The Swan Inn Restaurant in Sedgemoor

We had a lovely lunch here after a walk in the woods. A great pub in a quiet setting. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious.

The setting here is beautiful we had high expectations as had heard some great reviews young girl was very friendly when we went in. I ordered a ham egg and chips but it didn't have any veg which i would expect at that pruce my husbands barbecue ribs didn't have enough sauce on and said salad but only had two leaves. My friend ordered the cheesecake but it was a rehashed one not what we expected. I was very dissapointed and for £89 for the two of us didn't give value for money. My husband also had the cheeseboard £13 for 3 little squares of cheese. Not sure if we will come back which is a shame as ideal for dog walk.

Great place for Sunday lunch, busy, but the staff were very attentive and provided great service. Good alternative selection to Sunday roast. Would definitely go back if in the area. Due to popularity finding a parking space beside the pub or over the road was difficult. Great to have free parking.

Went for a Sunday roast. There was a lovely atmosphere. A mix of families, couples and friends - even a few friendly dogs! The food was superb, one of the best roast dinners I’ve had in a long while. A real treat. I’ll be going back.

We had a lovely evening meal here at the Swan.Food was excellent and everyone in the group enjoyed their meals.The Fish and chips were the best I have had for ages.The service was generally very good, with someone on hand to quickly take our orders and serve initial drinks. However, later on when we wanted to order desserts it took ages for the waiting staff to appear.Then it took quite a while before the desserts appeared, which was odd as we only had ice creams, doughnuts and a slice of chocolate cheesecake.The pub is a lovely old building, and very characterful.Not sure why they had put up Xmas decorations in September though.!!??It was quite a warm evening and the heating in the Swan was on full blast, not sure this is needed, as both I and my sister in law both felt very hot by the end, as we were near the radiators.A good time had by all.

Great pub and place to stay. Beautiful location. Staff went above and beyond, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Room was fantastic, tastefully decorated - great shower. The only thing we could fault the place on is that there was not a fridge in our room, we would appreciate it if this could be considered. The only other thing to add is that unfortunately the properties intruder alarm went off at around 3am and although this was not the fault of the staff and turned out to be a system fault more explanation needs to be given in regards how someone can be contacted in the event of an emergency as we learnt the next day that there was no one on site during the night which did unsettle me a little.

Lovely 2 night stopover. Very comfortable room (the Old Rectory) and good food at lunchtime and in the evening, with daily specials available. The current management team has been in situ since the beginning of the year. Personally, I would discount reviews predating January 2024.

It’s our usual dog walking pub a few times a week where we always stop for our morning coffee. Haven’t eaten here in the evenings very many times so thought we’d come along. We’re well accustomed to its cosy atmosphere but haven’t tried the evening menu for quite a while. Must admit it was a real treat all-round. Food was top-notch - quality with good portions. Service was excellent as we always find. The Isle of Wight flatbread was to die for!

We stayed here for a night and had a fabulous time. The location is wonderful as it is close to Bristol airport yet quiet and secluded. The food was delicious with a varied menu and we were so lucky to get lovely weather. I would highly recommend the sticky toffee sundae! We sat outside to eat and it was idyllic. The room was newly decorated with a great shower and a really comfy bed. There are lovey walks from the door of the Inn. We will be back!

We stayed here for 3 nights and can honestly say we couldn't fault it. Sam the manager and his wife were so welcoming as were all the staff. Ellie gave us great recommendations for food and the food is exceptional, I would recommend the vegetarian roast and any of the vegetarian breakfasts. My husband loved everything he ordered. The rooms are lovely, bright and clean. The locations is perfect, we sat outside in the evenings enjoying listening to the birds and enjoying the peace and quiet. It was the most relaxing place. We would highly recommend if you are looking to get away from it all. We will definitely return.

We booked the Swan primarily because it was in the right place and reasonably priced. Our expectations were not high but our room is absolutely spot on , the staff could not be more helpful. The food is absolutely great and Wendy looked after us as if we were regulars. When we arrived cold and wet for our late dinner the warm welcome and helpful staff all made our choice of hotel everything we could have hoped for and far more than we expected.

Fantastic service, excellent roast dinner, more on the expensive side but worth it. Food came out quickly but everything was cooked perfectly. Even ate the fat on my beef which I rarely do. Would visit again.

We attended for a Sunday Lunch for my birthday. The food was exceptional. The meats were all cooks to perfection. The portion size was spot on and the cauliflower cheese was extremely cheesy. The desserts were also yummy! I tried the blondie with Rhubarb, something a bit different and the flavours were great. My husband as the designated driver was really happy with the no and low alcohol selection too. Highly recommend. Thank you.

I'm so impressed I'm writing this before we have left! We stopped over one night here for my husband's work on the way to a family holiday. I was alone in the room from 5 until 10pm whilst my husband worked with my four month old and dog. We booked the kiddy paws package deal which was brilliant...the pub is so dog friendly! The rooms are directly onto the car park but you still feel surrounded by nature. Ideal with a pup. The room was clean, bed very comfortable and had all the beautiful touches including beer and prosecco. I managed to get room service as I couldn't leave the room and the staff went above and beyond, they were more than happy and very helpful to accommodate my situation. The food was fantastic. Both my husband and I work in hospitality and this food was worth every penny. It's the little touches that count and this place has nailed it. We travel to Cornwall alot to see family and this has become our stop. Highly recommend and can't thank the chefs and staff enough. Book this place!

We stayed here for two nights in early April and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the pub and the friendliness of all the team. We had dinner on both nights and thought the menu choice was good and the food excellent, as was breakfast. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Great mid week fish supper. We had the trout, the mussels and a fish and chips. All beautifully cooked and piping hot. It was busy but the service was still great - thank you to lily and Luke for looking after us :)

A lovely pub, whilst in the middle of the countryside very easy to find. We had a nice two night stay for a wedding happening nearby.
