Salad box was beautiful - so much quality choice!

Undoubtedly, one of the best places to buy a sandwich or a salad box in Shrewsbury. Great value for money with generous portions. Very tasty, lots of variety and particularly convenient for us, with our office just around the corner. Several members of staff eat their lunch here every day and have recommended it, we've even started doing a large group order on a weekly basis.

There is fierce competition in Shrewsbury for the Lunch time rush, but even in tucked away off the high street, Brambles always seems very popular. Don't mistake this for a slow service as I was seen to very quickly. A big array of sandwich options, all freshly prepared. Staff are friendly and it's always nice to shop local. I always find recommendations though word of mouth are the best. I've been recommended Brambles multiple times by Shrewsbury locals and will always continue to recommend to others.

An absolute gem of a place just off the main drag. Sandwiches were stunning, lots of filling and the lady even made some coronation chicken whilst we waited (which I’m told was the best my partner had ever tasted). Lots of competition for food in the town centre and this place has to be right up the top of the ratings.

Had a few guilty pleasure slices of cake from here over the years. They also have a wide range of sandwich fillings, which make it a great place to pop into to grab a bit of lunch or a snack. Always busy which is a great sign.

Visited today as a one off on the way back to the car, 2x (full) salad boxes, two cakes and a drink, all under 19 pound. My fussy dad couldn’t get over how nice his sandwich was and myself and mum were both full at tea time from our lunch. Great customer service and smiles all around. Will definitely be returning ☺️

Always love coming here for a nice lunch. I always try to treat myself to this place if I've worked hard for the week. Everything is always fresh, and they always have something different on their specials board. Lovely freshly made cakes as well to choose from. Getting a promotion in September to a new store and the one thing I'm sad about is that I won't be able to have lunches from this place anymore as I'll be moving stores 😢

We bought a granary baguette with prawns, Marie Rose sauce, grated carrot and lettuce and a sandwich with ham and coleslaw. Freshly made right in front of us and delicious. Generous helpings. Would happily recommend.

Best sandwich shop in Shrewsbury town centre. Ive been going here for years and rarely go anywhere else, except for Mondays when they're closed. The sandwiches are deep filled and the fillings are delicious - especially the specials. The salad boxes are huge! Lovely staff and very good prices. Puts supermarket sandwiches to shame

I dont understand.... Its just a bread roll with prawns and salad but.......still one of the best sandwhiches Ive had. Have been using Brambles for over 20 years and its easy to see why they are still in business. Excellant quality

Called in today to take some food to the quarry. Food was excellent, and staff were lovely and chatty. We all felt like it was excellent value for money too and will definitely be our first port of call for food when in town.

Found a lovely sandwich shop in shrewsbury just behind cafe Nero, down a narrow alley way. Good choice, fresh, tasty and filling. Definitely recommend this place for something good yet inexpensive that will keep you going all day. Home made cakes and chilled soft drinks. Absolute find for me this place. I'll definitely be back more and more during the summer. Friendly staff happy to have small talk while you wait. I bought 3 sandwiches, 2 cakes and 2 drinks. Was in and out within 10 mins. Thehbuse paper bags and paper wrapping so bio degradable also. Easy worth 5 Stars!!!!!

Found this place when looking for sandwiches. Excellent choice of fillings, made while you wait. Really friendly service and good prices. So much better than a supermarket sandwich.

Stay away from the nut roast, it is as bad as it looks! The nut roast I chose to have in my sandwich was intensely salty - disgusting. Sadly, Brambles is probably the worst place I have purchased food from in Shrewsbury, and one of the least best sandwich shops I have ever been to. One woman seemed nice and polite but the other woman was clearly having a bad day, and wanted everyone to know about it. Brambles don’t take card which isn’t a big issue but is something to take into consideration. The whole place is just a bit lacking in both fillings and bread options - nothing is exciting, or feels worth paying money for. Overall, this is a shame as I prefer going to independent Sandwich shops for lunch. However, until Brambles can provide something worth paying for, I will be going elsewhere.

Takeaway food at its best. Salad boxes are huge. Lots of lovely fillings and daily specials and if you are still peckish they have yummy puds: brownies, chocolate cake etc etc. Very good value too

I'm not in Shrewsbury often but each time I am there lunchtime sandwiches come from Brambles. Always great service, decent pricing and a great choice of filings - my son loves to order all his favourites in one baguette and while I think it's rather odd I'm always reassured that they get asked for all sorts in there and nothing ever surprises them. Really lovely staff - and food always better than a commercially boxed shop bought one.

Normally a great sandwich shop. Bit they didn't cut off the fat from the bacon which spoilt a beautiful sandwich. There's rarely not a queue, But that's because the food is normally beautiful. Next time I go, I will request the fat to be cut off and again it will be one of the best sandwich places in Shrewsbury. (The minus one star is for the fat and the queues)

On a visit to Shrewsbury, came across this sandwich bar and ordered two of their salad boxes. I was amazed at the quality on quantity of what they put in. Pasta, salad of your choice and an additional filling, sealed and ready to go. For a simple healthy lunch, this is going to take some beating

Eat here regularly and the food and service are both always fantastic and it's brilliant value. I fully recommend the salad boxes or any of the sandwiches (especially tomato, mozzarella & basil panini) but the cakes...they are AMAZING!!!

Great welcome from the staff. Lovely old Pub with lots of atmosphere. Both had Sunday lunch which was plentiful and well cooked. What great value also. Definitely recommend. Will try to return before I depart.

Had lunch here with a very large family group 17 of us ,the meal had been pre-arranged .The staff were lovely very friendly and welcoming .We were in the Royalist restaurant ,people say the hotel is out dated ,but that is part of the history of the hotel and character , modern decor would not do the hotel justice , and shrewsbury town is a medieval town , the Prince Rupert was former home to Prince Rupert the grandson of King James 1 ,so why would anyone want to change such an Iconic hotel into a modern hotel . Our food and service was fantastic the serving staff were lovely very efficient and we didn't have to wait long between courses . My partner and I had Sweet corn Veloute for starters ,then Hake and then Chocolate Brownie with ice cream ,Every course was delicious served on hot plates . So if you like places with history and good food and service ,I can highly recommend the Prince Rupert every where was lovely and clean too .

We had a birthday afternoon tea here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Being February and miserable weather, we had the place to ourselves but the staff had gone to a lot of effort - decorating the birthday girl's table with birthday confetti. Nice and cosy inside. The food was very good - nice selection of sandwiches - what I would call sensible fillings like cheese and chutney, ham and tomato, tuna mayo, and egg. Our only comment would be to include a few more of the tuna and egg ones as there were quite a few of the ham and tomato which for our group was the least popular flavour. A selection of four different cakes - carrot, victoria sponge, chocolate and a very good syrupy flapjack. Small pieces but we liked that as you could have a bit of everything without feeling like you were going to explode! Very fresh and tasty. Finally cream scones - and yay - proper clotted cream! My son has a lot of allergies so chose a baked potato off the main menu. The staff were very helpful at the booking stage sorting out his meal and he enjoyed it. Am sure it must be lovely in summer time with all the plants and being able to sit outside - will definitely come back again.
