Very good. Good food. I had a basket meal of scampi and chips which was freshly cooked, hot and tasty, and a very good price. The service was great.

The Sunday roast is lovely. Unlimited vege and the meat provided is nicely cooked. Bring the kids as they can play in thr big play area round back whilst you eat.

Went for food, as it looked nice on our goggle map search. Very disappointing, its more like a sports bar! Wouldn't want to eat in.

Sunday carvery lunch , basic but well done . We had a family of 12 lunch, including children. A nice big dining room. It has a perfect outdoor play area for the children. And outside seating for adults afterwards.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, nice food recommend the gammon and jacket potato.

We had pre booked the restaurant area for a small private function.(about 25 people) We all ordered food from their menu. The food was lovely came out hot and the service was brilliant by all the staff from the the bar staff to the waitresses. They were very accommodating and friendly.

Great place to take kids to play while you have a drink. Food is basic. Service has always been excellent.

First time here in many a year and pleasantly surprised. First class service all day; food is standard pub fare, tasty and good value. Kids play area out the back is a great idea and very popular on a rare sunny(ish) day! Will definitely visit again.

Stopped off for a pint after playing Abbeymead in a friendly. Pub staff seemed friendly and welcoming and the pub was spacious and set out nicely. Would definitely go back

Sunday Roast very deliciouse. Many vegetables, 4 types of meat. Everything well cooked.

Didn't have food stopped for a few drinks. Lovely pub and the big play area is a bonus for the kiddies. Will definitely pop in again

Really good place shame about the bouncer. He was rude and acted like Tyson Fury. Drinks was great food snacks perfect.

Went to see friend one mid/late afternoon..not seen for sometime.thought I was n Iraq again as the agressive door personnel arrived One thinking he was Rambo and the other Sarah O Conor…ffs. I agree in security but you need to show respect otherwise you can undermine what you are trying to do. Won’t be going back as could not relax

Booked for Sunday lunch last week as never been before... it was so good..! Good range of meat, beef, chicken, gammon and lamb..! Wide selection of vegetables, peas carrots, Broccoli, green beans, cauliflower cheese. Roast potatoes were on par with my husbands delicious! Overall I was surprised and very impressed with the roast dinner and would highly recommend 👌 😋

Great place for the family to get together......just feels way to warm at the bar........all they need is a few more decent powerful fans and then Booom......perfect. Had the carvery on the 21st may 2023.......and WOW, best Carvery I've ever had, so much better than the Toby Carvery. Worth the visit just for the Carvery alone, beers also good and nice staff.

New play area is fantastic for kids. Carvery on a Sunday is superb staff are friendly and an all round good atmosphere.

Excellent piping hot food and friendly service. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. There were 13 of us in our party and the kitchen coped well.

I enjoyed a beautiful roast dinner on Sunday it was all home cooked all fresh veg gravy was to die for .also had a meal their Wednesday a selection of curry's with rice and nan breads and poppadoms also excellent 👌 would highly recommend, all staff pleasant and very approachable.The new management are doing a great job .

Best place in Abbeymead/Abbeydale. Great buzz around the place with friendly people and live music. Plenty of sport shown. Fantastic roast dinners on a Sunday and a great menu supported in the week. If you haven't been.... then try it!!

I'd recommend avoiding this dump

Saw the adds and reviews online which looked good. Checked opening times online.Called to see if the dog was allowed in told yes. Drive there within 10 minutes hoping for some lunch but everything was locked up there was some music and lights on but back and front doors locked.

Went to the Ridge & Furrow and had Christmas Dinner, was very nice. Staff were great very helpful.

Sunday 19th September I had a roast beef dinner with my partner and child and I can honestly say I was amazed at the quality of the food for the value for money! Would thoroughly recommend a roast dinner here 👌 amazing staff amazing service :)

I and a friend decided to meet up for lunch at Ridge and Furrow. I arrived just before 1pm and parked by the door to await my friend at the time a lady was unpacking drinks, wines etcetera form her car. We entered the pub only to be told by the same lady "we're closed don't open till 3pm". She obviously new we wanted to use the pub but couldn't be bothered to tell me of closure. We won't be back.

Great evening, fantastic service, top live band. Excellent evening drinking.

Just went for a meal . My wife's meal came mine never turned up at all . Was told my order had not gone through but they were both on the same bill . When we complained we were told if you don't like it don't come back

Food is amazing and very affordable. The Staff are very Friendly. A really nice community Pub. Nice areas to sit outside if you have a family.

Absoloutley amazing it's not on the menu but if you ask for a roast you get it and the choice of 5 meats and you can have all 5. £17 for two absoloutley amazing meals cheap as chips for a decent dinner out plus a play area to keep the kids entertained.

Decent menu for somewhere that isn't a chain pub. The drinks are a reasonable price. There's lots of outdoor seating.

We sat outside with friends so the kids could play. Despite the good weather they made an excuse that the bouncy castle wasn't up. The concrete hill over the tunnel is broken and dangerous. The service was terrible because they didn't seem to cope with an app and verbal orders from more than 1 customer on the same table. We got drinks twice, chips took so long and my friend's kids meals came out 1/2 hour apart after they said they hadn't been ordered properly (verbal order). The only redeeming thing was that when it came the food was hot.

Visited here for the first time and it looked very nice outside. Staff were fine and food was also not too bad

Staff are friendly and chatty, the food was amazing and didn't take long to come out, and value for money as well. Will def be going back.

It was our first visit since it changed hands. Due to covid, everyone has to sit outside, but what a mess! They have tried to build a tunnel for the kids to play in, but it’s an accident waiting to happen! There is broken & cracked cement everywhere! The grass hasn’t been cut since god knows when. There is a huge mound about 50cm wide & about 30 foot long long which looks like it had a tube or cable under it at some point, my 3 year old tripped over it. The bouncy castle was ripped & the roof was tattered & blowing off in the wind. In the corner, for all to see, was broken wood, an old deflated bouncy castle, broken fences, broken tables & chairs & just a mess which hasn’t been covered. After 15 mins we left & went to another local pub. Check out the pics I took!

Our roast dinner was so tasty and large, the sticky toffee pudding and custard is the best we've tasted. Delivered to our door, polite and nice people, thankyou.

It is a casual pub, okay for drink and food.

Drinks and food may take a bit dependant on date or time but certainly worth it

Had booked 2 tables were told to wait had to complain vigorously to get our booked tables seems a waste of time booking did not appreciat people smoking while we ate will not be going there again soon

Excellent service by the fit bird she’s really attractive super fit it appears however there’s a lot of jealousy going round looking at the previous comments the other woman must be insecure or she might be ugly but if I am being honest the bar lady is well fit sorry not really

I really hate to leave a review like this but sadly i need to as not great. A lot of items not available, both food and drink (due to the mad rush at the weekend we were told). Had to ask a number of times where our order was (both drink and food). But when it did arrive over an hour later it was hot and very nice. Asked for salt and vinegar which never arrived.

Perfect place to chill and have a drink plus a fantastic place for kids to play. Letting the adults relax!! Great service, great drinks and lovely fresh cooked food. Will visit as much as possible! 😀

Seems the bar staff love to hit on married men, even when they know their married. Telling them they want a baby and buying them drinks. Personal problems are ment to stay at home when you go to work and as for hitting on married men when your married yourself is just darn well disrespectful! Me and my husband won't be returning to this place! Its quite simple really you go to work you do your job, you don't try to give extra service by trying to pull a married man who has young kids just to get a baby of your own. Go home and make one with your own fella.

Very disappointing visit. We went to the Ridge and Furrow for a family meal and were very disappointed. The Staff were good in finding us a table straightaway and the drinks came very quickly. We ordered our food - 3 different Starters and a Steak and a Beefburger meal. The restaurant wasn't busy but the food took well over an hour to arrive. The Steak was so well done it was solid and unedible so was returned. The replacement Steak was exactly the same and was also returned . My Beefburger was so overcooked it was bone dry and all I could eat was the small amount of salad laid on top of it. Definitely not recommended which is a shame as they are in a good location.

Had a wonderful Sunday roast delivered to the Ibis hotel on Sunday. The food and service is 100%

Probably the worst food I have ever experienced in my entire life and the longest wait. In addition my sister has what appears to be food poisoning and is unable to go to work! Thank goodness I didn't eat the food!

Disfrutamos de nuestra comida la semana pasada como parte del plan Gov eat out to help out. Personal educado, acogedor y claramente trabajando duro. Sí, hubo una espera de 40 minutos, pero en todos los lugares en los que comimos como parte de este plan no ha sido diferente. Prefiero esperar eso para una buena comida y luego para una comida de ping en el microondas. Pudín de caramelo pegajoso super delicioso y casero.

Almorcé hoy, la comida fue excelente. Mejor bistec en un rato. El pub estaba lleno pero el servicio era excelente. Personal amable y acogedor. Primera comida para mi esposa y mi familia desde Covid y nos sentimos a gusto. Seguimiento y rastreo en el lugar, estaciones de desinfección de manos, pantallas en el bar o una aplicación para ordenar, etc.A diferencia de otras revies, no tuvo que esperar mucho tiempo. Podía distinguir toda la comida recién hecha y no la comida de cadena de microondas habitual que se sirve en los pubs de esta área. Regresará.

El servicio fue realmente impactante, no hubo absolutamente ninguna organización dentro de la administración. El servicio de una camarera en particular (con un moño en el pelo) no fue más que una actuación ganadora de un Oscar de lo mucho que le disgustaba su trabajo y luego voltear la mesa (culpar) a los clientes a los que no tenía en cuenta. Pedimos nuestra comida alrededor de las 18. 45 y 20. 00 preguntó dónde estaba nuestro pedido. La camarera dijo que no es culpa nuestra que haya estado muy ocupada esta noche. No solo que cuando llegamos nos sentamos en lo que imagino que era su sala de juegos / bolera. A los 20. Luego preguntamos cortésmente de nuevo qué había pasado con nuestra comida y luego pasamos a decir que éramos un grupo de 12 de los cuales cuatro habían comido y dos del grupo se fueron a casa porque estaban demasiado cansados. Continué explicándole a la camarera que ningún gerente o chef vino a disculparse con nosotros por el hecho de que habían olvidado nuestro pedido, ya que otras personas después de que nos sentamos habían comido y luego se habían ido; Me gustaría pensar que si este establecimiento continuara sirviendo al público, debería haber nuevo personal y administración para rectificar futuras decepciones de otras personas cenando. No volveré a ir allí nunca más y solo nos dieron una disculpa. Pedimos que nos devolvieran el dinero después de que nos dijeron que ahora estaban cocinando nuestras comidas. Ni siquiera le daría a este lugar 1 estrella.

Really disappointed today with the awful service by you all. Management was clearly disorganised tonight. Staff (of which the young girl with the bun in her hair) had awful attitude after we politely asked where our food was after an hour of waiting for food. All she had to say was well that's not our fault it's been havoc tonight. What actually happened was you forgot about our table... served everyone else. We ended up leaving and asking for our money back. In this situation only one apology was given who I believe was from the manager. However, with terrible service like this we should have had our money back, complimentary meal for a return and more. We arrived at 6.30pm and left at 9PM... of which we were told 'your foods being cooked now 'after we finally complained. I would also like to add that I had a 10 month old baby with me who was absolutely starved and distressed after waiting for so long... yet you all overlooked that. As someone who works in this industry there would have been a lot of sacking tonight on my behalf. Very embarrassing.

Don't think we'd ever go again, thought we'd give it a go make use of the eat out to help out scheme. We were only a small table and there were only two other tables yet our food took 45minutes to arrive and then some of it was cold. There was no atmosphere only kids screaming and running around definitely would not recommend for a nice quiet meal.

El pub ha sido reformado con mucho gusto y hay muchos asientos tanto dentro como fuera. El personal es siempre acogedor y ofrece un buen servicio. La comida es muy buena ya un precio razonable.Sin embargo, si fuera un recién llegado a la zona y entrara en el estacionamiento por primera vez, terminaría conduciendo de regreso. El exterior es muy poco acogedor porque está sucio, basura por todas partes, docenas de barriles vacíos, varios carritos de la compra de Morrison y una furgoneta de kebab maltrecha. Necesita una buena limpieza y algunas cestas colgantes (los ganchos ya están allí) probablemente atraerían a más clientes

I was totally appalled at the service. We waited 1 hour for our starters and it wasnt even busy, The food was definitely not worth the wait, it came out 1 by 1 so we were all waiting different times, NOT recommended 🤬🤬🤬

* update * 3stars It's going a bit wrong. The staff are friendly and I'm sure the owners are doing what they can. But too often the food is not good, if the food turns up at all, simple function events turn into fails. It feels like the place doesn't really know what it wants to be. Is it a sports bar? A family friendly pub? A restaurant & bar? Maybe, the place is just too big and they just don't have the budget from the Brewery. Again, most of the staff are lovely, but something just isn't quite working. *********** 5stars Friendly, albeit slow service. Fantastic play area. Staff really nice. Seems to have new additions and offers everytime we come. Owners clearly care about making it an amazing place.

Recently went for a quiet drink on a Tuesday night. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was very chilled, as we watched the football on the big screen. Didn't eat, but I saw some of the food going out to tables and it looked good. I also have been told the Monday night curry buffet if a bargain and pretty tasty! Very different atmosphere on a Friday / Sat night... Gets very lively with live music / bands. Worth popping in if you haven't been yet! Also a good place to watch sport, with screens everywhere!

I ordered a surf and turf with potatoes. After a while it came with chips. I asked about and cutlery. After a long wait and asking twice I got my cutlery, but still no potatoes.Eventually I finished my steak but the potatoes hadn’t arrived. They eventually arrived about 15 minutes later. Never asked about my meal.My daughter had calamari, but it was burnt and looked like the oil has needed changing.My Diet Pepsi was not right, the mix was wrong, it was watery.

No estoy seguro de qué esperar del exterior. Sorprendido de ver un pub tan grande, recientemente renovado, lleno de gente cuando entramos por la puerta.Fuego real, personal amable del bar, bienvenida personal y servicio del propietario. Los bancos de picnic eran increíbles: repletos de comida, no podía comerlo todo, delicioso. Comida caliente y sabrosa. Mucha variedad e incluso atendidos por un amigo sin gluten. Fantástico precio.Realmente lo recomendaría y una buena actualización original con amigos. Gracias a todos en la cresta y el surco por una gran tarde. Volveremos si así de nuevo.

Viviendo local y escuché que el lugar había sido renovado, decidimos ir a almorzar el domingo. Sin duda no volveremos! La comida era horrible, carnes fibrosas, verduras cocidas, etc. El restaurante era como sentarse en un granero frío, ciertamente no acogedor.¡Muy decepcionante!

Un amigo y yo fuimos allí hace unos 3 meses. Al pub se le quitaron las alfombras y las cortinas y se instaló un piso sólido. Podría ser la sala de espera de una estación, está muy vacía. A esto se agrega que la charla y la risa en ellos hacen eco en toda la zona del bar, lo que me hace molesto, pero especialmente angustiante para mi amigo, que usa audífonos.Creo que ha cambiado de manos ahora, pero si esto mejora la decoración, quién sabe. Quizás esta crítica lo haga.
