The Old Barn Café in Shropshire

We stayed at Ashlea Pools for a week so thought we would try the cafe while on site. The pizzas were massive, bigger than I expected and pretty tasty. On the day we were leaving we popped into the cafe for a breakfast and decided to have the breakfast ciabatta. It was really good, much more food than I expected for the price. 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, tomato and hash browns on a really soft and tasty ciabatta roll. Very good value wish we'd tried it sooner! The cakes look amazing so will have to come back to try one.

Ordered pizzas for a set time and they were ready when we collected them The pizzas were very good and exactly what we needed The coffee and cakes are also very good from the cafe

We had a takeaway pizzas one evening, as we couldn’t sit in as we had our dog with us. The two pizzas we ordered were the Carni and Nduja. They were both excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Had the most delicious hot chocolate topped with cream and mini marshmallows with a slice of the red velvet cake which was scrumptious.

We ate twice at the Pizzeria whilst staying at Ashlea Pools .. We had the meat festive fondue which was delicious … nice to try something different The following evening we tried the fresh Pizzas … which were huge and amazing!! Both were prepared by Sam the chef who was happy to chat to us whilst she was making fresh Pasta … We also enjoyed a few nice cold beers and wine as well… So if you want lovely fresh food served by attentive staff in lovely surroundings . all at a reasonable cost don’t hesitate to try it out Or order a takeaway for yourself !!

An excellent onsite cafe and pizzeria. They serve lovely pizzas and other dishes, in the evenings and cafe fare during the day A really lovely place to relax and eat Highly recommend it.

We stayed at Ashlea pools recently and used the old barn cafe for breakfast, have to say the food was amazing! Also the staff ate really friendly and helpful. We also tried a pizza which was out of this world! Will be back again soon!

The pizza is absolutely amazing, probably the most enjoyable one iv ever had, visited with my family while staying at the lodges, food was amazing we sat outside in the lit up domes which are stunning and we were given blankets to keep us warm which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend

Arrived later in the evening, kids was hungry. Went to get pizza for them. Absolutely delicious pizza! One pepperoni and one cheese. Tasty, dough was perfect, perfect toppings

We enjoyed a great breakfast here during our stay as well as lunch on our arrival. Absolutely stunning food which was very tasty and very nicely presented. The staff are brilliant there. We also had pizza on 2 occasions during our stay as they were amazing. We can get a 2nd chance at tasting them! So very yummy, probably the best pizzas we've had in the UK ! Better than Pizza Express or Zizzi. :)

Amazing food, very tasty and great service. We had dinner at the Pizzeria, hubby had pepperoni pizza, which he loved. I had Lasagne, which was delicious. We also had coffee at the cafe, milk shake,plus one of the tasty slab cakes. Definitely recommend that you eat here.

we arrived early and our lodge was not ready for us. We decided to eat in The Old Barn. The food was lovely and filling. We had quiche and bacon and cheese paninis. The service was quick and polite

We are stayed four night st Ashlea pools lodges, We had visied this cafes 3 days breakfast and 1 night dinner. Food are very good and fresh. Cafes very clean, Staff is friendly, price resonable, they done very good service. Highly recommend.

We had 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners and they were brilliant, so fresh and tasty. The staff were brilliant and always had a smile on their faces. The Cafe is decorated brilliantly. Wouldn’t change a thing, brilliant experience and good value for money. 10/10

We collected 4 different pizzas on the first night that were all really tasty. We also had icecreams on different occasions, all.of which were really nice and on the second to last day we all had breakfasts. These were the best breakfasts we've had in a long time. Customer service is warm and welcoming. My only regret is that I did not try any if the cakes that looked so good!

We had lunch, it was the best lunch ever, tasty, homemade, quite a large portion, fresh and local, the restaurant also do pizzas in the evenings and roasts on a Sunday, also had a selection of cakes and coffees.

Pizza was delicious ordered an extra one as the kids loved it. Dessert was out of this world. Will definitely eat there again! Thankyou

Could serve me a milkshake to takeout when they have takeaway cups but they could serve cake to takeout to people who came in at the exact same time as me (it was 4.10 they shut at 4) would understand it if it was busy but it was quiet

Lovley spacious pizzeria, and the pizza was the best I’ve had in the uk , had the margarita with added pepperoni, was very tasty and the dough was first class very light and airy , with lovley charring underneath, couldn’t recommend it highly enough , even if I am just passing some time I would call in again , and very pleasant staff as well needs to be mentioned , overall a gem of a place

We ordered the vegetarian breakfast with cappuccino and baileys hoy chocolate and it was delicious. The sausages were amazing...so tasty... large portions and set us up for the day ☺️

The best pizza we have had. We were staying at Ashlea Pools lodges for Christmas and visited the pizzeria. A family of 4 and we were all impressed with the food and service. Pizzas were fresh, not greasy and a very decent portion size, the side salad was even lovely. We are looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and accommodating

We were staying at the site and had afternoon tea booked for us parents in our group. This was very nice - sandwiches fresh and cakes were yummy. The plan had been that our teenage kids were going to come up later and get pizza. Our nephew is a celiac and we were pleased to see the menu offered a gluten-free pizza. The previous evening my sister-in-law had checked with lady at reception as his isnt just an intolerance, he is a celiac. She rang the pizza chef who said they would clean everything down and use greaseproof paper. They also said if he came up just before 5pm they'd make sure his was the first pizza in the oven - perfect! However..... on the day the 3 members of staff at the pizzeria refused to do any of this and the girl said the oven hadn't been cleaned. When we pointed out that their menu had a gluten free pizza the girl said it was "for people who have an intolerance or who are on a fad diet - not celiacs" So they offer gluten-free.... but not for people who are actually gluten-free - but if you're doing a fad diet then you're all good! How ridiculous! Now I get they need to cover themselves and didn't want to risk him being ill - but the fact we'd checked the previous evening and the pizza chef had made all those promises! I just couldn't get my head round the fact they offer gluten-free pizza but not for gluten-free people! We had a disappointed teenager who was looking forward to pizza. Which meant all 4 kids didn't want pizza from there . The reception lady was very helpful and told my sister-in-law about a GF fish and chip shop which was about 10min drive away. Luckily that was excellent. Maybe the pizzeria staff need some allergy training and how they speak to people about their needs.

After I rung my telephone order through It was ready super quick and it was tasty. I enjoyed my pizza very much.

Which was fine but suggest yoj keep website up to date Also we asked in the lodges . You really should put a menu in the lodges or at least a QR code link But very fast service and great food thanks

Stayed at the lodges on site for the weekend which we highly recommend. We went knowing they did pizza on site but weren't expecting anything amazing. How wrong we were! The pizza and calzone we had were amazing and highly recommend you have them if you come to stay here. We will certainly be having them again the next time we visit!

This cafe/pizzeria was lovely! Had a good variety of drinks and food and the service was great! We had breakfast, pizza and tried the ice creams and milkshakes!!

Amazing fresh pizzas with fresh ingredients, the staff were lovely, they offer wine in an Ice bucket but make sure too cool it a little first before you poor, honestly some of the best pizzas I've ever had
