Genuinely a fine dining experience

Excellent. Had a wonderful Sunday lunch, everything was perfect. Lovely pub with beautiful burning log fire; very welcoming, great atmosphere, staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Will definitely be visiting again.

Found this pub through Britstops. Car park a bit on the small side for vans however, couldn’t fault the service or service. Pub was very busy and obviously well supported by local clientele. Definitely one to remember when we are in this area again.

Brilliant pub. Toilets exceptionally clean which I find reflects cleanliness of whole constabulary. Credit to your cleaner Janine. All staff very friendly and adequate staff for amount of customers. Never have to wait to be server

We fancied a change of scene and after reading the reviews about The Three Horseshoes decide to try lunch there. Firstly we were struck by how clean and neat the pub looked. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, the service was excellent. We both chose Ham eggs and chips with a side of onion rings. The food arrived quickly and was fabulous and the portions were large, tasted really nice and we ate every bit! The pub was busy and the atmosphere was calm with a mix of customers. We decided within minutes we would be back here again with friends to sample the evening menu and then try the Sunday lunch at another time. Great pub, great food, great staff, so pleased we went and looking forward to returning soon.

Fabulous food which was great value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient, made us and our dog very welcome. Highly recommended.

Birthday meal for 10 people. Everyone had a good hot meal. The liquor coffees round off the night well. The waitresses were fabulous, we were upstairs in the conference room.

A lovely setting with great views. We had Sunday lunch with family which included one vegetarian. The staff were very helpful and attentive without being obtrusive. The food was excellent! We will definitely visit again.

This lovely place is in our nearest village and yet we cannot believe we have never been here before - we have been missing out on a real gem. Visited here for the first time with friends and family on Saturday. They could not be more accommodating especially as we had a small baby in a pram. The staff were helpful and Emily and the young lad sorry did not get his name obviously enjoyed their jobs, the food was gorgeous and the value for money was second to none. We will definitely be back thank you

We were recommended by a friend for Sunday lunch What a fab meal we had ! tasty tasty beef ,crunchy fluffy roasts ,huge Yorkie! And lovely tasty hot veg and to top it all staff were lovely and attentive Well done Harry you are doing a great job ! 👏

We made in impromptu stop here and had a superb Sunday lunch. The staff were lovely. The lunch was everything you’d hope for, crunchy roasties, perfectly cooked meat, tender veggies (just the right amount), home made stuffing and Yorkshire pudding, tasty gravy. They just got everything right. Excellent pint of Bathams too. All extremely reasonably priced.

Just got back from a very tasty roast dinner. Typical traditional roast where the meat was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of veg to go round.

Called in for lunch on a Saturday after visiting the country park. Had no booked, but got a table even though it was quite busy for a wet Saturday. Staff were lovely and the food really good. Definitely recommend.

A large booking of 20 people for Sunday lunch, and everyone’s meal was excellent, along with the service. Would highly recommend.

We have just had an early family Christmas meal. From the staff serving our pre drinks to the waiting staff and food…..well it was all wonderful. Thank you especially for my gluten free food.

We chose this place to meet up and what a good choice it was. Fabulous food and Atmosphere.

What can I say but great food, wonderful staff and people. Excellent choice of ales, lagers and ciders. There’s also a good variety of spirits. Not sure about the wine I don’t drink it. The pub is also absolutely spotlessly clean with roaring open fire to greet you on a cold day. The beer garden has a fantastic play area with wonderful vistas. And the Sunday dinners are tremendous.

We stopped on the off chance for lunch today - so glad we did. Plenty of parking with a warm, friendly & helpful welcome. We chose a table in the bar to eat and loved the menu choice. It’s so nice to see a traditional pub serving really good food. Next time I think we may try the sandwiches as they looked amazing. Thank you - will be returning.

Excellent main meal and desserts, all beautifully cooked and presented, polite helpful staff. Good choice of larger meals or sandwiches with chips etc. dining area clean, toilets too. Lovely place for a meal and wonderful views over the valley.

We stayed over in our Campervan on the way to south of England. Parked in the lovely grassy field below the main car park, a very quiet night. We ate in the restaurant, excellent friendly service, the steak and wine pie is to die for!

Absolutely amazing cosy village pub. The food is beautiful I'm gluten free and nothing too much trouble. The Eton mess is the best I've ever tasted. We enjoyed a perfect Sunday roast for Mother’s Day. The beef was beautifully tender and served with a tasty selection of veg, a huge Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy. My son enjoyed the Turkey, especially as he had a Yorkshire pudding too! Amazing dessert...

Went for Sunday lunch this week, not sure what to expect as had been told it was a new chef. Safe to say the food was amazing and I can definitely recommend the mushroom stater and the beef for main. Looked like a good selection of ales on tap for those who like but I’m a lager man myself so enjoyed a nice couple of pints of Prava. Would highly recommend this place, worth having a look at the rest of the main menu too, I’m looking forward to sampling it!
