Great little place. The restaurant is limited for seating but the staff manage its customers and orders really well so food arrives fresh and in a timely manner. Food good and plentiful. The blue cheese dressing with the wings is so tasty. We had pulled pork and chicken. Extra good. Service was courteous and timely. Would recommend and we look forward to visiting again.

This place is a hidden Gem. I was visiting the area with a friend from the nearby Abdo Hill Farm, and was recommended this restaurant by our host Paul. This restaurant did not disappoint at all. The nachos were absolutely delicious and full of flavour. We both opted for the smoked beef gravy (Beef Brisket) on a brioche bun with fries. Honestly, it was delicious and I would drive back there just to eat that again. The food was so full of flavour and the portions were generous. The price was reasonable too. The service was impeccable and the decor was warm and inviting. Thank you for being one of the highlights of our trip to Market Drayton.

Eat here last weekend when staying up the road from there. What can I say iv never had so much meat on a burger good quality meat at that. Food was lovely atmosphere was lovely and to top it of the owners were so welcoming. 👌

Had a wonderful birthday meal here yesterday and it was truly outstanding. From food to hosting it was perfect.

There was a group of 20 of us staying at Rosehill Manor next door and this was brilliant for our Friday night takeaway. I liaised with Mat & Jess beforehand to sort out our pre-order and they were really helpful with recommendations for the amount of dishes, vegetarian options etc. The food was spot on - it all went down a storm! The brisket, ribs and the pulled pork/jackfruit were particular highlights. For anyone staying at Rosehill Manor I would really recommend trying this place during your visit!

I enjoyed my visit and meal here, the owner was friendly and welcoming and made great suggestions. The portions were generous and tasty and I will definitely be visiting again when I’m in the area.

Once we arrived we were made very welcome. When the food came it was well worth the money, the portions were massive. What made the night was the chef coming out and asking how we enjoyed our meal. Diffently will be back.

We broke down nearby and headed here and had amazing beef brisket, wings and a couple of drinks. The owners really looked after us whilst we waited for the RAC even letting us stay after close. First class customer service :-)

This place is a little gem. The owners are passionate about combining excellent food, with friendly service. The quality of the ingredients is excellent - the food is tasty and portions are abundant. You can tell Matt makes all his food with great passion and care. There is something for everyone here! Our favourites were the succulent burgers (cooked beautifully) and the ribs; but to be honest, everything was very tasty. We liked the selection of drinks too; especially the seasonal cocktails. Would definitely recommend. We brought our two teen kids with us and it was a huge hit. Visit this awesome restaurant!

The food was amazing, I had the The Hog burger it was so succulent, my partner had oaked smoked brisket burger which he devoured, lovely people will visit again. Oh the mango cheesecake is a must 👌.

Visited this place last night and loved it! It's a very friendly, homely vibe, the staff are friendly and attentive throughout your whole stay. The food was amazing, all of it was piping hot, with lots of selection. I would definitely recommend visiting and will be back for sure!

What a find! Third time I've eaten here in as many months and what a fantastic experience... so refreshing to find a warmth & hospitality rarely experienced these days. Mat & Jess are doing a fabulous job of providing freshly prepared American smokehouse style food in relaxed and inviting surroundings. Their burgers are one of the best I've tasted in a long time and the service is attentive and provided with a smile that says nothing is too much trouble... Keep up the great work!

This independent smokehouse has amazing character. It's warm welcome from its owners, gives you a personal touch. The food is generous and wonderfully cooked. Whilst the meat is the star attraction, I would recommend the Gumbo as a starter. I would also ignore the 1 star rating from another, as they clearly have a malicious agenda.

Spur of the moment visit and seriously happy we stopped by on our journey to North Wales. We were looked after well and the food was incredible! We had wings, gumbo, beef brisket and the whole hog burger that had a bit of everything and I thought it was all really excellent. I only wish we lived closer!

I had a take out, this evening so glad we discovered this gem the food was delicious and only took 30 min We had king prawn gumbo and corn bread that was bursting with flavour, brisket burnt ends...wow, corn on cob and the tastiest beans , Can't wait to come back to eat in the resteraunt..thanks

We went as a party of six, three of our number were sick and had diarrea, one was very sick and diarrea, two of us suffered diarrea. It would appear that of our number, three had chicken. I was suspicious when eating it, the leg meat did seem pink

Where the good reviews are from I fail to understand. I live within walking distance so was eager to try the place.. For the prices on the menu one would expect better. My burger was so dry it was no edible, when I asked for sauce I was pointed at the generic table sauce. Fries, frozen packet jobbies (think Mac Donald’s). When I bought it to the attention of the lady serving all I got was ‘sorry you didn’t enjoy it’. Poor service, poor food. No evidence of any ‘real’ smoked food. Overpriced and Mediocre at best.

Excellent service and great staff, recommend and family friendly

Heard nothing but good things about Redwood and finally got around to eating there with friends last night. On arrival the welcome was warm and since, while the staff were very attentive. A wide selection of drinks are available and while I would have appreciated a cask ale rather than bottled beer, there's no complaints about quality. The food (we pretty much ordered all of the starters menu as a group main course) was utterly faultless, generous portions, very tasty, well presented and authentic American style barbecue. Our only niggle (and it is a minor one) was the ambience, feeling more like a generic restaurant rather than an all American BBQ joint (sounds daft but a bit of country music and American sports we don't understand on a TV screen really helps) but even this is clearly work in progress by the owners. Really can't recommend the Redwood enough, the service and food are both excellent, genuine and in our experience, unique. We look forward to our next visit 👍

Well this was the first time in going and with my mum having the flyer through her door it was a must. Mum has not been out of the house for 2 years for a meal due to COVID, illness and fear. So we were concerned this may be too much for her, how wrong was I. She ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and ate the lot. This is the most food she has eaten in 5 months due to poor health. She loved the food, intact she said they were the best ribs she had had in her 64 years. As for me and my partner, he had the full rack as was so quiet I had to make sure he was not in a food coma. As for me I have a chilli allergy. I pointed this out straight away and the cook came to see me. What a lovely couple who run this place. He recommended what I could eat with what I ordered and what I could not and made me a slightly different burger than advertised. BUT omg it was mouthwatering, succulent, tasty and it blew my taste buds. This man does everything from scratch and it's fresh and you can see where he cooks because it's an open kitchen and it GLEAMS with cleanliness. From the moment we walked through the door to eating the sweets paying the bill nothing was too much hassle. Customer care was spot on so I welcome this couple to Rosehill and Shropshire and may it long reign and I wish you all the success in the future. As Arnold Schwarzenegger sai " I'LL BE BACK" ...... Went here tonight with family and my 2 year old and I had to come and leave a review. There's not many places like this. You can't compare this to your hickories. This place is better. Food was fresh and bloody delicious. The owners were accommodating and friendly and nothing was to much trouble. They also both made my son feel extremely welcome and settled, always checking he was OK and had everything and also if we were OK and had all we needed. The waffles and chicken were bloody beautiful and my family wouldn't change a thing about the platter. My husband ordered a burger and he isn't usually a burger man but said he was glad he ordered it as it was delicious. All food was so tasty. Thanks guys and keep up what your doing because your on to a winner..... definitely be back and recommend

Cooked from scratch and with love and it shows in the taste of the food. The BBQ Pitbeans are out of this world. If you have not been yet, go when they reopen. A fine example of this type of cuisine.

Had been recommended this place by a friend, the staff were really friendly and offered help on selecting meals etc. Food quality was excellent, with generous portions! We turned up slightly early for our booking but this was accommodated without any issue, speedy food service, Overall- really good!

We recently had dinner over there, been planning the visit there for quiet some time. It was definitely worth it.. amazing food.. definitely good place for meat lovers.. you won't find the better burger around the area.. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, it's absolutely obvious that Chef pours his heart and soul into the food he cooks.. Little hidden gem for food lovers..

A really warm welcome, service was extremely friendly and couldn't have looked after us any better. The food here is incredible. Fish tacos were battered to perfection and my whole rack of ribs were tender, juicy and impressively massive. Can't wait to return and try other items from their tasty menu. Welcoming friendly service and a great food experience. Having lived in the USA southern states, this was a treat to find some of the dishes commonly served inTexas. I hope Matt and Jess are supported by the local population and are successful with this venture . They deserve credit for their efforts.

You can tell from the minute that you walk in that Matt and Jess really care about the service but more importantly the food that they serve. Our experience of the Redwood Smoke House was superb from start to finish. The food that was served was presented with style and tasted excellent, so much so we booked straight back in. The special was delicious and the longhorn burger was a belly buster 😉 Would not hesitate to recommend that you give this place a go and it’s so nice to have a restaurant in our local area that is original and trying something that will almost certainly be extremely successful. Book now or miss out!

Stopped at local camp site , was recommended to try the food by the owner, went for the platter and macaroni cheese . Not cheap but you pay for what you get , quality food prepared and cooked well . Excellent 👍
