Fish and chips with a difference… a prime piece of haddock. The crispest batter… the chips are amazing… and oh those crushed peas. Shame it’s only on a Thursday. Wonderful. Thanks to Chef Blaine and th inimitable Michelle front of house.
Although it was an extremely busy Sunday lunchtime and there was very limited space , the very friendly staff managed to accommodate us , thankfully. We had a wonderful roast dinner with a couple of excellent pints of local ale and cider.
Highly recommended this venue and would definitely love to come back. Tremendous.
What an amazing little gem! Visiting Shrewsbury to meet up with a friend, and we were looking for somewhere to set up for food and a catch up on a Friday afternoon. It was nice and quiet for us, staff very friendly and attentive, food delicious and good value for money, with good music playing in the background. Would happily visit again and recommend to others
Absolutely great stay, room was lovely, very spacious and clean. Great shower in good size bathroom. Very dog friendly, in the bar, restaurant and room. Location wise, perfect, right in the centre of town, every walkable, great private car park. Very friendly staff! Great beers on tap. Meal deal for dinner was £16 for a main which included a small wine or a beer and the breakfast, which was included, was fantastic - a full english breakfast, or you could make-your-own option too. Nothing to fault - would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay and fantastic value for money.
Wonderfully positive experience.
Excellent samosas served with mango chutney and salad followed by turmeric ginger cake which is gorgeous.
I tried it with a pot of turmeric tea. Dream food on a very cold day.
Can't wait for my next visit.
We stayed at Ashlea Pools for a week so thought we would try the cafe while on site.
The pizzas were massive, bigger than I expected and pretty tasty.
On the day we were leaving we popped into the cafe for a breakfast and decided to have the breakfast ciabatta.
It was really good, much more food than I expected for the price. 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, tomato and hash browns on a really soft and tasty ciabatta roll.
Very good value wish we'd tried it sooner!
The cakes look amazing so will have to come back to try one.
Lovely Thai bistro with a good choice of authentic Thai food. We enjoyed all our dishes but the Tiger Cry (marinated beefsirloin) was especially delicious. Great service too! Definitely recommend.

Went to listen to Nic Evans; brilliant
Cafe has a really nice feel to it and the menu some interesting dishes which we must go back and try My wife really enjoyed her Bailey's coffee
Excellent coffee and handily located for the castle and when passing through. The cakes are sometimes homemade but the bought in Victoria sponge I had was pretty good. The pricing is VERY competitive and the service friendly. Altogether a positive experience.
