Friar Tuck's Inn in Gloucester

I had trouble booking by phone/online so I emailed instead and I was very happy with the response 3 people attended for Sunday lunch with a weaning baby and it was wonderful. That staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We all had roasts which were lovely with all the trimmings (pork, turkey and lamb), great selection of veg (roast and mash potato, parsnip, red cabbage, broccoli, broccoli/cauli cheese and carrots) and huge portions. They put the baby's in a special bowl and were extremely accomodating. And the prices were really reasonable. The breakfast was recommended by a friend, but the lunch did not disappoint. If I was going to make any criticisms - the riot veg was a little el dente and as a bigger family we were a little cramped, but we would definitely return.

can only be described as excellent service and excellent value, nothing was too much trouble. wide range of starters main courses and deserts . always plenty on your plate.

A good hearty breakfast really good quality ingredients and two types of bacon. Hash browns need to be crispy as does the fried bread. The presentation was done by Stevie Wonder but overall a very good experience. Young staff a bit dopey and slow and forgetful but I was at that age. Good place. Value for money was great.

We visit here 3/4 evenings a month, tasty bar food, chilli, chicken balti, whitebait to name a few. The full menu is extensive. We return for breakfast the next morning when we collect our car. Breakfast is a great selection, piping hot and excellent value. Friendly staff & super food Faultless ❤️

Just had Sunday lunch with my husband at it was one of the nicest since my Grandmothers It’s rare to get quality and quantity but they have it down to perfection Staff were very attentive whilst not being intrusive Have just booked to come back

Very polite and friendly staff, menu is varied, offering something for everyone. Clean and tidy pub. Worth a visit and we will definitely return.

Fantastic experience when we dropped in by chance of getting lunch. Food was absolutely fantastic, large servings and very tasty. Staff were fantastic, barman went over and above to make our visit a fantastic experience. Even a tired and fractious 14 month old was won over by him. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices, wished we lived closer to make it our local. Well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.
