The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Nice place, food very nice and reasonably priced, but £6.40 for a Cornish Cider and £6.90 for Guinness £3.90 for a coke, absolute robbery, no wonder Cornwall is pricing itself out of the market. Cheeper to go abroad.

We stayed in the lodge for two nights. Fabulous room nice and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. We loved the evening meals again lots of choice and very tasty. The best thing about this place was the friendly staff. Just up the road from Slimbridge I would recommend.

This pub has reopened recently under new management and things are looking up.

No atmosphere hardly any customers in there and the food isn't particularly great plus beer garden closed

Super fast service for a bottomless brunch. Victoria was absolutely fab!!

Exceptionally helpful and friendly service from the reception desk and throughout the hotel.

Full lulas breakfast was bacon cooked like cardboard, over cook sausages, snotty fried egg , cold beans , tiny amount of mushrooms, and half a tomato. Served with the smallest slice of very hard sourdough toast. To be fair the server brought more bacon when I ask , which was a selection of under and over cooked slices . No one asked how the food was ?!? We sat with dirty plates in front of us Until we left ! Never again! Shame , as it’s on our doorstep!

We've visited multiple times, service is always excellent, food always tasty. Prices are reasonable - even more so when they have offers on such as 30% off mains. Dog friendly dining areas are available as well as areas without dogs allowed. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Great local pub, very popular with the locals.

We met for an extended family lunch from around the country following an outing to Stonehenge. Great friendly service, who welcomed us and our party of 8 and two hounds. Service was fast, Food was tasty, beer was tasty. What more could you ask for

Greeted by the lovely Nicki, warm fire in the bar and a real cosy pub Fantastic choice on the menu which boasts huge local suppliers Local meats and fish all available, after eventually deciding what to have I went for the mixed grill Wow!!!! Perfectly cooked medium rare rump steak, lamb chop, pork chop, gammon steak, 2 sausage, chips, mushroom, grilled tomato and a fried egg Every single item cooked to perfection 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 And all of that for £35! Amazing value for money and made so welcome Cannot fault our evening and definitely coming back Thank you team Fortescue!!!!
