Great little cafe ali very welcoming

First time my son & I had tried this deli, disappointing. I ordered the ham, brie, & cranberry pannini but it arrived with no cranberry. My son ordered the ham, goats cheese & olive roll, arrived with no olives! The roll seemed a little stale on one side. Although the owner gave me some very watery cranberry sauce (new jar needed), my son decided it wasn't worth the wait for his order to be corrected as we had an appointment. My pannini was good, but we would like what we order to be as described.

A cheese and ham omelette in a bap. Yep. Read it again. It was lovely. A big bap. A perfect omelette. Brown sauce. Delicious and very filling. I absolutely loved it. I want another one now

Absolutely lovely. Very nice owner (I think he's Italian) lovely fresh ingredients and bread baps. I'd recommend Capers to everyone. Set in the heart of Frankwell, Shrewsbury Very close to theater Severn, Frankwell car park and Frankwell fields....great place for a picnic. Eat in or takeaway and Capers is open until 5pm, alot of sandwich shops in Shrewsbury aren't. 😍

Had a salad pastrami sandwich and flat white coffee. Lovely coffee and great sandwich with a very nice owner.

Fabulous freshly made food. Lots of choice and more unusual options are available which made a welcome change from the typical sandwich fillings (although standard offerings were available too). I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch - ham, brie, cranberry and fresh salad on a lovely seeded roll. Was very very reasonably priced and the gentleman serving was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

All I will say is Thank you. You made my day. Its a harsh month straight after December. I will come back when times are better and treat all the family and tip you ;) and my boy loved the chicken, bacon and mayo sandwich.

This is probably the best sandwich shop in shrewsbury. Owner is a top guy, food is always freshly made with quality ingredients and the place is spotless. Highly recommend. Seating inside and out.

Fantastic little cafe, very handy for the University. It was so good I stopped to get breakfast here then returned for lunch! Large selection of freshly made sandwich fillings, with delicious fresh salad and bread rolls, all good value. There’s a small seating area inside and out and the gentleman service was friendly and chatty. Lovely cafe I’d highly recommend.

Lovely Cafe right opposite the Theatre Severn. Plenty of car parking outside and in the carpark a few minutes walk away. We loved reading the history of the building on the wall. The food was lovely and the portions generous. The owner prepared me a vegetarian omelette and it was one of the best I have had. My son enjoyed his hot chocolate with the cream on.

Absolutely love it here it’s my go to place for a sandwich and a cake can’t recommend highly enough!

Came in to get a coffee- received such good service and the food looked so nice that I went back for lunch with my friends! The man behind the counter was so friendly and helpful, and he prepared our food so quickly considering it was all fresh and there was 7 of us! Amazing service- I would really recommend! The food was delicious too.

We had lunch here yesterday prior to going to Theatre Severn and where very happy with our food and service , it was both very tasty and served quickly considering we went during the busy lunch hour rush . Very pleasant and helpful staff and not expensive . We will go again .

Had a late lunch before going to the theatre Staff very friendly, Coffee amazing in a proper cup!!! Food was lovely too. The Carrot cake, yum yum. Little Gem. Great food and drink very good value.😁😁

My sister and I decided to pop in on our way back to Frankwell car park after a shopping trip in Shrewsbury. The cafe is lovely and clean and the owner very friendly. My sister opted for a Coronation Chicken salad which was served on a lovely fresh poppy seed bap which she thoroughly enjoyed. I opted for a meatball bap. When it came I was at first disappointed to see that the filling was cold as I have never had cold meatball before. However, what a revelation! The meatballs were so tasty and in a really yummy slightly spicy sauce. The accompanying coffee was also very nice. Will definitely be returning.

Had a Christmas business packed lunch it was amazing. Brownies are exceptional. All ready on time would definitely use again.

We had Festive Christmas Baps with Turkey Cranberry Stuffing and Bacon, they were AMAZING! also the chocolate brownies were to die for and MASSIVE! 😍 Hadnt been before but will definitely go again! Both staff were very helpful and polite :)

I had a sausage and egg butty which was superb, very surprised at how how a simple butty was so tasty.

Popped in one afternoon whilst walking from the main Frankwell carpark to our hotel, having been out for the morning. Had walked past before but not been in. There are two tables inside, with some pavement side tables outside too. We only wanted a take out so were happy to wait. Only one couple inside eating. The wait wasn't long, the owner was friendly and helpful regarding fillings available. He gave us some freebie apples too, which was a nice touch. The place looked very clean and some good filling options. The cajun chicken had a nice spice to it. A choice of baps too (white, brown or seeded). Will certainly visit again.

Just back from a wet dog walk - rescued by a delightful sausage and egg bap from Capers. They really do it in style - packed full of tasty 'proper' sausages and 2 eggs each! No need for lunch now. The lunch rolls are a regular for us, the only problem is we never manage to finish both of them. Always packed full of lovely fillings and made fresh while you wait. Don't miss out (and phone to pre-order if you're in a hurry).

Just popped in to Capers for a bite to eat whilst waiting for my car to be repaired, what a treat, friendly staff, beautiful fresh baps with a wide selection of fillings. I definitely recommend.

The title of this review is not in any way meant to be condescending - Capers is 'bijou' when it comes to space. Just a shop front on the ground floor of one of the black and white buildings in the row directly opposite Theatre Severn. Seating for about 8 - 10 inside and another 6 - 8 outside, but I suspect a good trade is done in people coming in and taking their food and drink out.Everything seems home-made here and it is good quality, tastes delicious. There is a menu board on the wall giving sandwich fillings but service is bespoke, so you can choose whatever combination you would like really.Our seedy wholemeal baps were huge, we could quite easily have shared one between us, except that once we bit in, we were both enjoying them so much that we easily managed to finish.Service is really friendly, very helpful - you are made to feel welcome.A note - purchases by cash only.Really handy if you are going to a matinee at the Theatre, for a quick bite. Coffee is good too, so you may want to linger a while or pack it up and head to the Quarry for a picnic. Two huge filled seedy baps, two coffees - £11.60 - and, sadly, we didn't possibly have the room for the delicious and healthy looking flapjacks on the counter.Would highly recommend this place.

Superb place, great sandwiches and wraps all ingredients fresh and they make one of the best burgers in town. The staff are very friendly and the place is always very clean, definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch, delicious home made cakes too.

Popped in here for quick lunch today. There was a wide variety of choice of light bite food: sandwiches, panninis, jacket potato etc. Our sandwiches were lovely. The brownies looked lovely and the coffee smelt delicious. Only a couple of tables inside though so you would have to takeaway if busy. Would definitely recommend and will be back if we are in the area.

Most definitely as the sign claims, the ‘best brownies’. Freshly made every morning (and twice a day if required), everything you expect from a brownie and more! Flat white lovely too. Nice selection of freshly made deli style sandwiches, baps & baguettes to eat in (or outside) or takeaway.Well worth a visit...

Excellent early morning breakfast. Good quality food, cheerful service. Gentleman behind the counter jokingly referred to the lady in the 100+ year old photograph hanging on the wall, as his Grandmother. It turned out to be the actual Grandmother of my wife, an ex Shrewsbury resident!

We were in a hurry to get a sandwich before a matinee performance at Theatre Severn. There was a wide range of sandwich fillings ranging from common fillings such as egg mayo, ham, chicken etc to deli fillings such as smoked salmon & cream cheese, with extras such as a variety of salad fillings. Served on large, locally baked seeded baps & wrapped in greeseproof paper, they were both tasty & filling. We will go earlier next time to enjoy such high quality food at leisure, accompanied by tea, coffee etc.
