Popped in for a quick drink at lunch time, service was great as usual special mention to Chic and Anna for laughing at my jokes

Ben and Katie helped us out very much we really enjoyed our selves

Katie was fantastic, really helpful and went out of her way for our lovely dog!

Great good and place for family etc, they offered the other food choices rather than just the Sunday's menu which was greatly appreciated from the staffs.

Husbands birthday. We had a person with an LD and the staff were so understanding towards his needs. And gave my husband a cake and candle, which made it feel special. Thank you guys

We were 4 adults and 2 dogs and all 6 of us cleared our plates.

Ordered 5 minutes before kitchen closes as last pub I booked at turned us away due to not seeing out booking, was friendly, fast and a good service

The food was really good and accomadated my wife who was in a wheel chairs, katie, jay , chic were very good and polite. Dale has done wonders since taking over this establishment. Will definitely come back

Loved the new loaded fries and staff are always extremely friendly and they do sport well. Haidee, Ben, Katie (2 called Katie I believe) always make coming in enjoyable

My wife and myself plus daughter and two children (under 5s). Table had just been vacated so I asked for a cloth but although busy the (I presume the landlord) insisted he did it for us. Staff were lovely (crayons and menus for children) Food was lovely, aop worked as well A great experience.

The Barn Owl is set in a beautiful building. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Dog friendly and lovely atmosphere. Toilets are very clean. Great coffee!! Chic served us and she was professional and friendly

Visiting the area for a long weekend, nipped in knowing with a Marstons you get good pub grub at a decent price. The gent behind the bar was really helpful and helped with recommendations for me as a non alcohol drinker who likes a 0% tipple, really friendly. I ordered a surf and turf, medium rare, and expected it to be okay. However the steak was cooked to perfection, Ben the chef clearly took pride in what he cooked and sent ouf, and it really tasted like a steak restaurant quality with the seasoning and how it had been cooked perfectly to order. We had 2 different waitresses, I believe their names were Sienna and Chic (I hope I've spelt that right) who served us also, and they were so friendly, polite and accommodating - really lovely. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We love the Barn Owl, it's our favourite pub. It's spotlessly clean, the food is excellent, the staff are friendly and professional and Dale goes above and beyond to always make our visit enjoyable

We enjoyed our evening. The food was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was a busy Tuesday evening probably due to school holidays and also people taking advantage of vouchers. The two lovely ladies working could have done with a few more staff members to help.

Had a amazing time at the barn owl with my children, dale and the staff were amazing made us feel very welcome and didn't mind the kids playing and being a bit loud. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone with kids. Thank you dale 😊

We've visited multiple times, service is always excellent, food always tasty. Prices are reasonable - even more so when they have offers on such as 30% off mains. Dog friendly dining areas are available as well as areas without dogs allowed. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Such a lovley pub full of character! Dale is so great - always smiley and helpful. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him. He's such a great manager and an asset to the local pub community. Ben is so wonderful and knowledgeable, always there to help and be a friendly face. Chic is the kindest person and always smiling and bubbly. Another asset to the team. Lara is also great and will always be there to help when you need. I wouldn't go anywhere in the world. Top food, great selection of drinks and dog friendly.

Popped in for a quick drink yesterday. Found the waiting staff Haydee to be very polite and helpful in clearing our table out in the pub garden. She took time to ask if we were ok and wanted to check out the menu. Refreshing to see young people being so polite and attentive.

Came here for mother's day and wasn't disappointed!

Came in to get a couple of drinks and enjoy the sun, after a lovely walk on mother's day with our little one. Usually we have a great experience here but not on this occassion. We sat down by the kids area and went to the bar and ordered some drinks. Once we sat down, I think it was the bar manager that came over and told us we couldn't sit here as the tables were all reserved and they weren't doing food for walk ins and made a fuss about how he had to re-clean the table because of us. We were told to move to the bar area or the other area of the restaurant and not in a very polite way. There were no signs up at all stating this or that any tables were reserved and neither was I told this when I ordered our drinks. Funny how quick they are to take my money and then they let you know after you've paid! Honestly awful! Shame as not all the pubs in the local area have a kids area and it's put us off coming here again, which is a shame as we are local.

As far as Thursday early evenings go, we had a really good visit! It was 'moderate' busy, not noisy and not quiet, pleasant atmosphere. Customer service was great and prompt, food was fast and presented well. All was hot and tasty!

Fantastic service and outstanding food quality and portions

A good local venue. My church group is always welcomed when we use this space to meet and discuss. We always order drinks and some of us usually stay for lunch after our meeting.

Update March 2025 - even in a half filled pub food service for 2 mains took 40 mins, so think this is an area that needs improving. Original 2024 - Well laid out pub with kids reading area as well. Food did take 40 mins on a peak Sunday. Once arrived some of it was cooler than it should have been, but edible. Friendly staff

Although it was really busy we were shown to our table on time, and didn't have to wait long for our food once we had ordered. We were all pleased with our meals, and desserts, too.

Hardly any parking spaces! Got there,was sat down for awhile till a lady came over and told us food would be over an hour wait! Wasnt even in a polite or professional manner. Dirty tables. We left.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We were greeted by Steve and shown to our table. It's always lovely to be greeted with a friendly face! I had my 2 year old grandsons with me and they cleared their plates, as did myself and my daughter. The roast beef was cooked beautifully and the enormous yorkshire puddings were a real treat! Thankyou to Dale & Steve for a lovely Sunday lunch. The pub was absolutely packed but nothing was too much trouble. Chic and Deb delivered our meals and nothing was too much to ask, even when they were so busy! Katie came to see us to make sure we were happy with our food which was a great touch given how busy they were. It's the little details that make the difference. A wonderful experience and I would 100% recommend - you are all doing a great job! Thankyou all so much!!

I had a cheese and chutney sandwich which was rather disappointing. The top of it was dry as if it had been made first thing and left uncovered. and there had been no attempt whatsoever at presentation. The sandwich was not even cut in half/quarter just plonked in the middle of the plate. I could do better at home.
