Table reserved on line and request fulfilled exactly, as it was daughters 21st and we have a large dog we were delighted with the table allocated and being able to bring a homemade birthday cake. Staff were very friendly and the service was great. The waitress singing happy birthday to our daughter was lovely too! Very enjoyable evening, great food, great atmosphere, definitely recommend

I pop in here for drinks every so often with friends, usually straight after work so late afternoon time. It's a nice bar with lots of tables, a nice atmosphere.

My friend and I were staying nearby at the holiday Inn Gloucester and decided to come to the bumble bee for something to eat. On entering the pub we were greeted by a really lovely guy at the bar who made us feel welcomed. There was also a young girl working that evening, clearing tables and collecting glasses, she was such a lovely young girl, so pleasant and smiley....We ordered some of the 3 for £10 bar snacks and could not believe the portion size, these are excellent value for money, we couldn't eat it all and had to ask for a box to take away with us. All the time we were in there the guy behind the bar and the young girl were so attentive to us and I hope you can let them know that they made our evening by just being themselves they are a credit to your business. We were in on Sunday 1st Sept at 7pm

Not busy, service with a smile, piping hot food cooked beautifully, not rushed, good selection of dishes

Called in one evening as we were staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door. Managed to get a seat, the resturant was very busy. Table had been cleared but the table surface and the menu were covered with jam/marmalade, got one from another table but it was the same We asked for it to be cleaned again, which was done. Food took a while to come but that was understandable as it was busy. We had the pork escalope/schnitzel which was tasteless, the chips were over cooked and the veg was al dente to the point of being raw. Did not mention it, as had to get back for early start in morning.

The Bumble Bee is next to the hotel we stayed in on our way to Bournemoth. The food was superb and our server, Megan, was delightful and so helpful. All round, a great experience.

We were there for dinner. Despite being full, they served us in a very reasonable time and Jen and her colleagues were very correct. We really liked the food. The atmosphere is also very pleasant both inside and outside.

Our server was lovely! Her name was Amy and she was really friendly, and great with my little boy. The food was delicious. Served quickly, on warm plates, tasted great. Pudding (Black Forest Flower Pot) was amazing!!!

Second disappointing visit in a row. My starter was served on a plate with a very large, noticeable chip to the upper edge (unhygienic) and salad garnishes for both our starters were dried out and brown-edged on the thicker leaves. Main courses (Sunday roasts) were much better. Our table top and the bar counter were both very sticky. Service was generally below standard - we weren't told where cutlery and condiments were, or asked whether we wanted sauces etc when mains were served. In spite of mentioning the underwhelming starters, no one checked whether we were happy with our main courses until I went up to pay. Overall, didn't appear to be any real drive to ensure customers would leave delighted and not leave this route of review. The 'Manager's' final words were "See you again soon", but that is highly unlikely I'm afraid. Shame, used to love The Bumble Bee 😕

Sasha served me on the bar today she was very welcoming from when we first walked into the pub. She’s also recommended the roast beef and some nice places to visit around the Cotswolds during our stay in the holiday inn.

Was down from London for the weekend come to the Bumblebee on Friday 26th for dinner and also I’m working as a AM for M&B. The food was great, the venue & setup was lovely and also my Servers Gemma & Ellie were amazing, friendly and excellent customer service. Will be coming back the next time I’m back to stay.

Meal out with family, great atmosphere and staff cracking looking pub with nice beer garden. Bostin food, I had the brisket burger, absolutely fantabalouse served with fries and onion rings and a dipping burger sauce 😋 3 family members had gammon with the trimmings and double eggs, my mother in law had fish cakes absolutely fabulous, and my wife had a salad of some description, well there's always one 🙄😆 all of our meals were fantastic, really enjoyed our evening at the bee, thank you 😊

We were a party of eight. All food came out together and was really hot. No complaints, all meals were lovely. In fact i would go to say that my steak was better than what i have had from Miller and Carter. The waitres Amie was polite, friendly and on point. Excellent service

We visited the bumble bee upon a stumble on our way to a hotel. Little pub - very well decorated woth lovely accessories, old fashioned fire places with original beams. The food was that amazing I didn't have it sat long enough to take a pic, my partner had a sirloin he said it was beautiful, I had the steak sandwich WOW. I have a small appetite there was nothing left on my plate. Well priced. Lovely atmosphere. Homely GEMMA the staff member on arrival was in a break she came and served us as the other staff were busy, she was fabulous, professional and we broke the ice and had a laugh, she was great and we had a tattoo discussion. Went there a few weeks ago on a Saturday lunchtime and ordered hunters chicken very disappointed to find it was a piece of breaded chicken with bacon on top not as it should be went there today for Sunday lunch variable temperature on veg not a good selection had to pay extra for cauliflower cheese unexpected desserts were good and the waitress Bronwyn made the visit worthwhile.

We went for our 25th silver wedding anniversary. We had a lovely table set up in a corner which we asked for. The 2 members of staff who looked after us were excellent and professional. My husband had the sea bass fillets with broccoli stems potatoes and a prawn flavoured sauce. He also had a sticky toffee pudding and custard which he enjoyed both. I had the lamb rump and mini lamb pie with broccoli stems potatoes and gravy. My only criticism was one of the broccoli stems I had was large and the stem was rock hard and inedible, ir needed to be cooked more and not just dipped in water and taken out again. I also had a mini pudding and a drink which was a apple and blackberry crumble with custard, I up graded my coffee for a Irish liqueur coffee. They were both lovely.

We Were Served and welcomed by Jon who was very pleasant, helpful, and served us food and drinks promptly. Blue Light Discount Offered aswell. Mini deserts and hot drink option fantastic. All round food quality 100% delicious. We were visiting from Nottingham and were made to feel very welcome .

Just went in for a drink whilst doing a bit of work, service was very friendly and atmosphere was nice and relaxed, it was a miserable weather day today but the garden looked lovely and I can imagine it being a pleasent place to relax and drink on a nice sunny day (when is our summer supposed to start by the way??)

What a shame have to strike this from the list of places to eat. Pie of the day had a white flaky pastry top I kid u not white is there a chef if so go back to college

We were staying at the Holiday Inn next door so came here for our evening meal. When we arrived the server said we were welcome to eat but the kitchen would be closing in 15 minutes. We sat down and placed our order. The server was very polite and she took our order and got it off to the kitchen. The meals came and they were superb. My piece of fish was absolutely huge. Everything was hot and delicious. We had two servers whilst we were there and both were very friendly and polite. We really enjoyed the meal we had.

Service has improved massively since my last visit. Friendly staff and good food served quickly. Sasha was an absolute delight, we had someone in our party with allergies and she was knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning 🙂

One order was completely wrong and a side order was missing but after having to say such and such was missing, I lost the will to live. No one else was in the dining area and by 2:45 we felt rushed by the servers to vacate. Also, I am disabled and the toilets were upstairs. This has to be a violation of some kind. How are wheelchair bound guests supposed to the the facilities? We won't be back, thank you.

We had an excellent meal yesterday steak and the lamb, both cooked to perfection. A big thank you to Jenny our waitress and Jayden the chef. The nicest meal we have had for a while.

Ah, The Bumblebee near Gloucester—what a charming spot for a pint! The ambiance? Lovely. The food? Let's just say I've seen more effort in a teenager's instant noodles. So, there I am, seated comfortably, and I think, "Let's keep it simple. Fry me some chips!" Freshly cut, crispy, golden fries—it's the simplest pleasure one can have. But alas, simplicity isn't on the menu here. "Triple-cooked chips," they said. What I got were more like "Thrice-thawed sadness." Let's break it down. The waiter brings me these so-called "triple-cooked" chips faster than a microwave dinner. I mean, the speed was impressive if we were at a fast-food joint, but for a place with pretensions of culinary artistry? Not so much. These chips had all the charm of a limp handshake. Crunch on the outside? Barely. Creamy inside? Sure, if you mean the texture of mashed potatoes left out overnight. If these chips had been anywhere near a third cooking, I'd eat my hat. They were lukewarm and lacked any of that promised crispiness, as if they had been waiting in some sad purgatory of a warming drawer. Honestly, if I wanted something this half-hearted, I'd have gone for a frozen TV dinner at home. On the flip side, the cider—now there's a story worth telling. Local, cloudy, not too fizzy, and poured straight from the tap. It's the kind of drink that makes you feel like a local, even if you aren't. Refreshing, flavorful, and with just the right kick to make you forget about those pathetic fries. The Bumblebee, then: a splendid place to sip on some local cider, enjoy the rustic charm of creaky floors, and perhaps discuss the mysteries of life with friends. The loo might be leaking, but it just adds to the character, right? However, if you're here for the food, you'd better lower your expectations—or better yet, just don't come hungry. Rating the food? A generous 3 out of 5, and that's me being kind. Stick to the drinks, folks. They're the real stars here.

Had a lovely lunch at the Bumble bee with friends on Friday, Emma who looked after us while there could not do enough for us, she was very helpful when I couldn’t choose what to have from the fantastic menu. Lovely atmosphere in the pub it had a real feel good factor, we will definitely be coming again soon I would love to try the Sunday Roast next.

The food was banging and amazing. Went on a date with the other half and she even said the food was amazing and the service was bang on was left alone wise I left a bigger tip for the lovely women who served us. No problems at all will definitely visit again soon

Amazing food fast service refreshing drinks

Came here recently with my partner and had a lovely experience. Emma was so attentive, a great help and nothing was too much! For a picky eater, she provided us with great food recommendations and they did not disappoint! Would 100% visit again and recommend to family and friends.

We come here often and never do they disappoint. The food I had when I went there wasn't to my liking, and when expressing this to Ella, she went out her way to offer a good will gesture such as a free dessert. Unfortunately, I didn't want a dessert, so Ellie who was our server, offered a drink on the house which was lovely. As for my mother's food on the other hand, was beautiful, and she enjoyed it very much. So, I and we, would like to give a massive shout out to Ella and Ellie, who were both courteous and checked everything was okay start from finish and offered a gesture of goodwill when the food wasn't to my liking. I've worked in customer service for several years and been to restaurants highly valued, and to have two waitress look after you is amazing and lovely. The bumblebee never disappoints, and I would like to Thank everyone at Bumblebee for continuing to make the experience enjoyable and even more, Ellie and Ella Thank You, you were amazing. 🤩😁

👍 Decor and character of pub, varied drinks and food menus, staff, food (in the main), speed of delivery of made to order meals. 👎 Table we were shown to was set but not wiped after previous diner and sticky to the touch but attended to by staff when asked. My meal (Fish and Chips) was well cooked and delicious, my wife's Gammon) was a bit overcooked and hard so the dish overall was dry. Bar staffing was a bit thin (one)

Extremely poor. Will never eat there again. Service was appalling had to go to bar 4 times for service and had to also go hunt cutlery. Starter were poor. Must have cost about 10p and charged 7 quid. Salt and Pepper squid was embarrassing. All of us had burgers and are all still ill 2 days later. Two of us still unable to eat properly. Chips were soggy and cold and had to be replaced. Lovely pub ruined by food and service. And had a cheek to have optional service on the bill. Avoid this place until the management get a grip.

Nice and fast service, good food and good atmosphere. I can recommend it for a family trip.

Took our toddler out to lunch. Staff were super friendly, offered colouring pens to our toddler and very accommodating to diets requirements. Will be returning!!

Just popped in for a quick lunch before a film, they were extremely fast the food was great and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend if in the area.

A last minute visit and my first visit here and not dissapointed, the service was excellent, food was very good too, signature burger, one for the large appetite, fish and chips, better than any chippy food and my daughter chose a chicken burger from the kids menu, sadly I want impressed with the chicken burger, dry, very plain and just a peice of chicken in a whire bun, nothing else, no salad, no sauce, but overall food was very good, service was excellent and a nice place to visit, oh and the Guiness was very good, not all pubs can serve a decent pint of the black stuff but the Bumble Bee can, please review your kids menu though😉

Staff and service were excellent. We were served by Ellie&Gemma. Thank you both. The food was superb. This is a lovely pub and restaurant, comfortable and with a nice atmosphere. We will definately recommend for guests at an upcoming wedding close by next year.

Me & my son were made feel very welcome when we dined last Friday & Saturday. We Could not fault the food at all. On Friday My son ordered the fish & chip , which was massive & I ordered the steak sandwich which was beautifully cooked & very tasty . Everything was so fresh ! Saturday we ordered the Duck pizza & the Mac and cheese, both were faultless. On both occasions we ordered the halloumi fries which also were divine! Great place , great atmosphere & service ! If we are back in Gloucester, I certainly will pay this place a visit again !

We have recently visited the 🐝 after a few years of using the local pubs around the area and was surprised how it’s changed for the better especially the menu and also the new staff and Ryan the manager are new to us and they are very pro-social and polite and they now have music in the background as well which is a plus so we will definitely be back again.

Very impressed with the standard of cleanliness, food, service and welcome when we popped by for lunch. The staff were cheerful, welcoming, polite and really helpful. The huge meals food were hot, well presented, and delicious. We didn’t have to wait too long. Our puppy was made welcome & provided with a water bowl which was much appreciated.Couldn't fault the place & will return soon. Thank you BB Just to add we returned as a party of x16 at short notice and wish to congratulate the team on providing us all at the same time with lovely food. Well done again Bumble Bee team and Thank you for accommodating us all & for a lovely evening.
