Visited for lunch on Friday. I opted for the fish pie. It was off-the-scale good; delicious, packed full of the various seafood elements, tasty sauce and topped-off with mash and cheese. Lovely staff and a nice vibe in the lounge. All in all a great lunch.

Had food tonight and the standard of food was generally very good but the whole experience was let down massively by the lack of service. They bought the wrong drinks, didn't check on the table, we had to leave the table and find a waitress to ask if we could have a dessert, but the worst part was they were taking all of the Xmas decorations down in the room whilst we were eating, such a shane as the food was very nice, it felt as if the staff didn't really want us there.

Went with the wife and the wee lad. Loved it been a few times now as not far away from where we live and always really good. Would recommend. Itâs located in a beautiful area to with nice walks about if ye fancy a stroll about after eating đ

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel restaurant at Gara Rock. We were welcomed for an impromptu lunch by the attentive staff which was fantastic. The views from the restaurant were to die for. We both had the tomato and red pepper soup and the ploughmanâs sharer which were both quite frankly the best weâd ever had. Their house polish bread was exquisite.

Been and had food here this evening, I had the chefs special, which was the faggots, parley mash, garden peas and gravy.......wow! What beautiful amazing, mouth watering food! The faggots were absolutely out of this world, the mash was smooth and tasted great. The gravy!......well that's drinkable đ± followed by lemon cake and cream đ. Soooo yummy

Good job we booked. Nice to see a local Pub doing so well. Visiting for the weekend we had a Sunday lunch which was very good. The staff were accommodating and very friendly. The need was very well cooked and the roasties were much. Only minor point is that we only got one half of a carrot and half a parsnip - could have done with a bit more veg. I had the apple crumble and my wife had banoffee pie - both were excellent. Well done chef. We shall definitely be back at some point.
