This is an excellent restaurant and very good value for money. The kitchen is viewed from the tables and is well run. The college has come up with something innovative involving all the students in all roles and it works. The food was of high quality and extremely well cooked and presented. Reasonably priced and good selection of choices for each course. Drink costs are lower than average. Highly recommended.

Our favourite restaurant in Burton! We came in for a drink & didn’t book. They found us a table & we ordered two cocktails! The cocktails are the best we’ve ever had anywhere…always consistent & high quality! Thank you to an amazing team of people who are always professional & accommodated us last minute

A romantic little gem of a restaurant and our 2nd time visiting. The food is superb, tasty with a beautiful choice of meals, expertly cooked, all our meals have been amazing. It's so chilled and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for couples. Thanks again for the wonderful food and customer service

My husband and I decided to visit on the spur of the moment during a visit into town, we were seated quickly and served efficiently. Our food arrived in a timely manner. I had salmon my husband had the lamb both were amazing, We celebrated our wedding here with a fabulous reception 10 years ago and are so sad that we will no longer be able to. We will miss the Winery,

Sunday lunch with family. Waited an hour and 15 minuets with a very empty pub but wish we had left before the food arrived and got a refund! I can only describe the roast beef as two tiny cuts of off cuts that had been reheated on a griddle which I could literally not cut, tough is an understatement! The veg was edible but not much of anything for the extortionate price. My husband's chicken and mushroom pie looked like one from a cheap pack of four you buy from lidl and was tasteless. The 'gentleman' that served us took no interest when I explained about the meat, he just mumbled something about telling the kitchen. No apology at all. I then went to the ladies loo and discovered both cubicles to be void of any loo roll so went to ask if this could be sorted for the same 'gentleman' to bark at me that he would get someone. Thankfully the lovely lady that came straight away was very apologetic. An absolute over priced wetherspoons! Never again!!!!

Being back in Burton for another pub crawl we thought we would look this place up again for probably the last time as it is due to close at the end of October in an act of complete vandalism by Molson Coors, showing a total lack of respect for brewing history by planning to redevelop the site for offices. Have these people no morals or respect? Clearly not. As for the tap room and restaurant itself, it’s a fairly sterile corporate affair but at least the hanging pub signs in the restaurant section does try and give it a bit of character. And in my experience the bar staff serving behind the bar have always given the impression that they are suffering for their profession and would rather be somewhere else. Although cannot comment on the food as we have never eaten here and again were only here for the tap bar bit, but can certainly pass judgement on the ale and in that respect the beer was very good, but then you would expect it to be as it is the official tap bar for the Heritage Brewery, embedded in the National Brewery Centre next door, and they don’t have to travel very far. The Tap bar has six hand pumps and for our visit these were dispensing the Heritage Brewery Masterpiece IPA, Heritage Gold, Charrington IPA and Oatmeal Stout as well as Draught Bass and Elgood black dog on as a guest. I went for the Oatmeal Stout. It is not one of the best tap rooms I have ever visited, but it is probably one of the most famous, so I will be very sad to see it go, if this act of vandalism is allowed to proceed by the local council and the local MP. If it is then the very soul of Burton on Trent will go with it.

We visited Willows (previously Tutbury Tearooms) for lunch. There was a good selection of meals, snacks and drinks on the menu, although there didn’t seem to be a children’s menu. The cafe was comfortable and nicely decorated. The food was nice, but very expensive. £9.75 for a jacket potato with cheese (plus £1.50 for each additional topping) is far too much!!! My son had two potato waffles with grated cheese and baked beans, which cost £9.99!!! We left feeling negative due to this and are unlikely to return.

Went a few months back for some drinks after going to the cinema. We all sat outside because it was lovely weather, much like the service! So many drinks to choose from, we struggled to make up our minds we wanted to try so much. I had a fruity cider, and it was really nice. Chap on the bar was lovely, saw some girls working making sure everywhere was clean and tidy so they definitely care about making sure the place is in good shape. Definitely would go again
