Had food tonight and the standard of food was generally very good but the whole experience was let down massively by the lack of service. They bought the wrong drinks, didn't check on the table, we had to leave the table and find a waitress to ask if we could have a dessert, but the worst part was they were taking all of the Xmas decorations down in the room whilst we were eating, such a shane as the food was very nice, it felt as if the staff didn't really want us there.

We had dinner twice at the Plume of Feathers while we were staying at St Anthony for a holiday. The pub is very dog-friendly and the staff were extremely helpful. The food was great, large portions, tasty and reasonably priced. The sharing camembert and the chips were the standout bits from the menu for us. We will definitely visit here when we are back!

Went here with a group of friends for Sunday lunch. The waitresses were lovely and friendly but the food was disappointing. We all had the roast which is the only option on a Sunday, the veg was bland and under cooked (parsnips seemed like they had just been boiled and were hard), potatoes were also hard and hadn't been roasted for long. We had to ask for more veg as there wasn't much initially bought out for the 6 of us. All in all the roast was not the best and we would not visit again for the food. There was no cranberry sauce for the turkey and it took ages for the vegetarian gravy to arrive and by the time it did my friend had eaten her meal. They had no fresh coffee, only instant and no dairy free milk. The cakes for pudding were OK but not amazing. Like I said the staff serving were lovely, I am aware they are under new management so maybe it is just teething problems.

Support a lovely independent pub where customer service, individuality and quality is such a refreshing change from the larger chain style pubs. I dined alone and was made to feel very welcome by the staff. The menu is varied along with a specials board so took ages to choose. Plummeted for the Homemade but restaurant style quality Fish Pie which was packed with seafood, topped with a gorgeous gratinated mash, flavourful and fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. Topped off with the brioche bread and butter pudding, scrumptious! Only regret is that it’s too far away from home but my waistline will thank me for that !!! Thanks again for a lovely dinner and to all the staff for their outstanding service. Recommended by Old Manor House, situated across the road from the pub, which is also a fabulous place to stay if you require a quality B&B.

Went in two days in a row to get gluten free fish & chips. On the first visit, they said they were closing early and suggested coming back the next day. They said they were open normal hours the next day. Went in the following day 4 hours before they were due to close, and was told they had no gluten free fish and were closing early, despite the reassurances from the previous day. They didn't seem to care at all about the service they were providing - I'd recommend the Rockfish restaurant nearby for people looking for gluten free fish and chips - don't come here.
