We've eaten here before and it's been good. Not so today. We ordered a sausage brioche bap and a bacon, sausage and egg brioche bap. For the two plus a water it came to £17.50. I'd have been happy with that if the two meals had arrived with some sort of salad or garnish, but no, bap on bare plate. Both brioche baps were quite stale. The service was good but it was pricey for poor food. Not surprisingly it was empty other than us, on a busy Wednesday lunchtime in a prime spot in the centre of Gloucester.

It was probably not their day. The crepes that are one the menu were not available and the personnel was grumpy, the tables were not clean. The food we ordered was okay, but nothing more than that.

if you haven't been here, what are you even doing? everytime i visit Gloucester, i will be at this cafe. the food is flawless, i will eat everything even if I'm full because it is so delicious. the drinks are absolutely amazing and delicious and some of the best I've ever had. the staff are really friendly and helpful too and their ice cream milkshakes are absolutely worth getting. i love this place, I've brought so many people here since discovering it.

The premises looked good from the outside and though there were only two Customers in Clementine at the time, the menu looked promising. I ordered my brunch and whilst the woman who took my order wasn't unfriendly per se, she was definitely 'cold'. There was no conversation or chat, no banter, just order, eat and go. The food was fresh and healthy but the sourdough toast was rock hard. The overall food portion was very small, considering the price wasn't. The seating is cold metal with no pad and as such is uncomfortable. The loo was clean and tables tidied quickly. The Clementine, Gloucester lacks warmth (and I don't mean the heating).

Stopped for a break as it was the only place we could find with Portuguese tarts. These were lovely - £2.25 each. Flat white and cappuccino were very nice. There is some intriguing window type seating that is too wide to lean back on without many cushions. Other seating is practical rather than cosy and comfortable. The table was also sticky to touch. Needed a quick wipe. Service was prompt and polite and the coffee was very nice and well presented.

I enjoyed the bacon roll and green tea for my midday snack, in this lovely eatery, situated just a few yatds from historic Gloucester Cathedral. Helpful staff, good food, and a peaceful atmosphere, and although only 6 shops away from the big Mac place, it felt that this was 1 million light years away in customer service, quality meals, real crockery and no kids shouting into their mobile. I will be back.

My recent visit to this cafe was all about grabbing a quick coffee. I left with quite a jolt, but not the kind I was expecting. For a tiny takeaway cup of mediocre coffee with oat milk on the side, I was left jaw-dropped by the hefty price of £3.50. The coffee itself was nothing to write home about, more like your average "instant burger-van coffee when there's no alternative" sort of flavour. It left me feeling disappointed and underwhelmed, with a lingering sense of having paid way too much. To make matters worse, both my wife and daughter decided to try the place independently on the same morning, and they too were equally unimpressed. With a total spend of £10 for three underwhelming coffees, it left a bad taste in our mouths three times over. Regrettably, this cafe won't see any more of our visits.

Nic location. So-so food. Disappointing 50p surcharge for sofa or oat milk instead of cow milk in drinks, so if you have dairy allergy, are concerned about environmental impact of dairy or just your own good health then avoid. This is 2023 and responsible choices are important without being penalised. Very questionable policy - try harder.

If you want to pay near £9 for a crepe that comes out of the freezer pre packed go right ahead but we’ll be going elsewhere in future and we have lunches work related and personally frequently so your loss.

10 for breakfast Sunday morning. Told to sit at the prepared table upstairs . We waited to be served and waited & waited eventually we ventured downstairs to remind both of the " I don't want to be here this early on a Sunday morning " servers . We were told the iPad order device fixed to the counter . So in a stiff upper lip attitude we went " old skool" with pen and paper Simples !!!!. After collating our order back down stairs we went . Only to be told no crepe mix ,no spinach and other non available items . Order amended we waited then 3 breakfasts arrived followed by 8 mins later 2 more then 7 mins later the rest . All served with the most sullen face I have seen in a long time . That lost a tenner and found a pound look. At no time were we asked if we wanted refills a lost £40 but apparently no bothered . On a good note excellent poached eggs and the carnivore full breakfast had superb sausage ,bacon poor though . Bill was £115 No tip left sorry but service was sullen and non caring . We will return as we always do just to give the place the benefit of the doubt However at the time of this visit would not choose this establishment if I had come to visit the Cathedral. Thanks for reading and keeping us high on the top reviewers list .Another review shortly

Been here three times in the past month or so, always had really nice coffee, especially the hazelnut latte, which I usually don't like from other places. Spent most of the day studying here, the top floor was a lovely, sunlit, calm environment. I had the vegetarian breakfast at lunchtime which was really stunning, especially the perfect eggs and the crunchy toast. Staff are friendly, and did the most beautiful latte art on my second latte. Absolutely the best café in Gloucester, especially as the lattes are more reasonably priced than most places, without being in any way small.

Menu looked lovely, as did the food, sadly that's all I can tell you. Our order never arrived. The chap who had the charisma of a cardboard box barely blinked as he mumbled about not getting the order whilst refunding our money. People next to us cleared their own table so that they could sit down and after 3 trips up to the counter with plates, said chap finally stopped arranging the saucers on the trays to be just the right distance and went to the table to take the last of the stuff. Girl serving was lovely and rushed off her feet and I felt sorry for her, we watched 3 customers walk out as fed up of waiting. It was a sunny Saturday so perhaps more staff may have helped? She looked horrified when our neighbours order came in but still not ours. So, after 50 minutes waiting we gave up and got a refund but, no customer service skills to apologise profusely or refund the coffee as well as a gesture of good will. A real shame as the food looked good. More training needed I think

The roll ordered didn't have any butter or spread. Lightly toasting the bun only made it dry. Customers came in and they wasn't acknowledged either even when asking a question. They walked out so you lost a sale. Coffee was fine and cake was fine. Only one staff member was working at the time 28/05/2021 early afternoon about 2pm.
