Family visit. Slow service but not in a hurry. Recommend the scampi (double up for £2.50) Steaks are a great deal and cooked according to order which is quite unusual. Great fish and nice burgers. Curry seemed good.

Good pub, nice food, decent people. No complaints! Just make sure you authorise your car reg on the screen 😉

Had a lovely meal as a family of 6 to celebrate results day. Everyone loved their food and I especially loved the halloumi sizzler, highly recommend! Service was quick and staff as friendly as always, Erin & Jamie in particular.

I ordered medium steak. They brought it rare! And the dish was missing salad because “ran out of salad “. Also when i ordered at the bar, one of the staff members was so rude and ignored me and served NOT ONLY ONE BUT TWO! Customers were waiting BEHIND me!!!! While i was waiting in line. Never coming back again!

Had a lovely family visit to the local Sizzling Pub ! Can’t believe how busy it was but all staff were run off their feet. As always were greeted with a warm welcome by JP at the bar and were served promptly Food as always was served in a reasonable time considering how busy they were and was piping hot and well presented hats of to The kitchen! Drinks were all served cold and promptly by JP at the bar who is always cheerful and talks no matter how rushed off her feet she is Will be back very soon Well done to Caroline and team

Decent atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food generally looked good. But I ordered a rare ribeye steak and it was served in a red hot frying pan. By the time it got to the table it was medium and before I’d got half way in it was the one up from well done. Couldn’t tell if it was a good steak as they’d coated it in some kind of flavouring.

Very chilled atmosphere, friendly waiting staff. Food was a little over done which some people probably would not like but I didn't mind. Prices were very reasonable and there's offers if you download the app. Free parking if you register your car inside.

I visited the Turmot Hor this week with some friends and we were all very pleased with our meals and the staff were so friendly and helpful. A curry was served to one of my party and it looked delicious that it made another member say she must try it. The Mac Cheese is tasty and cheesy. I believe the Hunters Chicken is also very good. Well done to the Landlady and her team.Two of my party eat regularly and always enjoy their meal and the atmosphere. I look forward to visiting again.

The food was excellent - our waiter Owen recommended the T-bone special that my partner had and it was delicious and very well cooked. The new look was great!

Haven't been here for a while but went in recently with a mate for a few beers. It wasn't busy but we were treated like we were an inconvenience. We only had one pint then left and went somewhere our custom was appreciated! I think it's a case of "if your face fits!"

Absolutely disgusting behavior from the chef and the manager, no wonder the staff don't stay, heard the chef shout and swear at a female member of staff and made her cry, and the manager did nothing about it, the chef was even pointing his finger at her and shouting up in her face, that is not how you treat staff, I will for one will never step foot in this pub again

I took an elderly couple to celebrate an 80th birthday. We all had the same - surf and turf. They wanted their steaks well done whereas I wanted mine medium rare. I have to say that these were probably the best steaks we've had in a very long time. They were all cooked the way we liked them and were beautifully tender and tasty. After that we were too full for desert. Top marks for the Turmut!

Delightful and welcoming pub that's part of the M&B Sizzel chain. Apparently always busy as it was at approx 2pm Tuesday. Didn't eat but the menu and choice of drinks looked fine. Lots of happy people incl the bar staff.

I didn't realise it was a sizzler and iv only ever been to the Hucclecote one and wasn't impressed so I wasn't looking forward coming to u but WOW the food was lovely, 110%better than Hucclecote. The Staff was even nicer

Nice beer garden, good selection of food & drink . Pleasant staff. Parking available. Food ok, quick cook Brake Brothers stuff. Had to send my hunters chicken back as I had about 20 peas & 10 chips, I was told it was an adequate portion, Not for £10 it wasn't. Wouldn't eat here again

This place must be the diamond in the Sizzeler range of pubs/ restaurants. Never waited to get served more than 1 minute at the bar.Sonny who was our server was top nothing too much trouble, a credit to your company. The girls behind the bar spot on, all of them with a smile on their faces. Turmot Hoer keep up the good work. Xx

I booked a table online and it was accepted via email. On arrival at there, there was no table reserved at all for my family or I. When enquired we were told that if the booking was after 4 pm we've been too busy to do it. My question is, why approve the booking if you're that busy and why weren't you ready when you knew we were coming in? As we wanted to eat, and it was too late to book anywhere else, we were placed in a corner where it was quite cramped. I also felt that the staff were a little rude and the food was a little mediocre. Not what I was expecting from an established business that I thought had a better reputation. I am unlikely to visit again as this has quite put me off. I don't feel that an acceptable response can be given to this, particularly as I have visited twice now and had a poor experience both times.

Visited with friends for drinks and evening meal. Served by Ruth - couldn’t be more helpful - and advised of slight delay on the food order. Classic mixed grills came out sizzling and were very tasty as was the curry house feast. Great value, food & service

Excellent food and service, having stopped for a quick bite to eat en route travelling to a family wedding. The pub was packed and even with this the staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We are not in this area very often but will certainly visit again when we are. Thank you ;)

We recently visited Gloucester for a couple of nights away, had a lovely time and this pub played it's part in that. We were looking for a pub to eat in each evening, found this one not too far from our Hotel, the menus and prices all looked good and decently priced so we went on the first evening. The pub itself was nice, plenty of parking, it was in a pay and display carpark but customers could enter their registration plate and park for free which was good. Service wise it wasn't busy so we got a table away, ordering was either on the App or pay at the bar, so nice and simple. The food came in good time and it was lovely, my wife likes a chicken burger so had the grilled chicken one with cheese and bacon, it was perfectly cooked and the bacon was crispy and perfect for how she likes it, the fries were nice too. I had the Curry House Feast which was fantastic, lovely curry with a Tandoori chicken skewer and lots of extras, all perfectly cooked and very tasty, nothing bland and boring at all. For pudding I have the Lemon and Raspberry Mousse and my wife had the "Pump Your Brownie", again both were great, very tasty and the mousse was very refreshing. I'm fact we enjoyed it so much we went back the second night too, this time I had the Big Daddy Burger which was huge and again came with loads of extras, was perfectly cooked and moist not dry like a lot of chain restaurant burgers can be and the best I've had from a chain for a long time, my wife enjoyed her chicken burger so much the night before she had it again, this time we were too full for dessert. The staff were great, the young lad waiting tables was polite and attentive, the girls behind the bar were friendly and efficient, we called the manager over to say thank you as well as I think not enough people do that these days when they have had a good experience, this review is to back that up but I think from now on we are going to make an effort give positive feedback while eating out too, they get told when things go wrong so why not when things are right? We couldn't fault it at all and next time we are around the area we will definitely go back, thanks again to the staff, it makes real difference in customer experience when you can see they are happy in their jobs.

The food here was amazing! For a pub this place has a great team in the kitchen. Food was hot, fresh, delicious and arrived within a very respectable 20 mins Much better curry than the Indian restaurant Polash next door.

Absolutely shocking to say the least. We went in for a family meal for half term and what a mistake that was. This is meant to be a nice friendly environment for families to come out and enjoy some time together but this wasn't the case today. 1 staff member in particular was very very rude to us and made us feel very uncomfortable and not welcomed at all. In our group we had 2 young babies who needed pushchairs and this was a massive issue because the pushchairs were In the way yet no one else was in the area. Also to mention that this very rude member of staff was stood at the bar with 2 other customers talking about us and the fact that we had no common sense and we should've moved ect is disgusting. No apology or anything from this member of staff when she found out that we all heard her bad mouthing us. Very very poor customer service skills especially when it's half term and you're advertising deals for kids yet the problem in this situation was the fact that we had a few kids with us due to it being half term. Disgusting and disgraceful behaviour coming from supposedly well trained staff. Never again will I be coming here. I do not recommend coming here especially if you have kids and need a pushchair for them.

Start with the positives, food nice and two other young staff members had some knowledge on how to treat people/ customers. Went in and went to a seat where there was 6 space and aslo had a toddler and two babies. My Toddler sat on a two seater next to it drawing, manager came over said would have to move off the smaller table as been booked and said no problem to where she told me had to move pushchair she looked so concerned about a pushchair and said when they arrived i would definitely move for them as was currently in no ones way and it was 12 30 and table was booked for 1.15, she then started to bash furniture around next to us. To top of she then was at the bar slagging me and my family off for having pushchairs and something about common sense, then to come over by our table and start talking to other customers about us. This was disgusting behaviour and she came across as a bully and made us feel so uncomfortable we wanted to leave without eating but had littles ones that had to eat. Won't ever eat here again.

Popped in for breakfast Saturday at 10.00hrs, big mistake. Took over half an hour to arrive even though there was only 8 others eating. When it finally appeared it was luke warm, well over cooked and not presented well at all. Left it in the form it was delivered and will therefore not be doing that again. However the coffee was good.

I had an email from sizzling with a 40% off mains only to find that Turmut were not in the offer. This was not made clear in my email and was in the generic term right at the bottom of the email. I have listed the Turmut as my prefered local so maybe it would have been better to have not sent me the offer as it was mis- leading. Then to top it off we were told the wait for food was around an hour, which was a surprise as the pub was not that busy.However, our food arrived 1 hour 40mins after ordering which is just not acceptable. Furthermore my wife's sizzling plate then set off the fire alarm.

We live locally & have eaten there twice since they had the refurb & have had good food both times & are returning with family very soon!

1 hour 45 minutes wait for food. That's terrible Unimaginable wait in this pub. This is second time with us. I don't recommend at all. It's torture.

Speed of service at the till was good. The fish we had was not enjoyable at all and we had left the fish uneaten. We did not have any customer service to our table to check all was ok. When our plates were cleared we mentioned that the fish was inedible. The lady just smiled and said sorry about that and left. We never had any substitute fish offered or alternative food given. We left feeling very disappointed with the service and care from your pub

Our usual hangout, we're still getting used to the new menu and haven't tried new entry mains. I would recommend mixed grill sharing plate or the sirloin surf and turf if you're in for meat. Drinks are what you would expect, service could be a touch faster at times but we can't complain.

I had the pie, mashed potatoes and veg. We waited a while for the food, understandably that they were busy. However, whilst eating it the potato was cold, in fact, a portion of it was freezing. Disappointing when the food should be served warm enough to eat. We returned it and it did come back hot. I feel that it should be hot coming out in the first place. The worst food experience I have ever had there. It will also make me think twice of ever having food there ever again - indeed, when we had the chance to go there again we decided to go somewhere else.

Had a fabulous lunch with my elderly mother . She had sausage mash gravy. I had chicken tandoori with sizzling veg. Both served hot and was absolutely beautiful, woukd highly recommended. Service was fab and landlady was so friendly and chatty. Will definitely be returning bringing the rest of thd family .

Our first visit to the Turmut since its refurbishment earlier this year and got to say it was a great experience. Great value for money, quick service, friendly staff and lovely food. Will definitely be going back.

We had a great evening. The pub was extremely busy and the bar staff were all friendly and efficient. The food was lovely and there was a Tribute Act for entertainment. The atmosphere was good and friendly with people dancing. Would definitely go again, highly recommended.

Would like to thank Owen, our grandson sitting in his high chair decided he wanted to try and grab a dish off of Owen as he was putting it on the table, Owen was so caring he kept checking up on him, he was also very helpful and happy, the turmut was very busy but that didn’t phase him. Great caring service

I've been going here regularly, about every one to two months for the last few years with my wife for a meal and drinks. Each time having both a good meal and good service. So pleased this local has maintained this good standard and here's hoping they will for many years to come. We'll done The Turmut Hoer and all the staff.

Visited for lunch wuth a couple of friends, last Tuesday. Booked a table it was fairly busy. Food was good, but little or nothing for coeliac's. Couldn't guarantee if food was gluten free. So disappointing. Good that they have a calorie count on the menu. Ordered as soon as we arrived, drinks, not alcohol, instant, but food took nearly an hour to arrive. There were only 3 of us, so not a large table. No baked potato back up for gf friend. So not somewhere to return to for us. Ok for most people though.

Wonderful experience! We had a booking of 5 and were greeted at the bar, although very busy, the staff were quick and friendly. When our food was brought out, we were served by the lovely girls, Freya and Naomi, who had a laugh with us and were very friendly and professional! Will be returning!!

There were 6 of us sat at the same table for a birthday meal and we ordered 2 seperate orders and asked if they could be brought out at the same time so we could all eat together but this was a problem as the orders came at different times so one group was sat looking at the other group eating food. My daughter ordered the belly pork and ribs combo when it arrived she didn't have the ribs, coleslaw, onion rings or gravy and was told that there were no more ribs left but they didn't tell her this when she paid at the till, she was just brought a plate of belly pork which looked like cut up pieces of gammon and a side of chips. After 20 minutes they gave her some onion rings and coleslaw. We ordered s classic double cheeseburger but they didn't put any cheese on it. We were told that we could use our blue light cards but we would have to use a qr code but there is no qr code on the blue light app and sizzling pub's or the Turmet Hoer isn't even listed on the blue light list so that wasted 15 minutes of our time trying to figure it out and we couldn't even use it, a lady with short blonde hair behind the bar was clearly getting irritated by this. The table was booked for 5pm and we were 6 minutes late so they gave our table to other people. There were no ribs, no cheesecake and no cheese on the cheese buger. We spent around £95 altogether and it was not worth it to be honest. All in all the birthday meal was a disaster from start to finish. Would of had a better experience grabbing a kebab from local take away and eating it at home.

My first visit in since the the refurbishment. Looks amazing inside and out. Couldn't fault the food or service. It was very busy and had to wait a little longer for food (about 30 mins) which can happen in any pub or restaurant so wasn't bothered to much. But when the food came out it was very well worth it. My Steak was cooked to perfectio Scampi was hot cripsy and very tasty. Had a very polite and well knowledgeable bar server (can't remember they name) helped me with the car reg thing as i am useless with technology. Well worth my little trip. Thank you to all x.

Came to the Turmut-Hoer for my friends birthday for a meal and had such a great time! The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was vibrant, would definitely come back again, highly recommended!

Lovely place for food and for casual drinks, very clean and well kept. All the staff were happy to help, we were struggling which dish to eat and they pointed us to the fish and chips and sizzlers! were so tasty. Highly recommend!

Visited this pub for a spot of lunch with a friend. Service was excellent and friendly. We had a garden salad topped with chicken and chorizo and the smoke house platter, they were both delicious and great value. I think the refurbished looks really good and the toilets were nice and clean. Will definitely be revisiting this place

Went for a meal and a few drinks after work. The menu had lots of choice. Did not have to wait long for the food. Enjoyed the atmosphere while waiting just a short time.

1 hour wait to be served food. Bad planing when nearly all tables were booked giving them an idea on how busy the kitchen would be. They are looking at getting more staffs which is probably about time. Still, for now this is not acceptable....

We booked for 19.45 hrs, arrived at 19.40 hrs there were 10 of us the table was not ready, dirty glasses still on the table and table very dirty and stick!!!!!!! Food all over the floor, crisp in particular looked like there were at least...

The refurbishment is really good, it’s really nice place to go to eat now. The food menu is new and much improved, and the food is still just as nice! It’s noticeable that it’s busier than before, so I did wait a little longer for my food.

Is this officially the worst local pub on the planet ?. Always a 40 minute wait for food!!. Reserved tables all over the pub. Kids can’t sit at certain tables depending on what staff are on duty , and what day of the week it is ,and who’s wearing what aftershave . You will wait for 20 minutes for a drink. Why has this pub always been so bad in such a vibrant community. ?. It’s now changed to a sizzler and nothing has changed. Hang on I know we will blame Covid. So disappointing it’s beyond words.
