Absolutely amazing service and food was lovely. They accommodated two mummies and two prams without missing a beat ❤️ so grateful to the staff for making mine and my LGs first lunch out in town so great ❤️😊 and for just over a tenner for a sandwich, side boat (so cute), crisps and a drink it's good value ❤️

Brian kindly arranged an afternoon tea for my mothers birthday, it was her first ever one and she was so excited with the surprise. When ordering they asked what sandwiches we prefer instead of a fixed selection, which we appreciated as my nan is quite fussy and what cakes and scone types to go with the hot drink or our choosing ..All the staff were welcoming and friendly and the place was cosy. Thank you for a memorable afternoon tea and thank you for saving the last teacake! Cheers!

This place is fantastic. On our first visit for breakfast, the staff(Luke and the owner) were kind. We had caramel lattes and a delicious breakfast. It was such a pleasant experience, we came every morning on our trip.

This is a lovely cafe with the warmest of welcomes. The lady who greeted us couldn’t do enough to find us a seat. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. I had the egg mayo. And £1 for a slice of cake? Yes please! I’ll be back.

We came for a baby shower afternoon tea with 20 of us. I highly recommend this venue and would like to thank Brian and his staff for making this an event to remember. Staff are lovely. Teacakes are really tasty with lots of butter. GREAT deal of £4.25 for teacake and hot drink before 11:30. Would highly recommended!

Fabulous afternoon tea. Delicious sandwiches and homemade cakes at a very reasonable price. The staff are so friendly - it is a real gem. Worth booking if you are a group - you will not be disappointed. We are coming back for another afternoon tea AND to try breakfast and lunch!

I usually eat here when in Gloucester and highly recommend this place. Had my friend visiting from Holland today and she was very impressed with her quiche and we both agreed that the apple pie and cream was one of the best we've tasted. Excellent and friendly service and many thanks to the young lady (sorry I didn't catch her name) who took some photos for me, hope to see you again soon! 😁

I come here every time I’m in Gloucester, but not just for the coffee (you’ll struggle to find better), rather for the friendly, attentive service provided by Brian, Luke, Amber and team - nothing is too much trouble for them. All for a very reasonable price too! Places like this are singlehandedly keeping our high streets going, so go on down and support your local independent cafe!

Independently owned. Central location (opp defunct Debenhams, soon to be University of Glos). Inside and outside seating. Good range of meals/snacks across the day which (if hot) is cooked to order. Cakes made locally and coffee is roasted and blended locally too. Fresh flowers on all tables. Spotlessly clean in the cafe and loo. We had jacket potato and cheese which came with coleslaw and side salad. Jacket was piping hot and cooked thru. Drinks included in price. We were offered ‘pudding’ (slice of cake or ice cream tub @ £1 each). Food is good value for money. Staff were excellent - polite, chatty and helpful and checked all was OK. Service was also excellent. Will definitely visit again and have no hesitation in recommending.

Lovely atmosphere great food and coffee. I would have given it a 5 if it hadn’t been for a strange rule that we both had to have a drink and a food item. I was peckish, but, the wife only wanted a coffee; she ended up with a toasted tea cake.

Staff can't do enough for you. A busy Saturday lunchtime is not the best time for atmosphere (too many people in A hurry). My sandwich was very fresh granary bread (filled to capacity!) and most enjoyable

Sadly, although service was excellent and in fact, the cafe seemed to be over staffed as two members of staff arrived at the table with a single tray, the food was poor value for money, avoid.

Popped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised! Good food, good tea and coffee, helpful staff and an atmosphere that just feels so cosy. They obviously have their regulars which was good to see. Place was busy, always a good sign. Happily come back 💕

The March hare is by far the best independent coffee/ tea shop in Gloucester . We love it there and keep going back. Great food , good quality , freshly cooked and the staff are always welcoming and friendly . When you find a little gem of a place like here you keep going back . I highly recommend the cooked English breakfast which is great value and tastes amazing ( you can tell the good quality ingredients ) and if you like a good cuppa they use premium teabags not the cheap ones . Give it a try , book online and you also get a good discount too . Highly recommended.

A big thank you to the team at the March Hair. They feed me a few times a week, and the quality and preparation of food is significant higher that what you'd expect for the price. Also, the team are very friendly, giving a family feel to the experience of simply picking up a delicious takeaway bag meal. Luke is on point with his sandwiches!

While spending a day in Gloucester my husband and ai we're ready for a hot drink and some cake, the March Hare was recommended to us by a member of staff in a shop nearby to the cafe. Lovely selection of cakes, good tea and coffee, lovely feel to the cafe, nice decor. The staff are amazing and so friendly. Highly recommend visiting this cafe if you're spending time in Gloucester.

We stopped in here to have a bite to eat after a long day of driving. The food and service were exceptional. The two young staff members were attentive, friendly and extremely welcoming. Service was fast and product knowledge was brilliant. Once the food arrived it was really great too. Freshly made and full of flavour. The menu was extensive and lots of options for us. The whole meal was excellent value for money and I would highly recommend this little tea room to anyone passing by.

We went for afternoon tea just before mother's day, and really enjoyed. There was a delicious selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes, all very fresh, and ample tea and coffee. We'd definitely go again and would really recommend it.

Wonderful independant tea/coffee/breakfast/lunch place in the very center of Gloucester Went there two times in less than 24hr ! My scone with clotted cream & jam was delicious. My porridge was super tasty. Tea was perfect. Friendly vibes, lovely staff, great music... It feels warm and confy to see all the regular customers come and go here... I highly recommend !

Very disappointing customer service. Would like to give zero stars as staff wouldn't let us sit indoors and order 2 hot drinks. We were offered the noisy outdoor street tables. We were told that as they were 'independent' they needed the tables for customers ordering...
