Excellent coffee and handily located for the castle and when passing through. The cakes are sometimes homemade but the bought in Victoria sponge I had was pretty good. The pricing is VERY competitive and the service friendly. Altogether a positive experience.

Passing through and stopped here , can recommend the fish finger bap and the bacon wrap , home made coleslaw and fries with sea salt and rosemary were yummy. Lovely friendly staff . Toilets need attention but not sure if that is the council responsibility

Great little place for tea and a cake. Or lunch. Home made cakes available and delicious menu. Always a number of specials available (highly recommended). Staff are friendly, service prompt. The only drawback is a lack of vegan options…

Had a really good Afternoon Tea here today in a lovely setting with friendly staff. There was a good variety of sandwiches, savouries and cakes in good supply, we even had to take some home! It was quite good value for money with limitless top ups of the teapot!

We were surprised and delighted to come across this cafe when visiting Whittington Castle. We stopped for latte and cake, which was delicious. The cafe was busy and offered a good range of lunch and snack food. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is also dog friendly.

This is a wonderful cafe, you can walk round the castle ruins, my husband tried the Burger wobbler, it was massive, he was the first person to try it.

Everything served here has a bit of quality. Nice bread used for sandwiches, really interesting rainbow salad and very tasty coleslaw. Do not pass on the rosemary fries, very moreish! Didn't have room for scones but a lot being served and looked good. And beautiful setting.

Excellent coffee and cakes. The staff are very friendly and happy. We always have a great experience here. Very pretty surroundings - next to the village pond and the castle. No need for blinds - it’s nice to enjoy the sunshine!

Brilliant Thank you for our table that I reserved. It was busy but staff managed brilliantly. Food excellent and very tasty, great value. As a veggie I wouldn't like chips frying in same oil as fish fingers but you explained this. Food was ace. Could improve with blinds at windows it was bright 🌞

Super fresh food served up in a small community owned castle. Menu isn't extensive but what is served up is made to order and not just reheated. Very dog friendly and highly recommend if you are in the area.

Ive been visiting here since summer last year and love dropping in, its probably more of a cafe, but the reality is that its closer to a bistro in terms of the quality of the food they present. The menu isnt huge but what they do is done really well. Theres ample car parking and though you have to pay you also get free access to the castle grounds, whilst also helping to support a worthwhile independent organisation. At the moment the toilet facilities are limited to a portaloo, however theyre currently constructing a purpose built toilet building. The coffees are really nice (not vending machine etc) but freshly made, as is all of the food ive tried so far. There's a great selection of homemade cakes and price wise i think its really great value considering the quality. The staff are great and really friendly and dogs are welcome also, at the moment you order your food and drink is taken care of by the staff (usually Becky and Jess) and id say a typical wait is no more than ten to fifteen minutes even when its fairly busy. In the summer theres often events held within the castle grounds which is what caught my attention when i was passing on my motorbike so keep an eye out for future events.

Met up with friends for lunch and was not disappointed. The cafe was clean, and comfortable with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Food was delicious, and loads of vegan/vegetarian choices. A feast for both mouth and eyes! Would highly recommend to anyone.

1st time visit whilst on holiday, but whenever we visit nr Oswestry this will be the place we will come ,the Landlord and landlady where the best pleasant and chearfull, the staff who served us where very nice, and food well there lots to choose from, and as a Camra member it was great to see 3 nice local beers (all nice) yes tried them all (not driving) .but what a gem of a pub, called cross keys I believe once, now called the Docks. Why I don't know , nowhere near Liverpool
