The best restaurants serving British food in Gloucester South West

Cracking bump in the middle of Gloucester, highly recommend a visit. Food is not bad and reasonable on price

Had food last night and was served by a lovely girl named Hollie, she was very helpful and food was lovely.

Six work colleagues met for lunch on a mid week day. Lovely table window. The food was absolutely fantastic; very well presented & good value. Posh fish & chips; faggots; & liver & bacon. All delicious. Would highly recommend.

Given a room with an outside area. Room was lovely, though decor was tired, needing updating. The veranda door would not lock, room was deemed unsafe for our personal belongings. Twice asked manager for assistance for this problem, he seemed to get irritated with me. This startled me with his response, just threw another key at me and said we could move to this room. Second room was just as tired as the first one. Very dark room, had to put tv on to use as extra lighting. After travelling down from Manchester and tired, didnt want do round two with a grumpy receptionist/ manager. This spoilt our weekend, as we were visiting family for a celebration. Don't think we will use this facilty again. Left before breakfast.

Cheese and bacon croissant was delicious, I had a friendly welcome from the girls and Jess made a beautiful latte. Always nice to go in on a Monday and see the manager and he team.

Great food and drink. One complaint is that they ran out of caffeine free coke early in the evening.

Well , how very disappointing . £81 for breakfast for 3 . I’m not talking a full English , we had 2 eggs Benedict , one for my son one for myself . It was served on hot bread , not a nice crisp sourdough or and English muffin . So I asked to have it toasted . The eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise was ok but not delicious . My husband had avocado and poached egg on sourdough also . It was ok. To drink we had a cappuccino, a latte and an orange juice . It was nice. The cutlery was so scuffed from being used over and over again, the paintwork looks tired and needs a spruce up . After we had another coffee and settled our over priced bill , massively overpriced , we noticed a specials board . The waitress hadn’t told us about it. The uniforms on the wait staff look tired . It’s definitely NOT worth the money and definitely doesn’t have the WOW factor . Won’t return . In my opinion eating out is a luxury and it should be better than I can make at home !

Lovely food and drink. Cake was also really nice. A stones throw from the Cathedral. Great for a coffee somewhere that isnt a chain

I had come with a friend and we both had a glass of water. We got told ‘if we let everyone have a glass of water we’d never make any money! We don’t do that! Otherwise everyone would want to sit in!’ We got asked to leave before they considered that we were going to order food. Very rude indeed!

Well had our last carvery here we absolutely gutted it’s closing next week the staff wernt just staff they were friends …rui Kyle Marvin Kirsty ash Tilly and Aaron just want to wish you lot all the very best when it reopens and will see you soon Marvin when you take over your new job

We went to the Bumble bee for Sunday lunch... it was fantastic. The food was fabulous and we did not wait for ages before being delivered to our table. The staff are great ,polite and professional, especially Ellie,who attended to our needs. She was cheerful and so welcoming ... A great sunday lunch
