We love to eat here the food is great & the staff are very friendly.

Great local pub. Friendly staff, good variety of food and drink. Family friendly. Nice outside area. Show a range of sports events and more recently, there have been a range of events on.

Lots of TVs and a big projector screen for sport. Great food and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back! Also nice beer garden when the weather is warm.

Although it was really busy we were shown to our table on time, and didn't have to wait long for our food once we had ordered. We were all pleased with our meals, and desserts, too.

Hardly any parking spaces! Got there,was sat down for awhile till a lady came over and told us food would be over an hour wait! Wasnt even in a polite or professional manner. Dirty tables. We left.

The new menu that was recently introduced is excellent. As usual, the staff were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Haidee in particular was amazing!!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We were greeted by Steve and shown to our table. It's always lovely to be greeted with a friendly face! I had my 2 year old grandsons with me and they cleared their plates, as did myself and my daughter. The roast beef was cooked beautifully and the enormous yorkshire puddings were a real treat! Thankyou to Dale & Steve for a lovely Sunday lunch. The pub was absolutely packed but nothing was too much trouble. Chic and Deb delivered our meals and nothing was too much to ask, even when they were so busy! Katie came to see us to make sure we were happy with our food which was a great touch given how busy they were. It's the little details that make the difference. A wonderful experience and I would 100% recommend - you are all doing a great job! Thankyou all so much!!

Friendly and efficient staff, nice, hot food and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Job done.

I had a cheese and chutney sandwich which was rather disappointing. The top of it was dry as if it had been made first thing and left uncovered. and there had been no attempt whatsoever at presentation. The sandwich was not even cut in half/quarter just plonked in the middle of the plate. I could do better at home.

Amazing Pub, great atmosphere, very clean and tidy, food was delicious and came out with no delays, staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend, we will certainly be going back.

Good place to go for a bite to eat and a drink. Huge bonus is that is dog friendly! My dog is always welcomed and gets a bowl of water and a treat.

As always,friendly helpful staff and a pleasant ambience. Excellent food,my vegetable burger was sublime and it was good to be offered the light choice of a salad rather than bun and chips.

Visited for lunch with my son and parents. Food was very good and service was great. We were served by deb and Katie who were both very polite and friendly. Deb was particularly good who despite being rushed off her feet was always happy to help and kept a smile on her face. Will definitely be back!

Come here regularly for something to eat and drink. Always a warm welcome and food is always nice. The waitress called Chic was very friendly and helpful.

My first visit to the Barn Owl, had a lovely time, the staff were lovely. The food was delicious and not too long wait between courses.

Always good food and lots of options. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Good for food or a drink and for all ages. The service is always quick and very friendly staff. Dog friendly in certain areas too. Ben has been especially nice while we have been in here regularly while moving in the local area. Looking forward to trying the roast dinner!

Only ever had a positive experience, staff treat with kindness and are friendly. Food options are wide and ability to swap chips to fries jacket potato, etc. Comfortable atmosphere.

For a Christmas Day meal the place lacked a festive atmosphere with normal music playing and sky sports news on the TV. Communication about how long food would take was slow, had to ask for plates to be cleared after sitting there if over 30 mins, staff looked harassed and stressed. Have eaten out for Christmas Day in previous years at other locations and this was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend or go again.

Came in this evening to celebrate a birthday with quite a large number of us. The food was excellent along with the service. The atmosphere was really warm and friendly, I would highly recommend.

After another brilliant evening at the pub with family I wanted to take the time to leave a review. The barn owl is our favourite pub in the area! Always a good atmosphere, good food and really lovely staff who really go out of their way to help. Great place to bring the dog too!

The staff were very helpful and lovely. The man sorting out our food was so helpful, there was a couple of issues with the food being cold ( chips) and very dry (turkey) the tv was turned up very loud around 5:15 ish and ruined the evening as we couldn’t hear people talking on our table so we left.

Well laid out pub with kids reading area as well. Food did take 40 mins on a peak Sunday. Once arrived some of it was cooler than it should have been, but edible. Friendly staff

Lovely setting but can’t comment on the food because every time we’ve showed up at 1oclock on a Sunday they’ve run out of roast dinner. This has happened on 3 separate occasions now, with a booking every time.

Called in for lunch, really nice setting, quiet when we were there, lovely greeting from the team , gave us a nice table by the fire. It was warm and cosy, no tv screen, large dining room with plenty of places for a little privacy. Lunch cooked fresh, I had brisket sandwich & fries, my wife had salt & pepper calamari. Drinks came promptly, I had coffee ( rich & delicious ) my wife had a fruit soda she enjoyed. Food arrived in about 20 minutes and was good. The staff provided an excellent service for the entirety of our visit.

Staffs nice and social big open clean pub food is cooked to perfection with fluffy yet crispy fries, juicy chicken and fresh veg better than all the other pubs in the area will be coming and eating here more often. 😁

We go to The Barn Owl fairly frequently, for Sunday lunches, family get togethers and the occasional evening meal. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, the restaurant always spotless, the waiting staff are really happy, attentive, and nothing too much trouble for them. Today we went for Sunday lunch, and as always welcomed with a smile, and a hello. The roast beef I had was not just tender and tasty, but there was plenty of it, the same can be said for the Turkey my partner had. The roast potatoes were great, and the vegetables were cooked brilliantly. Oh, and the Yorkshire pudding was epic! I might not cook Sunday lunch next week! A really lovely treat out!

Food not worth the money or wait ! over 50 minute wait for basic food when the place was not even busy , crap service had to go up to the bar to order aswell overall i would avoid even ran out of roasts by half 1 on a sunday

Average pub in need of refreshing, selling average pub grub. Good choice of low/non alcoholic drinks. Wouldn't return.

The bartenders were amazing, kind and such a pleasure. This was our first visit to Barn Owl and we will definitely be back. As visitors, we were exploring for places to go when we visit our son who lives in Gloucester and they made us feel like we were part of the family. The food and service was wonderful and our pints were served cold and with warm smiles. Excellent place and even better people! Highly recommend!

We've been here multiple times.. we live very close, we are some what regular but wouldn't say we are "regulars". We've been at varying times of day/time of year, and we've always been looked after. We had a terrible experience at a local venue tonight, and left without having eaten. We spoke to Ben behind the bar explaining our experience, he gave us some food and dropped us a voucher for some money off our next visit. This was not his problem, but it's small acts of kindness like this that make a huge difference to my perception of an establishment. A great person, with great people skills and great service. Ben is a great person to have working in a front facing roll. The barn owl has always given us a pleasant experience and tonight was no exception. Also, a big shout out to the waitress Debbie (I hope that's spelt correctly) as she has looked after us multiple times. You will never find a happier, friendlier member of staff, anywhere. Nothing is too much trouble and she's a lovely member of the barn owl team. Thank you Ben, Debbie and anyone else we've ever dealt with here. Your service is the reason we will always come back to visit. Thankyou.

Always good service and friendly staff - only ever had one mishap and it was resolved along with complimentary puds! *Adding to this three years later, we had a disappointing date night at another local venue, came to the trusty Barn Owl and Ben sorted us out a whole 56 minutes faster than the other establishment! A busy local pub. It has no stand-out features but serves its purpose. It shuts at 11pm and no messing!!!
