We dropped in on Bank Holiday Monday on the off chance for lunch. First time we'd eaten here but will not be the last - already booked in for another meal next week. I had the beef & stilton pie & I can honestly say it was one if the best pies I've had when eating out - great shortcrust pastry - loads of delicious filling (portion size was outstanding), brilliant proper chips, jug of gravy and a choice of mushy or garden peas (got to have mushy of course)! Wife had chicken goujon panini with a chili jam (which was not too spicy) & chips - she rated it as delicious. Very friendly owners - we were made to feel very welcome. Heartily recommended.

Wow, amazing meal tonight, the gammon I'm not exaggerating was the best ever, thick meat, real chunk of pineapple not cheap tinned rings, and the swapped peas for my favourite beans ! scampi lovely, real chips and kids eat for 3 quid , the size of kids meals was very generous and an ice cream after, the pint of madri was crisp and clean. Thank you so much, we will be back for sure.

The food was a good plate size, all homemade. We had cheese pie ,chips, peas,cheese sauce, Lovely , Will be back again Good value for money

Our second visit for food first Sunday lunch. This time bankholiday meal out. Food outstanding can't fault it. Amazing service would definitely recommend.

We had a buffet for 120 people delivered today – the food arrived on time and there was plenty for everyone. There was a huge variety of food, including vegan and vegetarian options, with everyone commenting on how delicious it all was! Our company has had lots of buffets over the years and this was by far the best!

Really lovely food and friendly staff. Open on Bank Holiday for food all afternoon . The belly pork was gorgeous and the veg was fresh and tasty.

Not over impressed with the menu very little choice. The eating area was within the bar that was very noisy. It was busy with workmen obviously on their way home. Meals were certainly nothing to rave about.

Steak pie was excellent, beer good, bit dated inside.

First time visitor and we all had a great meal. Great value for money on the food. We are definitely going back again. Fish Friday 👍🏼

Had Sunday lunch at The Falcon today. Choice of Roast Beef, Chicken or Gammon or a vegetarian option. Had the Beef and Chicken, excellent meal, lots of vegetables, potatoes and loads of Chicken, plenty of gravy on the meal. We both ate all of our meals, lovely. Recommend a meal here, plenty of parking also.

First time we have been to this pub but I can strongly recommend it good food and good service happy days.

Wonderfully friendly.. I booked a table with my Sister and Mum. We had lunch before spreading Dads ashes at his beloved Woore Cricket club. Food is amazing, staff attentive and friendly. They even had a great young local chap singing.. Great local pub. Thank you

We went as a family of 4 on Father’s Day. And we all said it was the best Sunday dinner we have ever had in a pub 100%. Even including the deserts they was top notch and could tell everything that was served was home made.

Had Sunday lunch and was delicious. The ingredients are clearly high quality and are expertly cooked. Portions are pretty big. Staff are nice and friendly.

The food was absolutely delicious, great portion sizes, piping hot and home cooked. The service was superb, attentive but not pushy. There was a fab atmosphere as a very talented young man entertained, singing and playing the guitar. An overall enjoyable experience, we will definitely visit again.

After seeing the board outside the falcon in Woore, on a Friday evening advertising ‘chippy tea for £10’ we decided to call in on spec after a 3 hour drive. We received a wonderfully warm welcomed from the landlord and his team. We both opted for the cod and chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce from the menu. The potion sizes were very generous and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be returning

After driving past this pub for over 40 years we finally decided to try it out . Will definitely be returning Food was great ( steak and guiness pie )and staff attentive

Stayed for 1 night in our motorhome and had a meal for 5 too. Messaged ahead to check they had space for us,Sally was very helpful and prompt with replies. They saved us space and offered to help when we got there. Water is available via outside tap. Toilets available when pub open. Lovely home cooked food, we all loved the chips! Great stop off if you're passing through.

Homemade pies tasted amazing and at a reasonable price as well. Serving Staff were very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere in there

Just had a really enjoyable evening meal to celebrate Judi's Birthday. The staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble, and the food was excellent. There is a good selection of traditional beers, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. It's so nice to go into a tradition pub with such a welcoming atmosphere where you feel at ease as soon as you walk in. will be going again and would certainly recommend.

Best steak n ale pie n chips i have had in a pub, proper homemade all of it! Even the chips were real fresh cut chips and the gravy as were the puddings...

Amazing Friday chippy tea. It was 2 adults and 2 children and the staff were very accommodating and lovely as usual. Food was great value and so lovely and fresh.

We visited yesterday after lots of recommendations from friends. The Sunday lunch was amazing, the best one we’ve had in a long time in fact! The cauliflower cheese was something else and wow, the belly pork just melted in my mouth! We’ll definitely pass on our recommendations so that others will have the pleasure too!

Chippy tea Fridays, fish chips and peas of your choice, great value for money and the fish are really nice, a choice of cod or haddock, other menu available as well with about 5 choices on it, lovely staff who are very helpful and very polite, drinks also served from the table which is a bonus in my eyes 👀

Excellent food and excellent service from Mitch. Will certainly be returning 😊 We had the Sunday roast my husband had the belly pork and I had the beef both cooked to perfection. The vegetables were superb especially the sweet potatoe mash.

Excellent food, great service and nice environment. I had Chinese chicken with half rice and chips, and my daughter had southern fried chicken. Really tasty and for £10 for each, really good value. We will be back!

Took the family for the Sunday roast recently , fantastic meal served by the lovely Eve who was attentive and efficient.

Found this pub today after a visit to bridgemere. We are so glad we did the food was amazing, home cooked and great value. We had our toddler with us and they were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you again we will be back.

Loved this little pub, the staff couldn't help us enough & the food was amazing. Price wise it was average would definitely recommend.

This was a random stop and we had no prior knowledge of this place. I can honestly say I've not enjoyed a roast so much in years. Generously portions, beautiful taste, and Timothy Taylors Landlord on tap. 5 stars from me.

Went on good Friday with family recieved a friendly welcome the service, portion size and staff were fantastic thank u If i had to criticise anything the car parks a little tight to get out of

Fantastic service with food to match. Friendly welcoming staff. Slowly becoming our local even though not local to us.

Advertised as dog friendly. A large sign on entrance to car park states this. We walked in and immediately told that we weren't allowed in the eating area as we had a dog! We could go in the bar area that was full of boozing locals and no spare tables or go in an empty, dismal looking pool room. Actually, they did us a favour because we went up the road to another pub called the Ottly Arms and had a great meal where everywhere was dog friendly.

We came for Mothers Day. 3 course meal. It was delicious 😋 Service was very good. Didn’t have to wait at all. Food great value for money. Would highly recommend and we’ll be back. X

Just back from a lovely Sunday lunch at The Falcon. Would have liked a few more green vegetables but nonetheless really enjoyed it.

Haven’t lived in the UK for sometime. Came to visit family and we had the nicest roast dinner. Fresh, hot and the service was brilliant. I hope management will keep this up.

What a absolute gem of a pub, from the minute you walk in you are properly taken care of fantastic service by all staff, Sunday lunch is a must if you visit this pub absolutely delicious, we have been here 3 times now & will definitely be going back

What a pleasant surprise revisiting the Falcon at Woore. We hadn't been for some years and were slightly apprehensive but we shouldn't have been worried. It has had a comprehensive makeover and been given a modern style. Sunday lunch was limited but probably that's due to the high quality of the meals offered. Staff were efficient and attentive to our requirements serving our meals in good time (not a fast food restaurant), drinks orders were also tended to in good time. Overall, this pub is back to an excellent place to take a leisurely meal. Oh! Nearly forgot, plenty of of good beers on tap. Well done staff and management for opening up another place on the list of eating establishments we can go to.

Booked a three course Christmas meal for a party of three, table setting was lovely and lovely Christmas atmosphere, service was as expected with attentive staff. Food was delicious and arrived to the table hot. Could not fault anything the flavours of the roast turkey meal were well worth the 30 min drive and will defiantly be calling again

Nice this is back open and busy. A rurall village like Woore needs a good pub. Didn't eat but the Friday 'chippy tea' looks good.

This is a review of my experience and also a response to the landlady who responded to my husband's previous review (since Google doesn't allow a further reply). The food was good and I did enjoy it. Beef roast dinner was great and the beef was lovely. There was a long wait for the food. The landlady's response to my husband's previous review said we would have been advised of a 45 minute wait for food. We most definitely weren't, because we may have decided not to eat there since we had a young child with us. The landlady's review reply also stated it was a busy Sunday and that they always try to accommodate walk-ins. We were not a walk-in, we had a table for seven pre-booked. Other tables around us also complained about the wait for food. I can't comment on if they were walk-ins or were booked in. I appreciate the landlady's comment that they prioritise serving existing bookings but this was not the case for us so please do not excuse the long wait time on our table being a walk-in, because we weren't. Please check your booking record - table for 6 plus one high chair at 12.30pm. We had an issue with an allergy query which the landlady has since worsened by insinuating this was our mistake. I don't think it is acceptable to not know the full ingredients of any item on the menu, whether it is bought in or made on-site. That is not taking allergy advice seriously, as the landlady stayed they do. We asked for the stuffing to be served in a separate dish since nobody could tell us what nuts are in it. The stuffing was served in a separate dish.... but this dish was placed on the plate which already had more of the same stuffing on it amongst the other food items which was exactly what we had asked not to happen. The landlady's review response says she is not sure why we are saying it was mixed with other food. Perhaps because it was? Why would we be mistaken about this? Obviously we take our child's nut allergy seriously and we have no reason to be untruthful about that. Other diners should be aware that your allergy practices were lacking. We didn't send the food back since we were already fed up with the long wait and the back and forth over allergy queries and chasing up drinks that had been ordered and not arrived. So we simply made up a toddler plate of food from our table's plates which did not come with stuffing. Certainly not the servers fault. Our servers were all friendly and kind. It's a real shame I've had to write this review in response to the landlady. I was prepared to just chalk it up to an exceptionally busy day for the pub but good food in the end but the landlady's reply to my husband's review made me feel the need to correct some points made. An unfortunate stance to take towards customers with genuine concerns and even worse to make apologies for how servers relaid information and managed situations which wasn't the issue at all - the issues were further up the chain that day. Would gladly have returned for the food alone but sadly I will not now. Happy to be contacted directly by the pub if needs be.

Pretty disappointing experience. The food was actually very delicious, but took around an hour to come to the table. The place wasn't particularly busy, and there were other tables that had the same experience. Our 2 year old daughter has a severe peanut allergy, so my wife asked if any of the meals contained nuts. The waitress told us that the stuffing contained nuts, so we asked if she could check with the kitchen which type. She came back a few minutes later and told us that the chef didn't know which type, which we found pretty odd, unacceptable and dangerous. We therefore asked if the stuffing for mine could come in a separate dish, so my daughter could have some of my food and we wouldn't risk it coming into contact with anything that could make her poorly. It did come out in a dish on the side of the plate, that, weirdly, was plonked on top of another pile of stuffing that was mixed with the food. Not cool at all. We won't be back.

Couldn't fault the food, lovely and piping hot and stayed that way . Plenty of food, next time I will have the small roast as was too much for me. Overall a lovely place to go to eat. Also the beer us good

All I can say is it’s so lovely to have a great pub back in the village. Sally and Steve have made a drastic change to The Falcon and me and my partner love spending our free time playing pool in the pool room and having a bite to eat! The steak and guiness pie is to die for! The southern fried chicken sandwich is also incredibly yummy. (Yum yum😉) Thank you for your continued hospitality when we come to visit! With plenty of outdoor seating for sunny days, this pub is a must try. Thanks for your hard work Sally, Steve & staff x

Fabulous food. I dont like cheese very much. However i had a cheese sauce with my meal that was to die for.

Four of us booked for Sunday lunch and it was fabulous. My son is over from Australia and said it was the best roast beef lunch he had had in a long time. Very helpful staff, ample parking, delicious desserts and such reasonable prices. Well done to new owners.

first visit to the pub, we had a family Sunday lunch and it was fabulous we all thoroughly enjoyed it. we had 2 small children with us and Sally went out of her way to serve them anything they wanted, plenty of choice. We will returning thoroughly recommend.

Staff were very helpful and professional. Drinks were very nice apart from the coffee which was far too sweet. There was room for improvement with the roasts as they were under par with most pubs.

Having been in the other day when this incident happened with the children there wasn't a dirty nappy thrown at all. As a landlady you should be disgusted shouting and swearing at this poor family and they wernt in for several hours drinking .I was in befor these came in and they left befor me and I was there for nearly 3 hours with friends. Safe to say friends who was with works for the local press so they will love you vile nasty comments you have left. No friends of this couple that your accusing me of

A friend came here & her two year old was swore at for removing his sandals. What horrible staff you must have. Wants closing. EDIT: The fact that they’ve replied with a load of lies is evidence of their vile characters.

Following on from the last review left I thought I best clarify some facts lied about in the response. As well as highlight what lead to this impasse. For starters we weren’t there for “several hours” and no “dirty”nappy was ever removed and thrown. Especially if you’re saying it was my daughter who was in her push chair. Eye witnesses, there was two excluding staff which are friends of mine who were happily playing with my son when the “landlord” told my partner to “pick up his crap” after he took his crocs off. We’ve been several times and each time the “landlord” has been rude, dismissive and basically told us our trade doesn’t constitute us being customers, for example when we asked for one of their two high chairs we were told they are reserved for customers. So when I asked whether I should pick up the dogs toys and bowls as well littering the room after cleaning up my sons crocs he retorted and then our argument ensued. Including his comment that he “didn’t want screaming kids in his bar”. The landlady was certainly not in room when this happened, maybe she was in the restaurant but she’d have seen no nappy was involved, so another lie is saying she was present. In 20 years I have never once had an issue in one of the three pubs of Woore. But the attitude of this management team is the most appalling I have ever come across.

Grosser Parkplatz vorhanden. Sitzplätze innen als auch reichlich aussen vorhanden. Macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Frisch renovierte Toiletten. Mein Burger war sehr lecker.
