The pizza is chef's kiss. Crispy and fluffy base with fresh flavorsome toppings. Really like the option to combine your own toppings. The staff are really nice and the vibe is relaxed and friendly.
Today I had a delicious jacket potato with cheese, coleslaw and salad at the Chamwell cafe, my friend had fried eggs on toast which she really enjoyed and her 18 month old Granddaughter had a lovely time playing in the children's area, there is a good children's menu if she had needed to eat, there were lots of other toddlers and babies there and the atmosphere was great, the staff are very friendly and we will definitely be going again very soon.
This place is great. The food is delicious, different to most food you get in Gloucester and not just because its (mostly) vegan. Different choices and flavours. I'm personally not vegan myself but you can tell this food is made with love and effort. Plus the service is fantastic and so is the music! Only downside is not enough seats to bring my family.
We came on a dull January day to visit the cathedral and stopped in for a sandwich. I’m so glad we did! Toasted sandwiches were amazing. Fresh ingredients freshly made well stuffed and delicious. Great quality tea and other drinks. It was so good. We came back after our visit for cakes which were equally wonderful. A little gem and literally the best toasted sandwiches we’ve ever had. Interestingly, the day after coming here, we went for a posh afternoon tea costing an arm and a leg at a famous restaurant in Oxford. It did not hold even a tiny candle to these wonderful toasted sandwiches. This was a triumph of an excellent local business, killing it in the face of massive competition from bland, overpriced chains. Bravo!

I only recently discovered this cafe while out walking and I highly recommend it. The entire staff couldn’t be more welcoming and accommodating. There’s a great choice of menu from traditional breakfasts to sandwiches, baguettes, a range of salads and plenty of drinks and cakes to choose from. Although I’m not a fan of the traditional ‘full English’, Anna always serves up something special on request, from toasted sandwiches with unusual fillings, to porridge and pancakes. They do takeaways too and are dog friendly. What more could you ask for? Try it out - you won’t be disappointed!
Probé este restaurante durante el programa Eat Out to Help Out. La comida es absolutamente deliciosa, los dueños son muy amables. ¿Fue una gran experiencia gastronómica para toda la familia? Folk Bistro es una joya escondida en Gloucester. ¡Muy recomendable!

Amazing cake for my twins 7th birthday!
Communication and service both perfect and the cake was absolutely delicious!
Thank you very much.
Will use again in the future and highly recommend!
Had a wonderful time doing archery! Great instructor! Friendly and patient. Knowledgeable too. Lovely location.
Unfortunately I had great difficulty finding it and was 15 minutes late for my session. Maybe more signage needed? Also could have done with more places to sit down while waiting for your go. But we enjoyed it a lot.
Great food lovely service excellent quality an price very down to earth.. We we're a group 4 breakfast to roast dinner all hot fresh an sizeable could not ask for more of anything hospitality was and is always great awesome all around..
I had trouble booking by phone/online so I emailed instead and I was very happy with the response
3 people attended for Sunday lunch with a weaning baby and it was wonderful. That staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We all had roasts which were lovely with all the trimmings (pork, turkey and lamb), great selection of veg (roast and mash potato, parsnip, red cabbage, broccoli, broccoli/cauli cheese and carrots) and huge portions. They put the baby's in a special bowl and were extremely accomodating. And the prices were really reasonable.
The breakfast was recommended by a friend, but the lunch did not disappoint.
If I was going to make any criticisms - the riot veg was a little el dente and as a bigger family we were a little cramped, but we would definitely return.
Food here is epic. Amazing burgers and tasty fried potatoes, us and the kids loved it. And the fact its in the rugby club means you can get a decently priced drink alongside. As well as the park nearby for the kids.
People make places. And this is so true with regard to this place of like-minded passionate caring folk who have a sense of loyalty to the nation and concern of our lives and just decency and values for small business and the family and the the individual. And with that in mind I was felt very welcome with very efficient and intelligent staff and some lovely Edwardian decor and feel and ambiance to the place and it was a lovely welcoming environment from start to finish.
