We had ciabattas for lunch which were very tasty. Good coffee and friendly people

Good vibes for drinks. Chill atmosphere and open late. Service a bit slow sometimes when it’s table service only, but they do get busy.

I wish I could say I have good memories of this place...not that I have bad memories, mind you. It's that Adventure is (apparently) the final stop of many a nights out. I have photo evidence of me being there, even. But as for memories, sadly they are all washed away by the copper flood that askews my senses, and so my main feeling about Adventure is "I know I've been there, and in the photos, I looked like I was having a damn good time."

Entró una noche después de una comida con amigos, se sentó dentro sin sentarse fuera, pidió bebidas mientras la camarera venía y preguntaba. Pedí 5 copas como éramos 5, 30 minutos después no había copas, , pregunté dónde estaban y compraron más de 4. La camarera era firme, solo 4 fueron ordenados, lo que está bien si se cometió un error. Como 5 personas en la mesa habría sido de sentido común 5 personas pidieron una bebida, cuando se le preguntó se abordó inmediatamente con actitud diciendo que solo pedimos 4 bebidas. Aparentemente fuimos groseros y la camarera se acercó al bar al instante para hacerle saber a la gerencia que éramos ‘groseros’. Cuando dijimos nuestra versión, ya se había pedido a la seguridad que nos pidiera que nos fuéramos. También estuvo de acuerdo en que no habíamos hecho nada malo. Sin entrar en detalles , efectivamente nos dijeron a dónde ir porque el lado de la camarera de la historia era correcto . El personal se resistía a la verdad y no quería escuchar y no estaba interesado. Estoy seguro de que pondrán de su parte, lo que resultó con una bebida que se lanzó al gerente, pero me gustaría reconsiderarlo antes de ir aquí. Si hubiéramos comprado otro trago y pagado habría estado bien. ocurre un error humano que está bien pero la rendición de cuentas podría ayudar a

Went in of an evening after a meal with friends , sat inside as no seating outside , ordered drinks as waitress came over and asked. Ordered 5 drinks as there was 5 of us, 30 mins laters no drinks, , asked where they were and they bought over 4. Waitress was adamant only 4 were ordered which is fine if a mistake was made. As 5 people on the table it would’ve been common sense 5 people ordered a drink, when asked it was immediately approached with attitude saying we only ordered 4 drinks. We were apparently rude and the waitress approached the bar instantly to let management know we were ‘rude’ . When we said our side , the security had already been asked to ask us to leave . He also agreed we hadn’t done anything wrong. Without going into detail , we were effectively told where to go because the waitress side of the story was correct . The staff were resistant to the truth and didn’t want to hear and were not interested. I’m sure they will post their side which resulted with a drink being thrown at the manager but I would higher reconsider before going here. Had we have just got another drink and paid it would have been fine. Human error occurs which is fine but accountability is major .

There was a mix up with my breakfast, and then another mix up, but it was handled so incredibly well!! I highly recommend this place for breakfast!

I just hate it when the manager is rude to the staff in front of the customers. She then went on to be shout at us telling us to just wait at the table then never came, even though after 15 minutes we came to the bar then asked to leave why are we at the bar. The food was ok but we were starving by the time it finally arrived. Embarressing to take your friends here, Avoid!

Consternado por la actitud del gerente. Ella nos recibió con "no toques mi bar" En lugar de un saludo te reciben con el ceño fruncido. La comida sin embargo era muy sabrosa. Todo era una tarea muy difícil para el gerente, ella nos dijo que era servicio de mesa solo entonces nunca nos sirvieron, pero fue nuestra culpa por no subir al bar. Luego la escuchamos hablar muy groseramente con otro personal que se sentía injusto y todos en el café se sentían incómodos. Rara vez dejo reseñas, pero este fue un servicio extraordinario "¿qué quieres" que nos hizo sentir muy desagradable. Recomendaría el club coppa en su lugar

I’ve been coming here for years, but most recently the menu has changed and unfortunately the food isn’t as nice. Doest cater for allergies very well. Disappointing

8 of us descended on this cafe on a Sunday early afternoon. The service was excellent, the coffee the best I had in Bath and the lemon cake was to die for!! There was a lovely atmosphere in the place between couples and groups of friends.

THE place to eat for breakfast! Exceptional food and friendly service.....and the seating goes a lot further back than you'd realise! No one could fault anything about what we collectively ate and drank. We returned in the evening too for drinks, and the evening staff were equally as warm and welcoming. Cant recommend any higher. First class eatery and bar.

Table service for drinks is a good idea but if the only person taking drinks orders (the young tall larger women with long hair) is smoking and sitting down with her friends while we waited for 25 minutes to put our order in, it does not look great. Felt sorry for her team who were working hard and struggling. Management should have a serious talk with certain individuals Wont be coming back anymore which is a shame.

This place is an absolute nuance to all neighbours and a disgrace with its loud music playing outside the back all hours of the night.

I was treated a dear friend for lunch today and she ordered a beef burger and chips and I had a Caesar salad. My friend was very uncomplaining as J was treating her and noticed she was not eating the burger with any enjoyment. I sampled one of her cold chips so I went to complain. The owner was informed and I have never been so insulted and rebuffed for complaining. I was told that I should have spoken up as soon as we got the meal but nobody asked kc we were happy. I asked her if she would be happy eating a dried up hard beef burger and she rudely said not if it was half rated by you. It was clear she was not going to offer any discount so I asked her to leave and she started to shout at us saying don’t ignore me I own this place you can’t ask me to leave. I used to be a regular customer but think it is in changed hands Snd I will never return. Appalling customer service where I was gaslit by the manager or owner

Staff were incredibly rude saying I should go to a corner shop to get a large glass/bottle of water. Saw them removing ice from my glass with their hands and even saw them taking multiple shots behind the bar. Alcoholic rude staff , must stay clear at all costs !!!!!

The photo doesn’t do it justice but one of the best ceaser salads. Such a big portion and well seasoned. The ice latte was good too sweet caramel how I like it. Worth the price reasonable :)

There were 4 of us there for breakfast today. Very friendly welcome and service. The breakfast was served quite quickly and tasted very good. Great place We recommend.

Great atmosphere and good WiFi, this place is a welcome place to stop for anyone visiting Bath. Once you have done some touristy things then rest up here with good prices and drinks!

We came in for a drink in the hope of eating, visited on 05072024 sadly the attitude of the two behind were disappointing and rude to us. They just didn’t want to be there, in Bath tourists are in important so the owners need to sort this quickly, as for me I will be telling everyone on the caravan park of my experience……Stay a away

Really enjoyed lunch here. Had a beef and horseradish ciabatta with a glass of Neck Oil IPA. Beef was tasty and lean. Portion size was just right and not too overwhelming. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Nice place for solo diners, will visit again next time I am in Bath.

My son and I popped in after the dentist and we had a superb lunch. We received an amazing welcome from David, who could not have been more friendly or helpful, and really made us feel valued. We had a lovely table in the window to watch the world go by as we ate. Our food was delicious. I had the rotisserie chicken with fries and my son had an amazing burger. Both were great and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend!

One of the best casual nights out in Bath. Don't fancy going all out at Labs but still want to stay out late? Adventure is your place baby.

Love this place! Great for coffee or drinks. I haven't eaten here but the food looked lovely. Fantastic choice of seating: in the window to watch the world go by, in the buzzy bar or outside in the conservatory or covered garden area.

Very friendly and chatty bar staff with quick service

While it is a lovely place, the food is sub par and expensive and the coffee is burnt and quite bland. As a location is quite beautiful thought, but I also want a good coffee or food when coming here.

This is our go to place when we come to Bath to watch the rugby. Today it was for their Full Monty breakfast which was excellent as ever. When we come for lunch it's always nachos for me and everyone else has either the burger or fish finger sandwich. Consistently excellent food, prompt and friendly service.

Nice place but I expected more about the food. I ordered a eggs Florentine and Benedict were served with a bad sauce, could be something homemade considering the price.

We went for lunch and, after 25 minutes or so we asked how long our food would be. The response was, there's only 1 chef. What I would have liked to hear was, I'm sorry about that, let me check for you. But the waiters attitude was really obnoxious and he seemed to be really annoyed we'd asked. The food was great but this staff member made me really angry. Maybe he should consider not being front of house. Reading the other reviews, it's such a shame because, as I said, the food was really good. Seems like the management need to work on their team and try to instil some pride into working there which would make it better for everyone.

Barmaid overcharged me even when I validated the fact that I was a university student, and thus qualified for a student discount. Took complete advantage of me being slightly intoxicated. Do not recommend

Amazing find in Bath! Lovely vive and great garden and seating area to the rear. Drink choices are excellent and reasonably priced. It is table service so in busy times it's a pain flagging down staff, especially the newer team members who were more interested in collecting glasses and avoiding the fact. Apart from this a cost establishment that's worth a pit stop in a popular busy area of Bath

Wow what a treat it was to find this place , we had a great time this afternoon with some really lovely friends but the icing on the cake was the service we received from Milly a young lady on her first day. I wish I had her working for me as her customer service skills were beyond her pay grade , She was charming sweet and delightful.She will go far in any vocation she chooses.Let’s hope she stays at the Adventure cafe as it is such a cool cafe bar…We will be back. We considered going to this eaterie, as it was right opposite the Travelodge where we were staying. However, given the many bad reviews regarding the service (or lack of it) there, we decided to give it a wide berth! This is a shame, as many reviewers also say how good the food is there ... Perhaps the Chef should have a word with the front of house staff, as they seem to be ruining what would otherwise be a great place to eat! 😔

I’ll start with the good, your ingredients are great the food and drinks tasted lovely. The service was shocking by more than one member of staff. Once we ordered our drinks were brought out and just plonked on the corner of the table we had to sort out whose was whose’s, no automatic offer of sugar/sweetner for the coffees, we had to ask. When our food arrived without any cutlery which we had to again ask for, it was cold. 2 of the breakfast were that cold we sent them back and what’s the point in asking if we want white or granary if chef just puts whatever they like on the plate? A few simple things would have aloud us to enjoy the great food you cook. 1. Serve with a smile, please it brightens our visit and your working day. 2. When hot drinks ordered bring sugar etc straight away. 3. Put food and drink in front of person ordered it. 4. Warm plates keep hot food hot 5. Cutlery to the table before the food

Liam was unreal helping me with deciding what to decide. He is quite literally the best geeza and no one can beat him. People could learn a lot from him about how to relate to people and serve them at the same time. We love you.

As others have said, the staff here are incredibly rude (some of the worst I've encountered) and walk around with a permanent scowl on their faces. Don't dare ask a question or you'll be met with disdain! They also allow people to smoke in the back garden terrace, even though its an enclosed area, so basically this is a no-go area for non-smokers. Shame, because I used to love coming here when I worked in Bath. There are nicer (and friendlier) cafes to spend your money in Bath so I'd suggest skipping this one

What a spectacular beet soup🙌🏽 so so good. The goat cheese salad was amazing as well. Very cute spot. The only thing to improve is the service, but seems like a UK problem

As others have said, rude staff that insist on table service, even when the venue is empty. The staff are more focussed on talking to their colleagues than serving customers. AVOID!

Absolutely shocking service. Rude staff and even worse management. They make you pay for food before you have received it. You then have very little recourse when the food that you ordered doesn’t arrive. When this questioned you get abuse from rude staff. As others who have reviewed have always commented on. AVOID !

Staff are extremely rude. Horrendous customer service. A portion of chips didn’t arrive with the lunch and we asked twice for them after, each time waitress would roll eyes when asked. Chips arrived after we had finished our food, when we asked for a refund as we no longer wanted them waiter stormed off muttering about us to a coworker. Then called one of our group an Old Prick. Before waitress came over slamming the change on the table. Extremely horrendous staff, not worth the time or money. The WiFi doesn’t work in there and it’s clearly because they don’t want us to be able to review!! Horrible people really ruined the day!

Avoid! The worst customer service I have ever experienced! Part of our order didn’t arrive, when we asked a second time for it we were met with bad attitude. The side order of fries eventually arrived when we had all finished eating so we respectfully asked for a refund as they were too late - to be met with more bad attitude. When complaining about that attitude the server was insulting. The only recommendation I would give about this place is for customers to avoid like the plague and for senior management to either train or fire their staff with immediate effect!

Absolutely shocking service. The staff including management are incredibly rude. The food late and as they take payment upfront so you have no choice but to wait. If it had been a restaurant the customers would leave without paying ! ( as per previous reviews ) I would definitely not recommend coming here.

The last 2 times I have come in here for a drink the staff have insisted on table service when the place was dead, with empty tables and chairs everywhere. Very bizarre rule, it would have cost them a lot more time to wait for us to sit down and then come over, than it would have to just serve the drinks by the bar that you have to walk past to get through to the garden anyway. The woman who told us was also rude in her approach. I’ve been served at the bar plenty of times in the past, but find this more recent rule a pointless barrier to trade. I will not return as this has happened twice now. It’s a shame because it’s otherwise quite a nice place but the staff and stupid insistence on table service have ruined the vibe completely for me. Avoid unless you want to visit an inefficiently run pub (that thinks it’s a posh restaraunt) with more red tape and bureaucracy than the European Union.

Nice place. My Ham and cheese toastie could have done with something extra. Maybe some mustard, maybe sourdough bread.maybe some butter spread on the outside. It was very average, I could have made it at home.

been here a few times, but never again, staff have the ultimate chip on their shoulders for some reason, sat at table for 15 mins after being told it was told it was table service on entry, sat in empty bar inside, staffed stood talking at the bar, tried to go to bar myself and was told again it was table service, further ten mins past and still no sign of asking what drink we wanted, staff not interested ??? avoid avoid avoid

Adv.Caf. is an AWESOME place to go! Been in summer and winter; outdoor seating has table brollies so can even be enjoyed in light summer drizzles. (Heaters for winter.) Fab selection of drinks, & a darn good coffee machine, too! Fantastic ppl workin there means excellent service -- TABLE service, so take a seat and they'll get to ya. Inside seating is well dispersed, incl. front window seating to watch the world go by on George St. (Opposite (L-R) :: Wagamama, Travelodge, & Revolution (bar/club), so not much to look at really (LOL!) Fab atmosphere as decent ppl frequent the place. ;)

Don't bother, plain and simple. Was refused service at the bar, and told it was table service only. To then see the waitress sat in her phone and having a smoke with her mates and ignoring people trying to order. Ended up sat for 30mins and unable to order, so left. An absolute joke

Music can be good at times, but the service is dreadfully slow, really quite disappointing. Having to turn on the heat lamps every 20 seconds also really gives you an arm workout!!!

It was a beautiful sunny day so we decided to sit on the back patio, which was bright and spacious. The inside looked a little dreary but that might be my perception after walking in from the sun. Beers on a hot sunny day always go down well. The eggs Benedict were good, but the hollandaise sauce was a little runny and the English muffin was a little tough. The service was good, as the waitress was pretty attentive. If I'm ever back in Bath I will be coming back for a pint or two on the patio.

A wonderful place to go and eat when in Bath. Food excellent, service very good. A lovely relaxing atmosphere. Definitely a place to revisit next time I'm in Bath.

There is a very chilled out atmosphere throughout the bar with a few tables out front which are great for ppl watching. There is also a suntrap courtyard outback with adjustable covers which are great incase of rain. The menu has obviously gone for a please all approach serving burgers, pizzas, sandwichs plus a few fancy sides, which I have to say are done very well and I will always prefer quality over quantity in choice. The service was excellent, staff were friendly and attentive. We stayed for a few hours after food and didn't realise the upbeat vibe of the bar at night..very enjoyable!!

Greeted by a lovely waitress only to have to ask the other one to clean our table (gulls loitering around the back for scraps). That was clearly a mistake! Met with rolling eyes and table cleaning fluid being sprayed off the cloth into our drinks. Asked for drinks to be changed. Met with outright hostility. When we politely tried to explain that we didn’t want disinfectant in our drinks she became more hostile and rude. Hygiene and service need serious work. Sorry for the other waitress who was very polite and actually doing all the work.

Lots of seating including a back outdoor area, good food, great service, lots of drink choices, coffees juices and more!

Great drinks and garden and also some cover for the wetter/colder months. Staff very nice also. The busy side of the place at night they manage very well. Nice spot in the day but this place in the evening now attracts not the nicest of customers which really ruins the experience.

Your staff need training as soon as possible. Don't work in hospitality if you're going to be miserable to customers! Especially the woman working at the bar. Had one drink and then left.

We left before ordering. Incredibly rude female staff member at the bar (12/04) didn't welcome us, told us "If there's a seat, it's free" when we asked where we should sit, and then when we sat down and my partner went to the toilet, bumped into the same staff member who glared and muttered rudely towards her. Caused the birthday girl to cry, so we left and was instead welcomed by The Botanist where we enjoyed a lovely birthday meal. Absolutely shameful conduct by the staff member at Adventure who needs to be trained thoroughly in customer service. It is definitely not the way you should treat guests and as a reflection, the company lost a £150+ order. Members of our party have previously visited but we will not be again. Avoid.

A lovely breakfast with my girlfriend was blighted by a very unpleasant and unprofessional exhibition from the Supervisor and of the staff in general. We sat and listened with growing discomfort as an employee Was undergoing what seemed to be a disciplinary interview. What baffled us was that the supervisor and even the owner, felt this was appropriate for Diners to experience. This should have been done back of house or at least before diners have been seated. The manner in which the Supervisor spoke to the young man was oppressive and ill natured. He had been missing shifts and unreliable, but there was no questions of his well being or any help offered, just a draconian and spiteful telling off, loud enough for everyone in the large room to hear. What's worse is after the boy left, his colleagues laughed and snickered somewhat congratulating her, including the two owners who were also seated at a table. Any illusions of a friendly family run business was shattered for me. I personally would encourage that young man to pursue disciplinary and grievance procedures against his employers. I would gladly act as a witness. Disgusting bullies.

Don't go here if you just want coffee, they aren't interested! Visited late Sunday morning, found myself a table, sat down and waited for at least 10 minutes. Not once did the waiter look over in my direction despite my trying to catch his attention. I sound bitter but in my opinion this is the all too common face of the UK service industry - no wonder we have poor productivity, people don't want to work in the foodservice sector and provide good service!! When I told a member of staff about my disappointment as I left his response wasn't "I'm sorry about that" but "no worries"!

The food here is amazing!! Lots of vegan options, the vegan burger is insanely good. Just so tasty. And very friendly staff. Lots of seating. Highly recommend

My husband and I have just left after a fabulous lunch (highly recommend the fish finger sandwich). Really chilled atmosphere, cosy and stylish, really friendly staff and great outside space. Will definitely return next time in Bath

Really lovely food, despite their long wait times. Unfortunately, their customer service skills has dropped significantly since I used to visit. Now the staff there are very rude and seem to be more interested sat down playing on there phone, rather than doing their job. Not very helpful or friendly at all.

Poor service; my gf soup arrived 20 min before my ham & cheese toastie. The toastie was then cold & had to be sent back. In addition the food is massively overpriced; think being charged £8.50 for a cheap super market toastie. Also you want cutlery? That'll be there 5 min after the food is served or not at all

Such a beautiful place which is deceptively large at the back with lovely patio heaters that keep you nice and snug while you soak up the atmosphere with your friends and family in the centre of Bath! The food is to die for. I had the Pig pizza and the quality of the toppings was top notch, while the quantity was just right! The staff were a great laugh, nice and laid back while delivering great suggestions to food and drink when you ask for it. I absolutely love it 😍

This is a great cafe in central Bath. The menu had changed since my last visit and I thought it was better. Excellent beef ciabatta. Friendly staff.

Would advise to avoid, in favour for a smaller cafe in the town. Looks nice, and is a huge outdoor area, but really slow service (40 min wait for drinks and food) plus the food arrived cold, missing items (full monty/English arrived without the egg) and with dirty cups. Mentioned to staff, but just couldn’t stand to wait for so long to have the cold food rectified. Saw others return cold food also. They also insist you pay when you order - possibly as it means you need to stay. Red flag for me.

The food is very average, poorly presented and of poor quality. And the service is terrible.

Service was quick, food was nice, outside in the garden was nice, I had a baby with me and they only had one high chair that was already in use. Also stairs in multiple places, so difficult if you have a pushchair or you use a wheelchair, as no ramp. The price wasn't too high but you can get a cheaper toasted sandwich in Bath elsewhere.

Loved this place, we spent an entire work day doing remote work and it transitions seamlessly from a coffee shop vibe to bar at night. Loved that they were open late, its an ideal spot! They have an abundance of seating, inside and covered outside too. Lots of plugs for charging so pretty much a digital nomads dream.

Just had lunch today with my daughter and the open chicken wrap was amazing! Service was excellent too. Will definately return! Thank you 😊

Open at 10 on a Sunday. A lot bigger than it looks from outside. Lovely garden area. Great breakfast choices. 4 of us chose different and all excellent. Great service, vibe. Highly recommend.
