Full lulas breakfast was bacon cooked like cardboard, over cook sausages, snotty fried egg , cold beans , tiny amount of mushrooms, and half a tomato. Served with the smallest slice of very hard sourdough toast. To be fair the server brought more bacon when I ask , which was a selection of under and over cooked slices . No one asked how the food was ?!? We sat with dirty plates in front of us Until we left ! Never again! Shame , as it’s on our doorstep!

Disappointing visit today: Service took 60 minutes from order to arriving on the table. No warning before of wait times. No apology when finally food was delivered. Can only assume its considered ok to keep customers waiting so long or the owner/manager isn’t aware or doesn’t care. Price £15 crab baguette, £19 salmon kebab, £5 chips, £7.50 apple pie, £6 Bottle of legend ale, £4.50 bottle of ginger beer, £6.50 2 coffees. Two people eating, total paid £73.

It's a very pleasant location and a very nice pub to sit inside or out and look at the river. What let's it down is the QR code ordering system. The staff either don't know where the table or just seem to not bother. I've been a couple of times recently and experienced this. Shame

We were greeted as we opened the door with the staff sitting around chatting and the first greeting was there was no food until much later. We hadn't even indicated we wanted food. They have a sunny garden where we had hoped to sit and have a drink. We felt as though we were imposing and asked if we could just have a drink. What is it you want to drink then, asked a member of staff, very put out. We left. Certainly didn't want our business and wouldn't recommend a visit there either.

Great Service with courteous and friendly staff, but the best bit was Dinner. All the dishes were superb, but the Special Steak Suet Pie was spectacular, best steak and delicious gravy. You'd go a long way to find better than this. Thank you Brittania, we had a great evening

Such a shame but this was really disappointing. Pluses first, the waitress was lovely and my burger was very nice. We were told there would be a 50 min wait for food - which seems excessive as there weren’t many tables occupied. The other two dishes were very disappointing- the celeriac steak was the smallest main dish I have ever seen (and for £19!) - even the waitress was embarrassed and brought some extra chips. The catch of the day was ling which was nice enough, but the sauce was fairly dull and gloopy, and £24 for a small dish with no accompaniments. In all we had three main dishes and one starter between us, and with drinks the bill was £90, which I’m afraid we felt was poor value for money.

Came to Plymouth for a day out today with my husband brother -in-law and sister we decided to have lunch at the Navy pub on the Barbican, as we have been there previously a few years ago and it was very good food.Unfortunately we could definitely say that was not the case today. It was a very disappointing lunch,we had ordered 4 steaks which was as tough as old boots!!!!!! and full of grizzle !!!! was very tough to cut came out slightly warm, mushrooms deep fried, and grease dripping out of them a complete waste of hard earned money will never go there again.

My favourite pub in Bristol! Great atmosphere, lovely staff, great service and amazing food! I had the sea bass and my partner had the lamb shank - unbelievable. 10/10 would recommend if you’re in the area. Got the proper pub classics also with some extra dishes you probably wouldn’t expect!
