Wonky Sarnie café in Gloucester

I only recently discovered this cafe while out walking and I highly recommend it. The entire staff couldn’t be more welcoming and accommodating. There’s a great choice of menu from traditional breakfasts to sandwiches, baguettes, a range of salads and plenty of drinks and cakes to choose from. Although I’m not a fan of the traditional ‘full English’, Anna always serves up something special on request, from toasted sandwiches with unusual fillings, to porridge and pancakes. They do takeaways too and are dog friendly. What more could you ask for? Try it out - you won’t be disappointed!

This cafe is based in a small unit but it makes the absolute maximum use of what little space is available to it. The outdoor tables and plant tubs make the whole area look more inviting and the cafe brings a bit of style to what is otherwise a car park. My sarnie was very good, particularly the granary bread. Friendly staff too.

Usually on my arrival whilst contemplating on my breakfast or luncheon I am unsure of my decision for the day, but this is quickly changed as I walk in and I am met by the warm and handsome quality smell of the food. I would not expect such quality from a small independent café in Waterwells Business Park but from a French Bistro located on the finest streets of London either shadowed by Ralph Lauren or Gucci. The standard of the the food is fantastic and fresh! I can confidently promise to anyone in the surrounding area that they will not and can not find another Sarnie Café in the same league. Not to mention that the lovely beautiful staff of Wonkey's really do put the cherry on the cake (pun intended). All in all fine dining at is best!

We were greeted by a very happy person who took us to the table, we felt safe in the environment we are now in, the lady took us through their homemade lunches and fabulous display of homemade cakes too. We had a wonderful lunch and cake! Great service value for money and atmosphere.look forward to going back and tasting the rest.

My daughter and son in law purchased us the cream tea as a wedding anniversary present. It was delivered at the time stated. The taste was delicious and the portions extremely god. In fact we have kept some cake back for later in the evening. An excellent cream tea

Visited today for lunch with my 2yo and partner and were made to feel at home.... even when she was being a 2yo. The food was fresh and tasty, they have something for everyone. I had tomato and basil soup and it was the best I've ever had and the freshly made rolls were perfect, crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We will definitely be back, thank you!

I am never let down with the Wo my Sarnie. The specials everyday are immense. Lovely surroundings and friendly faces behind the counter. Clean and cosy!! Today I tried the beef stew and dumplings ...I can honestly say I think it's one of the best meals I have ever eaten!! That dumpling...I will be having dreams about that! And dont get me started on the mash!!! Ladies you have surpassed yourself ..keep doing what your doing as I constantly have a full, happy belly and so does anyone I ever bring to you. I highly recommend a visit 💯🙋‍♀️❤

I booked Afternoon Tea for my daughters 9th birthday for her friends and family.I popped in before due to my niece being lactose intolerant and I couldn't have asked for a better service. The food on the day was amazing very filling to the put we couldnt eat it all. They were very engaging with the kids who loved it. I have also been in for breakfast , lunch and just a drink and always thoroughly enjoyed it everytime. An absolute gem hidden away and most definitely worth a visit.

The food was amazing all freshly made and the staff were lovely. Family friendly- brought my daughter and she enjoyed the hot chocolate and the chocolate cake. Highly recommend

They supplied a buffet for our staff Xmas lunch. All of the food was tasty, fresh and clearly home made and all the staff thoroughly enjoyed it. It was also very reasonably priced and delivered to our door. Thanks guys see you very soon for more of the same 🙂

Just love this place everything is freshly made from the salads to the cakes and the quiche is just amazing! Always stop here now for coffee and home made cake. Service is tip top with Anna always welcoming with a smile and nothing ever seems...
