This was our first meal out after lockdown and what an excellent meal it was. Our Sunday roast was delicious as was Mum’s scampi & chips. The desserts were equally tasty. The service was very cheerful and prompt. We wish everyone at the White Horse a successful summer and beyond. Thankyou

Quick and friendly service. The upstairs dining room looked nice, we sat in a booth near the window. We had a potato and leak soup, thick fries and grilled peppered chicken. All very tasty.

Love this pub it has a lovely feel to it. The staff are really friendly and the food is excellent. There is good choice on the menu if you have dietary requirements. I come regularly for the Sunday carvery which is always a winner for me and my family and bonus is they have the option to take it away.

Meet friends for dinner. Very happy friendly staff that looked after our table all night despite being busy. We had satay chicken, prawns, and soup of the day followed by pork chop, pie of the day, fish & chips (more like shark and mega fat chips) absolutely 💯 delicious Definitely will be back. Great menu, attentive service, cosy and lovely atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Only 3 tables indoors. 2 ladies working who appeared to have fallen out. They were very grumpy and not one of them smiled either when serving us or bringing out tea and pasties to the table. Yea was nice, cheese and onion pasties were distinctly average. Will not be revisiting when next in the area I’m afraid

We went in today for a Sunday lunch, we arrived quite early but we were taken straight to our table and a drinks order taken, however we were then left without any menus and had to ask for them so we could decide on our order. We then had to get the attention of the staff members to take our order. Once the food came out the roast beef was lovely (albeit a bit over done for my liking, but I understand it's hard to please everyone) the thing that really let it down though was the gravy, it was like water and really lacked flavour. I had booked here as the reviews were all great, but I was a bit disappointed purely by the gravy and the service. But I was impressed that most dishes on the menu were homemade, including the puddings. I'm not sure we would return for a Sunday roast, but I would probably go for meals off the main menu instead.

Just had a great family meal at the White Hart. We used to love the food under the old management and chef, but this was even better. The little touches like home made bread with the starters made all the difference Really hope they succeed, we’ll be back!

Very cold and unwelcoming reception from young girl at the bar. The other lady quite friendly. Didn't know if they did food. Mostly a mans pub vibe.

Not the best Sunday roast. The beef was cooked pink but was very chewy. The veg was tasty enough but pretty meagre and another roast potato or two wouldn’t have gone amiss. At £17.95 not gastro pub prices and there’s plenty of choice for those who don’t want a roast but I’d certainly spend more elsewhere for a special occasion. Great service though.

I absolutely loved my stay from start to finish, it was just me and the dog. Warm welcome, from reception, swift check in and showed up to my room. I was in the Library room which was so big, spotlessly clean, and a lovely big cozy bed. For a Tuesday night the bar was busy which is always great to see, I sat with two lovely gents on one of the long tables. Great wine selection, and tasty menu and I opted for the Miso Cod, which was absolutely delicious, massive chunky Cod portion with perfectly cooked crushed potatoes and tenderstem brocoli, i could literally eat that dinner every evening. Early night for me, the room is above the bar and you can hear every word spoken below, however as service ended so did any noises and I slept peacefully. Again great variety at breakfast and warm welcome, I would love to return.

Called the Bell whilst in the area to book Sunday lunch if possible at late notice. Not a problem even though sounded very busy. On arrival we were will received and it was busy as expected. Lunch was superb with excellent freshly cooked vegetables. Service from waitress and staff was attentive throughout, with large tables also dining at the same time. All round good choice of venue.
