Amazing place, great food and service!

Came here for Company Xmas lunch, booked months ago. Lovely starters served hot, lovely desserts. Mains let us down as the food was luke warm by the time we were served. The tables only had mini xmas trees as decoration, no xmas party atmosphere! The waitresses could have been better dressed - cardigan 'falling' off the shoulder, & the other wearing a string strap vest.

First off the food was lovely the service soiled it a bit it needed to be quicker there were quite a few times where the bar was void of staff also was a bit annoying having to ask for our pudding twice, the biggest issue was unfortunately, where we sat the wall was covered in food splashing so wasn't nice to look at, my wife is disabled and had to walk back to the table to ask myself to stand outside the disabled toilets has the door lock was still missing and the general state of all the toilets are very poor, very dirty in fact get these issues sorted and it will be a great place to come but again the food is great 👍

Like to say it was a good experience but it wasn't, we drove over four hours walked in to book table, to be told , "Only taking bookings", so as you would we booked online a free time, Manager then said we are not taking bookings either. What a lier!! Now the staff are all going home, then offers a three quarter hour wait. Too late by then the disappointment was set in hard.b This chain needs a PR lesson and if your closing advertise don't tell lies, and close the booking system. On the way out others arrived and went in. Disappointed is not the word, tired and hungry. And still hungry.

Myself and a small party visited here today for lunch. While very busy and quite full with happy customers, Emma (our server) and the team made sure our meals were rapidly and efficiently served and every effort was made to ensure our visit was remembered with great pleasure. We shall be making "The Beehive" our "go to" restaurant for informal but excellent dining experiences. Thank you Beehive!!

Did a community event at the Bumblebee. The atmosphere was great and Gemma was extremely helpful, friendly and great communication.

Table reserved on line and request fulfilled exactly, as it was daughters 21st and we have a large dog we were delighted with the table allocated and being able to bring a homemade birthday cake. Staff were very friendly and the service was great. The waitress singing happy birthday to our daughter was lovely too! Very enjoyable evening, great food, great atmosphere, definitely recommend

If you are on the south side of Gloucester in Quedgley then go to The Bumble Bee we had a terrific meal in a great atmosphere Gemma and the rest of the team made the great food and drinks really special. ENJOY!

Good was absolutely brilliant. Had the pate, Camembert fritters, and some mains. All of it was delicious! Even though Ellie, and Ryan were rushed off their feet with the busy Saturday lunch service. They couldn’t do enough for us. And very polite! Will definitely be back!

Server Emma was lovely, bubbly, friendly and engaging. We've eaten on and off at the bumble bee since we relocated 3.5 years ago. Last time we came, food was ⬇️, overcooked, poor quality under staffed. Much better tonight, as per previous experience.

Staff are so friendly and helpful, always a pleasure to come into the bumble bee they make u feel so welcome. Food is always amazing, we come here every Friday evening.

Good food at a great price and great atmosphere

Brilliant Sunday roast, the Yorkshire puddings were exactly how they should be and the veg was lovely too! The turkey was flavoursome and not dry! Ellie, Ella, Ryan and Amie were very polite and couldn't do enough for us! Would 100% recommend and will be back again!

We visited whilst stopping in the Holiday INN Express next door. We were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table. Drinks were ordered, A pint of Guinness and A Gin and lemonade which were duly delivered to the table. My wife had garlic mushrooms for her starter and I had the Pate(both served with toasted ciabatta),mine came served with balsamic glaze and baby gherkins. For mains my wife had the 3 meat roast(pork belly, turkey and beef) and I had The Pork belly. Mains came with roast potatoes,brocolli, carrots and roast parsnips with Yorkshire pudding and gravy. The portion size was good and we had to decline dessert, we finished with a coffee/tea . With drinks a bill of £65 we found good value.

Two of us visited on October 9th, 2024 for lunch. The waitresses couldn't do enough for us. They were warm, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and shared a joke. We ordered the two courses special (starter and main as we neither of us have a sweet tooth). The food didn't take too long to be served and it was delicious. I had the pate followed by the lasagne and my Aunt had the calamari followed by the fishcakes. We left suitably full and will definitely return again soon!

We booked at quite short notice and were really happy with the service received. Amy, our server, was very attentive and made an effort to notice small details. A very pleasant meal, made all the better by the great service.

We have often had meals here, but very dissapointed today. No triple roasts, meals being brought out but wrong ones , roast potatoes were hard and dry . The young girl serving us was obviously under pressure . We were a larger party but then to have to pay a service charge on top! Spoilt our father in laws 80th birthday and our sons . If your Christmas meals are going to be like this then we certainly won't be coming . Such a shame from a pub that used to be a pleasure to go to . Thank you to the young girl , she did her best .

The staff were very friendly and helpful the food unfortunately was under par lasagne was very runny and no substance trouble finding any meat no taste of red wine just a mushy liquid garlic bread was cold and oily unable to eat. fish and chips fish was over cooked dry and hard managed to eat hard fish not the batter underside had black burnt batter was offered free desserts or drinks we declined and left quickly.

A good local pub, with a selection of beers and serving good well cooked food. My family and I will be going again, when it suits us.

Not happy with the food,fish looked double cooked,pie was ok best part of my meal was the mash asked for salt brought a small jar with damp salt inside had to remove the top to get the salt out waitress was no help.If it wasn't for the holidays inn next door it would probably shut.In saying this it is a nice pub inside and out just needs management to get a grip with the female staff.

Pie wasn't very good. More of a (small ceramic) dish of filling with a lid. Also, steak and ale pie was oddly flavored. Tasted more steak and kidney. Mash was fluffy, but a little bland.

I pop in here for drinks every so often with friends, usually straight after work so late afternoon time. It's a nice bar with lots of tables, a nice atmosphere.

My friend and I were staying nearby at the holiday Inn Gloucester and decided to come to the bumble bee for something to eat. On entering the pub we were greeted by a really lovely guy at the bar who made us feel welcomed. There was also a young girl working that evening, clearing tables and collecting glasses, she was such a lovely young girl, so pleasant and smiley....We ordered some of the 3 for £10 bar snacks and could not believe the portion size, these are excellent value for money, we couldn't eat it all and had to ask for a box to take away with us. All the time we were in there the guy behind the bar and the young girl were so attentive to us and I hope you can let them know that they made our evening by just being themselves they are a credit to your business. We were in on Sunday 1st Sept at 7pm

Called in one evening as we were staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door. Managed to get a seat, the resturant was very busy. Table had been cleared but the table surface and the menu were covered with jam/marmalade, got one from another table but it was the same We asked for it to be cleaned again, which was done. Food took a while to come but that was understandable as it was busy. We had the pork escalope/schnitzel which was tasteless, the chips were over cooked and the veg was al dente to the point of being raw. Did not mention it, as had to get back for early start in morning.

The Bumble Bee is next to the hotel we stayed in on our way to Bournemoth. The food was superb and our server, Megan, was delightful and so helpful. All round, a great experience.

Cheeky beer after work here, spacious venue, very good customer service

We were there for dinner. Despite being full, they served us in a very reasonable time and Jen and her colleagues were very correct. We really liked the food. The atmosphere is also very pleasant both inside and outside.

Our server was lovely! Her name was Amy and she was really friendly, and great with my little boy. The food was delicious. Served quickly, on warm plates, tasted great. Pudding (Black Forest Flower Pot) was amazing!!!

Second disappointing visit in a row. My starter was served on a plate with a very large, noticeable chip to the upper edge (unhygienic) and salad garnishes for both our starters were dried out and brown-edged on the thicker leaves. Main courses (Sunday roasts) were much better. Our table top and the bar counter were both very sticky. Service was generally below standard - we weren't told where cutlery and condiments were, or asked whether we wanted sauces etc when mains were served. In spite of mentioning the underwhelming starters, no one checked whether we were happy with our main courses until I went up to pay. Overall, didn't appear to be any real drive to ensure customers would leave delighted and not leave this route of review. The 'Manager's' final words were "See you again soon", but that is highly unlikely I'm afraid. Shame, used to love The Bumble Bee 😕

Sasha served me on the bar today she was very welcoming from when we first walked into the pub. She’s also recommended the roast beef and some nice places to visit around the Cotswolds during our stay in the holiday inn.

Was down from London for the weekend come to the Bumblebee on Friday 26th for dinner and also I’m working as a AM for M&B. The food was great, the venue & setup was lovely and also my Servers Gemma & Ellie were amazing, friendly and excellent customer service. Will be coming back the next time I’m back to stay.

Meal out with family, great atmosphere and staff cracking looking pub with nice beer garden. Bostin food, I had the brisket burger, absolutely fantabalouse served with fries and onion rings and a dipping burger sauce 😋 3 family members had gammon with the trimmings and double eggs, my mother in law had fish cakes absolutely fabulous, and my wife had a salad of some description, well there's always one 🙄😆 all of our meals were fantastic, really enjoyed our evening at the bee, thank you 😊

Only popped in for a quick drink and snack but found staff incredibly welcoming and attentive. Prompt service and food arrived quickly and was spot on! Would recommend!

We were a party of eight. All food came out together and was really hot. No complaints, all meals were lovely. In fact i would go to say that my steak was better than what i have had from Miller and Carter. The waitres Amie was polite, friendly and on point. Excellent service

We visited the bumble bee upon a stumble on our way to a hotel. Little pub - very well decorated woth lovely accessories, old fashioned fire places with original beams. The food was that amazing I didn't have it sat long enough to take a pic, my partner had a sirloin he said it was beautiful, I had the steak sandwich WOW. I have a small appetite there was nothing left on my plate. Well priced. Lovely atmosphere. Homely GEMMA the staff member on arrival was in a break she came and served us as the other staff were busy, she was fabulous, professional and we broke the ice and had a laugh, she was great and we had a tattoo discussion. Went there a few weeks ago on a Saturday lunchtime and ordered hunters chicken very disappointed to find it was a piece of breaded chicken with bacon on top not as it should be went there today for Sunday lunch variable temperature on veg not a good selection had to pay extra for cauliflower cheese unexpected desserts were good and the waitress Bronwyn made the visit worthwhile.

We Were Served and welcomed by Jon who was very pleasant, helpful, and served us food and drinks promptly. Blue Light Discount Offered aswell. Mini deserts and hot drink option fantastic. All round food quality 100% delicious. We were visiting from Nottingham and were made to feel very welcome .

We went for our 25th silver wedding anniversary. We had a lovely table set up in a corner which we asked for. The 2 members of staff who looked after us were excellent and professional. My husband had the sea bass fillets with broccoli stems potatoes and a prawn flavoured sauce. He also had a sticky toffee pudding and custard which he enjoyed both. I had the lamb rump and mini lamb pie with broccoli stems potatoes and gravy. My only criticism was one of the broccoli stems I had was large and the stem was rock hard and inedible, ir needed to be cooked more and not just dipped in water and taken out again. I also had a mini pudding and a drink which was a apple and blackberry crumble with custard, I up graded my coffee for a Irish liqueur coffee. They were both lovely.

Just went in for a drink whilst doing a bit of work, service was very friendly and atmosphere was nice and relaxed, it was a miserable weather day today but the garden looked lovely and I can imagine it being a pleasent place to relax and drink on a nice sunny day (when is our summer supposed to start by the way??)

We were staying at the Holiday Inn next door so came here for our evening meal. When we arrived the server said we were welcome to eat but the kitchen would be closing in 15 minutes. We sat down and placed our order. The server was very polite and she took our order and got it off to the kitchen. The meals came and they were superb. My piece of fish was absolutely huge. Everything was hot and delicious. We had two servers whilst we were there and both were very friendly and polite. We really enjoyed the meal we had.

Outstanding quality of food. Fab size portions. Ryan and team are doing a great job.

Service has improved massively since my last visit. Friendly staff and good food served quickly. Sasha was an absolute delight, we had someone in our party with allergies and she was knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning 🙂

One order was completely wrong and a side order was missing but after having to say such and such was missing, I lost the will to live. No one else was in the dining area and by 2:45 we felt rushed by the servers to vacate. Also, I am disabled and the toilets were upstairs. This has to be a violation of some kind. How are wheelchair bound guests supposed to the the facilities? We won't be back, thank you.
