd booked for longer, unfortunately they were fully booked for the second night we wanted (we were looking for a room from our very comfortable bed).
