One of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to! The food looked amazing and tasted even better (sorry, no picture, because we couldn't wait to try it, and once we did, we couldn't stop eating). The staff was great too! I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had to wait a while to catch a train and found the Hungry Bean on TripAdvisor a short walk away. It is a great little cafe, lovely breakfast options to suit all tastes; the food was delicious and coffee was good. Definitely recommended!

This is a cute little place, the staff was friendly, the coffee was good, the food was excellent. It was busy on a Saturday morning, but the tables turned quick enough. Would definitely go again!

Great little cafe, near to Kingsholm Stadium. The food was great, but service was quite slow. My daughter would definitely recommend the Smore Hot Chocolate. The Avocado & Eggs on Sourdough is also excellent!

This place is a diamond! We’d give it ten stars if we could. Delicious home made food, incredible service. We left feeling warm and rosy inside, energised to discover more of Gloucester. We had a delicious huevos rancheros, triple cheese toastie with coleslaw and pickle, basil beans on toast and a build your own breakfast. Everything was exquisite.. all four of us were delighted with our food☺️

It is increasingly rare I would give a 5 star across the board however the breakfast here is absolutely to die for. Brought my partner here for his birthday as a spontaneous breakfast date and it was by far the best thing, it made his day with how well cooked and presented the food is. We will definitely be coming here on a regular basis because the staff are so welcoming and attentive. We honestly felt welcomed, looked after and satisfied. The large breakfast comes in at around £14 a plate and was definitely worth at what you paid for.

Tried a latte to go for the first time and was not disappointed. Lovely and frothy compared to local bigger names like Costa and Starbucks who despite the name often serve watery lattes.

We come to Hungry Bean often, the food is delicious 😋 & the best mocha I’ve found. Love the veggie breakfast, huevos rancheros, eggs florentine, smoothies, cakes….could go on. A really friendly, family run little cafe in Kingsholm.

Lovely little cafe in Gloucester town. One of the best fry ups I’ve had for a while and the mocha and hot chocolate are to die for - way better than your chain coffee shop with frothy milk and choc swirls on top 🤤 The owner and staff are really nice and friendly too. As they are only a small team they do occasionally have to close, so it’s always best to check their social media before you go.

Gentrified cafe's are slim pickings in Gloucester, but this one stands up against the very best in the UK. A varied menu and a relaxed/contemporary atmosphere will cater for all of your brunch needs. Great service and delicious food 5/5.

We love this place. The Huevas Rancheros is outstanding, great quality ingredients and all at a good price. The staff who run the place are lovely. The cafe doesn’t take bookings so you might have a wait as it only has around 25 covers but I’d happily wait for the quality on offer.

Went in to simply ask for a bacon sandwich to take away. To which I was told it wasn't her "policy" in a very rude manner. I don't expect to go into an establishment and be spoken to like dirt by the so called owner. Verry unprofessional would avoid this place like the plague.

My favourite spot in Gloucester for coffee and brunch.

Did not know this place existed. I do love a cheeky breakfast, away from the kids, as I was getting new tyres at malvern tyres , I decided to have a little walk. I found this lovely little cafe, yes. It is a little expensive, but there is definitely quality, I asked for well done bacon which the chef delivered really well, not even burnt. Even right down to the mushrooms were packed with flavour. I now look forward to needing new tyres.

Gloucesters hidden secret! The best breakfast by a long shot! Great prices Great service Great staff I have been here more than than I’d like to admit!! We will keep coming back! Parking out the back, quite cheap as you can get a few hours eat and then head into town. Always busy and not too many tables so be prepared to wait with a coffee to sit down or give yourself enough time. Well worth it.

Genuinely one of my new favourites. Staff were super friendly and the food was superb. There were subtle and small additions to normal brunch food that was welcome and inventive. Best beans I’ve had - basil was very welcome! Anytime I can make a detour to return I will.

Fabulous small café. Superb food and great menu choices - traditional but with some interesting differences for those who like less predictable choices. I had very predictable pancakes with bacon and maple syrup which was brilliant! The small stack is probably enough for most appetites, but I was particularly hungry today. The soya hot chocolate was amazing! I am somewhat of a connoisseur of soya hot chocolate, and I can assure you this one was fab! If I'm in the area again I will definitely revisit. Warning: it is very small so not a large capacity. It was fine on Thurs am when I was there, but just be aware for busier times. Lovely decor and feel also. I love their Tiffany style lamp shades!

Absolutely outstanding find tucked away just out of town. We enjoyed a fantastic brunch which was honestly one of the best we’ve had in a long time, very fresh and tasty green smoothies, lovely avocado on sourdough and the winner of brunch the best huevos rancheros ever. Will make this our new brunch choice every time !

Went with boyfriend and both had an amazing breakfast. Very tasty and great value for money - portion sizes were great. Lots of choice for meat eaters, veggies, vegans and pancakes for sweet toothed people too. I had heuvos ranceros (delicious!) and he had full English with homemade hashbrowns. Thanks hungry bean.

Waited nearly an hour but our food was great. Good service but very slow. Nice people.

Simply the best tasting food at any café in Gloucester, and beyond. The queue was outside the door, and we had to wait for 30 minutes, so we came back. I work in construction, so have eaten at many, many cafes. Sure you can get more food for less at places like The Trojan, which I have great respect for, but it isn't in the same league as this. All the ingredient's they use, are the best. I had the eggs Royale on this occasion, and was better than a few high end places I've eaten at, but also have had many things including the full English on previous visits.

Looking for a cooked breakfast, I came across the Hungry Bean. It’s a lovely little cafe with great service and a nice atmosphere. I had the veggie breakfast and felt compelled to write a review because it is the best one I’ve ever had. Really. It was that good. The sausage and hash brown were unusual, there was a selection of roasted vegetables, everything was perfectly cooked and it was incredibly tasty. It’s a bit annoying though, as I live in Bournemouth ☹️

Very good local café, it's near the rugby stadium, a little outside the town centre. The food is very good, the full English breakfast was very good, burger was very good. Service is friendly, and quick, there are not a lot of seats so arrive early, also it's quite popular. It's definitely worth a visit, they also do a multibuy deal on brownies. Recommended.

I have been to Hungry Bean twice now and on both occasions, the cafe was a wonderful corner that felt so welcoming. The tables were ready, the staff are so kind and friendly and the food they made was so delicious! Would definitely recommend, such wonderful people.

Small cafe out of the way and a great meeting point for two groups of friends running Gloucester North and City parkruns. The carpark next door has enough spaces and is around £1.30 for an hour. The Cafe is welcoming and friendly by all staff here. Food and drink can be a little costly but it's great quality so we didn't mind so much. Everything that came out including a full english, breakfast rolls and cakes everyone enjoyed. One of our group was a Vegan and there could have been a little more on the menu for him. One of the staff kindly asked someone to relocate their seat so we could all sit together and for that we were grateful.

Exquisite menu, so out of the ordinary, the Reuben toasty and my Earl Grey were the best I’ve ever had, so tasty, and my husband loved his Eggs Royale, eggs were poached to perfection and his cappuccino was far better than the national coffee giants. We will go regularly when we’re in Gloucester.

I stopped by the café on a Sunday morning and it is absolutely lovely. The staff are really friendly and helpful if you have food allergies. The atmosphere is really relaxed and easy going, just the right thing if you're looking to unwind and enjoy some delicious food.

Popped in for a lovely lunch today. All freshly cooked, and very tasty. My son had a breakfast bap which he loved, my husband the vegetarian breakfast which he said he was amazing, all made with great care and great ingredients. Thankyou we look forward to returning.

I have had many visits here, and always the food and service are to a high standard and totally enjoyable. I regularly pop in for take away drinks, and the cakes are always hard to resist! Never disappointed, great team, and love supporting a small local business :)

Needed a place close to where we were staying to get breakfast on first day of holiday and needed to be dog friendly. This popped up on map and we thought it would do as close on that first day. It was amazing and we went everyday of our long weekend. What makes it so good......well nothing amazing, weird or clever just doing the basics pretty close to perfectly. Staff - every single one smiling, attentive and helpful. Service - great blend of friendly and attentive but still efficient. Menu choice - plenty of choice from traditional to some slightly different. Nice clear menu and seasonal specials. Prices - everywhere feels expensive at the moment but these prices felt very fair and combined with the quality a bargain. Some lovely touches - first thing you get asked is if you want a bowl of water for your dog. Want to build your own breakfast, not a problem. Only problem was getting a table as so popular which is not that surprising. Definitely first on the list next time we are in Gloucester.

I came here for breakfast with a mate, we came for kedgeree that used to be on the menu, sadly they don't do it anymore however the breakfast was excellent they over very well for meat eaters and veggies, and the hot chocolate and cake I had as well was delish, I will definately come back!

How did i know about this place before?!?. What a gem! Food is spectacular. Some classics with a twist and more elaborate dishes. Everything cooked to order and from fresh. Amazing coffee! Great selection of pastries and cakes. And always smiling and attentive staff! 100% recommend.

I have recently relocated down to Gloucestershire and by chance, I found this place. It was the best full english breakfast I have had. Staff were friendly and accommodating, while the atmosphere is very pleasant! Will be back.

On returning to my old neighborhood I decided to visit my favourite local cafe in kingsholm. Upon querying, why it was charged an 2 extra meat items on top of sandwich at £1.50 over the owner retorted everything is more expensive! I've not been living...

It's a very nice place but the massive downfall is that you often travel there to find that it's closed. There is no way to know when they randomly close even when it says it's open on Google. Unless maybe if they state it on their social platforms buy then if you don't have FB or Instagram then you're back to square one. Today was closed.
