True Lovers Knot in North Dorset

Food is lovely, we had 3 courses. Very welcoming pub. Staff are friendly and helpful, cute room too, a little chilly but the heater works. Would stay again!

Excellent restaurant opening hours (all afternoon Wednesday to Saturday), good food, average prices. Will regularly get our business with the excellent opening hours!

Stopped in last night for a meal on the way home, lovely well cooked food.

Great place to stop for food. It was great quality. Service could have been better. But other than that it's a great place for a roast.

We booked to stay here in the camping area for two nights. Upon arrival a charity event was taking place so it was busy with lots of stalls and visitors. The lady behind the bar was lovely and did a great job checking us in and we booked in for a meal that night which was very nice. However, the facilities advertised as part of camping were not provided. The toilet was left full of rubbish from the charity event and not cleared, the toilet was not cleaned or replenished over the two days we stayed and the shower room which was dirty was never cleaned. I tried to replenish the loo roll myself visiting the building where the house accommodation guest entrance was located but found nothing and the pub entrance was closed surprisingly. Shame, because it is nicely located and when the pub was open, had a nice atmosphere and good food. Poor customer service from yourselves and anybody choosing to stay - take your own loo roll. Only had a drink but lovely traditional pub in village setting. Fortnightly pub quiz was on which was fun and a bit different. Would go again.

Realy friendly staff easy parking and caravan park

Popped in here with kids on way back from the beach. I'm old fashioned and do appreciate the bar staff giving it some 'I'll be with you in a moment' patter when I approached the bar. Acknowledgement. Nice. The service was friendly and more importantly the lemonades and shandy were ice cold. Kids could happily play on the crazy golf style gravel at the top of the beer garden. Can't comment on rooms or food but it felt a good place to be.

A really mixed experience. Beer was poor, and the end of a barrel blamed, but new one the following day wasn’t great. Nice, if limited menu, (new) chef very helpful and willing to deviate:accommodate. Camp site has been impacted negatively by the introduction of a rather ugly, dishevelled looking static caravan, which is such a shame.

Nice little B&B, bit out the way and not very clean but the rooms have character and the breakfast was fantastic. Some staff were quite unhelpful verging on rude but we were able to check in early which was great. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent pub, lovely staff and atmosphere

Great little campsite with laid back feel. Good sized pitches, will visit again if in the area. Only downside was wonky toilet seats in pub and no hand-wash in the camping toilet, so gross considering the amount of people using it and such an easy thing to fix! Ps, terrible WiFi and 4g on some networks so beware if taking moaning teens lol

Food was OK but the price of wine by the glass is con. We probably won't eat here again.

In planning to stay at the hotel we found there are no nearby restaurants so we booked for Friday night dinner seeing there were traditional fish and chips on the menu which suits us well as pub food. Sadly they did not have fish & chips due to a supply problem. As pescetarions this left us with the option of Greek salad - which was OK though plain small and expensive for what it was. I added a squid starter along with the salad and it arrived dry and overcooked. Not a good start to our weekend - we did not eat in the pub again.

Been here a few times now since new management took over. Always friendly and helpful staff with good food. Would certainly recommend.

New owners very friendly and eager to please. Great location with loads to do. Nice room. Clean and comfortable. Fairly limited menu at present but nice food. Great service all round, nothing too much trouble. Very pleasant stay. Great value.

We have eaten here twice this week as we have had a week off work. The first time on the spur of the moment for a quick sandwich. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the food so well cooked and presented we went back again for lunch later in the week. The menu was quite small, I believe that it is under new ownership and they are still settling in, but the food was excellent. There is a large outside area and dogs are welcomed inside and out. We look forward to eating there again.

A lovely country pub. Welcoming both people and dogs. Very friendly staff. We popped in for lunch and came away very full of delicious food, and very happy with our visit. We had a look at the camping ground, which looks clean, tidy, well run and perfect for those wanting to visit Wimborne or Blandford, or further afield. We'll be back!

Horrendous experience. New manager is unpleasant and defensive. Do not recommend new management sadly.

Our walking group has eaten here previously, and had a great lunching experience. It’s now under new management, and the kitchen is being refurbished, so unfortunately we haven’t been able to dine here after our recent walks (02/05/24). I’m sure that once the refurbishment is complete, it will be an excellent place to dine.

Extremely disappointing lunch. The menu was very limited, we chose “Mac and cheese with bacon bits and garlic ciabatta” which was served with no bacon at all, and a slice of bread from a sliced loaf of bread. They did offer to cook some bacon, but we didn’t want to wait with our food going cold. We asked for a discount and they took off just £1. Will not be returning.

Popped in for a coffee. Great staff and ample parking. The campsite looked nice as well.

Lovely pub. We visited on our way back from Bournemouth, and were not disappointed. A friendly greeting and a lovely atmosphere. Two of us had lunch of Ham Egg and chips, and Sausage and Mash. Both delicious and generous portions. Definitely worth a visit

Enjoying a Sunday afternoon drive, as in the old days, and stopped here for coffees only. Good service and a nice atmosphere.

We just had our wedding at the True Lovers knot and to say it was perfect would be an understatement. Heather, Barry and the team were so accommodating and friendly from start to finish which really put us at ease. Especially when other external factors didn’t go to plan. The food on the day was absolutely outstanding, quite a feat given we had over 70 hungry guests. They did everything with military precision, despite the fact that they had been let down on staff numbers that day. We just loved every second of it, and they have a huge part to play in that. Great place for dogs yogi says so good for food & drinks

Stopped on the camp site in our moho...lovely setting. We had a fab home cooked meal and the mains were so cheap but a good portion size. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Even made friends with our lunatic dog....wish you were on our doorstep ! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Recently stayed here for a wedding being held at this venue, from start to finish this place was faultless.The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the place it's self is beautiful, the room was clean, comfortable and inviting not to mention the incredible breakfast we had in the morning. 5 stars isn't enough for this lovely gem of a place, carnt wait to visit again, thank you again to everyone

Unfriendly bar service and unwelcoming, we were glad to leave.

From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left, we were made to feel very welcome by the staff and locals that were there. Heather and Barry were the prefect hosts . Food was superb, with generous portions. We will definitely be returning.

On our way to Blamford, stopped here for something to eat. What a wonderful pub and the food was delicious. The pie was so tasty my husband couldn't stop talking about it. I had the fishcakes, again a wonderful meal. Portion big enough to fill us for the remainder of the day. Couldn't thank them enough.

Friendly staff and a good range of beers and ciders. Only dropped in for a drink, but the food looked good too.

Camped their for a few nights. Facilities was decent and pub and food was on site couldn't ask for any more. Meals are really nice too.

Stopped on Thursday (bike night) had a nice glass of cider , friendly staff ,plenty of outside seating and ample parking, if any bikers out on a ride it's worth a visit

Very disappointed as popped in with my visiting family on a Friday evening about 8pm, couldn't even get a drink as they said they had already called last orders. Barely anyone in there too.

This is a good pub offering decent pub grub although lacking any local specialities. It has a nice, sunny garden, too As an hotel, it offers good sized, quiet rooms (despite being on a main road) and a great breakfast!

The evening meal, here, was a little disappointing. Being so close to the coast I would have hoped for some more local offerings but, having said that, the haddock and chips I received was probably the largest I'd ever encountered!

Lunchtime food was good value. Big garden. Would have been 5 * if we hadn’t been told off for arriving early :)

Charming Pub and a great stop for lunch on our way south. Lovely welcome from lady in bar who pulled 18 pints with a smile. Badger Ales Beat Bitter & Fursty Ferrett chosen. Pre ordered rolls, snacks & chips were soon eaten and appreciated Lovely garden for sitting outside. Noting they have Rooms plus Camping facilities which look good
