Yet another excellent meal with outstanding service

The Shoes is our local pub and a firm favourite in our house! This weekend we had family up from Cornwall so we booked a table for 10 on Friday evening. Harry and team pulled it out the bag as per usual with amazing food, atmosphere and service! Special shout out to Evie who as always was so attentive and lovely. It’s also worth mentioning they have a great Gluten free menu, my daughter is coeliac and the options are awesome. Thanks guys 🙌🏻

Wow! I couldn’t fault it. Beautiful setting. Excellent atmosphere,staff,food and value for money. Plus the cleanest toilets.

Niamh is a wonderful barmaid. Very attentive, pours superb pint. Friendly, funny and a great laugh. She’ll beat anyone at pool.

Staff always friendly with quick service, drinks and food are good - what you’d expect from a local pub. Parking is fine but on a busier weekend evening the car park can be full so you have to park on the road. A gorgeous view from the beer garden on a nice day. Pint HPA - £4.20 25ml special gin & fever tree tonic - £6.10

My first visit and it certainly won't be my last. A lovely old pub with great staff plus excellent food and beers. Every bit as good on my follow-up visit.

Held a family Sunday lunch there for 12. First time for all of us that we had been there. Food excellent, beer excellent and the service spot on.

We had a fantastic time in the Three Horsehoes pub, we especially enjoyed the bathroom facilities, which countained a vibrant, yet discreet community. Great to have some action in these parts, which you'd typically need to go to central WH to find. the sticky toffee pudding was ok, slighty dry though, I've had better at the UDNY ARM; Generous facilitators.

Excellent Sunday lunch. We booked ahead and stupidly, I rang the wrong number (two pubs in the area with the same name). However the very helpful staff we're able to fit us in. The food, service and beer (Wye Valley HPA) were all great. Superb views from the beer garden too. Highly recommended.

Stunning views from the garden, all the staff ive spoken to are all very nice 👍 the food I had one Sunday was devine, the portions were a bit on the small side but the ingredients used were 110% quality, so I geuss it swings and round abouts , I don't mind paying if the food steps up to the plate as it dose . We'll worth a visit to make up your own mind.

I attend the national panther rally here. The pub was a nice place friendly staff. But no breakfasts because of lack of staff? And Saturday ran out of food? Not good planning 😕

Very welcoming, attentive and happy service. Our third visit in our Campervan, it’s a great stop off for us on the way to the south from North Wales. Sunday lunch was excellent, well cooked, piping hot and plenty of it. Accompanied by a well kept beer, what’s not to like?! It will be staying on our ‘revisit’ list.

A traditional pub with very good food and beers. The garden has great views. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Smashing little pub with lovley cosy area for meals, went with partner for Sunday lunch and wasn't disappointed in fact we were blown away . Food,service,and atmosphere were spot on so to anyone wishing to pay a visit then don't hesitate.

I cannot fault our experience at The Three Horseshoes. From the service to the overall ambiance and the food, I can’t speak highly enough of all of the above. We were a large table of 12 people and I can honestly and openly say, that every single person was delighted with their meal. It is clear that the owner takes a lot of pride in The Three Horseshoes, from the seating areas, to the outdoor area, to every plate of food that leaves the kitchen. Staff are well trained to ensure a positive and pleasant experience. The Three Horseshoes is deserving of every success it has had up to date and undoubtedly this will continue. I, for one, can’t wait to visit again. It is a gem, not to be missed and we feel very proud to live so locally to such a wonderful place. Thank you!

We ate here twice during a 3 night stay the food was gorgeous and service from Ellie and Garry just excellent, the locals were very friendly and pub dog friendly too

This is a lovely local village pub that I visited with family for traditional Sunday lunch. Choice of meats or vegetarian option. Child meals half portion of adult meal. There were also a selection of starters and sweets available. Food was tasty, nicely cooked and presented with fresh vegetables to share. The staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating. The pub is clean, decor is pleasing and all nicely furnished. Good play area outside for children next to seating and tables with a lovely view across the Severn Valley. Plenty parking. Cannot fault anything. Will return

Long wait for meal Then, our meals ,burger, arrived in a plain bun. With a muted apology as they'd run out of brioche. Overall, it looks like a great place and very welcoming after a nice walk in the Severn Valley & along the river will definitely be using them again

Found this pub through Britstops. Car park a bit on the small side for vans however, couldn’t fault the service or service. Pub was very busy and obviously well supported by local clientele. Definitely one to remember when we are in this area again.

We fancied a change of scene and after reading the reviews about The Three Horseshoes decide to try lunch there. Firstly we were struck by how clean and neat the pub looked. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, the service was excellent. We both chose Ham eggs and chips with a side of onion rings. The food arrived quickly and was fabulous and the portions were large, tasted really nice and we ate every bit! The pub was busy and the atmosphere was calm with a mix of customers. We decided within minutes we would be back here again with friends to sample the evening menu and then try the Sunday lunch at another time. Great pub, great food, great staff, so pleased we went and looking forward to returning soon.

Birthday meal for 10 people. Everyone had a good hot meal. The liquor coffees round off the night well. The waitresses were fabulous, we were upstairs in the conference room.

A lovely setting with great views. We had Sunday lunch with family which included one vegetarian. The staff were very helpful and attentive without being obtrusive. The food was excellent! We will definitely visit again.

This lovely place is in our nearest village and yet we cannot believe we have never been here before - we have been missing out on a real gem. Visited here for the first time with friends and family on Saturday. They could not be more accommodating especially as we had a small baby in a pram. The staff were helpful and Emily and the young lad sorry did not get his name obviously enjoyed their jobs, the food was gorgeous and the value for money was second to none. We will definitely be back thank you

Fabulous Sunday Roast always good food and friendly staff.

We made in impromptu stop here and had a superb Sunday lunch. The staff were lovely. The lunch was everything you’d hope for, crunchy roasties, perfectly cooked meat, tender veggies (just the right amount), home made stuffing and Yorkshire pudding, tasty gravy. They just got everything right. Excellent pint of Bathams too. All extremely reasonably priced.

Just got back from a very tasty roast dinner. Typical traditional roast where the meat was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of veg to go round.

Called in for lunch on a Saturday after visiting the country park. Had no booked, but got a table even though it was quite busy for a wet Saturday. Staff were lovely and the food really good. Definitely recommend.

A large booking of 20 people for Sunday lunch, and everyone’s meal was excellent, along with the service. Would highly recommend.

We have just had an early family Christmas meal. From the staff serving our pre drinks to the waiting staff and food…..well it was all wonderful. Thank you especially for my gluten free food.

We chose this place to meet up and what a good choice it was. Fabulous food and Atmosphere.

What can I say but great food, wonderful staff and people. Excellent choice of ales, lagers and ciders. There’s also a good variety of spirits. Not sure about the wine I don’t drink it. The pub is also absolutely spotlessly clean with roaring open fire to greet you on a cold day. The beer garden has a fantastic play area with wonderful vistas. And the Sunday dinners are tremendous.

We stopped on the off chance for lunch today - so glad we did. Plenty of parking with a warm, friendly & helpful welcome. We chose a table in the bar to eat and loved the menu choice. It’s so nice to see a traditional pub serving really good food. Next time I think we may try the sandwiches as they looked amazing. Thank you - will be returning.

We stayed over in our Campervan on the way to south of England. Parked in the lovely grassy field below the main car park, a very quiet night. We ate in the restaurant, excellent friendly service, the steak and wine pie is to die for!

Absolutely amazing cosy village pub. The food is beautiful I'm gluten free and nothing too much trouble. The Eton mess is the best I've ever tasted. Its our local we love it in there it has a log fire to greet you in the cooler months and a large beer garden at the rear when the sun comes out, if you're visiting Alverley you must pop in and say hello to Harry Amazing pub 👌 Thanks Harry and the gang

Retirement do for a colleague, fabulous night. Venue was amazing and hospitality second to none. Food and service was amazing. Would highly recommend and will certainly be going again.
