Henlle Heights Restaurant & Coffee Shop in Shropshire

We stayed here at the beautiful henlle lodges we was in birchwood heights tree house. My daughter in law booked this as a surprise birthday for my son her partner. I just want to say we had an amazing stay was really impressed. The bedrooms was immaculately clean amongst the rest of the lodge it has everything you need and was clean. Thanx housekeeping team you do a brilliant job. The man who cleaned our hot tub was polite and helpful. All I can say is everything here we couldn’t fault. The lady on reception was lovely even rang us to check were fine and if we needed anything. We didn’t want to leave but we will be definitely be coming back. So thank you so much for making us welcome it’s such a beautiful place and the wildlife was a bonus 5stars for everything xx

We stayed here from Friday-Monday in the pet cabin and just wow. We did not have a pet either us however everything from the cleanliness, the views, the staff, the area, the food even everything down the water pressure was just perfect. We had the most incredible time and staff were the most polite and informative team we’ve even come across. The area has everything you’d need like petrol, shops cafes, and restaurants, however the evening food at henlle heights which is an Indian/burger menu was just incredible, definitely the best Indian we’ve ever tasted which was available to eat in or takeaway. The sun set shines on all the hot tubes in the evening and with the area being so peaceful it really is the most relaxing trip. The area was so clean and well taken care of with staff driving around in buggies making sure everything was okay. Just an all round perfect getaway. Would 100% go again and have recommended all family and friends to go here to!!

Breakfast for 6 on 13th March. A treat from visiting family. Everything about it was amazing and great value for money. Will defiantly be visiting again

We live 10m away yet never knew this place existed until a friend mentioned it. We went for bfast I put on the notes it was a bday bfast. When we arrived we were blown away it was beautiful we had a table with an amazing view they even put some balloons on the table and a birthday card. The staff were excellent and food lovely. This will become one of our favourite places to eat now

I absolutely love this place. Great location.But what really makes this an enjoyable stay is the staff. They are all happy and really friendly.

This is our 4th stay at Henlle Hall and 2nd at Tree Tops which is amazing. So comfortable & unique. We have stayed with friends & family and it works well for both groups. We dined in the restaurant for breakfast & evening meal and the food was very good on both occasions. Robyn was very welcoming & friendly as was the chap who helped with the bags & explained how the hot tub worked. It's definitely worth the trip from Cornwall & we hope to return.

We stayed for in The Stables, absolutely amazing, very spacious, warm and spotlessly clean. Everything you could possibly need was provided and the hot tub was an added bonus. Would highly recommend

We experienced both the Indian cuisine and the Sunday lunch and both were out of this world. Lovely staff who excelled at making you relaxed and welcome. The ambiance at Henlle is exactly right. Beautiful decor and outstanding views. Would travel the miles on a Sunday alone just to have that Sunday lunch again!

lovely food, great atmosphere and friendly staff

I came here 2 days after my wedding with my husband and 2 daughters. We arrived and the room had been dressed with balloons, rose petals, prosecco and treats for the children. We wanted somewhere where we didn't need to do much to wind down after the chaos of the wedding and we got just that. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Cosmo and Keeta were amazing and I cant thank them enough for their kindness with ourselves and the girls whilst we stayed. We loved it so much, we booked an extra night because none of us wanted to come home. The lodge was stunning, immaculate and they literally have everything covered during your stay. The food in the restaurant was out of this world....and the curry was the best we have had in a very long time. We all left very sad today just because we wanted to stay forever. Highly recommended. It is a hidden gem. Thank you all for everything and making our mini-moon so perfect. Lots of love, the newlywed Mr and Mrs Ryan Jones xxxx

Had a Sunday lunch here as was staying at their Hidden Firs retreat down the road… could not believe we hadn’t tried it sooner. The portions were fantastic the food was cooked lovely and the puddings were incredible and everything was a fantastic value for money, 2 three courses and four drink £80!

The seven of us really enjoyed the meal. None of us had been to Henlle Heights before, but will be returning. Our only criticism is the confusion between Henlle Heights and Henlle Hall. We were not aware that Henlle Heights was on the Henlle Hall campus. Some of us had landed up at the caravan site, others had passed the restaurant not realising that was it, and carried on.

Disappointing, menu didn't look or taste as discribed. Beef wasn't pink and the gammon wasn't very nice either. Below average unfortunately.

Excellent surroundings, service and meal. We've eaten here before and knew we were in for a treat. The nicest curry we've ever had!

We dined inside and ordered from the Sunday lunch menu. All meals were delicious. Service was great - staff were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Excellent atmosphere in beautiful tree house setting. We'll definitely be back again.

Beautiful breakfast. 1/2 Henlle for my friend, omelette with bacon, cheese and mushrooms for me. Toast and coffee. This is my 'go to' place when wanting t eat out. A little gem hidden away.

Absolutely fantastic evening for valentines. The meals were exceptional and the staff so friendly and attentive without hovering. The place was decorated beautifully we can’t wait to go back.

The setting and atmosphere is beautiful and the service (more so from the bartender) was lovely, couldn’t have been better. The food was.. okay. The curry that I had had an overpowering taste of cardamon, to the point that I couldn’t really taste anything else. We’d come back for a drink in the summer, but not sure that we’d return for food!

Booked a table for lunch, having previously only had breakfasts at Henlle. The service, atmosphere and food were excellent. We ate inside and took our coffees outside to the terrace afterwards. Henlle is a fairly new discovery for us and we love it.

3rd time wev'e been here now and booked in for October aswell , accommodation is first class ,The Smithy was pristine , very helpful staff , went to Hennle Heights last night for the Mumbai Indian buffet , what can i say , food was amazing , great choice piping hot , the dishes were all explained to us by a very nice gentleman called Ram , he is a star always smiling , chatty , there was a party of 36 people in just after we sat down, Ram sorted all them out aswell as the other 10 guests with precision, the young Slovakian/Italian server was excellent aswell didn't catch his name though all in all an amazing meal , Lastly ordered the ballon package and flowers delivered to The Smithy which were set up in our rooms when we walked in , wife was stunned ( Brownie points for me ) lol , all in all an amazing stay again can't wait till october now 😀

Table of 4 adults, 5.30pm booking on a Saturday evening. We arrived and were at our table for 10 minutes before anyone came to offer menu’s and drinks. The service was not very attentive overall and we were asked to vacate our table before we had even been offered sweets. We duly complied and noted numerous tables of 2 available, whilst other tables of 4 had 2 guests on these. With a little thought / organisation we could have stayed at our table, been offered sweets and more drinks. Unfortunately due to the lack of foresight the restaurant missed out on additional income and had guests that will return as the food was outstanding but the service does need to improve. I would suggest a restaurant manager to be on hand and restaurant has all the potential to be amazing.

Was a very limited menu. Mainly burgers. My beef burger was thin and overcooked. Cheap meat used. Chips and pudding were OK. Staff lovely and friendly.

Tonight, we experienced an Indian meal that was nothing short of extraordinary—truly the best we've ever tasted! You could genuinely feel the love and attention poured into every dish; it was light-years ahead of what you’d expect from typical Indian cuisine. And the service? Simply impeccable! Every staff member we encountered was not only polite and friendly but also genuinely accommodating. A special shout-out to Drew, who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. His warm demeanor and willingness to cater to our every need made a world of difference. It was a refreshing change to receive such outstanding hospitality. An evening to remember for sure!

Hands down one of the best Indian meals we have ever had. Exceptional quality food, excellent menu, and the waiter was very knowledgeable on menu choices.

What a lovely surprise it was to find this fantastic place. I was meeting a friend for coffee, we upgraded to food. I woulddefinitely want to come and stay, but I only live in shrewsbury it was a delight to walk about in the winter light.

We really enjoyed the Indian buffet. We thought the food was really good and it was great value. The service was really good to with the waiters being really friendly and professional.

Service and surroundings were really good, the meat was a little tough but otherwise an amazing relaxed atmosphere and everything else was lovely, would definitely book again for sunday lunch.

I booked a short break at Henlle heights for my birthday, the cabin was lovely. It was very clean, well equipped and warm and cosy!! The hot tub was amazing. The staff were extremely welcoming, polite and friendly. The food was exceptional!!!

Visited here a few times, first time as a surprise retirement do .didn't even know this place existed, and I only live about 7 miles away. Had a fab evening! Last nights occasion was my daughters birthday. Indulged in a wonderful Indian meal which was absolutely yummy 😋 Lovely friendly staff and surroundings will definitely be retuning, thank you for a lovely evening.

The cabins are perfect, warm and well equipped, the hot tub is lovely and the spacing between cabins is good so it feels very private, we had the food at the restaurant and it was amazing from the food to the service we enjoyed every minute of our stay and would recommend to everyone

Lovely occasion and wonderful service

Go twice a year, love it, can't fault it. Everything is high class quality from the log cabins, staff,service and restaurant. Owners are lovely people that I would call friends now as been going here so long. Lots to do in the area. I have recommended this place to lots of people who go on a regular basis now. I will be booking again as just returned from another fabulous weekend break at @Henlle hall woodland lodges

The only thing stopping this from being a fully 5 star review is that the service was slow. The staff were all working hard, professional and attentive, but there needs to be more of them. Flavours in the Indian food were the best we have had, would definately recommend.

We have been staying at one of the cottages at Henlle Hall so have been to eat twice at Henlle Heights over the weekend. Both meals were exceptional & the service provided by the staff was outstanding. Helpful & friendly in every way. We had a lovely chat with Drew who was very welcoming.

Beautiful food and great prices.

We stayed in one of the treehouses which were absolutely beautiful. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. We also ate in the restaurant and the food and service were fabulous. All of the staff we encountered from reception to the restaurant were brilliant. We couldn't have wished for any more and highly recommend!

An excellent location, staff group and venue. The staff cannot do enough, are always smiling and so lovely no matter what you ask! The accommodation was clean, quiet and just so nice to be in - would absolutely recommend this place to anyone that asks Managers of Henlle Hall - you have an excellent staff group, clearly well looked after and happy at work!!

What do People want from a Restaurant?, well what I want is Fantastic food,Friendly Staff,Competitively priced and as a bonus a Lovely Setting. Well Henlle Heights has all of the above. This is not the first time I have given this place a 5 star review. It is Predominately an Indian Restaurant and Boy it is Sensational,we eat there quite Regularly and the standards never drop I have never been to a better one. The Staff are also the Friendliest ever, they are so welcoming to everyone it feels like meeting family members. As for the prices well they are competitive but the Quality of the food could merit more(but please dont🤭😉). As for the Setting well its in a massive treehouse overlooking some wonderful countryside so even that is perfect as well. The Standards never dip WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK. As you can see from the review our family adore the Place ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We have had a lovely evening at Henlle Heights trying the new menu. The depth of flavour in the curry was delicious, not your usual curry. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, we were served by Drew this evening, who made us feel welcome and provided an excellent service. They were busy but it all appeared to be very well run, we didn't have to wait too long for our food and drinks. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful weekend away from the very first moment we arrived to the moment we left! Lovely welcoming staff, the most beautiful accommodation, with every single thing you could need thought of, amazing hot tub complete with robes, slippers and flip flops! Food is lovely and not too pricey, drinks are reasonably priced in my opinion. Sunday lunch is perfect! Booked return visit for January before we even left and are hoping to book again for the summer. We'll done to all the team, every member of staff we interacted with were friendly and went above and beyond! A big thank you also to Keta, despite us wandering onto private land, ooops, she was so kind and welcomed us to her home, the deer padock was beautiful

We stayed at Henlle Hall and ate at Henlle Heights twice during our stay. We experienced high quality service both times - staff were attentive and friendly, making our 2 children feel extremely welcome. The food was fantastic! The Indian was delicious. The Sunday dinner was also brilliant.

Exceptional lodges with luxury furnishings in a relaxing environment. High quality, good wholesome food in the restaurant and employees can't do enough for you.

Atmosphere in restaurant and site very good but VERY little effort made in our cabin. It's Xmas and all we get is a 6" tree! Last year we had a lodge with you and it had lights and full size tree, Xmas card etc. Very disappointing.

What an amazing place! We book for lunch. We had turkey off the festive menu it was delicious. We will definitely be back.

A little disappointed with our visit to Henlle heights on 21/12/24 we had made a reservation online the night before for a meal for a table for 2. Called the restaurant in the day to check the reservation had gone through which it had. Once arrived and seated at our table we were told they were not serving Indian food tonight because it was a Christmas menu for one week, which we were a bit disappointed with as we’re were going with intentions of have a Indian and we were not informed of this when we called the restaurant earlier in the day, but because we were there we thought oh it will be a nice Christmas menu and we will have selection of meals, but to be disappointed yet again when we were handed a small lunch time menu with no Christmas inspired meals at all. Very little choice. Order was taken quickly and food was on the table within 10 minutes there was not attention paid to customers at only when bringing food and clearing plates, there was no asking is everything ok with meal or would you like any more drinks, we had to make a trip to the bar to ask for more drinks , would be totally understandable if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t 10 customers at the most and the stages Seamed to us everything was already pre cooked and very basic. We left the restaurant really disappointed as we’re had heard really good reviews.

When we arrived we were shown to our table then told theirs no "INDIAN FOOD" On the menu! I was shocked and confused by this and asked.. Why? Its an Indian restaurant right? "Tablet boy / Waiter" answered its Christmas week! we will be doing Indian food next week! So we thought we would give it a try has we were already here & seated, again feeling quite disappointed and frustrated looking that this poor attempt of a menu, Only lite lunch style meals being served! , felling confused as to why they cant serve Indian food? but also unable to offer anything even remotely festive! (Christmas week) Why is the restaurant open in the evenings if you cant be bothered to serve any form food you normally would? Why would you take a phone reservation and not mention an extremely important fact like this? "we just cant be bothered this week" Who ever takes these phone bookings and does not mention something this important should be sacked. Why is none of this advertised? It felt like they couldn't care less! The food we did have was no better than a Wetherspoons menu, even less so in terms of choice. I ordered a pint of Guinness, when it was served it wasn't even two thirds full! When i asked why? I was told... Its pored from a different can! What ever that means? Again a, couldn't careless attitude.

We came for a special anniversary of my wife and I meeting 63 years ago, and the occasion was extremely pleasant with the table set beautifully with flowers and bubbly and very helpful staff. Thank you all once again John and Chris x

Always love coming here.. usually for coffee or lunch..this visit was to Indian buffet to bring some friends that were staying with us..they loved it too

Our first visit, and certainly won't be our last. We had an amazing stay so calm and relaxing 😌, the staff at the restaurant was amazing 👏 what an amazing atmosphere the staff couldn't do enough. Andre and his staff were simply the best, the food was beautiful 😍 nest Sunday dinner we have had and the Indian on Saturday night was brilliant 👏. Will 💯 be returning next year.

Lovely restaurant and very festive. Unfortunately no-one was at the door to greet us so had a short wait to be seated. Ordered diet cokes and pint of lager. Full sugar cokes were served. Christmas lunch was served very quickly. The accompanying veg could have been cooked a little more but we were all impressed with the amount and presentation of the food. The desserts were fabulous although some of the crackers on the cheeseboard smelt very strange..plainer ones would have been appreciated. We asked for the bill and paid in cash although we had to take it to the bar as no-one came back to collect it. Generally everyone enjoyed their meal and the roaring fire, lights and Christmas music made it memorable. We would definitely book again.

Great venue but could do with signage to direct you to the restaurant. The food lacked flavour and had no kick to it. I asked for my Madras to be extra spicy. The waiter said they would make it so but I have had hotter buttered chicken.

Gorgeous restaurant in a lovely setting, the staff were very attentive and Sunday dinner was excellent.

Pleasant enough, feels more like a cafe than a restaurant. Food was ok, but the veg served with the Sunday roast needs to be in proportion to the meal, not just a heap of various elements. Less and better cooked would have been preferable. Cauliflower was not cooked, cabbage overcooked, 9 veg is madness, concentrate on fewer and do them well.

Some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted. The waiters were excellent.

The whole place is utterly beautiful. The staff are so lovely they couldn’t have made us and the dog anymore welcome. We had lunch and the food and service was amazing. The accommodation was spotless and everything you can think of is provided including dog treats!! We will definitely be rebooking.

It was my first visit here, my 2 companions had been previously, one of them for dinner and one of them for coffee. Lovely building, great views, nice and warm with the central fire. Excellent service and delicious food
