Our favourite place to eat and drink , lovely atmosphere, food is amazing I get so impressed with how they get their meals out in a very short time , we’ve never waited a long time , even when the place is buzzing it amazes me, fantastic team never fail to impress 👍😊 we’ll be back soon , it is always a treat to our selves when visiting ,well done the dial

For some reason it only lets you go back to may 2024! Anyway, omg I have never been to a place so so awful in my life! Was new to the area and heard good things. Decided to go for valentines! My god what a mistake! Very limited menu so orders 9x tapas not one of them was edible. I email led them to tell my experience and they asked me to explain what was wrong with every one. 9 plates this obviously took some time which I did if my own free will because they changed their chef. Not even a thank you for my time was appalling. I emailed them a further 4x times and nothing! Paid a 25% tip because the poor young girls were having to put up with all the complaints. Not on! Since the hands have changed over this place is vile! Cocktails are nice but I wouldn’t even go for them now either! 🤢

Food was ok, but overpriced. Pestered by 4 different members of staff straight after one another asking if we wanted drinks. Maybe that’s down to lack of organisation. When we got drinks they were very nice. Food came very quickly, but I was put off by a big piece of torn greaseproof in one of the tapas dishes. Mentioned this to the waitress who took it to the kitchen. Kitchen said it was only greaseproof and quite often happens with the Lamb Kofte. I didn’t eat the lamb kofte! If they know it happens why wasn’t it checked properly? Looking around while waiting for desserts I noticed the ledges were very dusty and so were the lampshades. My dessert came out wrong and I sent it back. When it came back they put on the smallest of scoops of Sorbet. We paid the £120 bill even ask if we would like to leave a tip. On the way out I pointed out the cleanliness issues to the waitress, who thanked me for pointing it out. 🙈.

Fantastic food brilliant service could not fault anything about this restaurant will definitely be returning. Honestly think this is one of the top restaurants we’ve been to in the past two years . It won’t disappoint . Definitely go for the steak and the blueberry ice cream ooh and the prawn pil pil red wine and onion sauce amazing

I would just like to say a massive thank you to you and all your team. My Mum had a fantastic time celebrating her 80th Birthday. The service was excellent and everyone commented on how lovely the meals were. We could not have asked for anything more. Again thank you so much.

Visited this evening and I was charged £5.70 for a lemonade and lime…. That must be the biggest mark up in the whole of the UK! Surely you should be encouraging people who don’t drink alcohol rather than charging extortionate amounts for a soft drink? Shocking.

We are regular visitors to the Dial, or we were, until this dreadful festive lunch. To call it festive is definitely the wrong word as I had the vegetarian Wellington. The thick lump of pastry dominated the plate and it was filled or rather unfilled...

Our first lunchtime visit here....and we loved it! We were making use of a gift voucher from a friend. The food was delicious (especially the desserts), the staff were attentive and our table/seats perfect. We will definitely be back!

Well we came for a tapas selection food was amazing and service could not be faulted would definitely recommend super covid friendly

First visit as a family great atmosphere and good food tasty and portion. The service was quick and efficient and the cleaning and sanitation of tables after people left was also very thorough. Don't go here expecting normal pub grub it's alot more than that so be prepared to pay a bit more for it. Overall a great lunch and I will be coming back.

Disappointing although food nice but lost the personal touch, arrive sit down order on app, get food no one asked if everything was ok, it was not ! Pay and leave ! Rude waitress said here is your bill how do you want to pay because we need your table, we had not even had our dessert ! Duck salad was not as stated it’s salad leaves and duck no carrot broccoli or cashew nuts, not a cheap night and not enjoyable!

We have never looked forward to a meal as much as today’s meal. The service was exceptional, attentive and so relaxed. Things are really difficult but the staff really coped with the whole situation brilliantly. We would really like to name some names but to be honest we felt this was a team effort and it the team game was Championship league. Thank you so much.

A really lovely first date night at the dial after months of being in lockdown. The food was amazing and the staff were really attentive but ultimately we felt very covid safe. We will definitely be back soon as this is the best place for food and atmosphere - really enjoyed it, thank you!!

My wife and I visited her prior to lockdown for a special occasion and I can only say how enjoyable our visit was to this establishment.

We went hrebn the summer but despite handing over our credit card we were later phoned as we filled in details to enter their competition. They then rang us and shouted at us down saying at my mother and accused her of not paying. It is a disgrace they are a scamming. I would not recommend!

The Dial is good to meet friends, I was taken as a birthday treat and the food is nicely presented but I wouldn't call it exciting and it does need to be a bit more interesting. I had fish and chips because nothing else was particularly enticing and it was nice. My friend had the goats cheese salad which was 2 slices of goats cheese on a huge amount if green salad leaves. She left 3/4 of the leaves, the volume was excessive. Perhaps some homemade coleslaw or potato or vegetable salad may have brought more interest to the plate. The staff were very polite and charming and nothing was too much trouble and the service was good.There is no on site parking and payable public parking is not too far away.

First time back since March. Staff attentive. Good Covid systems in place so felt very comfortable. Booked for 10.15 seated straight away ordered tea for two and 2 full English. Tea straight away but waited half an hour for breakfasts, however, the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. We will go back for sure. Highly recommended the Breakfast experience.'

But have to say that all Dial staff first class , every member of the staff new exactly what they were doing. Dined at the Dial restaurant recently on a Saturday evening and as always, we had a fantastic eating experience. The management and the staff have gone that extra mile in these surreal times to install the necessary Covid precautions such as the distancing between the dining tables and hand sanitiser stations very frequently placed throughout the premises. Staff wear the most ingenious of face masks and as our previous visits we felt very safe. Staff are always welcoming, pleasant, helpful and nicely attentive. Food perfect; my wife had the 7oz fillet steak and you could cut it with a paper knife … beautifully cooked and presented. Thoroughly recommend the Dial restaurant. Thank you. Also to mention that the NHS QR code / App is clearly visible on arrival.

I’ve lived within 10 miles of this restaurant for about 15 years and always meant to go but for one reason or another always ended up somewhere more local. We went on a Saturday night, two adults and three teenagers and we all agreed that the overall experience was as good as we’ve had anywhere. The restaurant would probably be best described as Mediterranean. Decorated beautifully through out and all the staff and management were extremely attentive and friendly. The food portions were larger then average especially considering the adults had a selection of tapas as main course which we couldn’t finish. The teenagers had burgers 8oz with loads of fries. The only slight negative but it wouldn’t stop me giving it five out of five was £7.25 for cheesecake was a little on the dear side but it was delicious. We need to support our local restaurants and bars during these difficult times and we will certainly be back very soon. Well done everyone involved.

Visited The Dial with my parents for lunch, our first visit to a restaurant since before the lockdown and we had a lovely time. We felt so welcome, the staff were so helpful and we felt very safe with great COVID secure measures in place and hand sanitiser readily available around the restaurant and bar area. The food was absolutely delicious, as usual! I’ve been going there for drinks and meals ever since it first opened and we have always had fabulous food and service ☺️

The Dial has always been one of our favourite places to eat in Burton.Today was our first visit since lockdown. We went for lunch , and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, just as they were pre covid. From the moment we walked in, we felt we were in a safe environment. Well done to all the team. We will definately be back soon.

My family of 6 went to the Dial last weekend to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I have to say I was a little concerned about the COVID safety aspect but on arrival my fears disappeared. There was no-one anywhere near us. We were asked to sanitise our hands and make way to our table where we were no where near anyone else. The staff were friendly and attentive, wearing face protection. The tapas and main meals were delicious and the cocktails absolutely gorgeous! All in all a fantastic experience and we will definitely be returning.

Like many couples with family commitments we've little opportunity to be able to have an evening out.Our evening at the Dial was excellent. We arrived early to enjoy a few cocktails before our meal. Always love my visits to the dial but this was the first since covid struck. The food it goes without saying was fab as usual and great value for money. The addition this time was the extra measures put in place to make us feel as safe as anywhere I’ve been during the last few months. Great service with the best face coverings I’ve ever seen......well I had to look twice, they were so good they were barely visible and it was so nice to see a strangers face for a change. Booking was easy via the website and we only booked at short notice. Clear instructions from the staff about making sure we were following the rules. Well done everyone

Visited 24th Sept. Very impressed by the handling of Covid problem. The staff were very friendly & helpful, tables spread out & a great atmosphere. The food was excellent, we had 2 of the tapas dishes the belly pork & sticky ribs, meat fell of the bones, good sized portions. Had sirloin steak for mains, cooked beautifully & nice thick cut chips. We have been before but somehow this seemed the best visit. Well done hope The Dial gets through this testing time.

We had a really lovely meal. Staff were all great and super friendly. Food was really delicious! We had high hopes as it was our first time and had heard good things and it didn’t disappoint! The slow cooked pork belly was divine!!!

I have visited The Dial twice since reopening after lockdown, both times the food has been amazing. The first visit we were seated close to the kitchen and found it a bit busy, which I commented on in my feedback, the restaurant replied with table numbers that are quieter. The next time we visited I requested one of these tables and it was much better being away from the footfall. Fully would recommend and if you are worried about being close to others contact them and ask for a table away from the busy parts.

Having recently visited the Dial, i cant praise them enough on how they are handling Covid - they are the only restaurant ive been to both locally and around the UK where they wear clear face masks - which makes alot of difference to the customer experience. We felt safe yet still received exceptional quality and service. They had paid attention to the birthday and special dietary allergies i had detailed when i made a booking and nothing was too much trouble. They've always excelled and i feel they have just got even better

Great place for a relaxing, high quality dining experience at affordable prices. Excellent vegetarian/vegan options as well as really tasty and varied dishes. Service is friendly, welcoming and attentive. Our meal on Sat Sep 5th was outstanding - how can a pea and mint soup taste so good?? Nice, high quality wine list (the yellow label veuve clicquot was a delightful extravagance on this occasion)Have been a regular diner here for many years and it never loses the plot - there is a reason this place has endured for so long - it is simply superb!

We have regularly eaten at The Dial since it opened in...errr...2002 I think. In all that time not one bad meal, not one problem, not one issue. Fab food (and drink) amazing staff & management team, perfect ambience - we love it! It truly is our favourite place for breakfast, lunch dinner....so, when restaurants could open once again there was only one place for us to go! The Dial has always been our 'safe haven' - Covid or no Covid - and once again it excelled. No compromises on the health, safety & welfare of customers & staff alike yet we didn't really notice the enforced changes due to Coronavirus restrictions. Thank you to you all....we've been 4 times since you re-opened & every time was perfect ♥️

We had such a lovely meal at the dial when we visited bank holiday, very friendly staff, beautiful fresh food, was very clean, as soon as someone left they cleaned the tables. It was my sons first visit and he loved it. Felt very covid friendly will definately be returning.
